TL:DR Codependent Doomed Toxic Yuri. Long version: They are extremely codependent childhood friends who literally lived together since they were preteens because they are both orphans. Both would rather kill themselves then live in a world where they aren't by each other's side. (Spoilers) In Higurashi Gou/Sotsu, they attend a prestigious catholic all-girld school together and become more distant towards each other. Timeloop shannigans occur where Satoko keeps trying to convince Rika to not go to said school- but every loop ends with Rika still wanting to go and Satoko killing herself to reset the loop. All of this eventually makes Satoko (who has horrible abandonment issues) trap Rika in timeloop so they can relive their childhood forever even if gruesome murders occur in every loop. There's even a gut pulling scene- they are literally the ship of all time.

before i explain, how i got these names was bc i was in the danganronpa fandom at some point and how they did their shipnames was take an important aspect of each character and mash them up, for example, there was this nurse character and there was this character who was in the music business so their name was “bandaid” (band as in musical band + aid like medical aid, if u needed me to explain it)

1) leatherbook- AND LET ME EXPLAIN, the book part obviously comes from pony (duh), and the leather bit is curly bc a lot of ppl often draw curly with a leather jacket, its kinda like a staple for him, so together, they make a leather book!!!! so, leatherbook!!!!

2) papercut- once again, its obvious whos who, but theres a bit of imagery here???? i guess u can say???? but ponys symbol is a paper, yknow a place to write down or draw out ur ideas, and curlys seen as this destructive, chaos filled guy, hes surprising!!! hence why he gets cut, with a papercut, somethin unseeming (aka paper) makes themself more apparent by giving u a cut, kinda like how pony with curly kinda highlights how different they r, u quite literally cannot ignore them, quite like a cut!!!!

Alright final results

UTDP Chiaki is very much the more sanded off Chiaki from DR3 as she lacks at lot of her original sass, however she's still incredibly earnest and heartwarming regardless.

She shows fondness for the Monokubs even if she seems kinda annoyed by Monokuma. Her and Kirigiri also get along rather well and have a bit of a friendly rivalry at times.

She's incredibly observant though, and was able to immediately detect that Mukuro even when hidden as Junko was someone with a lot of dangerous potential.

Beyond that though, she's mostly just the somewhat shy but kind student rep she was in the anime. A bit of a pity, hopefully we get to see a bit more personality in her DRS. Especially as she mostly interacted within her own class + Hajime.

Outside of Chiaki, we learn that Monokuma is in fact a Gamer like he claims at times, that Genocider does in fact spend a lot of time in fandom and likes dating sims. That everyone gets along with Chiaki beyond Monokuma and somewhat Togami. Also Tenko is still pretty clingy to Himiko much to Himiko's apathy.

I'm rambling here for quite a while, maybe a got a little carried away, because the subject of ramance is quite complex

Every aromantic and/or asexual person is different. Everyone has different experiences so there's no universal rule. I'd suggest, if you want to be supportive to your aromantic friends, you should ask them how do they personaly feel about romance and shipping. Are they comfortable with this topic in general? Are they fine with it as long as it doesn't involve them, or would they rather avoid romace completety whenever they can? Everyone feels differently about that, so it's better to ask people's opinion on that topic rather than trying to find one universal rule.

If you're not asking that because of some specific people that you know, but because you want to support aro people in general, I think a good idea might be to look at some aromantic themed blogs, or read some of people's personal experiences for a better understanding of the topic.

I think it's posible explain aromaticism with an analogy. Let's say, romance is some kind of food, like an apple for example. A lot of people like apples and eat them often. However, there are people who dont. Some people can't stand the sight of apples. Some people can eat apples sometimes even though they don't like them very much. Some people don't want to eat apples themselves, but are completely fine with other people eating them. And so on, and so on.

Romantic attraction (and romance as a concept) is as different for everyone as food preferences. Some people just don't like some things. Everyone is different.

