now the REAL awakening. so its 2014, either march or april i cant remember. i come downstairs from an absurdly long minecraft playing binge n like usual theres a game on the tv. i ask whos playing n my dads like its el clasico. n im like ??? he explains that barcelona n real madrid are two teams in spain with an intense rivalry n every time they play they call it el clasico. n that barcelona has a player named lionel messi, who many consider the best in the world, n that real madrid has cristiano ronaldo, who many also consider the best in the world. i watched the rest of the game with him, n i honestly dont know what exactly made me a die hard messi fan. my dads a serie a/juventus enjoyer so he didnt care enough to steer me one way or the other. but from that day forward i was the BIGGEST messi n barcelona fan. i remember the 2014 wc VIVIDLY, it made me the woman i am today n NOT in a good way. i also remember growing up watching msn n that was literal crack. the 2015 ucl final especially was an,,, interesting time in my house lmao.

(these are all just silly little character choices we made that i wanted to share because i love them - dont take anything too seriously lol)

(I played Pulitzer and a background newsie i named Tabs. it was a blast)

Seitz was the real brain of the World, Pulitzer was the front man. Also, they were college buddies.

Davey *hated* Racetrack. With a burning passion.

Elmer was one of the only newsies that could read, but he did not know this. Everyone else just fully tricked him into telling them the headline and he never caught on.

Mike was the littlest newsie by far. Him and Les were buddies.

Buttons got arrested during the brawl but was also in King of New York, so we decided he made a daring escape from the cops.

Davey had a massive crush on Jack and thought Katherine was kind of annoying.

Elmer and Davey were "academic gentlemen" together.

Finch was by far the most well off newsie and mostly sold papers to make extra money for himself

Pulitzer previously tried to make Katherine marry Darcy, which is how the two first met.

Albert was from Wisconsin. (No i do not know why but this is the background his actor chose.)

Bunsen was, as we put it, the "biggest yes man to ever yes man" and it was great. intern of the year.

The woman that Les sells a paper to ("buy a pape from a poor orphan boy?") was actually one of the Bowery Beauties heading to the theatre. This is entirely because you could see the bowery beauty costume poking out from under the actors coat so we ran with it.

Splasher became renamed to Slasher because our director misspoke once and we never let her live it down.

in Letter From the Refuge, during the "you tell all the guys, to protect one another", we showed Davey going to Brooklyn and talking to Spot. loved the moment you got to see of Davey stepping into his leadership role

Mike, Albert, Buttons, Splasher, Crutchie, Henry, and Race were some of the younger newsies while Romeo, Specs, Jack, Jo Jo, Elmer, Mush, and Finch were older.

Tommy Boy did not exist. Neither did Ike. Such is community youth theatre.

Crutchie's crutch was left behind in newsies square after the brawl, being the last thing left onstage before the lights went out. It was decided later that Specs would have brought it to him when he got the letter.

Les and Race were the best of friends. Davey was not thrilled about this.

Henry was one of the only newsies who regularly bathes.

Albert, Splasher, and Mike briefly left the strike and were scabs, this is who Jack would talk down during seize the day.

At the end of the rally scene, when Jack was leaving, Les would get up to talk to him and Jack would shove him down and stomp off. This would elicit the most heart breaking scream from Davey every night.

Staycation Day 3...

So we went very touristy today (and I guess a warning in advance, religious too. I dont know if I need to give a 'warning' and I respect and understand everyone has a different faith but I visited somewhere very Catholic today so I felt, a 'warning' was somewhat needed just because...)

Anywhoo, first off this morning, King Johns Castle in Limerick. I learnt a lot and forgive my Irish bias here but my God the English were penisheads!!

Tiny Irish history lesson - King Henry the 2nd had a number of sons - one if which was Richard the Lionheart (I am sure we all know of him) and another John who came to Ireland on behalf of his father to basically further the English rule over Ireland. Although the castle is called King Johns, he never visited it and the castle was so called after he died. History lesson in short, John, Henry and a number of other English (and to be fair Irish people too), rebelled and warred and fought against each other to try and win Limerick and in the end the English won, taking over Irish chieftian lands, making it illegal to follow traditional Irish customs. There is a lot more to it then that with all the inbetweeny stuff but that was gist of it. England won but obviously that changed as history moved in.

There was an exhibtion first and then you could go under the castle and also climb up the top.

I left Limerick to head for Co Mayo and on the way towards my next stop, I saw a sign for a place called Knock.

If anyone is familiar with the story of Fatima in Portugal, it is the same religious apparition.

