• the Alderidge family is a family of mages who specialize with communing with the dead. They are excellent necromancers and mediums. They are often sought out by people who want to commune with their dead relatives

• Alex is the middle child of said family.

• she doesn't like communing that much with other people, her parents didn't mind it that much so she never really got pushed out of her comfort zone

• because of this her childhood was mostly spent in isolation only communicating with her siblings, she had a lot of time to master and refine her skills as a mage

• her family hired her private tutors, the best in the land to help her improve, out of her siblings she has the best affinity towards necromancy, though she rarely uses it

• out of her siblings she's the closest to willow since they're both introverts. Willow was the one who first introduced Alex to the internet and gaming, because Alex held Willow in such high esteem she tried to undetstand how online gaming worked and soon got the hang of it and enjoyed playing it

• she mostly stays inside her room either studying or searching around the web. She's pretty blunt and doesn't hold back which sometimes run people the wrong way

• She got in Night Raven thanks to her parents, they saw the announcement about new female enrollees and applied her there. Thanks to their family name she automatically got in

• when she learned this fact she was ticked off because she didn't have a say in her enrollment, but on the other hand she was also glad her parents didn't send her to dca, like victoria

• She tries her best to keep up with her studies but she has a bit of a culture shock when she first arrived at Night Raven

• Because their teaching style was catered to a wider array of students Alex had a tough time adjusting herself to it

• she mostly relied on her stock knowledge in the earlier months of studying there

• thankfully as the months went by she managed to adjust to the teaching style

Was once a Joke creepypasta oc for a friend's discontinued wattpad story.

She was brash, agressive, a little bit too obessive and was willing to obey any of the tasks given to her by the creepypasta's *cough* especially eyeless jack *cough* but such is the point. Nothing much has changed from her behaviour and design other than her being toned down more. Her obession is still there but transferred to Vil

As you can see she is very blatantly a joke creepypasta, I wanted to fit as many references that I can into her design, so far

I mostly transferred her as a Twst oc because her specialty was poison and guess which dorm I thought she fit in best~? That's right! Pomefiore! Built on the hard work of the beautiful queen! And as a bonus they had students who excelled in alchemy and making potions! Totally fit for Cecily right~?

Ooohhhh boy, where do I begin?

WITH A LIFE STORY OFC!!

Ok so back when I was in 7th grade and at the height of my Creepypasta obession, I also started getting seriously into drawing *cough* by serious I mean that's when I started with using a base *cough* and because I can't draw myself (god knows it's because I only know how to draw characters with anime bangs and irl me has no such thing) I drew Alex! Here's her very first design

I wanted someone tomboyish, someone who you'd think is a guy at first glance but is actually a girl, someone WHO'S TIRED OF EVERYBODY'S SH*T AND WHO CURSES LIKE A SAILOR

And so Alex was born

She was my very first oc and so she has a special place in my heart. With the creepypastas she was careful and sneaky, her kills left no trace. She wore a kitty mask with black tears dripping from the mask and her weapon was a knife

When she was super angry or snapped she had a demon form with her. She had gouged out eyes with black tears flowing out, her mouth streched longer on her face and contained a set of sharp pointy teeth. On her head she had massive pointed horns that could be used to stab someone to death. Her outfit stayed mostly the same

Her partner in crime was BEN since they're both techno geeks. Alex in her creepypasta version was a black hat hacker, the best of her kind.

Random fact but I think I remember making her half ghost so she could float but I may have retconed that after I made her have a demon form

Now why did I make her a Twst Oc? Well you see that's a long story that involves me explaining my personal universe made especially for my self insert and them. But tl;dr I made her a twst oc because of Amy and Cecily

Cecily, Amy, and Alex were originally supposed to be dca ocs for me and my friend's personal rp, but when I looked at them closer I realized how they fit soooo much better for NRC instead .

