I see that the SSSniperWolf vs. Jacksfilms has made its way to tumblr so here’s a bit of context:

This began in late July when Jack published his first video criticizing SSSniperWolf tendency to steal others’ tiktoks without credit to make reaction videos for her 34.2 million subscriber yt channel. He goes into detail about how her using other peoples’ content without their knowledge or consent to generate massive amounts of fame and wealth should not be allowed or promoted on youtube, for both ethical and legal reasons. He would then post a second video a month later regarding other shady things SSSniperWolf has done in her reaction vids after thoroughly reviewing her recent uploads. And a third one was uploaded around two weeks ago concerning content thievery as a whole (and Jason Durulo) and how creators can combat it.

I highly suggest watching these three videos if you’re at all curious or a content creator yourself especially the third video. If you want, you can even check out Jack’s jjjacksfilms channel which uploads twitch highlights of Jack playing bbbingo with SSSniperwolf videos (shows ways to recognize signs of freebooted content while also having fun).

However, the best way to support the cause is by taking action. If you see your own content in someone else’s video without your permission, for instance your tiktok in a SSSniperwolf compilation, you have every right to file a copyright claim through youtube. We have seen this work before (the first instance of it happening with SSSniperwolf and the process to submit a copyright form through yt is described in Jack’s third video), which only gives us hope that creators are not powerless over their own content. If you know or see someone’s work be stolen or not credited by channels like SSSniperwolf, please inform them if they weren’t already aware of their stolen content and their ability to file a removal request if they do wish. You can not file a copyright claim for someone else.

And with Jack getting fucking doxxed by SSSniperWolf herself, there’s no better time than now to spread the word.

“Mom! Mommy!” you call for your mother. “MOOMMYY!”

“Christ, Y/N. What’s wrong? Did you fall? Did you get hurt?” your mother asks as she hurriedly walks inside the living room. “Y/N, what are you doing?”

She huffs as you are looking out of the window to watch the new neighbors move in. Your grin as Steve, your friend from across the street, already tries to talk to the new boy.

“We got new neighbors. They got a son,” you hum as the boy sheepishly looks at Steve. “Aw, he’s got long hair, mommy. Shaggy brown hair.”

“Whatever,” your mother sighs. “I got to get the laundry done, honey. If you want to talk to the boy, it’s fine. But stay close to Steve. And I want you to stay within sight. No running around with Steve again.”

“Mommy…” you whine.

“You are five years old,” she tuts. “I know you are a smart girl. Please just stay close to the house. You know your daddy worries all the time.”

You grab your favorite plushie, tug it under your arm and walk toward the front door. “I’ll stay close to the house, mommy. I promise.”

“Stevie,” you walk toward your friend and the new boy. “STEVIE!”

“Y/N,” Steve grins when you run toward him. “That’s James Buc-“ he frowns and tries to remember the new boy’s middle name. “Uh-Barnes.”

“Buchanan,” the new boy whispers. He looks down at his shoes and holds out his hands. “Nice to meet you.”

“James Buchanan Barnes,” you repeat his name. “OH! I know. I’ll call you Jamie.” You decide there and then. “Or do you have a nickname?”

“No,” he shakes his head, still not looking at you.

“I’m Y/N, and this is Alpine,” you push your plush-cat into James's hands. “She’s a good cat and gives the best cuddles. Alpine is so cool.”

“Cuddles?” James finally looks up.

“Cuddles,” you pounce on James without warning to wrap him in a hug. You peck his cheek and call him Jamie. He doesn’t know it yet, but you’ll make him your husband next time you are at the nursery school.

“I-I,” James struggles to bring out the words. You are hugging him tightly and showering him with attention. “I like your cat.”

“Right!” you exclaim and finally let go of James. “She’s the best cat ever.”

Steve watches you and the new boy with confusion. So far, you have only ever played with him. Now you are all over the other boy and he feels a pang in his chest.

“Do you want to play with my cars?” Steve tries to pull James’s attention toward him, and away from his best friend. “James?”

“Bucky,” James mumbles. “My sister calls me Bucky.”

“Oh, you’ve got a sister too! Cool!” You dreamily look at James. If he’s got a sister, you’ll get two new friends at the same time.

Steve rolls his eyes as everything, and everyone is cool to you since you heard the word for the first time. “Do you want to play with the cars now or not?”

“Hey, I saw him first,” you put your hands on your hips and glare at Steve. “He’ll play with me first. Look, he already got Alpine. We will play house now.”

“House?” as you grab Jamie’s wrist to guide him toward your house, Steve watches you with angry eyes. “We are playing house?”

“Wait! You wanted to play house with me,” Steve complains as he follows you across the street. “Y/N!”

“You kissed Sharon’s cheek last week,” you look over your shoulder, lips pursed. “I saw you kissing her!”

“She’s a friend too,” he grins, unashamedly. Steve is a little heartbreaker for his age. He likes to kiss all the girls on the cheek. That’s why you don’t play house with him. Steve is your friend, but you don’t kiss him on the cheek.

“You can feed Alpine,” you offer.

“Fine.” Steve snatches your plushie out of Jamie’s hand. “I’ll feed her gummy bears…”

“I want to be the dad too,” Steve pouts as you made Jamie, or Bucky, how your friend likes to call your new friend, the dad again.

