Page 3. ---- Search of City and Environs for Robbers Unsuccessful ---- CAR IS RECOVERED ---- Definitely Establish There Were Three Men in Bandit Gang ---- A thorough search of the city and environs by Montreal police and detectives had failed to reveal the whereabouts of the bandits who yesterday attempted to roll the Park avenue-Prince Arthur street branch of the Canadian Bank of Commerce up to noon today. 

The police and those familiar with criminal circles in the city are convinced that the attempted hold-up was the work of amateurs. An 'in and out man," say the police, referring to that class of criminal who enter a city, perpetrate a crime then hastily leave for other parts until the search has grown less warm. 

A round-up of all suspicious characters was made last night by Sergeant Archambault of the headquarters staff in an endeavor to get some information on the case a number of suspects were taken to the various police stations and charged with loitering by night but no results were obtained. 

RESORT IS RAIDED. Chief of Police Belanger had a raid conducted on a notorious resort on St. Lawrence Blvd., where he had been told there were a number of men who always carried concealed weapons. The place was raided. None of the thirty-five men found there were armed. 

The number of the car stolen yesterday has been supplied to every police constable in Montreal and outlying districts. At 11:30 p.m. Constable Bisaillon of No. 17 station, found the car abandoned on Emelie street between Atwater and Greene avenue. The gasoline in the tank had been used up but otherwise the machine had not been damaged. 

When the lone bandit ran out of the bank on Park avenue, following the exchange of shots with J. H. Carnegie, manager; he still carried the smoking revolver in his hand. On the sidewalk was found a used cartridge, which was handed over to Captain Kavanaugh of No. 5 station, who in turn sent It to detective headquarters. The cartridge was found to fit a thirty-two calibre automatic revolver. 

Chief of Detectives Lepage said this morning that his men were busily engaged on the case and were leaving no stone unturned to get trace of the desperadoes. That there were three men in the deal, the one who entered the bank and two others who waited outside in the motor car has been definitely established.

It's been a hot minute since I looked at Canada's National Occupation Classification system. I learned about it when studying career counselling in grad school, and it's pretty useful in terms of job-hunting and getting information on what different types of jobs require and pay.

A friend asked me for advice about becoming a therapist so I went and looked. They redid it since I last visited, and oh man there are some chef's kiss decisions.

There are 9 top-level categories, with 1 being legislative and senior management, 5 being arts, culture, and sport, and 9 being manufacture and utilities. So I was looking for my old job's classification, which used to be 4153 - Family, marriage and other related counsellors. Knowing that made searching the government job bank really easy back in the day, because instead of searching "counsellor" "counselor" "psychotherapist" "mental health therapist" "clinical counsellor" etc etc etc to find them all, I just typed "4153" and hit enter.

Anyway, they redid the system and now that job is parked at 41301 - Therapists in counselling and related specialized therapies. Here's the tree to get there:

Cool cool cool. It's tidier, even if the occupations are still a bit messy. (When I dropped out of the field, the different counselling subdivisions were tapping their toes impatiently waiting for the provincial government to let them form their own professional regulatory college. Which still has not happened. Last week my shrink said he'd got an email from the College of Psychologists announcing that it would be gathering all the smaller counselling fields into its own downy breast instead. I have no idea what's happening anymore.)

I need more content of Varian being a farm boy. By that I don't only mean wholesome content of him on his dads farm, no, I also mean that farm kids are a bit stronger usually. Not to mention all the heavy machinery he builds and moves around???

Iran had legal right to counter-attack Israel in self-defense

Israel attacked Iran's embassy in Syria on April 1, in a blatant act of war. Iran had a legal right to respond in self-defense, according to article 51 of the UN Charter, which is exactly what it did by launching missiles and drone strikes on April 13. But Western governments are absurdly portraying Tehran as the aggressor.

P.S. This Ukrainian-made howitzer shoots far and accurately.
