Fun fact of the day:
Dúlamán is a type of edible seaweed in Ireland, as depicted in our logo! 🌿 Most people are familiar with seaweed's use in sushi, but it is a traditional ingredient in many island cultures! 🍙 It is also the name of a traditional Irish Folk song:
🎻Dúlamán na binne buí, dúlamán Gaelach Dúlamán na farraige, ‘s é b’fhearr a bhí in Éirinn 🎶 (Seaweed from the yellow cliff, Irish seaweed, Seaweed from the ocean, the best in all of Ireland)

Figured I never posted screenshots of my Baldur's Gate 3 ocs here, so here they are!
Linthelea (formerly Z'hren Veladorn), she/they, drow lore bard/life cleric and follower of Eilistraee. Raised in a temple but not quite a priestess, moonlight worshiper scarred by a holy weapon, running into the dark and away from divine heritage and the destruction of all they knew. 200 year old glassblower, tailor, poet, and historian going through yet another Interesting Times so guess they're gonna help people left and right and dance around battlefields jamming on a violin
Belnak Easgann, she/her, dragonborn wild magic sorcerer/archfey warlock, that feeling when some magic goddess dies, your homeland gets literally dropped onto another planet, and you get cursed with uncontrollable magic which you try to make a deal with an archfey to control so you can no longer be a threat to your clan and when you finally make it back to the material plane you get another thing forced inside you that makes you a danger to your people
Vyn, the Dark Urge, she/her, deep gnome enchantment wizard, definitely a well read wizard with entirely intact memories. Definitely. Who knows if the torn and bloodstained spellbook she woke up with is actually hers, or if her picking up spells at this rate is lost memories coming back or disturbingly impressive prodigal skill, but she'd much rather have her hollow brain filled with arcane equations and looking at ladies with swords than this siren song to bloodshed
Dulaman, she/her, dwarven water genasi druid, mad scientist field researcher, here to study strange natural and magical phenomena and rigorously test traditional druidic techniques and develop new ones in a changing world. And really, what is the difference between parasitism and mutualism but the balance of benefits across parties, so why not make use of these fascinating abilities? This will surely be fiiiine.

Okay I have brainrot and no time to write this as an actual fic so I'm putting this here so I can hopefully write it in the future:
PeaceMessage/SebAngelo fic where Sebastian is a Selkie in Ireland with his two fae brothers and Angelo is a rich man from across the seas who spots Sebastian when he goes for a night swim to help with the heat of mid-summer
Sebastian and Angelo fall in love through secret glances in town markets and on the beach, where Angelo sees Sebastian emerge from the sea foam, hiding his coat, only for some village boys to find it and steal it in hopes of marrying a selkie maid
Angelo gets the coat back from the teenagers after slight struggle and waits for Sebastian on the shore, and when he eventually comes in a panic because he can't find his coat, Angelo gives it to him without asking anything in return. Returning the coat is a marriage proposal amongst selkies, one that Angelo has indirectly said Sebastian does not have to accept, however, Sebastian wants to
Styx, on the other hand, really doesn't want his youngest brother to marry a human stranger who would take him from their home shores, so when Sebastian comes to their fae court to ask for his permission to marry, Angelo is pulled away by Quin, separating the couple
Styx and Sebastian begin a half trial half game where they have to state why he should be allowed to marry Angelo and why he shouldn't, but they must sing their answers to the tune of Sebastian's favourite song, Dulaman, which the rest of the court plays lively.
Styx says that while Angelo is stately and looks proper, he is poor in the ways the fae care, and Sebastian rebuttals that he can give Angelo all of the gifts of the sea, fine food and precious pearls. Styx then argues that Angelo is not their kind, specifically pointing out his blunt ears, as everyone else has pointed, and Sebastian argues that he is the best of his human family, noting how he offers him fine gifts with no want of anything back, unlike other humans. Styx's final argument is that none could replace Sebastian as a brother, as he is the finest young man in all of Ireland and it's seas, and that Angelo would steal him from their shores, to which Sebastian responds with "He goes with me, and I go with him, we will stray far from the fine seaweed". Styx cannot think of a response, which means Sebastian wins, Angelo is released and they have a little dance to the music before leaving the court to start their lives as not quiet human, not quiet fae
#Bruh I do not have time to write this#tragic#T-T#night shift podcast#night shift fics#sebangelo#sebastian fen#angelo volta#peacemessage nsp#this is entirely brought on by my feral need to watch the Song Of The Sea#and my longing to sing Dulaman around a fire with my friends

Dúlamán na farraige, be’fhear a bhí in Éirinn
It is the first artwork of a new serie based on each version of the traditional Irish song “Dúlaman“ that I heard so far... :-)
This one is kinda the continuity that precedent artwork and is inspired by Clannad’s cover [link]

Yeah yeah, Dúlamán the song, we've all heard it. But why did you choose it as your new blog name? Planning to abduct any daughters?
What are you a cop? Come back with a warrant
#no but the real reason is that ive liked that song for a long looong time#i think about 12 years#and i thought the word dulaman was a nice word and unique so i used it for my online aliases#whenever i made a new account for a game or whatever i would use it#and now its sorta just become my online name#also#when i first chose it as a name i didnt even know what the word meant#but it is so fitting that it means seaweed#since my ultimate goal in life is to run a giant kelp farm

We're thrilled to share a case study from
our upcoming presentation on animations that inspire
us—featuring The Amazing Digital Circus by
@glitch_prod and @gooseworxmusic ! 🎉🎈
Congratulations to the TADS team on your anniversary
and all the incredible milestones! Can you believe the
impact they've made in just a year? 😍✨
TADS was partially funded by Screen Australia, an
governmental board that supports artists by funding
innovative projects. Stories like this showcase how
vital national and international support is for creators,
allowing brand new, original ideas to shine—ideas that
might never see the light of day if funding only went
through commercial channels that favour “surefire hits.”
Just imagine if TADS hadn’t had that support—we might
never have had the joy of seeing it on our
screens!🌍✨
One unexpected and incredible side effect of TADS’
popularity? Renewed interest in animation history. Its
nods to Raggedy Ann and Andy: A Musical Adventure (
1977) brought attention back to this nearly forgotten
gem, now beautifully preserved thanks to
@TygerbugGarrett's (on X) careful restoration work.
🙌❤️
Success stories like TADS give us so much hope for the
future of animation, and we hope it brings you some
inspiration, too. Let’s keep celebrating the power of
original ideas and the heroes keeping animation history
alive! 🥂🚀
