Cringetober Day 01 - Heterochromia

I am here to bring you some of old ocs back from when I was still wrote all my oc lore in german ajksdhgasdj More info under the cut in case you're curious about these two

Dizzy (short shapeshifter, they/them) and Tam (tall Alb, he/they femme literal horror) were part of a story revolving around the aftermath of a king's death.

Did they kill the king? Maybe. But they both think it was their good right considering what he's done to their communities. But this story isn't about murder, it was actually about healing and maybe also revolution, with them travelling the realm to see that all the oppressed communities get a chance to use this power vacuum to create some safety net for themselves, so history can't repeat itself.

With each group they visit, another person joins their little gang and they slowly grow a found family that still never manages to make the loss of their prior family and culture hurt less.

... Did I ignore a lot of these ideas when working on the story back in 2017 to just picture these two kissing? Yeah u_u (cringe)

If I were to rework this story, I'd probably take it from a classical fantasy setting and add a lot more sci fi elements into it. Less clear 'the king is dead' moments and more of a power struggle between the remaining monarch, with lots of backstabbing and the onset of a proper revolution. I'd also remove a lot of the very mainstream fantasy creatures and replace em with more local stuff because looking back choosing an (Nacht)alb / Mare as a protag was neat!

Not sure if i will actually ever rework this tho - Im still thinking back to this story with fond memories because its one of those few projects i planned through to the end.
