It’s not that Alicent herself wants to seek absolution, its the fact that the on-screen narrative is convinced that she HAS to, and she has to humiliate herself for it. I hate it here :/

“It was ALL for nothing! That’s why she’s defacting!” What’s actually for nothing was viserys marrying her at 14 and getting her pregnant to have his sons very shortly after he, controversially, named rhaenyra his heir.

Viserys’ sons, and Rhaenyra’s brothers being a threat is absolutely a THING. This succession crisis is absolutely a THING.

As long as they’re alive, they’re a threat and with a bounty prize on their heads. Even if rhaenyra doesn’t do it, daemon would.

Viserys married a girl his daughter’s age, got her pregnant and had her delivering kids from the ages 15-20 ALL FOR NOTHING. There lives were always at stake, they were always going to die. Even if team green never did anything, how would Rhaenyra’s claim be solidified if her brother were well and alive.

Their allegiance and support for Rhaenyra is meaningless because there are bigger things at play here.

Alicent might feel all sorts of things about it but she was NEVER wrong about the danger her children are in.

And I think that's a load of crap, because Riley wasn't even normal, the guy was on muscle enhancers drugs given to him by the military so he could fight vampires or other creatures.

I just.. I liked the character before the Initiative was introduced. Episode 7, season 4 is such a cute episode I liked watching him enlist Willows help to talk to Buffy, I Iiked him punching out Parker in Buffy honor.