As for my personal experiences... I don't necessary hate the idea of a partner, but I think I'm very picky so I would be hard for me to find ideal option. I'm not opposed to the idea of having a partner, but I don't feel the need to have one. The moment when I realised that I'm actually aromantic was when I realised that people are not just being overdramatic when they complain about not wanting to be single. A lot of people genuinely feel upset when they don't have a partner/partners. It's not just a joke that people make. For a lot of people romantic relationships are very important. Never in my life I felt like I need to be in a romantic relationship and I never really questioned this. It took some time for realisation that not everyone feels like that to actually sink in.

When it comes to shipping, well. I like romance, but I don't really like plain romance. I like when characters have something else in their relationship aside from romance. They could be friends, enemies, rivals, collegues, allies, etc. Anything really. I just want something else going on with them aside from being romantic partners. I think it might even be better to put it this way. I like when romace is secondary to the primary character dynamic. Like, they're best friends first or they're rivals first, before they're romantic partners. It's some primary dynamic to which romance is added, instead of it being the other way around and this dynamic being just the flavor to romance. When the relationship borders between platonic and romantic, but perhaps gravitates more toward the romantic. I hope this makes sense.

I am not saying this is the only right way for interesting relationships, but it's just the way I prefer it.

So, in short, I do find romance appealing, but with some requirements.

1. Eritav (Homestuck)

OUGHHH where do i start with these 2. Ok so tavros is my fave troll so naturally during the period i was reading Homestuck a lot i stared having dreams about him. And for some reason one time Eridan was also there so i was intrigued and looked into their ship tag on AO3 and found the best fic ever with like the best characterization, writing etc... Before i literally didn't give 2 shits about eridan but it made me love his character as well. It's called "Black sails, Black romance" by mtjester and it's about Tavros and Eridan developing a kismesissitude(which is basically hate love, for those that don't read hs). The reason i put a pic of them down there as moirails is because i can honestly see them in any quadrant, despite them never talking in canon.

For moirallegiance, i feel like it would start out rocky but eventually develop into something better. Tavros would actually be allowed to speak his mind and develop more confidence since i dont think Eridan would shut him down constantly like Vriska, as Eridan is desperate for his quadrants to actually work. And Eridan would obviously benefit from having someone to keep his ass in line.

I can see them developing into matesprits later from that as well.

And as for kismesissitude, well it's already getting too long and i already gave a fic rec for it.

2. Toxic4Toxic/Socket/Rocket x Sinedd whatever they're called (Galactik football)

Must i say anything. They give each other undiscovered mental illnesses and are horrible for each other and i love that for them. Rocket is my favorite character and so his arc in season 2 was most interesting to me, which includes his relationship with Sinedd. I feel like they could have done more with them in s2, but i already made a post about that.

3. Hinadam (Super Danganronpa 2)

AHHHH THEM. Contender for fave rarepair of all time and fave Danganronpa ship overall. Best fics on ao3. 0 fandom toxicity surrounding them. Should be shipped more than k0mahina. Is more canon than k0mahina(I'm gonna get torn apart for this opinion but idc!!!)

like the entire freetime events with Gundham ends with him letting Hajime hold his hand, which he never let ANYONE do due to his touch aversion. He never develops a relationship this strong with anyone, not even Sonia who is his friend in the game. Hajime is the only person he feels safe and comfortable letting down his walls with due to Hajime's genuine effort to understand him better and be his friend. It's genuinely touching to me idkk i think i cried a bit first time i saw it. I'm not going to go into spoilers but good god man...the chapter ....if you know you know

and also in the island mode ending, Gundham asks Hajime if he wants to live a quiet life with himself and his animals. How is this not shipped more they're literally so in love it's not even funny

And NO i do not ship it because gundham is the best character and Hajime is the character i relate to most. but that could be part of it

since i've only played the official games, my faves from eacj game:

Trigger Happy Havoc: Leon Kuwata

rest in pieces. Idk what it was about him but i just really liked him. His design, his personality, his struggles. He defo didnt get enough development (since he got executed first...) but he's my top fave i think. I just really like him.

