my name is Ivory, and this is my tumblr blog, which I have had for 8 years! I've tried to tag all my posts and reblogs from 2020 forward; the others are in the past and should stay there lol

I am 21, and my main interests are autism (which I think about near 24/7) and animals (which I am studying in school). I am from the US

I am autistic (level 1) and ADHD (primarily inattentive)

that is the TDLR, now for the extended version...

Special interests:

Autism. Since being diagnosed in 2021, autism became my special interest, and I think about it nearly all the time. right now it is at, I would say, a fairly stable level of interest. Things I research right now include how higher support needs autistics experience the world, including AAC and discrimination.

xQc. I'm hesitant to include him here. I feel like this interest is almost 'in remission', which is almost certainly an inappropriate phrase here. xQc is a twitch streamer who streams a variety of games and reaction content. he streams for like 10+ hours per day, so he is an essentially never-ending source of content.

He is a very over the top personality, and exceptionally candid compared to other top streamers. Yet when he gives his opinions on things, even if I disagree with his conclusion or how he delivered it, I can always see where he's coming from.

I relate to his awkwardness, and he is very honest which I appreciate.

I also think it's fun to see how different his life is from mine, like he moves like 2x per year, and he buys all new furniture every time!

X was certainly a special interest last school year, but now as I go to in person school and work, I see a lot more people. Streaming is almost a stand-in for socialization, and now that I have in-person socialization, I'm not as interested in X's life.

Animals are another strong interest for me, although I don't know that it qualifies as a special interest, but maybe it does! I guess it's not a super technical term, so there aren't clear guidelines on that... anyway:

I love whales and all cetaceans! I know it is kinda controversial to like dolphins (they are sorta violent) but I like them. I also like beluga whales, these are the two I have stuffed animals of. But I love all whales!

I also like manatees and aardvarks, the reason I list them together is because they are 'closely' (not that close) related - they are both afrotherians, along with the elephant! I have actually seen a manatee in the wild :D

similar to the aardvark, is the anteater! I love the anteater and how the babies ride on the mother's back! it's so cute

speaking of babies on mothers' backs: the opossum! I love the opossum and I think they are so cute! The virginia opossum is the only marsupial in Canada and the US and so their pouches are so curious to me.

Snails!!! I can't believe I almost forgot! Snails are so cute and slow and my favorite invertebrate. I have a snail squishmallow who goes with me to school. I want to get snail pets in the near future.

He’s got a tough job, sure, but that doesn’t mean he won’t make time for you if business is running smoothly and no ant cops are on patrol.

Anteater just loves seeing you get flustered every chance he gets

His flirtatiousness is dialed up to 11 when he’s buzzed off of moonshine/rum on his days off. All smiles and just very lovey-dovey and cuddly in your presence.

At the end of the night he’d fall asleep in your lap. The Boss might give him an earful of complaints in the morning but tbh he doesn’t care.

Double dates with Spider Mobster and Light Bug???? Hell yeah.

Anteater likes impressing you with his strength and tough guy persona all the time.

However, you’ve seen it falter after his brawl with Cuphead, Mugman, and Chalice. As much as he tries hiding it, he feels embarrassed and awful, especially when he learns you saw it all go down.

At first he’s stubborn about telling you what’s wrong, but eventually admits his self-doubt to you while you’re treating his black eye.

If he couldn’t protect the distillery dough, what’s to say he couldn’t protect you or the mob from actual threats? Did you even feel safe with him anymore?

But you hold him and reassure him he’s the toughest guy in all of Inkwell. You loved him for more than just the brawns. You trusted him with all your heart.

His heart nearly explodes and he just cuddles with you for the rest of the day, his faith in himself restored <3

I know you've technically already done it, but try to give X7 actual ratings this time :P

Story: 6/10. The idea of Reploid technology advancing is good and it shows progression in the series. The plot itself is horribly exposed, with boring, slow cutscenes that say nothing important.

Graphics: 6/10. Ugly game, with blander colors than ShTH (now that's a feat), the bare minimum a PS2 can pull off. Shocking to see a 2003 game without any sort of animation, like baby's first 3D project.

Music: 7.5/10. It's fine! That's all I can say. It's very hard to hear the tracks in-game because the stages just assault you with all sorts of noises, but I could pick up favorites :) aside from what I listed here, Palace Road is pretty funky (memories... notwithstanding...), Relation sounds like X5 to me and that's a huge compliment, and Soul Asylum is surprisingly sinister for a surprisingly sinister twist on the tired boss rush.

Controls: 5/10. what is this. what is this shit. why am i moving at snail miles per hour.

Level design: 6/10. If we just visualize the levels on a map without considering camera or controls, only one of them reaches the levels of evil that characterize X6, and that's Flame Hyenard. The others... exist? There is really nothing wrong with them, but there is also nothing that makes them stand out aside from how much 3D there is. Some of them are even just straight lines, or have no idea how to put obstacles in a 3D place. Well, Snipe Anteator is kinda on a borderline level, I honestly don't know if it'd be less nauseating with a decent camera...

Camera: 2/10. Fuck you. And fuck you to all the people who spread the notion that Sonic games have a horrible camera. That is what you call bad? Y'all should play this game. The only reason that it's not a 0 is that at least it doesn't, i don't know, spin out of control.

