Caius is closer to his mother than he is to anyone else. After he goes to be with Solas in the Fade, he frequently visits her in dreams, and probably outside of them whenever he gets the chance.

Qunari are rare among the MW and Manfred likes riding on Asaaranda's shoulders. Asa's happy to oblige him.

Doing a concurrent Mourn Watcher playthrough so I can romance Emmrich. His name's Asaaranda (thunderstorm), he's a large gentle cinnamon bun, and he secretly dreams of knocking Taash off a cliff.

I've been so devastatingly into dragon age lately so here's some screenshots of my canon characters and some doodles of them as well as a bit of lore!

First up is my warden elf, Lúthien Aril, he's a healer/support type of mage and a little timid, on the younger side but eager to help the world. He tries his best to always be optimistic and helpful even even it weighs on him though he tries not to show that. (Also his in game screenshot has tattoos on his face, ignore those it's not canon to his design I just liked how it looked).

Next is Grayson Hawke, my dragon age 2 boy, he's a sarcastic ass mage and a flirt, a bit of an ass at times but he cares deeply for his friends and family, he also loves anders ;). The death of his sister and mother weighed heavily on him and for a period of time he was more of an angry person than his usual laid back self. He's good friends with Varric and Isabella.

Then there's my Inquisitor, Asaaranda Adaar, he's a stern but caring qunari (tal-vashoth) mage, he specializes in storm magic, he's in love with Iron bull and his best friend is Solas. Asaaranda was born to lead, he knows how to make hard decisions and to deal with the consequences after, however heavy they may be. He didn't want the position of inquisitor at first but he grew into it and eventually fit it like a glove.

Finally, my dragon age veilguard oc, Lysander (I haven't figured a last name for him yet). He's a shadow dragon and a dalish elf from the outskirts of Tevinter. He's a former slave. He's a bit reckless, rash, and kind of rude. He used to be far more closed off and aggressive until he met Varric and spent time learning from him (Varric is like a dad to him). I haven't played a whole lot of veilguard yet so I'm still figuring things out for him but I'm thinking Emmrich will be his partner (I fucking love Emmrich)

My Rook's a pretty capable cook! Mama Mercar was adamant that she wasn't going to be raising any useless boys, and so all her sons know how to cook and clean. He's pretty handy at making baked chicken, stuffed dates, pasta.

(Asaaranda, meanwhile, is a wonderful cook and an extremely talented baker. Emmrich gets extremely upset if you try to tease him by saying he only married Asaa for his nut torte.)

Question for other peoples rooks (Reblog with responses would love to read about others rooks) How do you think *your* rook's cooking is? How often are they in the cooking location or are they forbidden from the kitchen? If they do cook what foods do they usually make (putting mine under the cut)

Altier Mecar - Nothing fancy learned to cook spending a lot of time at home, as was sheltered from going out much, so mom's kitchen helper who can reach all the high shelves. Lots of comfort foods/cheesy foods. When he transitioned/working out more to get comfortable in his body lots of meaty/high protein things. So cooks that out of habit In the regular rotation, and neve likes having the comfort food. He does try to learn from Bellara to make some of Davrin's nostalgic foods too Oswin Thorne - Got pulled into rotation, and most of his food is 'what i can kill and cook, rations, and gruel. (He also willingly eats harding's food 'it sure tastes more then I can say about gruel) 'He doesn't cook unless it's last resort, but does make some good roast boar out in the field' Nyxie De Riva - 'you mix a *minor* poison into food once, because you're using stuff you brought from house De Riva and *no one* lets you cook again'. "Also ignore the time I tried to use veilfire to make rotisserie chicken' "I think lighting is a valid form of heating, you all are just behind the curve, emmrich has skeletons help cook!!! Magic is a tool' Removed from the kitchen forever Jackdaw Ingellvar - They cook alright! Mostly vegetarian dishes (He's mainly pescatarian personally so will eat fish). The main issue is they tend to cook thinks with an 'acquired taste' Or things from *very old* cook books they've found (see jello salad type foods or things with insect meal)

Kinda a 'eh we'll *try* but Lucanis please have a backup , very hit and miss some's a crowd fave others 'well i tried'

Finally finished this!

Decided to take it upon myself to draw my Rooks with Lucanis in his cut romance scenes. This is the first of the collection.

Adaar is SO fucking good as a plot piece and SO FUCKING GOOD VISUALLY AUGH

The Inquisitor™ Title is all about IMPACT and what has more IMPACT than a GIANT WITH HORNS

Not to mention being a Qunari in a region that doesn't know like, anything about them, except that they're scary, slots in very nicely with all the fear and aggression you get from people early game. It adds a nice little touch of desperate denial to all the doubters. It gets a Fantastic reaction from Bull. It adds a LOT of heft to all your victories AND makes closing rifts look effortless. The cinematic end to Here Lies The Abyss, where the Inquisitor steps out of the rift and closes it, looks fucking STUNNING with an Adaar.

And the best part is?

my blog username + title come from qunlat, a fictional language from the dragon age universe. 'aqun-athlok' means "born as one gender but lives as another."
