Adil Hussain regrets acting in Kabir Singh; calls it “misogynistic” and “embarrassing”

Actor Adil Hussain has sparked fresh conversation around Shahid Kapoor's controversial film Kabir Singh, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. In a recent interview on the YouTube channel AP Podcast, Adil revealed his deep regret for being a part of the movie.

Thoughts on Arjun Reddy (the 2017 movie starring Vijay Deverakonda)?

I don't like that movie, I don't support it nor do I promote it.

I've had people ask me what I feel about it, and when I say it glorifies abusive relationships and toxic alpha masculinity, try and argue with me about how it's "rough love"

The guy gets the girl. In the end, the guy. Gets. The. Girl.

He probably gets to keep his job and keep up his stupid 2 yo whining-barking behaviour.

It is glorifying the relationship.

If the guy suffered consequences and the girl learnt to differentiate love from abuse, gaslighting and manipulation, I would have agreed that it's just portrayal and not glorification.

But the guy gets the girl? *Stamps* glorification.
