Bitter Reunions Au/Thoughts
Stars above, does thinking about this give me fun ideas! Ah, I need an au name. Two ghosts and a dragon? Astrotech dragon? I like that one.
Jack canonically mentions to the kids he hopes Vlad has forgiven him, which means he knows Vlad blames him. So, what if there’s some elaboration in that he refused to let them visit during his hospital stay, only receiving letters, and they respected that. They sent him an invitation to their wedding, and he decided to never speak to them again out of his Vlad brand rage.
Electric vampire Vlady senses a spirit nearby but can’t find them and decides it’s best left for a later investigation. A fun lead up to a fun reveal.
“What are you doing in my castle?”
“Hate to break it to you but this castle belongs to Vlad Masters. Ya know it’s considered rude to menace someone’s guests.”
Vlad rolls his eyes and transforms with a dramatic, “foolish spirit, I a Vlad Masters. Now-“
Danny transforms in shock and Vlad.exe stops working for a second. They do the spider-man meme. It’s fucking wild.
Eventually getting their bearings, Vlad invites Danny into a room for a talk. He spins a tale about the vultures while a duplicate handles them. Danny mentions the portal, and Vlad tells him they should talk about it in the morning.
Vlad is absolutely livid at what Jack and Maddie have done, but he’s not alone anymore. So, he makes a new plan! After all, considering Jack’s ectoplasm exposure and emotional drive, he’d come back as a ghost anyway. Why not just humiliate him instead? A ghostly smear campaign while Vlad does his best to be the best godfather there is and possibly get into Maddie’s good graces that way.
Meanwhile Harriet Chin takes the opportunity to ask her old friends if she can interview them at their lab later. She heard in the news grapevine about the Fentons making some wildly amazing technology featured in Women’s Science magazine. They agree of course, and we set that lovely plot bunny down for later.

While a NASA probe heads for an asteroid known as Psyche, telescopes have been probing it to prepare for the arrival. Data from the James Webb Space Telescope has found something quite unexpected on the surface – hydrated molecules and maybe even water! The origin of the water is cause for much speculation, maybe it came from under the surface or from chemical interactions with the solar wind! Asteroid Psyche was discovered in 1852 by the Italian astronomer Annibale de Gasparis. It was named after the Greek goddess of the soul who was born mortal and married Eros. It measures 225 km across and is one of the most massive objects in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Most of the asteroids in the belt are composed of rock and ice but Psyche seems to be different being largely composed of metals, perhaps the exposed core of a protoplanet that lost its outer layers. Psyche is of immense interest to study because it provides an opportunity to study planetary cores which are usually inaccessible. Illustration of the metallic asteroid Psyche. Credit: Peter Rubin/NASA/JPL-Caltech/ASU Aptly named Psyche, the probe launched by NASA has already started its 3.5 billion km journey to the asteroid, due to arrive in August 2029. With its solar panels deployed, the probe measures 25 metres by 7.3 metres, about the size of a tennis court. It has a mass of 2,747 kg and is powered by five solar panel arrays. Once arrived at Psyche they can generate about 3 kilowatts of power. While the probe is enroute, telescopes on Earth and in space have been exploring Psyche. Observations in different wavelengths of light have provided information that will aid and support the data collected by the Psyche spacecraft. The study was led by Dr. Stephanie Jarmak from the Southwest Research Institute and it was their observations that confirmed the hydroxyl molecules on the surface. Image of NASA engineers preparing the Psyche spacecraft for launch within a clean room at the Astrotech Space Operations Facility located near the NASA Kennedy Space Center. Psyche is scheduled to launch in October 2023 on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket from historic Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy. (Credit: NASA/Ben Smegelsky) The data, which was collected using the James Webb Space Telescope revealed the telltale signs of hydroxyl but stopped short of explaining where they came from. There are two possible explanations and we can look to the origin of asteroids to understand them. They are the leftovers from the formation of planets and their make up is determined by the location in the solar nebula from which they formed. If the hydroxyl formed locally without interference from external process then it might suggest that Psyche is not a planetary core remnant. It might be that Psyche simply formed at a distance that volatile compounds like water condense to form solids like ice before migrating. An alternative model explains the variability of the molecule distribution across the surface. This might indicate that impacts from carbonaceous chondrites (like the meteorites often found on Earth) could have provided the water molecules that have been observed. It seems that for now, we will have to wait until the arrival of the Psyche spacecraft in 2029 to unravel the mystery. If we can get a better understanding of the origin of the asteroid Psyche it will help us to learn more about the distribution of elements in the nebula that the planets formed from. In particular, understanding more about the distribution of water will help us to develop a better insight to the origins of life. Astrotech Dragon Au thoughts compiled
I have apparently made a whole ass au now so here’s a compilation of it since I can’t think of a new flavor of Prisoner’s of Love yet
Parental Bonding: Danny uses his powers like he has a brain and Sam goes on an adventure with Dora while Danny and Tucker explore the world of actually going on a date. Sam winds up with Aragon’s amulet. (Maybe she has to attune with it or something to be able to control it and when it harmonizes with her, it turns her into a smaller dragon which must grow in power)
One of a Kind: Skulker is given the appropriate amount of fear reaction in at least commentary, and Jazz’s interview stunt gets word out about Fentonworks’ technological wonders via the magazine.
Splitting Images: Danny befriends Sidney Poindexter and they prank Dash deviously until Sidney decides to try and just kill Dash to make an example out of him. Danny stops him as Fenton, gaining Dash’s respect and admiration (and perhaps infatuation who knows?)
Attack of the Killer Garage Sale: Dash invites Danny to his party because of The Big Gay, Danny acts the way he did also because of The Big Gay. Dash sees Danny transform, the trio + Sidney convince Technus to abandon world domination (which is lame) and challenge himself to fix the world’s problems through technological innovation.
What you Want: Danny jokingly wishes for a dick when he meets Desiree, who’s wish granting smoke he mistakes for an attack, triggering his first ghostray. Tucker, jealous of Sidney’s new bond with Danny and Danny’s cool powers, wishes to have spirit powers like Danny. Desiree grants this in that Tucker experiences being struck by lightning in a thick cloud of pure ectoplasm. Danny wishes Desiree to the worst part of the deepest pits of the Spirit World and does his best to comfort Tuck through becoming Ghoul.
Bitter Reunions: Vlad’s first reaction to the ghost of a child telling him not to hurt Mr.Masters’ guest is to reveal himself as Mr.Masters. Danny reveals himself in turn. Vlad makes the plan to endear himself to Maddie and Jazz while teaching Danny how to half ghost, and possess Jack every now and then to escalate his behavior into the realm of unbearability for Maddie. Harriet Chin gets the promise of an interview regarding Jack and Maddie’s technology out of them at the party.