Knock is a tiny town and in 1879 it was teeny tiny. On August 21st 1879, in the evening, on a very wet evening, 15 witness's saw a heavenly vision surrounded by a white light in front of the church. Each one said it was the Virgin Mary dressed in white robes, her hands held together in prayer. On her right stood St Joseph and on her left, John the Evangelist. The 15 stood and prayed for two hours in front of the light until it faded away and although they were wet, none noticed any rain falling as they prayed.

All witness's were spoken too, all said the same thing and all were of sound mind, ranging from the ages of 16 to 70 plus.

Its a place I have never been too and as I was so close decided to visit.

I am not an overly religious person even though I grew up going to mass every week, have gone through all reglious practices of a Catholic person. Now I guess I pray and have faith in different ways, only going to mass twice a year now but it was so very strange kneeling in that shrine. I felt suddenly overly emotional and even got teary and I have no idea why at all. It's very hard to explain but I dont know what it was. Just wierd and I don't even know if I believe that Mary did appear to those people but being in that church was surreal. Though in saying that, I have always wanted to go and visit Fatima and the Vatican and when Pope Francis came to visit Ireland in 2018, I did go to the mass in the Phoneix Park in Dublin but being in a place that is so holy well I can't find the right words. Just strange.

Anyway, I took some photos outside, not inside because even I know something like this deserves to be respected.

The triangular glass building is where the appariation happened and you can just about see the point of the top of the orginial church on the left roof side of the triangle.

But yeah, for me it was great to go and see it and I am glad I did. Unfortunately because of COVID people are not allowed to touch what is called 'the gable'. It's a piece of the church where the appriation happened. There have been some incredible stories of sick people/people with disabilities touching the gable and being cured so who knows.

That little odd square piece is the gable. I would have liked to have been able to touch it and if it hadn't of been so busy, I would have sneaked a sneaky touch but didnt want to risk it.

I got some holy water and rosary beads instead.

Each to their own with their beliefs and faith but I just wanted to share my visit to Knock and experience and for me, I enjoyed it.

I am now at my next stop in Castlebar Co. Mayo. I've no pictures. Its not a capital city or anything. Just a town. Tomorrow I am going to visit another touristy town and am debating whether to do the Aran Islands. Cos I'm moving onto Co. Donegal for tomorrow evening, there's not a lot of time for island hopping so might just leave it and do the beaches instead.

She doesn’t really have much to do with the plot of M*fia 2, there’s not really much for a librarian to be involved in :( However she does drive Vito to Joe’s apartment after the jewelry store heist :) and I guess he stays at her place after his house is burned to a crisp 💔

2. What is their current occupation, if any, and how did they end up there? Do they enjoy it?

She’s currently a librarian :) She’s always been a bit of an overachiever in her school days so she spent a lot of time there as a kid (when she wasn’t causing trouble with her friends anyway), so why not get a degree in that and work there 🤷‍♀️

Her task is basically to research information when someone asks for it, which was called a reference librarian according to a video from the 1940s i watched about that :-) She likes it, she enjoys learning new things and all that, plus she’s earning a little on the side by letting random mafia men use the library to do heroin dealings there/ensuring they don’t get caught :/

3. Do they belong to any factions or groups? Why and how did they join, and how do they feel about it?

None really, besides her old friend group, at least during the few months between Vito being released from prison and him ruining his whole life (and Joe’s... being forced to fake your death and be a driver for an old guy who says slurs💔). She “joined” when she was 9 and threatened to beat the shit out of Joe if he messed with her little brother again. He thought that was cool as fuck meanwhile Vito had to beat his ass to become his friend 😓

4. Do they have any enemy factions or groups? Why and how are they opposed, and how do they feel about it?

Walmart security personell No one in particular except Irish gangs. She doesn’t really have anything to do with them herself, it’s mostly by association because everyone she knows has beef with them (Vito/Joe/Mia/her brothers probably). She hates them because her friends do but they’ve never done anything to her personally so.

5. What kind of people do they usually interact with? Who are their friends, the people they look up to/trust, and who are their “associates”?

She usually interacts with random library regulars... students, scholars, etc. Her closest friends are the old crowd tm.. Vito, Joe and Mia (by dany), her old childhood gang. She’s friends with Giuliana (by Sam) as well, she’s a library regular as well so they talk there. Lucia definitely looks up to her, independent woman who forges and even steals identities AND likes to read 😳😳😳 I guess she would vaguely know Henry from hearing about him but she doesn’t really have much to do with him otherwise... maybe she briefly sees him at Giuliana’s place once or gets a call at her home because he’s trying to tell Vito and Joe to meet him at the park for Heroin dealings, who are trying to scratch burnt pancakes from her frying pan in the background (this replaces that one cursed scene with the prostitutes in my mind you know which one). She also knows a bunch of people from little italy from growing up there :-) random npcs in the 2nd mission

Another useless Grey's anatomy episode review but this time it's about 16×10

The episode on a whole was cool, and I did peep at Station 19 before, because I hate being lost, but then I skipped over most of it, because some how or the other, Station 19 doesn't appeal to me. Grey's had this Magical feel to it especially in the first few seasons that kept me coming back and with Station 19 it just isn't there. Besides the scenes with Ben and Bailey. Which sucks because most of their scenes are now on Station 19 😤😤😤.

