After a bit the Decepticons (skywarp in this case) are scouting around an area where they found an energon supply. They spot Intel and go in for the kill (the day had been dull, to be fair.) Anders decides that he needs to get them all away from operations because it's very close to a suburban area so he hops in a truck and hopes he doesn't crash as he speeds to the highway to get out of town. He obeyed all the laws that he remembered so it's fine.
They detour into an open field and Intel is praying to prime that the humans insane driving wouldn't kill him before skywarp did, which seemed very likely when he saw them charging up their torpedoes. Cloud Driver (an autobot OC of mine) swiftly approached from behind them and ramped an old trailer so he could crash into Skywarp.
Cloud was in the area because he'd been tasked to see who was making all of the cybertronian art that kept popping up online, all from the same city. Turns out it wasn't too hard to find the culprit since him and a human were screaming as they flew by him on the highway with Skywarp not far behind.

Is it true that it’s usually better to replace both headlights of a vehicle even if only one happens to be out?
Replacing both headlights when only one is out is often recommended, but whether it’s "better" depends on factors like bulb type, age, cost, and safety priorities. Here’s a breakdown of why this advice exists and when it applies:
Why Replace Both?
Matched Brightness and Color:
Headlight bulbs dim over time. A new bulb will be brighter than the older one, creating uneven illumination. For example: Halogen bulbs: Lose ~20% brightness after 2 years.
LED/HID bulbs: Degrade more slowly but still shift color temperature over time.
Mismatched brightness can reduce visibility and annoy other drivers. Cost and Labor Savings:
If replacing one bulb requires disassembling parts (e.g., bumper, wheel well), doing both at once saves time and labor costs. Example: Replacing a single bulb in a Toyota Camry costs ~100 (parts + labor), but doing both adds only ~20 for the second bulb.
Prevent Future Failures:
If one bulb fails, the other is likely near the end of its lifespan. Proactively replacing both avoids a repeat repair soon. Safety and Legality:
Uneven lighting can impair your ability to see road edges or hazards. Many jurisdictions require symmetrical headlight function, and police may issue warnings for mismatched lights.
When It’s Optional
Newer Vehicles: If the working bulb is under warranty or less than 1–2 years old, replacement may not be urgent.
LED/HID Modules: These last 5–10 years. If one fails early (e.g., due to a defect), the other might still have years of life left.
High Cost: Some luxury or electric vehicles (e.g., Tesla) have integrated LED assemblies costing $500+ per side. Replacing both may not be practical.
Bulb-Specific Considerations
Bulb Type Replace Both? Reason Halogen ✅ Strongly advised Short lifespan (~500 hours); rapid dimming LED ⚠️ Optional Long lifespan (~25,000 hours); stable output HID/Xenon ✅ Recommended Expensive to replace; color shifts over time Sealed Beam ✅ Required Entire unit is replaced (no separate bulb)
Steps to Decide
Check Age: If bulbs are older than 2 years (halogen) or 5 years (LED/HID), replace both.
Compare Brightness: Park on a flat surface at night and compare light output. If the older bulb is noticeably dimmer/yellowed, swap both.
Review Costs: For cheap bulbs (10–30 each), replacing both is cost-effective. For pricier units, weigh longevity and budget.
The Bottom Line Best Practice: Replace both bulbs unless the working one is very new or costs are prohibitive.
Safety First: Uneven lighting compromises road safety for you and others.
DIY Tip: If replacing bulbs yourself, always handle them with gloves (oils from skin can shorten halogen bulb life).
By replacing both, you ensure consistent visibility, avoid repeat repairs, and comply with safety standards. 🔧💡

With all those AK-47s, AR-15s, and all the other semiautomatic rifles out there, why do they keep missing? High-powered scopes, laser sights, bump stocks, high capacity magazines. You’d think they were all incompetent. But I’m 100% positive they’ll be able to take on the actual military come the revolution. Three percent. 🙄

Understanding Car Suspension System
Introduction Have you ever wondered how your car glides smoothly over potholes and bumpy roads, providing you with a comfortable ride? The answer lies in the suspension system, an essential component of any automobile. This system is designed to absorb shocks and maintain contact between the tires and the road surface, ensuring stability, safety, and comfort during your journey. In this…

Im kinda curious if your mecha au blurr has a preference between swerves as a mech or his holo
For example, if he was given a choice to say cuddle, either which one would he choose?
