We are proud to announce our participation in ArtVerona 17^ edizione 14-16 ottobre 2022 as a part of Pages section, curated by Ginevra Bria.

Pages section comes forward in a new international guise by inviting top sector magazines to present their history, the role of criticism and information. Pages proposes a dialogue between six Italian artists and six European publishers:

Genres: Indie Pop, Jangle Pop, Bedroom Pop 10 out of 2,375 voters have listened to them. (0.4%)

Self-described as such: "Bedroom songs from the Netherlands. Feel-good sunny energy, jangly indie pop and the breezy energy of pop-punk." Their website (in Dutch) says they're influenced by artists such as Bombay Bicycle Club, Darwin Deez, Little Comets, and The Wombats. Released one EP in 2017 and seems to have been inactive since, but two members went on to form the band Banji.

Clay J Gladstone

Genres: Pop Punk, Punk Rock 12 out of 2,495 voters have listened to them. (0.5%)

Australian. "Emo punk outfit Clay J Gladstone was formed in 2020, comprised of current and former members of powerhouses Resist the Thought, Caulfield, and Buried in Verona." Released one album and some singles in 2021-2022, but they're still active and playing shows! Apparently one of their guitarists got his equipment stolen recently but they were able to fundraise enough money to replace it so yay :)

Radiation 4

Genres: Avant-Garde Metal, Mathcore 10 out of 2,314 voters have listened to them. (0.4%)

Los Angeles-based experimental metal band that dressed in lab coats and glasses for their live performances. Their MySpace listed their influences as "Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Tom Waits, Mr Bungle, Botch..the list goes on." (IMO, the vocals especially are VERY Mike Patton-ish.) Released an EP in 2001 and an album in 2003, then went on hiatus in 2007 (though the vocalist uploaded some of their stuff to Bandcamp in 2022-2023?) Here's a fairly recent interview with the vocalist.

Bandcamp Here are unofficial YouTube uploads of Radiation 4 (2001 EP) and Wonderland (2003 album), which aren't on the Bandcamp, or anywhere else that I can find. ...Also, I finally found a copy of the album art for Wonderland that isn't JPEG'd into oblivion.

Self-proclaimed "Glaswegian pop-punk samba legends" (they aren't really samba though...) previously known as We Hung Your Leader. According to their old website, their influences included Jimmy Eat World, Alexisonfire, Brand New, and The Get Up Kids. Released two "mini-albums" between 2010 and 2011, and ceased posting on social media around 2017. 2022 was an eventful and challenging year in many ways:

-B and I struggled to find our groove as a married couple and committed to breaking our negative cycles and patterns together.

-We celebrated my dad’s 70th birthday (69 but 70 according to the Chinese calendar)

-I went roller skating with my nieces

-We hosted and celebrated LNY with yummy food and roasted marshmallows in the backyard.

-We went to an immersive art exhibit.

-I hung with my sister friends: painted with Lily and Catherine, visited Leslie, Nicole and Maya.

-Brent took me to see Justin Bieber and Jaden Smith for my belated birthday.

-celebrated Lily’s birthday with an escape room and brunch

-took my parents to the Ruth Bancroft Botanical Garden

-hosted my parents for lots of visits and meals

-picnicked by Lake Merritt with coworker friends

-had a board game day with the Lambs

-hosted Megan’s baby shower in SD with Diana

-volunteered to pack meals for Ukraine

-traveled to Cancun to celebrate Michael and Edison’s wedding and love with the UCSD fam

-road-tripped to visit Jordan and Nicole (and Maya and the pets!) in Sac

-celebrated Andrew and Bryce’s wedding in LA

-caught up with LA friends/fam: Andrew and Kyle and Garrett

-had a bbq girls date with my sister and nieces

-went to the AAPI Community Festival with Catherine and met the directors of Turning Red

-hosted the first in-person orientation and social events since the pandemic

-supported Aunt Carole’s garden club plant sale

-celebrated Jiten and Preeti’s wedding with UCSD residents and friends

-celebrated Fourth of July with Andrew, Kyle, Adrienne, Chris, and Brent - lots of wine and kbbq of course

-traveled to the Middle East for the first time, and explored Jordan and Israel (Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa)

-explored Wadi Rum and Petra

-launched a new program in Haifa, Israel - a project that I started years ago

-celebrated Bobby and Perry’s colorful Toshiba themed wedding in Monterey

-celebrated our one year wedding anniversary!

