Amago Haruhisa x Mōri Motonari

This ship is Hella underrated and deserves love. It's both intriguing and funny XD

Shame that Haruhisa's and Motonari's rivalry recieved the same treatment Motoharu's and Shikanosuke's rivalry recieved in Samurai Warriors 5 because believe it or not! Koei Tecmo took notes from Sengoku Basara with having Motonari fight Shikanosuke but have Motoharu who is designed as a sexy, hunky, strong guy like the historical figure but they don't have him fight Shikanosuke whose also in the game.

But overall, Haruhisa has been reminding me of Carlos Oliveira from the original resident evil nemesis. They're both flirty, sexy and funny as. XD

I was reading his dialogue when you have Motonari fight him, and my goodness, why does it sound like Haruhisa is flirting with him? XD

Man of Morals Sengoku Basara Samurai Heroes

This trophy would say is one of the harder ones simply because you have the usual impulse to kill everything that is on the screen. It requires you to kill less than 100 people overall in your playthrough. Having that already the challenge of that alone is a pain. I would use the 2p trick. Player 1 is Yoshitsugu, and Player 2 is Yoshihiro. Make sure you get Yoshihiro's third super art (unlocked at 50) that can one shot kill in the direct hit zone which is in front of you. It takes 10 seconds to actually pull it off. Use the hero time gauge full accessory when you use this. Go to Itsukushima go straight for the gate guard and take him out without killing peons then go straight for Motonari, don't stop for anything; minimum 2 kills. Next is Karasu Castle to Hideaki's position. As much as you want to pursue Tenkai, leave him be and KO the guard for the gate to Hideaki. One shot him after you get through and find an opening, then you turn off the hot pot by taking out 3 camps around bottom right and up respectively then one shot Hideaki again to finish; minimum for the stage is 5. Go to Gassantoda castle versus Haruhisa Amago. Use third super art once to knock his health very low the next you meet him he'll retreat, find straight him and finish him off; minimum 1 kill. Go to battle of Noshima, wait for the ship to arrive don't kill anybody, when it comes take out gate guard to kill tsuruhime she'll jump two more times just try to get next ship yours. She likes to dodge so its a pain to get a one hit KO on her. Take out camp that opens bridge to shrine ship where Tsuruhime is at. Use hero time and one hit KO her to finish the stage; minimum 3 kills. The path will end at Sekigahara Assembly. Run to Magoichi Saika and Tsuruhime again (both like to dodge alot). You can use your normal art combo to help finish them off if you like(trust me this is the only time I was thankful that Yoshihiro had the most linear normal arts ever) kill them both and Tadakatsu will appear but you put Yoshitsugu in beginning so he can distract it. Run straight to Ieyasu, one shot KO, and claim victory for the western army (Hideaki is there too but you can ignore him this time) minimum kills 3 for the stage. Total minimum is 14 giving you 86 handicap in case you mess up.

he’d been praying to gods more now than while the region was at war. visitors come and ignore the echoes of the turbulent era that the people of ransei had barely any time to settle from, into this new era of peace. gassantoda castle a shell of its former self, once a symbol of the amago clan’s rule of yosei —  where would he shelter now that all the blood’s been cleaned from the floor?  

“well look at that, you actually took your shoes off. and i find myself shocked. my bar is beyond low now, isn’t it?” 

visitors in the castle had become commonplace; they poke at things, gawk at what they considered an abnegating lifestyle, don’t take off their fucking shoes. though he supposed he should just accept the fact everyone would be tracking dirt into his home. 

but that was just it. the castle was not seen as his home, rather as another sight for tourists to see.

looking at this visitor, the first thought that entered haruhisa’s head was that his clothes looked uncomfortable. may arceus forbid anything that form - fitting and with that many buttons from ever catching on in ransei. 

“who else would i be talking to?” he snorted, gently stepping down from the steps. chiyo-ichiba followed, then bowed; ironically more welcoming than haruhisa. 

“were you looking to get a tour, or something?” or just stare into space?

not that he was in any mood, but he could probably get a retainer or even yoshihime to do it.