I mean they had pretty scummy origins, well except for Amy (but I might twist her a bit to make her more wicked~ to fit in with everyone since all of my ocs have a cruel and twisted side to them) so I figured since they fit so much better at the NRC dorms I might as well make them into NRC ocs instead

So tl;dr my ocs started off as creepypasta ocs but since I got attached to them and they fit in as twst ocs I made them twst ocs

hudson’s the youngest child in a big military fam. his dad is a marine, and all five of his older siblings have enlisted in some branch of the military. 

growing up, his dad was always trying to toughen them up. he had zero patience for them being upset or anything like that, so hudson had to learn to bottle up all of his emotions. if he cried, his father sent him to his room until he could ‘control himself.’ he’s a real piece of shit. 

they moved constantly. hudson would attend one school for MAYBE two years, usually less. he never really made friends, because he’s a baby introvert and that was not enough time to bond with people. plus, he’d just have to leave eventually. also he was bullied pretty badly in seventh and eighth grade, which did a number on his confidence. 100% he still thinks he’s weird and a loser to this day because of it. 

high school was the first time he was in one place for a while. he made some friends, and ended up joining a very Quirky drama club. it was weird and the shows were TERRIBLE, but hudson developed a love for acting and he was actually happy for the first time ever. 

applied to alderidge because his best friend forced him to and he got in !!! which is good because his father kicked him out because he wouldn’t be a Good Little Boy and join the military ( again, he is SUCH a piece of shit )

as a result, hudson is here on partial scholarship / work study. he works in the library at random times during the day to accommodate his class / rehearsal schedule. 

at alderidge, he basically devoted himself to proving that he deserved to be there. he worked so hard - he was always early to rehearsals, and he spent hours pouring over the script, learning usually three parts per show just in case the leads couldn’t go on. 

orson didn’t hate him, but hudson definitely wasn’t his favorite ( obviously ). he could tell hudson worked hard and genuinely wanted to be better. he wasn’t in it for glory or fame; he wanted to be the best actor he could be. so, orson would occasionally give him bits of advice.

hudson never disliked orson. a small part of him did resent orson, but he also hated himself for just not being good enough. hudson always thought if he could just push himself harder, orson would think he was worthy of a lead. 

he fully blames himself for orson’s death. if he had just been able to break up the fight between orson and teddy, orson would still be alive. more than that, he feels so guilty for covering things up, but he absolutely will not let teddy go to jail for this. he won’t. 

personality 

outside of the whole murder thing ? he is SUCH a genuine guy. i think most people in the theatre department would know that he’s a very honest, humble sort of person who just wants to be good enough. 

hudson’s a very sweet person. like, he isn’t prone to getting revenge or manipulating people to get what he wants. which is why i am SO excited to see him get put in situations where he has to in order to not go to jail !!!

more introverted than extroverted, but i would say he still socializes with everyone considering they’ve all been in the same program for four years. he just occasionally needs quiet time alone.

books have always been his safe haven. his dorm is littered with random books, and he usually cares one around along with his script. 

orson told him that the reason he didn’t get leads was his lack of passion. basically, he’s a very good actor, but others can portray genuine emotion and be more vulnerable than he is on stage. he has a hard time fully letting go due to his father constantly trying to make him repress his emotions.

he technically has undiagnosed anxiety ( after having a panic attack in middle school, his dad refused to take him to a therapist and instead was basically like ‘i am disappointed in you’ ). hudson occasionally has panic attacks, when he pushes himself too far / gets too stressed. but it’s never happened in front of anyone else because he’s very self-conscious about it and it would upset him more for someone else to see him like that. 

hudson ! is ! not ! coping ! well ! after the murder / cover up. like, he regrets it in some ways and he’s just feeling really guilty and scared over all. he doesn’t want to get caught, but he feels sick about everything. like, if he could go back and change things, he would in a heartbeat. 