-celebrated Brent’s birthday in SF with the stranger things experience and a seafood dinner

-danced the night away at the Backstreet Boys concert

-relived my youth at a throwback concert with Nelly, Ja Rule, Ashanti, and Lloyd

-volunteered to host Comedy Night for Cal freshman - for the first time since the pandemic

2023 summary huh........

ill try to do this chronologically so in february i had my birthday at a shooting range it was fun, guns are great.

in april i kinda renewed my old friendship and we went out to explore the woods where we also found a cool abandoned camp of some sort. around this time i was especially fascinated by ted k.

in june i went to the krzyztopor castle and a neolithic settlement where i met a MAGNIFICENT MAJESTIC STUNNING FALCONER. i held his bird (though i wish it was the other 'bird' lol). the same month i also went to a medieval festival in raciborz which had a loooot of hot men too. tall, strong, long hair AND in a medieval armor and with a sword???? fuuck.

in july i was on holidays in northern italy. milan - great museums, amazing cathedral, art everywhere truly beautiful. one day we went to pisa and the leaning tower is something i never thought id see in real life. going up these stairs was actually exciting and the view was great too. we had a lot of fun taking pictures!!! we also visited christopher columbus house in genoa and took pictures with juliet in verona.

in july i also went to my first concert - MEGADETH & KREATOR!!! loved it all

in august my best friend and i went to metal mine festival and i guess i can say it was the best thing this year. HOEST WAVED TO ME?!?!

that summer would have been perfect if my beloved rat hadnt died. i miss her. just looking at her always made my days better.

in september i went to a military show in ostrava and almost died from dehydration and heat 🤣

in november i finally managed to finish assassins creed odyssey (started in march 2022) with its both dlcs. origins was better.

and lastly december. went on a school trip to wroclaw and it was surprisingly good and i had a great time with my friends.

so thats it. i can honestly say it was a good year, i didnt give in to the depressing slideshows on tiktok this time. i will be trying my best to keep this up in 2024 and maybe make it even better?!

Olimpiadi 2026, esercitato recesso per la gestione dell'extra lirica in Arena. L'Arena di Verona è chiamata ad ospitare nel 2026 due cerimonie sportive di portata internazionale. Per l'occasione sono resi disponibili venti milioni di euro di finanziamenti destinati a interventi di riqualificazione dell'anfiteatro per rendere il monumento idoneo per l'occasione. Un'operazione che parte nel 2019, quando l'amministrazione comunale in carica presenta la candidatura della Città di Verona per ospitare le cerimonie dei Giochi Olimpici e Paralimpici Invernali Milano Cortina 2026. Fra gli impegni irrevocabili assunti dall'amministrazione nei confronti dei Comitati Olimpico e Paralimpico Internazionali, c'è in particolare quello di mettere a disposizione dello stesso Comitato, in via esclusiva, nei mesi di febbraio e marzo 2026, l'anfiteatro, che dovrà essere già stato adeguatamente riqualificato secondo precisi criteri da definire con il Comitati Olimpico e Paralimpico Internazionali e la Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio, dietro approvazione della Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri. Un'occasione unica per Verona di portata mediatica eccezionale, ma anche un impegno particolarmente arduo per il Comune e per la Società Infrastrutture Milano Cortina 2026 Spa, soggetto attuatore del miglioramento dell'accessibilità dell'anfiteatro, che devono garantire l'esecuzione dei lavori entro e non oltre il 2025. Si tratta, come evidente, di interventi particolarmente delicati, che dovranno riqualificare totalmente il monumento più iconico della città nel mondo, nel rispetto del valore storico, architettonico e artistico, sulla base di precise indicazioni della Soprintendenza. Oltre all'impegno stringente assunto nei confronti dei Comitati Olimpico e Paralimpico Internazionali, si aggiunge la necessità di investire altri 2 milioni di Art Bonus per ultimare i lavori di conservazione, valorizzazione e fruizione del monumento cittadino, da realizzare entro e non oltre marzo 2025. Da qui nasce l'esigenza di governare l'utilizzo dell'anfiteatro nelle stagioni 2024 e 2025 al fine di consentire l'esecuzione degli interventi salvaguardando la stagione lirica e sinfonica, già programmata da Fondazione Arena. Per questo motivo la Giunta Comunale ha deliberato oggi di recedere dalla possibilità concessa a Fondazione Arena di organizzare eventi extra lirica, esercitando una facoltà espressamente prevista dall'accordo stipulato nel 2013 tra il Ministero per i beni e le attività culturali, Fondazione Arena di Verona e il Comune per l'uso degli spazi e dal contratto di concessione dell'Anfiteatro sottoscritto nell'anno 2022 fra il Comune di Verona e la stessa Fondazione. Qualora, una volta programmati i lavori di riqualificazione da parte della Società Infrastrutture Milano Cortina 2016 Spa, si aprissero delle finestre temporali anche per eventi extra lirica, il Comune valuterà, anche con Fondazione, se e come gestire tali disponibilità. Mille Miglia 2023