Sengoku Basara OC Mōri Okimoto

Motonari's older brother Okimoto.

I was ofc inspired by how Motonari is wearing a cheongsam in Sengoku Basara.

And ofc in my fanon Okimoto is quite charming and handsome looking but he's also a bit of a goody two shoes.

Motonari and Okimoto do share a deep bond with each other that two brothers would share, he wants to be like him but doesn't know how.

And in my fanon, Okimoto doesn't die he just goes missing and when Motonari is given news of Okimoto's disappearance, he just devasted beyond belief, and even went on hunger strike until his retainers found a trace of him but so far none. And ofc Miya aka Myokyu would grow very worried for her husband starving himself that she begged him to eat atleast something, but he still ate nothing. And it took for Miya to go on hunger strike and join her husband as she doesn't want Motonari to suffer all by himself but ofc this prompts Motonari to consume some food and he begs Miya not to do the same and apologizes to her for scaring her as it was wrong of him.

Okimoto on the other hand before his disappearance would keep watch over little Shōjumaru after their mother Lady Fukubara was killed by Lady Sugi-No-Okata.

Though Motonari and Okimoto would one day reunite, Motonari is full of emotions since he finally could breathe a bit better that he has his brother back, Okimoto would also be very protective of him, even wanting to protect him from Motochika, Harukata Sue, Yoshitaka Ouchi, Haruhisa Amago, Sōrin Otomo and ofc Xavi and ofc those who betrayed him.

     Two individuals, one in pink and one in violet, met at the border of Izumo province. These men carried similar titles: peerless, ruthless, ingenious -- all of them were words that described the perfect samurai general.

     Perhaps they were too alike.

     "General Sue." Shikanosuke grimaced and his rose-coloured eyes scanned the suspicious man in front of him. "Welcome to Izumo."

     Harukata smiled back. He dismounted his horse effortlessly and bowed deeply. "Thank you, General Yamanaka. For my presence to be accepted by none other than yourself, why, it is a great honour."

     Shikanosuke glowered down at the lowered head his enemy. He could easily behead him like this, he thought coldly. One swing of his sword and Harukata would be dead, but the youth let it slide. He took a moment to scrutinize the Ouchi general before urging his horse to circle the other. "Tell me why you met me here before I call this off and kill you."

     Harukata blinked, then he broke into laughter. "So very bold! Your loyalty is admirable, but please, there's no need for that." He opened his violet haori and patted himself down with his unnerving smile still fixed on his face. "See? I am unarmed. I believe you have your honour to uphold. Killing a helpless man seems a bit low for a hero Chugoku looks up to."

     "And 'helpless' is a bit unfitting for the unrelenting Harukata Sue," Shikanosuke said plainly, still skeptical of the other man.

     "Very well. Moving on, I have a proposition."

     Shikanosuke hissed, "You come to my province as my enemy and you have the nerve to --"

     "I wasn't finished." Harukata's voice was icy and commanding. The authority in it made Shikanosuke flinch away from another retort, but he was still annoyed by the attitude the older general had.

     "You are young," Harukata continued, unfazed. "And you are bursting with potential. Someday, you will grow to understand the choices I am making. We aren't that different, after all." 

     "Am I supposed to be repulsed or flattered?"

     "Take it as you wish." Harukata strode casually to his horse and reached for something in a bag. Shikanosuke tensed, but made no move when his enemy came back with a pouch bulging with coins.

     Shikanosuke paused. "What is this?"

     "My offering." Harukata put a finger to his lips, which curled into an off-putting sneer. "I am going to rebel against Yoshitaka Ouchi."

     "And you would buy my silence?" Shikanosuke dismounted his horse and kept one hand protectively at its side. He narrowed his eyes.

     "Yes and no. See, Yamanaka, you of all men are well aware that internal conflict can weaken a clan. Considerably. I am going to give you the perfect opportunity to destroy your enemies from within." Harukata motioned to the bag. "This is just in case you see little reasoning in my proposal. However, we are both logical, yes? I hope it isn't necessary."