Jo and A̶L̶E̶X̶

I was really concerned about Jo leaving the show as well. But it seems like Alex is just going to stay in Iowa for now, until they probably decide to kill him off (they can only use the sick mom excuse for so long.) But for now I'm going to enjoy happy Jo.

I was so concerned when she stole the baby because the last time someone stole a baby, it was hell (Mer). Jo was so adorable with the baby all night long, but as cute as she was, it seems like I was one of the only people who didn't want her to adopt the baby. With Alex not there and not coming back she was just going to end up raising him by herself especially if they do end up killing off Alex that would just be torture for my poor girl, so I was glad when someone came for the fire station baby.

Jo also gave us some insite to Irish doctor's background (Mcwidow, Mcwinow???), He has 2 teenage boys. I already like him. I don't know how I feel about him for Meredith yet. But as just a character I like him. However I resent him just a little for being Karev's replacement, but that isn't his fault🤷🏾‍♀️.

He seems to be hated by all of the fans so far but didn't we all hate Mcsteamy and Addison when they first came?

The Residents

Just going to lump them into one group because I really don't know them too well, which means I shouldn't try to go into too much detail without knowing about them.

Nico and Schmidt continue to be adorable as always. For a little while I thought they were going to kill one of them but it was all fine. And did glasses really faint in another OR? 🤦🏾‍♀️ I'm afraid of going solo. I love the little scene with Schmidt and Mer where he's apologizing and she tells him, she forgives him. That was sweet (and don't worry Schmidt, shes forgiven people for a lot worse.)

Helm, had a rough night, chest cracked and everything (rejected by her crush). I kinda saw her confession to Meredith coming and I'm kinda glad that they got that out of the way, because now she can move on to people that will be able to love her back, let's face it Meredith was not going to be that person. She is undoubtedly into men, hence the comment in the earlier seasons 'we screw boys like whores on tequila.' In the end Helm pulled through, thanks mainly to Dr Webber and her and Schmidt made up, thank God because that boy couldn't take her rejection at that point, he already had the broken heart syndrome.

Parker I definitely don't know well, I honestly thought he had been one that was fired among the many, but I guess I was wrong. I only know that he's transgender I think, and he can hack like a CIA agent. He has PTSD same as Owen and apparently Teddy. But Teddy and Amelia were able to treat him. That's all that happened really on last nights episode with him. I feel like he was just there to make Amelia and Teddy spend time together honestly.

Amelia and Link

In the name of the lord, dont give Owen another child or make him start yet another love triangle he's had enough and ruined enough.

Amelia should have gone with her idea and dragged Link to dinner because if they had left 5 minutes earlier they could have skipped the proposal that made her lose her nerves.

Next week's trailer shows her telling him and I hope there isn't too big of a time jump because the longer she waits to tell him the angrier hes going to to be especially with something like this. I understand not telling Owen after the moments and talks her and Teddy shared but she needs to tell Link, I don't want them to break up 😭😭😭😭.

And how cute is Link and his excitement to be a dad? I hope they don't crush him by making Owen the father or worse break him and Amelia up because they want to create yet another Owen and Teddy love triangle.

I'm living for that Link and Jo content he's like her older brother and I loved the moment with him, Jo and the fire station baby. He's going to be a great dad. I hope he can have a family with Amelia.

Now let's give Teddy a round of applause for all of the s**t shes been through with Owen and still comes back. He brought her to the hospital as a gift for his girlfriend, and she clearly thought he brought her there because he liked her. Then he got jealous when she tried to move on. Played around with her by pretending to be unsure between her and Cristina, tried to get her fired. Then she left and he married Cristina and that failed, then he married Amelia. When Amelia didn't work out he went to Teddy only because Amelia told him to, so she finally stood up for herself only to find be suckerpunched and find out she's pregnant move all the way back to Seattle, finally gets to be with him he proposes and now is going to be thrown into another hot mess 😪.

Owen's proposal as much as it wasn't out of 'obligation' it was out of something else. He married her because he was afraid Koracick was going to snatch her away after he learnt Koracick wasn't the douche he thought he was and instead of talking to Teddy about it he dropped on one knee 🤦🏾‍♀️, oh boy. And to top it all off after Amelia drops her bomb Teddy might very well end up with the very man he married her for. I just want Teddy to finally be happy.