L’attesa è quasi finita per la Mille Miglia, la corsa più bella del mondo riservata ad auto storiche con partenza da Brescia, la città della Leonessa. Nata nel 1927, dopo una serie di edizioni da leggenda e un lungo periodo di stop, la Freccia Rossa, come è nota fra gli appassionati, fece il suo ritorno in calendario nel 1987, quando fu vinta da Alessandro Nannini, unico pilota professionista presente nell’albo d’oro. Sono cinque le tappe della corsa per l’edizione 2023, ricca di sorprese e novità per tutti gli appassionati. La partenza è prevista nella mattina di martedì 13 giugno con la bandiera a scacchi che verrà calata in viale Venezia a Brescia, poi le vetture costeggeranno il lago di Garda per toccare successivamente città ricche di storia ed arte come Verona, Ferrara, Lugo e Imola, fino al traguardo di Cervia - Milano Marittima. Nella seconda frazione, che si terrà mercoledì 14 giugno, il grande corteo si dirigerà su Roma, il punto più a sud del percorso, poi transiteranno da San Marino, Senigallia, Macerata, Fermo e Ascoli Piceno, con da qui un  taglio verso il Lazio e la sfilata finale prevista all’arrivo  in via Veneto a Roma. Giovedì 15 giugno gli equipaggi partiranno da Roma verso la Toscana e, dopo il pranzo in gara a Siena, si proseguirà verso Pistoia per scollinare il passo dell’Abetone ed entrare poi in Emilia Romagna, toccando Modena e Reggio Emilia fino al traguardo di Parma. Si rientrerà poi in Lombardia venerdì 16 giugno, giorno della quarta tappa dove il gruppo, partito da Parma, si dirigerà verso Stradella e Pavia e da qui in Piemonte con i passaggi ad Alessandria per il pranzo, Asti e Vercelli. L’ultimo tratto vedrà  il ritorno in Lombardia e l’arrivo, da Novara, in centro a Milano,  che ospiterà l’ultima notte di gara. Sabato 17 giugno il gran finale vedrà il saluto a Bergamo, città Capitale della cultura 2023 assieme a Brescia, e i passaggi in Franciacorta, ad Ospitaletto e Gussago, con l’arrivo  a Brescia e il circuito cittadino prima della passerella sulla pedana di viale Venezia e del pranzo di chiusura. Il vernissage finale si terrà in serata con la notte bianca della Freccia Rossa, la 1000 miglia the Night che concluderà la settimana. Saranno 405 gli equipaggi ammessi alla manifestazione che daranno la caccia alla coppia formata da Andrea Vesco e Fabio Salvinelli, vincitori delle ultime due edizioni, nel 2021 e nel 2022, a bordo della Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 SS Zagato, immatricolata nel 1929. Inoltre quest’anno la Mille Miglia festeggerà i 100 anni dalla fondazione dell’Aeronautica militare, toccando luoghi simbolo della forza armata alata, che sono gli aeroporti di Ghedi, Cervia Pisignano e Piacenza San Damiano, della chiesa della Patrona dell’Arma a Loreto, del Museo di Vigna di Valle a Bracciano e del Palazzo dell’Aeronautica in piazza Novelli.  Matteo Poletti, in arte Matteo E Io, nasce il 22 dicembre del 1993 a Verona. La passione per la scrittura di brani inediti da lui composti lo proietterà già all’età di 15 anni a confermarsi come cantautore scrivendo il suo primo album che sarà, dopo un breve periodo, arrangiato e prodotto insieme alla band da lui stesso formata chiamata “United Ways”. Successivamente, dopo alcuni cambi di formazione nel corso degli anni, tra il 2019 ed il 2020 saranno pubblicati quattro nuovi singoli tra qui “Quasi Alla Fine” che permetterà alla band di toccare per la prima volta classifiche, giornali e radio su scala nazionale. Il 26 novembre 2021 esce il suo primo singolo da solista “Le luci dei taxi” e il 18 febbraio 2022 esce “Cuspide”, brano che entra in generazione z e ci rimane per otto settimane.

Thom’s colleague (sort of. They’re in different departments) and romantic partner. He’s not a graduate of the Academy, which may be a factor in why he hadn’t been promoted during the 5 years he’s been employed there. He’s frustrated at times by the difference in treatment between Thom and himself, but knows more than most just how much pressure Thom is under.

Often baffled by <blank>’s insistence on attending his workshops despite its lack of functional taste buds.

Fun fact: if/when they decide to get hitched, Thom insists on taking his family name (annoyed at tabloids just assuming that Matthias would take his surname, since he’s the more famous one); Matthias calmly points out the existence of hyphenated surnames, if only to avoid another round of Lovelace sibling miscommunication.