     His words were like knives at Shikanosuke's throat. The Amago general seethed and his hand clenched around the hilt of his katana. "You're just as bold."

     "Thank you." Harukata took it as a compliment. He nodded, satisfied. "I will stage it so that your spies, whom are no doubt in Nagato, are the ones who started rumours that Yoshitaka Ouchi's drive for war is failing. He grows weak, and thus the people will be fearful."

     "I have a feeling those stem from the truth." Shikanosuke's hand didn't leave his weapon. "And you're making my spies say this because it'd be too quick if the rumours spread on their own."

     "Exactly."

     "Hmph. What else are you planning?"

     "Oh, those are my secrets." Harukata weighed the coins in his hand. "I'll stay out of your way as long as you agree to do the same. After this rebellion is done, of course. Then you may chase the Mouri to your heart's content."

     Shikanosuke rolled his eyes and turned to his horse. "A general so brutally plotting against his own daimyo… I'm sure you have your reasons. I don't want to know them. Go along with your rebellion."

     "Do you want the money?"

     "No."

     Harukata stepped in front of Shikanosuke's dark steed, preventing him from walking ahead. The Ouchi general shushed the startled horse and gently patted its nose. He turned serious. "What a shame. You and I both know that a weak daimyo makes a weak clan, and Haruhisa is… not the best candidate. Don't you need the extra help?"

     Shikanosuke shook with rage. He reared his horse back and unsheathed his katana in the blink of an eye, pointing it at Harukata's neck. "How dare you. Haruhisa Amago is not weak. He is strong, so strong in ways that you'll never understand!"

     Harukata tilted his chin up, wary of the steel pressing against his skin. Then, his smile dissipated and was replaced by an expression of disappointment. "... I was only trying to help."

     "I don't need the help of a general who would carelessly reveal his disloyalty. I'll stay out of your way as long as you never speak to me again." Shikanosuke pulled his blade back and slid it into its sheath. He turned his steed and galloped away, cursing himself for being so foolish as to accept a meeting with General Sue. He wanted something more out of it, but instead he went away with a sense of foreboding that made him feel physically ill.

     Harukata put the coins back in his bag and he swung onto his saddle. He watched the other samurai dash away with his bright carmine cloak billowing out behind him. He truly looked like the folk hero that everyone admired so much.

     The Ouchi general smirked and headed in the opposite direction. Just like all heroes, he was naive and blind to the truth.

     Maybe they weren't so alike after all.

Sugi-No-Okata

I have finally completed this piece of my interpretation of Mōri Motonari's step mother Sugi-No-Okata.

And ofc her design was inspired by the typical Disney villain look because Maleficent's and Queen Grimhilde's designs are very dramatic. 😌

And ofc parts of her story was inspired by Lady Guo Nuwang in The Three Kingdoms period and ofc with the way Basara portrays Motonari. 😈

Only though in my fanon, she never influenced him into worshipping the sun goddess and she never was a loving step mother, and she never influenced him in any shape or form.

Instead she is one of Motonari's worst enemies.

In my fanon, she is a concubine of the Amago clan and ofc Amago Tsunehisa's lover and ofc she is Haruhisa's paternal grandmother as he never loved Kikkawa Kunitsune's sister as the marriage like usual was arranged.

And with Tsunehisa's permission, Sugi slipped poison into her rival's tea only to desecrate her body after her death.

Sugi does help prevent the Amago clan from being converted to Xavism, and when Luís and Anjiro and a few others to storm Izumo, and ofc Luís isn't there to fight. He's there to help spread Xavism after the Amago is defeated but ofc they are driven out.

Luís however was taken prisoner but later managed to escape.

While he met Sugi, he was pretty horrified by her as she commited something that horrified him and when Luís escaped he told the story about was going on up there in Gossantoda castle.

And at some Xavist sermons, Luís would put out this motivational speech to Otomo troops, he mentions Sugi but he calls her "The Jezebel Within Gassantoda Castle Walls".

Sugi however knew about this but she wasn't offended, nor did she run away from that title, she embraced it.

As she was proud that she could instill intimidation and fear into any man she pleases.

