Interrupting DQB2ber 2023 with this drawing of Arale from Dr. Slump!
Tumblr media
Been reading Dr. Slump in my spare time on some website for funzies, and I'm quite fond of this manga. So I decided to draw Arale as a Purrloin (namely chose this Pokemon because people pointed out that Rosie from DQB2 resembles Arale, and fitting cause I drew Rosie as a Floragato) I'll probably just pokefy human characters from Toriyama XD (namely cause I find his style hard to translate into my own style cause it's so detailed) Though I'll probably leave animals and anthros alone cause I mean, they are my expertise (result will probably be similar to my Furryverse AU where Pokemon and anthro mammals just co-exist).
Just some notes:
Because she is a robot, Arale cannot evolve or level up like a normal Pokemon
She can walk quadruped or biped, but she always walks bipedal

Milestone 6
Tumblr media
Okay I'm writing this at 4am, I have just stayed up late to finish this because exhaustion hit me hard, let's do this.
This milestone I was meant to get in a walk cycle animation with my custom model and finish a dance animation with one of the pre-made models. I am happy to report I did both, despite the fact that my mental health these last few weeks was so bad that I was physically incapable of doing my laundry. Here's that dance animation I mentioned:
There's a vague story here, a soldier on patrol was briefly subjected to an odd psychic phenomina that caused spontaneous dancing. The dance depicted? The charleston! or at least my own little modified version. This is one of the most complex animations I've made so far and I only have my sights set higher, though I do wish I had been in a better state so I could have more time to touch it up.
oh shoot I can only post one video per post, well my previous art post was my Digitigrade Walk Cycle, which was weird to work on- I had a lot of issues figuring out how the robot character should move despite my research. Turns out, there are not many digitigrade bipeds to use as reference, and almost none I could go visit so I can see the movement in three dimensions. I have been thinking about going to some kind of furry meetup either IRL or in VRChat to see if anyone happens to have fancy legs I could record them using.
Anyway, that's it for this week!

Biped Robot, Global Top Eight Players Rank and Total Market Size Forecast 2023-2029
Biped Robot Market Summary
In humanoid robots, there are usually two types according to their shape: biped humanoid robots and wheeled humanoid robots. Different from the biped robot driving method, the wheeled robot is mainly driven by the steering wheel and wheels. It has a simple structure, convenient control, and can realize simple forward, turning and backward functions. A biped robot is a bionic type of robot whose structure is similar to that of a human biped. It can realize bipedal walking and related actions of the robot, mainly through the servo system (motor + drive + encoder) to drive the joints, and the servo system is also The core component of motion control. At present, biped robots on the market can be divided into small biped robots and large biped robots.
According to the new market research report "Global Biped Robot Market Report 2023-2029", published by QYResearch, the global Biped Robot market size is projected to reach USD 698 million by 2029, at a CAGR of 17% during the forecast period.

Fact Check: Video Does NOT Show UK Military Robot Sent To Help Ukraine In War -- It's Digitally Edited
Did the United Kingdom send a "'Robot Royal Force' 🇬🇧 Type-C robot" to help Ukraine with the war in July 2023? No, that's not true: There was no information or credible report online to corroborate the claim that the United Kingdom sent or would send a "'Robot Royal Force' Type-C robot" to help Ukraine following Russia's military invasion.
Also, animation of the purported robot appears to have been added to an existing video of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy from about five months earlier: February 2023. At the time, he was visiting Ukrainian troops being trained in the United Kingdom.
The claim appeared in a video on TikTok (archived here) published by Animatronic3D on July 15, 2023, titled "BREAKING NEWS New 'Robot Royal Force' 🇬🇧 Type-C robot arrived to Ukraine 🇺🇦" The video's description said:
New "Royal Robot Force" RRF Type-C 🦾🦾🦾 #robot from #england 🇬🇧 finally arrived to #ukraine 🇺🇦 #foryou #fypシ #breakingnews #warzone #foryoupage #fyp
This is what the post looked like on TikTok at the time of writing:
Tumblr media
(Source: TikTok screenshot taken on Mon Jul 24 18:10:36 2023 UTC)
The profile for the Animatronic3D account that published the video says, "Showing the world how AI+ Robots will change our world." The account features multiple videos, many of which are supposed to show "leaked footage" of British robots in Ukraine.
Robot video
The video that purportedly shows the delivery of the UK robot in Ukraine begins with a scene of people exiting the back of a cargo helicopter, followed by Zelenskyy walking with a biped robot and then standing with it in front of a tank. The 19-second clip appears below:
@animatronic3d New "Royal Robot Force" RRF Type-C 🦾🦾🦾 #robot from #england 🇬🇧 finally arrived to #ukraine 🇺🇦 #foryou #fypシ #breakingnews #warzone #foryoupage #fyp ♬ original sound - Animatronic3D
Original video
The video on TikTok appears to have been cobbled together from a longer video posted to social media months earlier. The original video featured British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who met with Zelenskyy as Zelenskyy arrived in southern England to visit Ukrainian troops receiving military training at a camp in Dorset. The video is news footage from AFP News Agency and was posted to YouTube on February 8, 2023, a full five months before the TikTok version appeared online.
Side by side
For the sake of comparison, Lead Stories isolated two scenes from the videos to show where the animation was added. In each case, the robot was substituted for the British prime minister.