Gli spettacoli del Festival sono presentati dal Gran Cerimoniere il Principe Maurice. Al “Padrone di Casa”, il compositore Antonio Salieri, verrà dedicato il quadro di apertura curato da Elena Grossule, con le sue musiche e i ballerini Elisa Cipriani e Luca Condello dell’Arena di Verona, le giovani promesse della danza di Legnago Sara Azzolini e Giulia Gasparini, e le acrobate della Scuola Airone di Mantova. L’International Salieri Circus Award, promosso dall’Associazione Nazionale Sviluppo Arti Circensi (Ansac), con la produzione esecutiva di Proeventi e il sostegno del Ministero della Cultura e del Comune di Legnago, sarà in scena tutte le sere fino a lunedi 26 settembre, con spettacoli pomeridiani anche sabato e domenica (info: saliericircus.it).

Venerdi 23 settembre andrà in scena il secondo spettacolo di selezione con un programma totalmente differente. TALK SHOW - DIALOGHI ACROBATICI Sempre giovedi 22 settembre sulla Terrazza del Teatro Salieri sono iniziati anche i talk show “Dialoghi acrobatici” condotti dal giornalista e scrittore Roberto Bianchin con la complicità di artisti, ambulanti e girovaghi. Il primo dei 4 incontri avrà come titolo “La scommessa del Salieri” e vedrà come ospite il Direttore Artistico del Festival Antonio Giarola. Con lui anche alcuni artisti come Chia Cheng Sung, il Duo Resiliencia, Arthur Cadre, Pedro Santos e Alexandra che racconteranno i loro inizi e la loro carriera. RO'HARA: arriva "Sa di te"

Dal 16 settembre 2022 sarà disponibile in rotazione radiofonica e su tutte le piattaforme di streaming "Sa di te" (LaPOP), il nuovo singolo di Ro'Hara.

"Sa di te" è un brano intenso ed emozionante, dal sound americano, che si ispira ad artisti come Adele, Harry Styles e Lady Gaga e racconta del dolore e del tormento che si provano quando finisce una storia d'amore. I ricordi bruciano dentro di noi e tutto ciò che ci circonda ha improvvisamente il sapore di quella persona che per giorni, mesi o anni ha aggiunto valore alla nostra vita.

Una ballad interamente scritta dall'artista, prodotta da Cristiano Norbedo con le chitarre di Loris Venier, che si differenzia dal precedente singolo "Shalla" ma che rimane fedele a quella che è la sua anima pop soul.  

Ro'Hara ha voluto espressamente collocare all'interno dell'Ep, un brano composto da solo piano, chitarra ed archi per creare un momento di semplicità e versatilità.

Spiega l'artista a proposito del brano: «Scrivere "Sa di te" è stata una bella sfida con me stessa perché ho messo in gioco la parte più fragile di me. In poche ore è nato il brano. Ho pensato fosse il segnale chiaro che questa canzone dovesse a tutti i costi far parte del progetto. Inoltre, ho deciso di ascoltarmi ed andare contro ciò che oggi viene considerato "funzionante" e cercare di dimostrare che la musica ha mille sfaccettature, ma soprattutto che c'è bisogno di semplicità».

Biografia

Rossella Prignano, in arte Ro'Hara nasce a Verona il 2 dicembre 1992. All'età di dieci anni si trasferisce con la sua famiglia a Gorizia. È la più piccola di tre sorelle. Fin da bambina è molto curiosa e passa la maggior parte del suo tempo libero ascoltando più musica possibile e cercando di imparare a cantare, imitando i musicisti famosi dell'epoca. Viene notata dalla Direttrice del coro della Chiesa che insiste ad iscriverla in una scuola di canto. Da quel momento Ro'Hara non ha mai abbandonato la musica. Nel 2015 si diploma presso la "Bernstein School of Musical Theatre" di Bologna. La sua esigenza è quella di scrivere e cantare le proprie canzoni, ricevendo, per questi, diversi riscontri artistici durante gli anni, tra i quali: miglior testo inedito al "Premio Casa della Musica" con direttore artistico Andrea Rigonat, vincitrice del "Talent vocal Selection" con Mara Maionchi ed Antonio Vandoni, due volte finalista al "Tour Music Fest", sempre nella sezione cantautori, è successivamente tra i vincitori di "A Voice for music" con Loretta Martinez e Enzo Campagnoli ed infine è tra i finalisti di "Musicultura 2020". Dal 2020 ad oggi ha deciso di rimanere in silenzio per dedicarsi al suo nuovo Ep che a breve avremo modo di ascoltare su tutte le piattaforme. Un progetto interamente Pop, nato da due anni di ricerca interiore e musicale e di cambiamento per questa nuova artista emergente.

Dopo "Shalla", venerdì 16 settembre 2022 esce in radio e in digitale "Sa di te", il secondo singolo di Ro'Hara.