Years later, Tsunehisa would task Sugi to bring forth the downfall of the Mōri clan and she quickly caught the attention of Mōri Hiromoto who was quickly bewitched by her charms, not even realizing that he was falling ill to alcohol poisoning.

As for her rival Lady Fukubara, Motonari's and Okimoto's biological mother. Hiromoto fancied Sugi so much that he began neglect his own wife to the point that she began writing letters to him asking him to come and visit her but to no avail.

Sugi began to tell lies about her and began creating tension between Hiromoto and Lady Fukubara and even planting seeds of suspicion in Hiromoto's head that both Okimoto and Shōjumaru were not his sons but rather Akagawa Motoyasu's sons despite how ridiculous these claims were.

Lady Fukubara later lost her husband's favor altogether, and without thinking he ordered for Sugi to dispose of his wife.

But due to his weakened state, he regains his senses and orders for the order to be retracted but it was already too late, as Lady Fukubara was already dead causing Hiromoto to feel immense regret, but he too would follow his wife a few years later.

For Shōjumaru though it would be hell as he knew Sugi was responsible for the death of his mother, and he was very afraid of his step mother.

And ofc Shōjumaru was very close with his mother as her death traumatized him throughout his childhood that he would try to find comfort in Lady Guifei who played the role of a wet nurse for him when Lady Fukubara had health issues after giving birth to her second son and ofc Miya's mother, Lady Takahashi.

As Hiromoto began to succumb to alcohol poisoning, Sugi wanted to makesure that after she had rid of Okimoto, that his younger brother would be weak and unable to succeed in life.

After Okimoto discovered a bruise on Shōjumaru's face, he would send him to live with visit Miya and her family just to keep him safe as Okimoto would become very protective of little Shōjumaru after discovering that it was Sugi who struck him across the head for reading a book.

And ofc Sugi had to figure out on how to get rid of Okimoto as he was taller than her and could easily overpower her.

And ofc she would use some kind of magic to weaken Okimoto's muscles and give him to Matsunaga Hisahide as a gift years later.

While Sugi is into refined men like Tsunehisa, she was flattered by Hisahide but he ofc saw her as nothing but someone who gave him a servant. Perhaps her blood lust was too much for him? Who knows.

Since my fanon has had a lot of changes, I am figuring out what my basara Okuni's relationship with my Sugi and what she thinks of her.

But for now before Okuni would spend time in Mikkawa, she would take notice of how whenever Sugi walked by him, as ofc Motonari was very suspicious and fearful of Sugi.

When Ieyasu and Masako would ask Okuni if Motonari is always what he seems to be, she replied "When lord brother, erm I mean Lord Motonari was in Oshikibata, he dreaded Otomo Sōrin's's influence in Kyushu and feared Amago Haruhisa's presence in Izumo sometimes on the border of Aki. Even in home territory he was afraid that Lady Sugi would cause trouble."

As ofc after Okimoto went missing, and Motonari became the new head of the Mōri clan after Kōmatsumaru also went missing causing Yuki to be horrified by both the disappearance of both her husband and son.

Sugi was also very disapproving of Motonari's relationship with Miya due to her lack of backing of status from her family the Kikkawa clan but only had this fake facade on as to pretending to keep what is right for him, but it was not enough to keep Motonari and Miya apart.

Sugi was ofc very angered about Motonari's success in defeating the Amago clan, but due to him putting Okuni in charge of Izumo, but because Okuni was in charge of Izumo, Sugi saw potential in Okuni as she was ofc biologically a member of the Amago clan as her mother was from there, but her father was low in terms of status, but to Sugi this didn't matter as Okuni could be what could bring back the Amago clan once her plans come to fruition.

Haruhisa struggles balancing his new responsibilities and his old habits. Fortunately, he isn't alone. His general, Shikanosuke, would do anything to save the Amago from extinction -- which means that he has to keep his daimyo focused.

In Nagato, Melody nervously sits down to observe a war council. She regards Motonari with wariness and, as night falls, the mysterious pirate makes his thoughts about her very clear. And it's quite unforgettable.