wanted connections

okay so besides the canonical ones, i would LOVE to see:

someone he tends to gravitate towards when it comes to working on scenes, or running lines. someone who he just works well with as actors.

someone who he finds annoying. he’s probably too polite to tell them, but i think some people may be a little much for him.

someone he had a fling with first year and they have NEVER discussed it and it will remain that way.

someone who he likes to goof off with. he’s so serious at times, i would love for someone to bring out a goofy side in him.

someone who’s noticed he’s not his usual self ? maybe they can tell he seems a little more distant, and a lot more stressed than usual. 

his sparing partner for combat class. like, the person he usually partners with because they end up sword fighting a lot in shows or something ? 

a bunch of other stuff !! this is just suggestions, i am so open to any and all plots.

THEODORE “TEDDY” NEWELL-SMITH as THE JUVENILE (fc: rudy pankow)

EVIE, not only was teddy absolutely heartbreaking from beginning to end, but i could feel the attention and care you put into crafting him with every word i read. all of the little scenes you included had me so emo, from the meeting between teddy and his dad (i was crying at “he believes him”) to the final words orson said to him. in so many ways, teddy is a scared little boy, but there’s so much more to him that i can’t wait to see brought to life. 

PAOLA PEREZ as THE LEADING LADY (fc: sofia carson)

KIWI, paola was so unexpected, but even after finishing your app i just couldn’t get her out of my head. everything about her background cultivated so seamlessly into this nuanced, imperfect drama queen. i love that her desire for success was driven by wanting to give her mom a better life, you gave her so many layers beyond the selfish diva described in the skeleton and i’m so excited to see where you take our leading lady!

GRACE ISHIHARA as THE SCENE STEALER (fc: reina hardesty)

RED, i don’t know how to convey in words just how stunning this application was. everything about your writing is so beautifully deliberate, so neatly constructed (so…grace like, if you will!). you wove a story from start to finish, with each little thing connecting to another. and that story? breathtaking. i saw the scene stealer in every part of her life - from chasing perfection at ballet, to imagining herself in orson’s footsteps and all the way to her wholehearted devotion to people. i cannot wait to see grace on the dash!

ALEXANDRA “LEXIE” O’BRIEN as THE STATUE (fc: hunter schafer)

BEE, you’ve mapped lexie out so vividly that she just jumped off the page from the moment i read about why she was sent to live with her grandfather. i loved seeing the map of their personality, separated between the internal and external parts of them, because it’s an incredibly important distinction for lexie. you’ve allowed her to be both cruel and soft, simultaneously angry and scared and insecure and vain in a way that works. i also adored the expansion of lexie’s aesthetic -- just an amazing attention to detail!         

JULIAN BENNET as THE STUNTMAN (fc: fady elsayed)

ALEXA, where do i begin? with the way this app was structured according to fencing positions? with the tiny little details that made julian feel so real (my heart shattered with the harris treaty!)? everything about this application screamed stuntman - from his grace at his first fencing match loss, his way of befriending the underdogs and his continued resistance to being changed by alderidge. i cannot wait to see our resident with a heart of gold in action!

MADELINE ‘MADS’ LE as THE SUPPORTING ROLE (fc: lana condor)

MISHA, i won’t lie - this choice was a tough one! what drew us back to your application was the attention you paid to mads’ time at alderidge - her journey from starlet to black sheep. i love the idea that she does community theatre - and the concept of dragging all her peers there! with her wicked tongue and fishnets, i know mads is going to be an explosion in this roleplay - and i can’t wait to see the chaos she causes.

ZAHRA MALIK as THE TEMPTRESS (fc: mishti rahman)

NATALIA, with six temptress apps, this was always going to be an agonising decision. what sold us on yours was your unconventional portrayal of the temptress. there’s nothing i love more than being surprised by my own skeletons - and zahra certainly did that! from her birth on andromeda’s rock to her unconventional theatrical training, zahra was so fresh. but i think what really sold me was how you dug into hers and orson’s dynamic - her reason for being cast as cressida was super spicy - and one i never would have come up with!