I can smell an Owen love triangle coming, I just can't tell if it's with Koracick or Amelia.

This is why I needed Henry to live. Then there wouldn't be this mess. 😭😭😭😭

Ben and Bailey

😭😭😭😭😭 They killed me the whole night, from Ben trying to help out in the hospital to keep an eye on her, to him asking Richard to take over the task in the OR. (If you can't love me like Ben Warren. Don't talk to me.)

They're both hurting so much and just working through the pain.

Ben blaming himself is so sad and although Bailey was the one carrying the baby, I feel like Ben ins't getting a chance to release his pain as well. He was so excited and then he just lost it all, and his wife won't talk to him about it, then he thinks its his fault. Bailey may have assured him it wasn't but that's not enough to take away those doubts. Someone please just give him a hug.

Bailey needs a therapist because she needs to talk to someone and understandably so She's been there from the beginning. Floods, shootings, bus crashes etc. Everyone around her is dying and it's scary. She needs to talk.

I can't even express how happy I was to see Bailey and Webber together again. I was afraid that they would have never reconciled after the whole Minnick and then her firing him thing. I loved every moment of them together onscreen together and through it all he was there for her even now when they're working at different hospitals. It was perfect, her breaking down in his arms (although she needs one of those with Ben as well.) The scene in the end when Meredith brought donuts and tissues and the three Ogs sat on the couch I almost cried because they're the only ones left and it was almost surreal seeing them there.

BUT as satisfying as it was to see that, I know Richard heard that Maggie quit. Gossip travels too fast at Grey Sloan, you mean he never even checked on her. No phone call, text, visit nothing? He better show up there next episode. It's his family causing the mess. Hopefully he can help solve it when he hears she's being sued. The last thing we need is Maggie being depressed for a long time 😖 (don't get me wrong, I don't mind her character but hurt Maggie eventually becomes annoying Maggie.)

Are we sure Cristina meant to send him? I'm very curious to hear how he knows Cristina and why she sent him for Meredith.

I'm not sure I even ship him and Meredith. But I'm gonna need them to pick a guy for her or leave her alone. Having her bounce from relationship to relationship isn't as cute as it used to be.

Plus I may be wrong, but there has to be a point why he was there when Maggie was served. Are they going to start spending time together🤔?

I know it must be obvious by reading my OCs names, but I usually tend to give them different countries they are from. I mean, I sometimes do write it down in their backstory, for example that Lisabeth is french and Rose is a descendant of a scottish family, and ... eh... Well, I think I rarely mentioned it. 

Reason why I dont explicitly state it is because worldbuilding. I do want them to be able to live wherever, thus I do not limit them to being from a certain place. However, every time I write them I do picture them to be ‘from somewhere’ and living ‘in a certain place’. Which can change depending on with whom I am playing and their world. I used to have it somewhere written down, when only “the manor” existed. Where I said that “the manor” can be part of any world or any country, somewhere in a forest, but its standard is in England.

Let me give you a list of those who have such information:

Rose & Adrien - descendant of a Scottish family - born and grown up in England Henry - he living in England alright Lisabeth - yo girl be French, living in England Hades & Lachesis - would be a surprise if they weren’t Greek Alice - What if she Irish? But actually no I usually see her as from Wales Edward - funny enough to me he’s German even if nothing says he is Carter - Hell. But, well... She’s more of an American even if I picture her to be living in England Vladir & Anastasia - I do not have any specific place yet, but they Slavs Ann/Valeria - she is Polish, married to an Italian, and moves around through all of europe Than - His family actually comes from Germany, they moved before his birth to England André - I totally forgot but he is definitely british even in his backstory Anastasia - her family comes from Russia, they settled down in Norway Kerry - he an Irish boi

And yes, I have an obsession with making everyone live in goddamn England. I dunno, it might come from me creating Black Butler OCs at first, a lot of my current ocs are based on old Fandom OCs... or it’s the fact that I myself really would like to go to England. It is also why my OCs are often more ‘victorian-esque’ timed. I’m still in that fandom and it shows, I know.

But what’s important is that they’re more often than not, very European. Reasoning is... well, I’m european. If I make a OC from the US I’d be overwhelmed with... ‘where from there??’ and cultural differences. Same with for example japan, china, and whatever other place I don’t know enough about. When it comes to places like italy, poland, england, and so on... I have friends from there who I know personally, so it’s not that weird. As well as I’ve traveled around europe a little. Same with russia and slavic countries, I was raised with that culture. It gives me the ability to give them behaviour-patterns I see among these different people and countries which make me way more confident in writing them.