(Source: TikTok and YouTube screenshots taken on Mon Jul 24 2023 UTC)
Lead Stories also conducted a Google News search for "Robot royal force and "Ukraine" and found no results matching the claims in the video. A general Google search using the same term produced several duplicates of the original story, as well as other content, but no legitimate independent reporting.
Other Lead Stories fact checks about the war in Ukraine can be found here.

Mini Project Ideas For Mechanical Engineering Graduate
Top Mini project ideas for mechanical engineering students
Being a mechanical engineering student of top engineering colleges in India, it is essential to build mechanical mini project as part of their curriculum. But building a good quality mechanical mini project has its own restrictions, but the major one being the financial constraint.
An engineering student of best engineering colleges know the importance of building good mini projects. As the scope of the mini project that an individual build extends beyond their engineering curriculum. And helps greatly in improving their confidence while attending interviews or applying for higher studies admissions. But the main concern for most of the engineering students is the cost. That they have to incur in doing such innovative mini projects.
Being an engineering student, they know the importance of building good mini projects. So, the scope of the mini project helps you to build your engineering curriculum. And helps you in improving your confidence while attending interviews or applying for higher studies admissions.
Doing good mini project with reduced cost requires a lot of components and resources to complete it effectively. There are certain ideas which engineers can implement to reduce financial burden without compromising on the quality.
Animatronic Hand
Animatronics is the technology through which students of the list of engineering colleges can achieve human like motions with the machines. These devices can mimic human like actions and can be used to carry out particular set of industrial actions. Through this mechanical mini project, they will be building an animatronics hand that is controlled with servo motors. The animatronics hand gets input from the microcontroller based on the data collected by the flux sensors. Which is attached to the glove of the wearer.

COMAN (COmpliant huMANoid) (2013) by the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT). Despite it’s name, COMAN has the stature of a small child, just 94.5 cm tall from neck to foot, and weighing just 31.2 kg. It has 25 degrees of freedom in total, and fourteen of these are compliant joints based on series elastic actuators. One advantage of these in walking is that they naturally absorb the ground reaction forces of each footstep. The gorgeous design of COMAN, which wouldn’t look out of place standing next to a classic Italian Lambretta or Vespa scooter, is by British designer/engineer Stephen Morfey.

Greetings professor, I am a representative for the International Ranger's League. I've chosen to contact you as our Paldean branch has recieved an unprecedented number of reports regarding two previously unknown pokemon, and we hope you can shed some light on their identities given your current position.
The first of these pokemon, which we have given the codename "Walking Wake" is a large blue biped with a saurian bodyplan and a purple mane. Some reports describe it having a passing resemblance to Suicune.
The other pokemon is described as being a robotic green quadruped with an ungulate bodyplan. Our field agents say it seems to sport a crest much like Virizion. We have named this specimen "Iron Leaves".
Any help in discerning the possible identity or origins of these pokemon is greatly appreciated. Until then, stay safe and avoid the "Tera Raid Dens" these pokemon dwell in if at all possible.
Oh, there are more Paradox Pokemon out there? (That's what they're called, going off the notes I found from Turo and Sada)
That's very concerning! Where are these things coming from? And why are some of them robots???