JUDITH CHANDLER ROSEN as THE TOMBOY (fc: diana silvers)

JORDAN, there’s something so special about an app that just sucks you in and doesn’t let you go, and reading about chandler absolutely did that to me. she just feels so real, every detail you included was so perfect that it’s hard to focus on any one. it’s so funny to me that chandler’s beginning as “the tomboy” was just that there weren’t enough boys in her high school theatre department to fill the male roles -- and it just became what she was good at! 

HUDSON WILLIAMS as THE UNDERSTUDY (fc: michael evans behling)

ASH, i just want to wrap hudson in a blanket and keep him safe forever, is that too much to ask? you’ve got me absolutely sold on this characterization, from the pressure he felt from his military family to a perceived lack of passion being the reason he could never break through into lead roles. it’s obvious that hudson is really not coping well right now, and i’m so excited to see where you take him from here!  

JASON PALMER as THE UTILITY (fc: jordan fisher)

DIANA, our cast of characters would not be complete without the utility and diana, i am so glad that you will be taking them up! your application was an absolute joy to read! i particularly loved the paradox between who jason is and who they want to be - i can’t wait to see that dichotomy played out on the dash! and your future plots section? chefs kiss! that moral quandary and the fallout from orson’s death (and how jason navigates it) is going to be so fun to watch unfold!

JONAH PRYCE as THE VILLAIN (fc: alex fitzalan)

TARA, this decision nearly broke me. we had so so so many good takes for the villain - and i was still torn until about five minutes before this note was written! however, in the end, i just couldn’t say no to jonah. everything about this application took my breath away - its originality (how achilles was orson’s punishment), its detail (i literally teared up reading about his backstory!) and even his motivation for going to alderidge! you know this skeleton better than i do - the villain wholeheartedly belongs to you and i for one cannot wait to see how you break out hearts with him!

Victoria Quartz, otherwise known as Bunny is a 1st year at the Pomeneige dorm. She's your typical happy-go-lucky girl. Pararelling her sister, she is an optimist and a go with the flow kind of girl, she'd rather just agree with people and nod along to avoid conflict. She's well liked and is a social butterfly among her peers.

She excels in animal linguistics and animal care, you would often see her in the pomeneige taking care of it's many woodlin creatures

Gon make a more cleaner ver oc of that someday, but if we're talking about if she's in NRC then...

• Is very studious and reviews days before there are quizes and exams

• Still uses reviewers in order to quiz himself

• His notes can range from neat and readable to oh god did a chicken attack you while you were taking these?

• He has good memory but will sometimes just blank out at times. Though he still gets good grades

• Goes to class early and summons film in order to make video copies of the lectures in class. Though she rarely uses the video copies themselves. *cough* none of the teachers know *cough*

• She already has a side job tutoring clients of Azul so she doesn't really need to study all that often. Plus she already went through this once so she's familiar with everything already

• Her notes are very a e s t h e t i c and organized since it's one of her duties as a tutor to provide the clients with notes they can review after their sessions

• If she is having trouble with a certain topic she does study and review days before the exam/quiz

• It's not like she crams but if it's a fairly simple quiz she studies the night before, but with more difficult quizes she plans out the week in order to provide time for her to study them

• Has a study schedule everyday but sticks to it loosely. Though she still does study everyday out of force of habit which is why she gets high grades

• Brings audio recorders with her to class in order to record the audio of the lectures. She sells these on the side in order to make some extra money *cough* octavinelle and scarabia are her biggest clients *cough*

• Rarely takes notes since her audio recordings are there anyway. But if she does it's usually typed through a laptop

• But if she does write on her notebooks her handwriting is enough to make a grown man cry, it's very elegant and loopy. She rarely does this since typing in notes is much faster anyway

• Out of all my ocs she's the one most likely to cheat and get away with it