Well, I don’t think Blurr would prefer one form over another but I do think he would behave differently depending on the form Swerve is in.
It’s kind of hard to cuddle with big metal bot who could accidentally crush your spine without even trying after all haha
But Blurr is a BIG automobile enthusiast + has a lot of money. He would absolutely spoil Swerve in any form hehe. Human? Here’s a hundred gifts, here’s goofy sweaters, here’s funny mugs, here’s a weird tropical fruit you never heard of before, here’s tickets for a cool show. Cybertronian? I personally don’t know much about the topic but imagine literally every nice treatment for a car. Washing, polishing, waxing, what else is there? Painting? Pretty little charms? Cool accessories? Like. Blurr would make sure his house has enough space for Swerve. Probably destroy a bunch of doors to make them big enough. Would make a nice cozy place in the garage, with temperature control and everything.
…..I kinda keep imagining that they have this thing. Like a silent agreement that when Swerve is a bot Blurr would climb over him all he wants and Swerve would just try not to move bc he’s scared that Blurr would fall or get hurt. But if Swerve in his human form? Haha get crushed idiot.

Unpredictable! Why did the United States withdraw the additional 25% tariff on Canadian steel and aluminum?
The US decision to withdraw the additional 25% tariff on Canadian steel and aluminum products is the result of a compromise between the US and Canada after the game in the electricity surcharge dispute. Combined with the search results, the reasons behind this policy reversal can be summarized as follows:
I. Ontario, Canada canceled the electricity surcharge, and the US achieved its initial goal
1. Direct trigger: electricity surcharge dispute
On March 10, Ontario, Canada announced that it would impose a 25% surcharge on electricity exported to New York, Michigan and Minnesota in the United States on the grounds of "unfair balance of trade." This move was regarded as an "electricity tariff" by the Trump administration, and it quickly retaliated by imposing additional steel and aluminum tariffs.
On March 11, Trump announced an additional 25% tariff on Canadian steel and aluminum products, raising the total tax rate to 50%, which is scheduled to take effect on the 12th.
However, after Ontario Governor Ford spoke with US Commerce Secretary Lutnick, Canada agreed to suspend the electricity surcharge, and the US immediately withdrew the additional tariffs.
2. The US strategy of "threatening to compromise"
The US threatened to impose higher tariffs (50%) to force Canada to make concessions on the electricity surcharge. White House spokesman Kush Desai made it clear that the premise for withdrawing tariffs is that Canada cancels the electricity surcharge, and emphasized that the US's 25% steel and aluminum tariffs on other trading partners will still be implemented.
II. The deep game and economic dependence of the US-Canada trade war
1. The importance of steel and aluminum trade to the US and Canada
Canada is the largest source of steel imports for the United States, accounting for nearly a quarter of the total US steel imports. If the high tariff of 50% is maintained for a long time, it will impact the US manufacturing supply chain, especially the automotive industry.
The United States is also significantly dependent on Canadian aluminum, and Canada is the main supplier of primary aluminum metal to the United States.
2. The risk of "tit-for-tat" trade confrontation between the two sides
Canada has previously stated many times that it will impose retaliatory tariffs on the United States. For example, Canada's new leader Mark Carney has made it clear that he will maintain countermeasures against the United States until the United States "respects Canada." If the US continues to escalate tariffs, it may trigger further countermeasures from Canada in the fields of automobiles, energy, etc., exacerbating the economic contradictions between the two countries.
III. Domestic political and economic pressures in the United States
1. The policy vacillation of the Trump administration
Trump is accustomed to the "threat-negotiation-withdrawal" model in tariff policy. For example, when announcing a 25% tariff on all imported steel and aluminum on February 10, he emphasized "no exceptions", but eventually adjusted the policy due to Canada's compromise. This repetition is not only to show a tough stance, but also to reserve space for subsequent negotiations.
