Little bit of a late start today. It it's 11:30am and just made the hubby and I our breakfast 🍳🥓. Bagel with organic eggs, cheese and chicken breast , accompanied by skin chocolate milk. On afternoons this week so you can bet I have lots of meal prep set for this week

Yesterday was a day for learning new techniques. I attended a feeding in slings workshop to expand my knowledge base for myself and for my peer supporter side. There was ring slings, stretchies, woven wraps and structured buckle carriers, and we learnt how to safely feed in them all. :)

I love my woven wraps, and I am not ashamed to admit that I am a Lenny Lamb addict! They create such beautiful patterns and colour combinations, and once broken in they become SO soft. In fact the wrap squish is on my back in is my favourite Lenny wrap - a Dark Rainbow Symphony, size 5.

I have also learnt how to back carry my littlest squish this week! A tad scary the first few times but I actually feel quite confident putting her up there now (well when I'm at home, not confident enough to superman her up there in public yet!).

Today's new technique is going to be a front reinforced carry with a pond fancy finish, all going well I will share that one with you tomorrow. ;)

Right, that's it for now as I have to corral little monsters and get ready for my first BetterStart parent forum meeting since I joined the newsletter crew! Fingers crossed the parent champions like what we did.... 🙏 Oh, I will share our first edition with you later as well, I'm actually quite proud of it...

It's been a bad week this week - I've been pretty unwell and not really able to do any training, but I've also been a bit naughty food wise too. But I've got a week off now and the plan this week is to get back into a good routine and to put in some extra work to get back to where I was 2 weeks ago. Good morning!

Yesterday I said I was going to the first BetterStart Kursaal ward parent forum meeting since I became one of the newsletter editors. They all loved it, so that means I can now breathe again and start on the next edition!

It's been quite enjoyable playing around with Canva again if I'm honest. And, if I'm being brutally honest, it's been amazing doing something that makes me feel like Jo again and not just mummy.... Don't get me wrong, I love being mummy and wouldn't change it for the world, but I was starting to loose Jo, and I needed her back. I've always needed to be a busy person, wether it be crafting, playing, working etc and working with BetterStart Southend is just what I needed!

It's just been a very quick one for now as I have a house to de-monster now they are at school for the day, but I will be back later

It's been quite a while since my last waffle at you all! So what have I been up to?

Well there's a new addition to the family and her name is Esmerelda. 😀 The last newborn you all saw is 2 next month, and the eldest is now 17!!!

What else is there to share? Well Esmerelda makes it a five aside team, I am now a breastfeeding peer supporter, I became a babywearing peer supporter last Friday, am one of a small team who write a monthly newsletter for our betterstart area, am booked on to the local betterstarts parent champion course, have a feeding in slings workshop I'm attending tomorrow and a breastfeeding information session I'm attending on Saturday... Lol.

Basically, I decided to be busy and take my knowledge and experience and put it to some good use. 😆

Hopefully I will be able to start using this blog again more often and will keep sharing what is going on in this crazy crazy home!