Bosses: 3/10. Uninspired, irritating, and way, way too resilient.

Flame Hyenard: 0/10.

Subweapons: 4/10. They don't work, that's all I can say. The resilience of the bosses is made ten times worse by this.

Zero’s moves: 3/10. What did they do to you, my boy? What did they do??

Difficulty: 4/10. If the game actually worked like a real game, this game would be mindnumbingly easy, with the exception of a couple stages. The difficulty all comes from wrestling against your visuals, pushing your character forward, and mindlessly attacking the little foes in your way (thanks capcom usa for making my characters weaker :^)).

Replayability value: 1/10. No reason. None at all. I remember at least one reviewer saying that a new game+ is much more enjoyable than a normal playthrough, because you have X and he's much better than the other two... and he's right! But still no.

Voice acting: STOP IT/10

Ok but like in terms of designs, Gen V is my favourite generation of Pokémon.

Like, it has the most cool and/or cute designs of any generation.

Aww! Tepig was one of the first Gen V Pokémon I saw, and I loved it!

Initially, I kinda hated Emboar, but that was mainly because I only liked cute things (I was 10 at the time, don’t bother questioning my logic). Now it’s probably one of my favourite starter evolutions, especially for edits.

When my brother played Black and White, he went with Oshawott. To this day, he still says that Samurott is the best starter. I don’t disagree.

The enttire Solosis evolutionary line is great. It reminds me of Snom, which is my favourite Pokémon of all time.

Vanillite is nice. While I also like its evolutions, I don’t like them as much as Vanillite.

Most Pikaclones are adorable (I personally dislike Dedenne), and Emolga is no exception. Not to mention the fact that it was the start of Pikaclones being dual-type, which is much more interesting than just single-type.

Karrablast is cute because it’s angry. It looks like it would try to bite me if I picked it up, but it is too helpless to succeed.

Meanwhile, Excavalier looks very calm. The snail-like shell is cool since I like snails, and the lance-arms remind me of Beedrill.

Plus, the snaily knight is also a favourite! I want to pick it up, cuddle it and then calmly put it on the floor.

Foongus is basically just a Mario mushroom but with a mouth and a Pokéball-themed cap, and that’s why I like it! Also, I like mushrooms.

I want a real-life Joltik. It’s cute, and was the smallest Pokémon until Gen VI.

Meanwhile, Galvantula is cool and pointy and big and AAAAAAAAAAA I WANT ONE AS A MIGHTY STEED!!!

Ferrothorn originally looked like a UFO, but when X and Y came out its pose was changed to a tripod which, as a fan of classic sci-fi, I really like.

Tynamo’s family changes from “oh hey, it’s like a cute version of the Half-Life leeches with a sine-wave tattoo!” to “awww, that’s a cute eel-lamprey-thing!” to “OH GOD ITS EATING MY HEAD AAAAAAA” and still manages to look amazing in each stage.

As mentioned earlier, I like Sci-Fi, so of course I like the non-Legendary Alien Pokémon! Plus, their names are nifty puns; Elgyem for LGM (Little Green Man) and Beeheeyem for BEM (Bug-Eyed Monster)!

Litwick is cute, Lampent is cool and Chandelure is amazing. Plus, I have something interesting planned in regards to Litwick for my next Typescramble post...

If Tyranitar is Godzilla, then Haxorus is one of the other kaiju. I don’t know which one.

Cubchoo is cute and Beartic looks like it could rip off my face. In Sword, I actually have a Beartic called Elsa which I caught as a Cubchoo while on my way to Wyndon.

Golett and Golurk are nice. Just yesterday I caught a Golett and named it after the Zeno Clash 2 character Xotl, which it faintly resembles.

Braviary is the most American Pokémon, to the point that I actually named one of mine ‘Murica.

I like anteaters and I like flamethrowers, so of course I like Heatmor. It’s great!

Hydreigon is nice, especially the reference to its original design with the stripes on its stomach. Also, it’s a hydra, which I enjoy because I like classical mythology.

And lastly, Genesect. It’s a Jurassic Park Predator/Xenomorph! That’s, like, three classic Sci-Fi films (although I’ve only seen one of them so far, but hopefully that will change soon!).

Anon #1: It’s entirely up to the queen what prefixes get used! She won’t be scoffed at for using Lightning- and White- in the same litter or anything like that. A prefix sets a cat apart from its fellows, of course, but that prefix just has to describe the cat, nothing more. 

Anon #2: It’s considered poor taste to name a kitten after someone. The main reason being that, as said above, a prefix is meant to give a cat their own identity as well as describe their color. To name your kitten Pigeon- after your mother, for example, is seen as putting unfair expectations on them and bogging them down with someone else’s memories before they even have a chance to make some of their own. And a prefix will never be used more than once a generation, maybe even two generations, to avoid confusion! The closest you’d get is Pigeon- in Generation X, then a skip through Generation Y, then Pigeon- in Generation Z, most likely on a cat that isn’t related to the previous Pigeon-.

Anon #3: No comment, except that this idea did amuse me quite a bit.

Anon #4: The river goes downstream to the east, so bodies float away out of the territory and down the hill! There’s no real danger of dirtying the water, so to speak, because the cats make the bodies go away from their food source.