You are currently playing house at the nursery school. Jamie is the dad; you are the mom and his sister Becca is your child. She whines as you push a pacifier into her mouth. “Shh…you need to sleep, baby.”

Jamie watches you play with his sister. He shyly looks at you, as his sister giggles at something you whispered in her ear. He doesn’t know that you told her you’re going to marry her brother.

“I want to be the dad now,” Steve says a little louder. You huff and turn around to hand Steve the rattle.

“Shh…baby is asleep,” you tut, imitating your mom. You give Steve a pout and pick your plushie up. “I’ll play with Alpine now.”

“But…” Steve mutters under his breath. “You are only playing with Bucky lately. I’m your friend, not him.”

“Jamie is my friend!” hands on your hips you give Steve the stinky eye. “Why can’t we all be friends, Stevie?”

“I want to be the dad today,” your friend pouts and sniffles. “Please.”

“Fine.”

“Wait! Not so fast Stevie!” you pant and hold your side. Steve, Bucky, and you wanted to find out who can run faster. Now you are far behind, your sides hurt, and you lost your plushie. “Alpine is gone!”

While Steve runs toward his house, James stops in his tracks. He turns around and runs toward you as you start to cry.

“I’ll…uh…find her,” he says. It’s the first time he talked to you first. “Don’t cry. We will find her.”

“Jamie, you are so nice,” you throw your arms around his neck and peck his cheek again. “I knew you will help me. One day, I’ll make you my husband…”

Sssniperwolf and YouTube have given the shittest apology and honestly I think I would have preferred they’d both said nothing

YouTube’s official statement, finally, after 6 full days, states that Sssniperwolf will be getting a temporary monetization suspension. They ALSO blamed BOTH PARTIES for what happened.

Like cool finally you did something and if they’d literally just left it at that it would have been FINE. The community would grumble a little about it not being a full ban but it would pass.

But the fact that they also blamed Jack, who, again - DIDN’T DO ANYTHING ILLEGAL OR EVEN DEFAMATORY - Fucking BOGGLES me. Jack’s Sssniperwolf Bbbingo videos both transform her work (I’ve watched like 10 or so now and in all of them it takes him at least 10 minutes to get thru 3 tiktoks she reacts to) his commentary is way longer than the runtime of her video, and the only things he directly calls her out on are factually correct, like the fact that not crediting people’s work is a shitty thing to do and it is the right of creators to claim their work stolen. He generally makes fun of her repetitive reactions, but that’s also protected under freedom of speech so long as he isn’t calling for anyone to harm her - which he isn’t. He isn’t sending the videos directly to her email, he hasn’t stalked or doxxed her. He hasn’t attacked her by trying to find and credit every creator he can and tell his community that if they have something stolen by her, they can report it stolen and have it taken down.

Because the fact is that she OFTEN crops out usernames, doesn’t list any links or usernames in her description, does not ask anyone for permission to use their content, and does not provide exposure.

Jack did nothing to her that couldn’t be either ignored completely or remedied by actually providing proper credit/contacting tiktok creators to ask for permission. It was SssniperWolf who decided to go to his real life actual house and commit a literal crime by filming it and doxxing him.

Not to mention her apology is fucking abysmal. She doesn’t admit she doxxed him, and idk if it annoys anyone else but she called him jacksfilm throughout. Like his channel name is jacksfilms. You doxxed the guy and can’t even bother to look up his actual username? Her whole apology is about how she failed to be an example of proper conflict resolution or whatever but the fact remains that she absolutely threatened him in his personal residence and committed a literal crime. Like I’m not convinced in the slightest that she knows the proper way to talk through a conflict in the first place wtf

I think what makes me the most mad about the Sniperwolf (Lia) and Jacksfilm situation is that nothing is going to happen.

For context: Lia runs a "reaction" channel on Youtube. The reason why "reaction" is in quotation marks is because she doesn't really react. She will literally just narrate whatever is happening on screen, steal a joke in the top comment, or will just cut out part of a video to steal the OP's joke.

Since all her videos have the same structure, Jack started a bingo game (bbbingo streams) of her video and they were really funny.

Overall, the number one thing that Jack wanted was for Lia to stop stealing jokes/content and she didn't, this whole thing could've been (mostly) avoided if she just credited people.

It was pretty obvious that Lia hated this as she knew about Jack and would try to start drama on Twitter but things took a turn when Jack started to hit her where it hurts, her wallet.

As Jack started to get more popular, people started to turn to him for support/help to get their videos taken off of Lia's videos, videos that were barely over 8 minutes long, and it worked. Since videos need to be at least 8 minutes to be monetized and her videos barely made it over the 8 minute mark, she started to take this personally and decided that the best course of action was to dox him.

With the rise in geoguessers, doxxing is such a big thing. I can't speak about doxxing from a personal experience but from what I've heard, it's life ruining.

When Youtube caught wind of this, they didn't really do anything. Yes, there was that tweet about how Youtube putting a temporary monetization ban on her videos but she's still making money.

Lia makes more money in a month than some of us do in our life times yet when she started to lose what are essentially pennies to her, she decided that it was the perfect opportunity to dox someone. She not only put Jack's life in danger but she put an innocent bystander's life in danger too, Jack's wife, Erin.

Youtube is protecting her because she makes them too much money and because her subscribers are mostly kids, she's not going to lose subscribers. Nothing is going to happen to her in the long run. Capitalism is made to protect the rich.
