a recording of the tumblr CEO Q&A that happened on tumblr live on 07/11/23.

some notes: the very beginning of the video is cut off, but the audio for it is fine. and there are a few small areas in the second half of the video where the audio drops in quality a bit.

all of that is because this whole video is actually frankenstein'd together from several different audio and video sources, recorded by myself, @xccentriktigress, and @fokron, and with extra help from @eiimblr and @sharksfood!

tu/mblr i will take whatever ads so yall can stay alive since i wont get prem/ium possibly ever, im rly not as no as a lot of ppl but like im poor man lol i realize the issues keeping me from gettng any premi/um probably cant be fixed anyways until they can pay devs to fix them, like thats something i dont see a lot of people realizing or understanding like a website is expensive to keep open esp one needing as much data as tumbs does to function, some ppls distaste is a little mean and kind of lacking that understanding i think but i digress, but like heres the thing, i will accept any ads tumbs. unless they have sound. autoplay sound ads are actually villainous esp to your largely neurodivergent base and the level of reduced screentime ive had this week JUST from the autosound ads being SUCH a turn off??? that does not help me or u dudes

I don't know if the invisible walls/floors are the same for 1.18 on PS4, and I don't know if there's enough light down there without Aloy's special "hero lighting" rig or whatever (which seems to be PS5 only) - but if you're on PS4 and try it you could let me know!

I am such a goddamn helpless baby, lol

I just woke up, and within my interesting dreams, there was me using internet and seeing that one mutual again. They were the first person to interact with me in this fandom almost two years ago and they were crucial part of my Tumblr and fandom experience, really. Always thinking deep and giving hella interesting ask replies and writing fanfics, they were like... smart? Worth talking to. I just loved seeing their takes a lot? They liked my lore too and they offered solid ideas of their own, which was refreshing.

But like, they disappeared one day, just deactivated both Tumblr and AO3 apparently? And it felt a little less right on Tumblr without them, but after having a dream that they were back I just wake up and cry? Jeez

Guess you never know who/what happens to be really important for good internet experience???? Like just following a blog that vibes right can end up being such a comfort thing for my sorry autistic ass. It is hard to explain that I cherish people who have something to say, who are worth talking to! But it is always the best one who either deactivate or just never post again one day? Though it is only natural that sane people run from what internet and fandoms became

i need to stop watching instagram videos or reposted tiktoks or whatever the hell that is. i fucking hate it when the videos have a lot of repetitive setup just to do a really bad loop. you cant just say "and that's why....." at the end of a video and think that makes a good loop. theres no reason to intentionally loop the video at all unless youre doing something creative with the medium.