2. Avoid exacerbating regional conflicts
The three northern states of the United States (New York, Michigan, and Minnesota) are highly dependent on Canadian electricity imports. If the electricity surcharge exists for a long time, it may push up local energy costs and cause voter dissatisfaction.
IV. Potential conflict points in the future
Although the crisis has been temporarily alleviated, the root causes of US-Canada trade frictions have not been eliminated:
1. Trump threatened that if Canada does not cancel other "unfair tariffs", the United States will increase Canadian auto tariffs on April 2.
2. The new Canadian government insists on a tough stance, refuses to become the "51st state" of the United States, and emphasizes sovereignty and independence.
3. The 25% steel and aluminum tariffs imposed by the United States on other trading partners will remain in effect, which may trigger a global chain reaction.
The direct reason for the United States to withdraw its additional tariffs on Canada is Canada's compromise on the issue of electricity surcharges, but the deeper factor lies in the high dependence of the economies of both sides and the potential risk of a trade war. The Trump administration has achieved short-term goals through "extreme pressure", but the long-term trade relationship between the United States and Canada is still facing uncertainty, especially the threat of automobile tariffs and the tough stance of the new Canadian government may become the focus of the next round of conflict.

Writing Notes: Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
Carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning - occurs when carbon monoxide gas is inhaled.
CO - a colorless, odorless, highly poisonous gas.
Produced by incomplete combustion.
Interferes with the ability of the blood to carry oxygen.
Found in: automobile exhaust fumes, faulty stoves and heating systems, fires, and cigarette smoke.
Other sources: woodburning stoves, kerosene heaters, improperly ventilated water heaters and gas stoves, and blocked or poorly maintained chimney flues.
The result is headache, nausea, convulsions, and finally death by asphyxiation.
Symptoms
The symptoms of CO poisoning in order of increasing severity include:
headache
shortness of breath
dizziness
fatigue
mental confusion and difficulty thinking
loss of fine hand-eye coordination
nausea and vomiting
rapid heart rate
hallucinations
inability to execute voluntary movements accurately
collapse
lowered body temperature (hypothermia)
coma
convulsions
seriously low blood pressure
cardiac and respiratory failure
death
In some cases, the skin, mucous membranes, and nails of a person with CO poisoning are cherry red or bright pink. Because the color change doesn’t always occur, it is an unreliable symptom to rely on for diagnosis.
Although most CO poisoning is acute, or sudden, it is possible to suffer from chronic CO poisoning. This condition exists when a person is exposed to low levels of the gas over a period of days to months.
Symptoms are often vague and include (in order of frequency) fatigue, headache, dizziness, sleep disturbances, cardiac symptoms, apathy, nausea, and memory disturbances.
Little is known about chronic CO poisoning, and it is often misdiagnosed.
Treatment
Immediate treatment: Remove the victim from the source of carbon monoxide gas and get him or her into fresh air.
If the victim is not breathing and has no pulse, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) should be started.
Depending on the severity of the poisoning, 100% oxygen may be given with a tight fitting mask as soon as it is available.
Taken with other symptoms of CO poisoning, COHb levels of over 25% in healthy individuals, over 15% in patients with a history of heart or lung disease, and over 10% in pregnant women usually indicate the need for hospitalization.
In the hospital, fluids and electrolytes are given to correct any imbalances that have arisen from the breakdown of cellular metabolism.
In severe cases of CO poisoning, patients are given hyperbaric oxygen therapy. This treatment involves placing the patient in a chamber breathing 100% oxygen at a pressure of more than one atmosphere (the normal pressure the atmosphere exerts at sea level). The increased pressure forces more oxygen into the blood.
Prevention
Carbon monoxide poisoning is preventable.
Particular care should be paid to situations where fuel is burned in a confined area. Portable and permanently installed carbon monoxide detectors that sound a warning similar to smoke detectors are available for less than $50.
Specific actions that will prevent CO poisoning include:
Stopping smoking. Smokers have less tolerance to environmental CO.