DR2 Goodbye Despair: Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu

again, i dont really know why i like him, i just love LOVE his character arc in the game. he's just a little guy tbh. He's also my only fave that actually survived in the games lmao

DRV3 Killing Harmony: Kaito Momota

I LOVE HIM. he deserved better :(. although i dislike how they ended the series with the whole meta thing, i have to say i still liked the game alot. Kaito could be a little annoying but i genuinely loved him. He just wanted to be an astronaut man. Love him

ENSEMBLE STARS!!!!

1. Tomoya Mashiro

oh my god i love this boy so much. genuinely. I cant even remember when i started liking him, because he wasn't my original favorite character. It was his RELOADED card that got me into his character though. I'm a big zombie and zombie apocalypse guy, and seeing this little guy in a ZOMBIE APOC THEMED CARD!! made me go a little insane. And it just kinda spiralled from there- I love his design, his personality, his interests, his struggles, his interactions with the other characters- he's just an incredible character to me. He's the "Average" boy, but he's honestly so, so much more than that. He's the leader of Ra*bits, (my favorite unit and imo the best one~), he's an incredible actor, he reads manga, he loves animals (he's got like a disney princess-like power with animals-), he loves his omurice, he loves idols, he loves his unit, he's just so passionate. His insecurities speak to me personally too, and it's like this little guy was made just for me. He may seem cute and plain, but he's such a nuanced character. It's the way that, since he feels boring surrounded by all of the chaos and such from the idol world, he's able to stay right-minded- such as in the RELOADED story. He's so insecure about being forgotten or being uninteresting, and he wants to stand out because he believe that he isn't impressive or special enough to be a good idol, and he works on that every day. He's a leader, and a friend, and can bring a certain bluntness and reason-mindedness when he needs to. He's just, hands down, my favorite character in the entire game.

2. Mao Isara

Mao was my first ever favorite in the game, and has constantly remained a favorite of mine since the beginning. This can be partially accredited to my bsf ( @autisticmao ) lmao, but also i just honestly love him. He's so underrated and such an interesting and deep character, with a beautiful voice, appearance, and personality. I genuinely love him as a character, and always will.

3. Yuzuru Fushimi

It's actually also Ky's fault that i started liking yuzu aswell, even if they somewhat deny it. They introduced yuzumao as a ship to me (which is one of my fave ships still tbh) and i kinda just started loving his character. His backstory is so interesting and the way he interacts with other characters, and his personality, and just. He's such an interesting character. I may not be the biggest finé fan (im defo not an eichiP, despite my username), but yuzuru's just different for me. I love him quite a lot for many reasons.

okay top ship ever saiouma. SORRY i am a sucker for narrative foils its like the best. and then theres celesgiri we love lesbians and theyre awesome. fuyupeko theyre lovely theyre really truly lovely. komahina is for sure one. as for platonic stuff for sure the training trio they are the best EVER!!!! miu kokichi and keebo are the best. sakura and aoi are worth everything. i for sure see chiaki and hajime as best friends. chiaki hajime and komaeda are like a friend group to me. one thing i never considered until i entered fandom and like consumed art was an ot3 going between kirigiri byakuya and makoto and i was like Actually. Actually. it may not be my favourite but i just wanted to give it a little mention because it is fun to me

if theres something anyone needs to know about me its that i dont generally have a lot of crack ships and it takes a lot for me to write something about a ship. because you will see i have only ever written for saiouma but lets be fucking clear any day if something came to me in my head i would drop everything i would get to work on doing another giant character study like i did for drv3 and then just start writing. however i havent gotten any ideas for my favourite ships other than saiouma and so i have no need to do character studies. in fact i probably wouldnt enjoy going through the entirety of danganronpa or sdr2 without a reason like that where im just doing a character study or something. and i am a SUCKER for popular ships i do go mainstream daily. the thing is that with crack ships i cannot see it like at all so it immediately makes me less likely to ship it. if i cant see it because neither of them interact or neither of them are in the same piece of media im going to be so confused and im probably not going to ship it. im going to see art of it and go what? huh ? okay and move on. that being said crack shippers are our strongest soldiers let it be known they may also be the most deranged of our soldiers. theyre like. the pyro class of fandoms i think. if we are talking in terms of tf2 lore

I normally don't do this type of post because it wasn't my intention when I created this blog, however as it is related to danganronpa especialy shipping( of course it is ,well lets say this fandom is quite intense in the subject of ships to say the least) i feel this whas a nice space to this kind of vent.

