Originally I wanted it to be a family drawing, where Erwin is reading a bedtime story to our baby (perhaps to Diako), BUT halfway through I changed my mind and came to the realization that in fact I am the baby and no one deserves a good bedtime story more than I do >:(🧡🧡🧡

I went from not being able to draw male body AT ALL to failing at it and making it look like doner kabab T - T xD to drawing shirtless Erwin. It's good enough for me. I'm proud 😌

(Also my fam pointed out that I've been painting my skin darker than it is, so now I'm trying not to? Am I the only one who can't tell their own skin tone? :|)

was inspired to take up the polearm after watching yun jin perform during a visit to liyue. she is jointly taught by yun jin, candace, and cyno. yun jin teaches her that stage flourish while candace and cyno drill her on the basics of spear combat so she can defend herself to their standards

The one non-rodent of the Super Rodent Squad, give it up for Bita!

Bita (Hopston) Merrimouser is the oldest of the Squad at 16, and is quite the sassy and confident girl. A lot of this is displayed when she is rocking out with her band, when throwing villains around with her super strength, or when dealing with peers at school. Sometimes it breaks when she's babbling to a boy she has a crush on, or getting annoyed with one of her siblings poking fun at her. One might think that having pink fur would be an insecurity, but it's something she holds with pride as something that makes her stand out.

Now while her siblings get under her skin and she often resents having to look after them because she's the oldest, she has a major protective streak in regards to said siblings. After losing her biological family to mobsters (an event she survived thanks to being empowered by the Great Comet earlier), she doesn't want anything horrible to happen to her new adoptive family, so you bet she's the one always taking the hardest hits meant for her siblings. Thanks to having extreme durability to the point of near invulnerability, she can take a lot of hits. Still, she is susceptible to poison, magic, drowning, and even electrical shocks, so she's not completely invincible.

Often, her strength is also displayed with a super leap and a super bite. The latter can be a problem, as she has to gnaw on some seriously tough rock and metal to keep her teeth in check (as rabbits do have that continuously growing teeth thing that rodents do).

She is considered one of the co-leaders of the Squad, alongside the oldest boy of the family, Iceham. Bita is more hotheaded in comparison to Iceham's more cool and composed personality, but she does have enough sense to not just randomly spring into action without a plan when it comes to more complicated missions. Still, Iceham does often hold her back when she's close to losing her temper and just pounding someone's face in. She's at least easier to reason with than the other hotheads in the family, and often is more of the enforcer while Iceham is the strategist. Though, her methods of enforcement depend on the age and personality of who she's dealing with (she's more likely to be harsher on Fireball or Electrex and gentler towards Apple or Destiny, with a middle point towards Lucia and Katie).

Bita's social life is a mixed bag of chillness and teenage drama. She has her band, The Lucky Feet, that consist of her and her two best friends Gina and Chilla, as well as a friend in a sweet cheerleader that helps her indulge in her more girly side. She does deal a lot with rival band the Incisors, headed by her neighbor Barlow Hutch, and many of the other cheerleaders and fashionistas are always trying to bring her down a peg--even though Bita is a known superhero and has bigger things to worry about than whatever the mean girls are doing. And, of course, there's her huge crush on the school track star Ken Usagi.

If nothing else, she's considered the cool big sister of the Squad, whether by her actual siblings or the city of Gnawpolis. She actually has a pretty good sense of humor about being the lagomorph in the Super Rodent Squad.

While her original inspiration was Blossom from The Powerpuff Girls (this is why she's pink), as you can see, she's moved pretty far from that, only having a token leadership role (that she ends up sharing anyway). As for her name, it was initially meant to allude to her super bite, which I had as one of only two powers (other being super leap) before I decided to just put those under a general "super strength" umbrella.

A Continued Story

Fire. Blood. Darkness.

These were the last sensations that Nanami would feel in this world. She was fine with that. She was also laying in her brother’s arms, dying from the wound he had inflicted upon her.

That was also fine with her.