Having heating systems and appliances installed by a qualified contractor to assure that they are properly vented and meet local building codes
Inspecting and properly maintaining heating systems, chimneys, and appliances
Not using a gas oven or stove to heat the home
Not burning charcoal indoors
Making sure there is good ventilation if using a kerosene heater indoors
Not leaving cars or trucks running inside the garage
Keeping car windows rolled up when stuck in heavy traffic, especially if inside a tunnel.

As someone who doesn’t speak a lick of Chinese (and really struggles to distinguish tones), I have some question for any fluent Chinese speakers.
It’s a common trope in SVSSS fanfiction where Shen Qingqiu and/or Shang Qinghua use terms for modern technology and the PIDW natives around them are puzzled by it.
What sort of homophones (or near homophones) are there for words like “airplane,” “cell phone,” “television,” “refrigerator,” “microwave,” and so forth? In other words, what might PIDW natives think they’re hearing while trying to listen in on the transmigrators? Are there any (near) homophones that depend on the dialect being spoken?
If the PIDW natives saw the words written, rather than heard them, what meanings might they come up with based on the characters used?
I can guess at some possible interpretations by looking things up in Yabla’s Chinese English Pinyin Dictionary, but they’re rough guesses at best.
I’d be delighted if someone actually knowledgeable could provide some insight on what Mobie-jun and Luo Binghe might think their husbands are talking about when they hear them use words and phrases “from their hometown.”
Edit: Apparently my homophone guesses weren't nearly as terrible as I'd feared, so I'm going to edit this and stick some of them under a read more for fun.
Native speakers please feel free to bully me if I screw up!
Airplane (飞机, fēi jī) "Flying Machine" 飞, fēi: "to fly" ● 机, jī: "machine" Possible Homophones: ● "Flying Chicken" (飞鸡) We definitely need fics where everyone thinks SQQ insists on calling SQH a chicken for some reason.
Cell Phone (手机, shǒu jī) "Hand Machine" 手, shǒu: "hand," "to hold" ● 机, jī: "machine" Possible Homophones: ● "Head/Chief Chicken" (首鸡) ● "Hand Muscle" (手肌) Does Shizun need a hand massage, or miss the "top-dog" chicken he grew up with? Who knows!
Telephone (电话, diàn huà) "Electric Talk" 电, diàn: "electric" ● 话, huà: "language," "speech," "talk" Possible Homophones: ● "Palace Talk" (殿话) ● "Shop Talk" (店话) The most likely guesses seem to be that the phrase has something to do with situational modes of speech. How one speaks in a palace hall, or how one speaks in an inn/shop.
Television (电视, diàn shì) "Electric View" 电, diàn: "electric" ● 视, shì: "to look at," "to regard" Possible Homophones: ● "Court Examination," "Imperial Exam" (殿试) ● "Think on/Remember a Matter," "Worry About Things" (惦事) Why demon lord husbands would pine after imperial exams is anyone's guess.
Refrigerator (冰箱, bīng xiāng) "Ice Box" 冰, bīng: "ice" ● 箱, xiāng: "box" No homophones needed. Meaning is obvious. Huzzah!
Microwave (微波炉, wēi bō lú) "Tiny Wave Stove" 微, wēi: "tiny" ● 波, bō: "wave," "ripple" ● 炉, lú: "stove," "furnace" Possible Homophones: ● "Power Sowing Furnace" (威播炉) No great options here, so they'd likely assume it's some special pill furnace variety.
Car/Automobile (汽车, qì chē) "Steam Vehicle" 汽, qì: "steam," "vapor" ● 车, chē: "vehicle," "chariot" (archaic) Possible Homophones: ● "Qi Chariot" (气车) ● "Near Vehicle" (汔车) A Qi powered chariot sounds pretty neat actually. The phrase could mean something like "whatever vehicle is nearest" though? Or a short range vehicle? (Google translate interpreted 汔车 as "car racing").