Do you have a list of the species in your stories? The universe with the Coalition and Booka specifically. (In case you have more than one)
Do you know what you’ve done by asking this? I had to go through everything and gather all the named species and descriptions!
I’m not even sure how many ‘universes’ I have with all my short stories, but I think most of them do or could exist in one universe. I might have missed some, or will add more lately at some point, but here are the ones I’ve written so far:
Humans - well, yeah Booka - cat-like creatures about the size of a bobcat. Fur looks like it’s on fire. Fur is long and changes color (like a fire) based on their moods Sefra - humanoid body, gray stripe down their face with tentacle-like locks on their head. Two fingers and toes per hand/foot Montauk - dark iridescent bodies that kind of look like a mix between a praying mantis and an ant. long sharp forearms are main weapons Akeno - reptilian, kind of look like large friendly raptors. various colors of scales and horns/crests on their heads, small spikes down their spines to their tails Mahben - insectoid. kind of looks like the bug alien from men in black, but smaller and less... gross. some sub-species have wings after they molt. always kind of look like they’re sneering Biet - humanoid, very bulky, muscular, and covered in long shaggy fur. I always imagined something like Ludo from the Labyrinth, but with no horns and a narrower face with a short snout Squifra - octopus-like, four main bulky tentacles they use to stand/walk and use the thinner ones as arms. Great vision and multi-tasking skills. Usually various colors in mottled patterns for camouflage Kloxan - usually humanoid in body plan, but not always. Robotic. Will often have multiple limbs or specialized tools built-in Daydam - bipedal, long necks. Variations in coloration/spots/speckles. long tails short fur, small but nimble toes and fingers. short knobby horns on their head Donkun- short, stubby, and vaguely square-shaped. skin looks rough like tree bark. Come in many colors, but usually cool or natural tones Urma Esh - lizardlike, bipedal. short, blunt snouts. skin pigments change colors and patterns rapidly like a cuttlefish. Different subspecies have crests or spines on their heads Kahsk - very powerful military-centered race that had created a vast and powerful empire. They were stopped when they attacked Earth and have not yet recovered from their losses Kreechen - small spider-like race. largest individuals grow to the size of a cat Garbon - I don’t know much other than they’re humanoid. I mentioned that this is the what Nipti from the Gardener mini-series is. Dantum - large, furry, and muscular, the Trinn-Harrup Syndicate has all but enslaved them and uses them as guards, soldiers, and thugs. Many have curved or spiraling horns. Their fur is very soft Toakaktree - tree-like aliens that can be vaguely humanoid in shape, though they often grow extra limb/branches in various places Nidabu - from the same planet as Toanaktrees, but are usually much shorter and have bushy foliage. Their bark is thin and flexible, so the tips of their branches and vines are whip-like Stransi - look like huge boa constrictors. Their tails are prehensile Teyer - small, multiple legs, high squeaky voices Chiatoru - I gave no description, just referenced their homeworld, which has a lot of engineering and science guilds, so do with that what you want Seosien - bodies are largely made of shimmering gas and electrical currents Erenti - bird-like bipeds. long feathers form a crest on the top of their heads. beaks range in size, shape and color depending on sub-species Arzhi - typically battle-centered race, very large and imposing, known for their wild temperament and perpensity for violence. Short fur, sharp teeth, spikes, and claws Ehot - scaly stocky quadrapeds with two short but strong arms. short rounded ears and flat nimble fingers Rerlutt - humanoid bipdeds. Thin fur covers parts of their bodies with longer tufts on the top of their heads, ears, elbows, spine, and at the tip of their short tails. Usually various shades of browns, grays, greens, and yellows, often with stripes. Captain Stern is one of these Thrishall - about the same height as humans. long and lanky limbs with very large eyes. bioluminescent patterns run across their body. patterns, color, size, and brightness depend on sub-species. Very fast, often skittish Nilta - short insectoids with six limbs. Exoskeletons darken as they mature Greable Death Bird -  Kalot - sturdy, warm-blooded bipeds whose small planet was one of the original members of the Burnti Solar Alliance which later grew to become the Burnti Empire Fals - skin is very thick and strong and covered lightly in small feathers which are larger on their short tails. Make up a large part of the Burnti guards in Abduction Priso - somewhat similar body plan to Bookas, but are larger, have longer torsos, larger tufted ears, thinner tails, covered in whiskers, and don’t balance as well on hind legs as Booka. Depending on sub-species, may be spotted, striped, or mottled Tiamin - tall barrel-chested biped, four arms, usually covered in short brown, tan, or gray fur with curling horns on their head and long floppy ears. Drin from Abduction is one of these Elmal - look like large, feathered sloths. Come from same planet (Burnti) as Tiamin. Rozar from Abduction is one of these
Burnti - not just the name of the empire, but also the name of the planet where  the empire began. Other named empires/groups/governments etc:
Sundovian, Galactic Coalition, Iru, Trinn-Harrup Syndicate
Thanks for the ask! This was actually really fun to go back through everything :D
EDIT: I’m rereading through Abduction while writing the second draft and found a named alien species I missed. Tibet - humanoid, covered in long shaggy fur with long limbs

Challenge Day 219, Year 5 KR-909 had often wondered why so many biped robots chose to walk on their inner lower appendages. It had been using it’s upper outer ones for a long time with great success it felt. Though it did have the odd trouble reaching and seeing things on the shelf at the same time.