I quite loyal to my ships but i like to belive im pretty open to hear people out on their, to try to understand what is the apeal even if dont work for me, i just whant to see the positivy side of things however this day something happen that made me notice something about myself, idk if can explain correctly but when someone is so agresive with their shiping put other ship down to compare to their own i feel like any type of interest  that i had before in trying to like them myself get lost,especially if the shipp or ship fans in questions they  are puting down is one i like our im a part of, it make me feel so akward.

 Of course, this dont apply to criticism , everyone has the right of expressing their opinion and hearing where people are coming from overall enrich your visions make less one side even if you disagree with the persons take, im talking about the ones that are just hate like ''this ship suck'' , ''this ship i have is so much better than the other one''  our ‘’the fans of this ships are stupid’’ this just blatantly unnecessary mean. One argument i see being toss alot when people trying to justify this behavior is ''oh the fans of this ship were bad to me’’ with i  can see some point of it,i allways gona be agaist any type of toxic ship plus ‘’pettyness’’ is normal to have in time to time,yet  fogiveness if sound to harsh, but if act like they acted toward you repeating the circle you are not becoming the same level as they? Like you not doing any better being this whay generalizing a group of people and being nasty with them just becausa you had bad experiences in the past? Why compare to their ship in the firt place? why not focous on doing you own and the the positivy things than weaponize your anger?

I consider myself a pessimistic person, i allways think of the worst so i can just only hope for the best , however when i see any hate toward something i like i just whant to make more things of it to combat the negativity, i think if people did the same could be best for them mentally but made they and their ship become more approachable to people like me who whanted to give a shot, well as a friend of me sayed to me ‘’is their loss’’ so is better not cry over spilled milk ,is just quite disapointed is okay to have you taste though, if you dont like something i like is totaly valid just being so agresive about it is what feel weird, i just dont like this type of mentalitys. 

sorry for the long rant is definly not the normal type of post on this blog, but i dont know i feel quite relife in saying out lound  in a space that make me feel safe, maybe i can use this blog to tell things are on my mind related to danganronpa  the blog focous is not gona change stil i feel is a nice change of passing and maybe give people glimpse of the type of belifes and opinions i hold.

okay, you took the monaca and kotoko animatic out of context. obviously theyre toxic in canon, it’s fucking danganronpa. the au is one where they’re older, and the events of drae are veeeery different. also, i only tagged it as ship because it implies kotoko has feelings for monaca… which, you know, is something that is in canon? lol

clearly you didn’t read anything besides the tags on my chatfic. at the end of the first chapter notes, i put a disclaimer about the sanniuri. basically, when i first got into sdra2, i started shipping sanniuri due to a writer i admired. i was only at about chapter two of the game when i began shipping it, so i didn’t realize it was toxic. i also began shipping irl sanniuri. since we know nothing about irl mikado, he’s basically my oc at this point. by the time i realized sanniuri was toxic, i already had a bunch of irl sanniuri hcs. and since, surprise, the way i view it isn’t toxic because irlkado is basically my oc at this point, i still ship it.

supporting ao3 doesn’t make me proship. ao3 is literally the best fanfic site, because it has a legal team, awesome tagging system, site layout, etc. i don’t think that them not taking down fics with problematic elements means i should stop using it. is there a single fanfiction website out there that manages to expunge every ounce of problematic works? no. ao3 is the best site i’ve found, because at least everything is properly tagged.

leosaya isn’t problematic. THEY WERE IN A KILLING GAME, FOR FUCK’S SAKE. CLEARLY PEOPLE’S RELATIONSHIP IS GOING TO BE DIFFERENT DEPENDING ON WHETHER OR NOT THEY’RE IN A FIGHT TO THE DEATH. HONESTLY.