Courtesy of @hopingforbrain
airplane's full name can be heard as 'beating (up) flying chickens to the sky'. not in the wanking way, but actually throwing hands with the poultry.
#SVSSS#Scum Villian’s Self Saving System#Shen Yuan#Shang QingHua#* I did see one person suggest ‘Airplane’ could be interpreted as ‘Flying Chicken’ which is hilarious#* We have canon misinterpretations of ‘Cucumber’ too#* But I don’t know if my guess that ‘Cell Phone’ could be interpreted as ‘Boss Chicken’ is legit or not#* And does ‘Television’ actually sound like ‘Court Examination’ or are my ears lying to me?

Lǐyú likes to hide their face in monkey's back cause they get embarassed how easily their face flushes
Lends Clothes/Borrows Clothes
Yēzi is more likely to procure clothing in Lǐyú's size then lend his own
But he does buy more oversized clothing when he realises they both can share it (thus scents intermingle together ❤️)
Monkey See Monkey Do AU - both Lǐyú and Yēzi share clothes, because Lǐyú loves oversized clothing)
Doesn't Use Pet Names/Uses Pet Names
Both of them don't really care, though they don't mind nicknames from friends/family
Besides, they have other ways to tease each other besides nicknames 🤭
Introverted/Extroverted
Yēzi is actually NOT that introverted! He's more of an Ambivert
Doesn't mind having company even if he doesn't do a lot of talking
Lǐyú, while they can talk and handle social stuff, would rather prefer quieter company
Affection Through Words/Affection Through Actions
Both are physically affectionate, even if Lǐyú has to wrack up the nerve to reach out
Yēzi tries to be respectful of Lǐyú's personal space (since they brought up how uncomfortable it was to have it invaded so easily)
But over time monkey learns to read Lǐyú well enough to know what kind of touch they can tolerate, and vice versa 😊
Confesses First/Waits for Confession
CHAPTER 6 CONFESSION
Liyu had realised their feelings early on but doesn’t confess, mainly because they realised how futile/unfair it would be to each other since they’re going back to their own world
just resigns themselves to pining
Yēzi is oblivious to his own feelings until post-chap 5 (and he falls hard- but also realises that it’s a little too late 🥲)
So he settles for a promise (the red string) to make sure they don’t forget him
Screams about Bugs/Squashes Bug With A Shoe
Lǐyú is usually cool with bugs (from a distance)
Yēzi loves to tease them though, so will sneak a bug or two onto their belongings, just to watch them squeal
He is also more than willing to squash a bug for Lǐyú
Drives the Car/Can't Drive lol
Cars don't exist in ancient fantasy china lmao
By default Lǐyú drives
(Besides Monkey would HATE automobiles)
Can't Cook For Shit/Makes Dinner
Yēzi is a gatherer and and sucks at cooking
Ok so he's not BAD, he just has no patience for it
The best dish Lǐyú can make is shrimp friend rice
Everything else they are average at best
When they were dumped into BMW-verse they couldn't cook for shit and had to learn
Both of them would rather mooch off others/eat out
Dislikes PDA/Loves PDA
Lǐyú gets soooo flustered about it (in the beginning)
But then they realise how much Yēzi enjoys it/doesn't care about the opinions of others
Still a little shy about it, but otherwise enjoys it
Yēzi REVELS in it 🥰
Loves PDA even if he's not loud or flashy about it
A holdover from their time journeying through dangerous areas, monkey will find a way to keep touching Lǐyú, either through hand or tail
Overprotective/Chill Going
Yēzi can get a bit overprotective/smothering because he underestimates Lǐyú's overall uh
Toughness
No worries he learms soon enough that his travel buddy can hold out well enough
(At least until he can get there)
Lǐyú's more fussy than overprotective, until someone is rude to their Monkey
Then all bets are off
Has More Relationship Experience/Has NO Relationship Experience
Lǐyú is a certified Unrequited Love expert. Good at pining from afar, terrible luck with confessions 💔
That being said they've also been in a romantic relationship, which is more than monkey can say
Yēzi is so out of touch with his own feelings that he didn't realise he was in love with Lǐyú until they confess first
