Did you know...

there are paving stones in Bilbo that absorb CO2?

These ecological paving stones whose appearance is similar to the traditional ones are made of GeoSilex and are capable of trapping up to 5,000 m3 of air.

An active ingredient (carbon hydroxide) is applied to the stone and when it comes into contact with CO2 becomes limestone. Layer by layer the tile petrifies and increases in mass but not in volume and they are useful for 12 or 15 years.

now that i'm back from holiday, i have to take a moment and write about how wonderful my time in país vasco/euskadi was (because contrary to popular belief, i do like other parts of spain besides catalunya 😅), how hospitable you were, bilbao, and how i enjoyed watching a match in san mamés (only a few months late 😅)

so we decided to splurge a bit and do the hospitality vip package at san mamés (i've heard so many good things) and honestly, it was worth every penny! for comparison, we did the same package at montjuïc for the menení and it was hot, overpriced, the seating was not as good comparatively, and the food was meh (which is the biggest sin in my book!), so don't waste your money and just wait for camp nou to re-open!

anyway, i have a bit of a soft spot for athletic club bilbao and the whole experience did not disappoint. free flowing drinks, pintxos, and comfortable seats. there are a lot of elements that barça can take from this club about enhancing the fan day experience, especially when it comes to comfort and accessibility.

and finally, as a rule, i don't buy non-barça club shirts of players, but i was so annoyed when nahikari went to real madrid, that i said i would get her shirt once she finally left that infernal, cursed club. so mission completed! 🫡😅