Her eyelids refused to open, yet she could make out the flickers of orange and yellow within the temple hall. Blood stained her dress and coated her chest. Nanami could no longer muster the strength to see or speak, but she could still hear and feel. Shichika continued to try and rouse as, as the room crackled and sizzled around them. He seemed further and further away with each passing second.

Part of her wished that she hadn’t driven her brother to kill her. Already she could imagine him parroting back Togame’s words. That there had to be another way, had to be some way to cure her, to ease her pain. A way to make the years toward the miserable end of her miserable life all the more bearable. Another part of her wanted to laugh- there was no way she would be able to endure the years leading to a quiet end that she didn’t even know would arrive or not.

Better to perish among the flames of the latest place that she had brought misery to. The people here would celebrate her death and would move on. The world would move on and hold onto no attachments for a monster that wasn’t even have supposed to have been born. Nanami knew all this too well. The only one who would carry on her memory would be her brother.

She would miss him. She would miss being understood.

No use regretting anything. Reuniting with her parents was a nice thought, but with what she had done, her sins would only weigh her down. Really though, she was also fine with that. She was fine with going anywhere, if it meant no longer suffering in this world. No more feeling pain... in fact, she couldn’t feel anything anymore.

Nanami’s final thoughts were of relief and acceptance...

...What? This... This feels like-

Eyes, that she thought would never open ever again, opened to glimpse at the... ground she was lying against. Stone. Cold, grey, fractured stone. A torrent of unfamiliar and familiar feelings washed over Nanami as she began to pull herself off of the ground. Even her palm pushing off against the earth felt like a dream.

Is this heaven? Or is it hell? She honestly couldn’t tell just where she was supposed to be now. The landscape was completely unfamiliar to her and there also appeared to be others off in the distance. Turning back on her heel, Nanami’s eyes briefly widened at the sight she had failed to notice behind her. A few feet away from where she had awoken on the ground was a massive pit yawning from deep within the earth. Her former island home could easily fit within in it and then some, she gauged.

Nanami’s scattered thoughts that arose from her situation brought forth several contradictions. It stood reason to believe that Shichika hadn’t killed her like she thought... and if so, where was he? Where was Togame? He wouldn’t be so callous to just leave her body in such an unknown location. Had her corpse been stolen after their battle? But if she was truly alive... then where was her pain? The dull aches and throbs that pained her body and left her feeling sluggish had seemingly vanished from her body altogether. If this truly was the afterlife, then it was an unconventional one she had never been educated on from father. She could feel, think, and move better than what she assumed a mere soul could do.

The scar that Shichika had delivered to her was gone as well. She was still wearing the purple and black gi from their last encounter, the top somewhat undone. There was no evidence of a piercing from her brother’s fist or from Akuto Bita anywhere on her chest. This was very. very confusing... made all the stranger by the simple wooden sword lying just by her feet. It looked like something to be used only for kendo practice or for a child to fool around with. Concerning her family’s art, the idea of her being left out here in the middle of nowhere with this at her side seemed like a very cruel joke.

She was so engrossed in this discovery that she didn’t hear the taxi pulling up behind her until it honked

Now here she was, seated in the back of a vehicle she had never seen before, along with a man who refused to say anything else to her. Killing him with a single strike to the back of the skull had crossed her mind, but he was the one operating this yellow thing and she didn’t feel like walking. Nanami required answers and she would have them.

Nanami remained silent the whole ride, occasionally stealing glances at the passing sights outside the windows. This city looked nothing like the villages she had passed through or the capitols she had heard of. Dead or alive, someone out there would know what to tell her.

There had to be a reason of why she still continued to draw breath.

I’ll have to find out where I am and why. I should be dead right now. But the pain is no longer present. And I’m alive. None of this should be and yet... Maybe this is good... or maybe it’s bad? Either way, I’ll need to find someone who can actually speak back to me.

Shichika... I wonder if you really did kill me. I’ll have to discipline you if you didn’t. But... I hope you’re doing well after what I taught you.
