I should've shown a bit more of this fight to really get the point across, but Black Bolt is the single coolest character I have encountered through my Marvel readthrough so far. The coolest part of him is how silent he is. He doesn't say or think a word in his entire fight against the thing. Absolute silence (minus the Thing's constant monologuing).
This may not seem all that interesting from a modern day comic's perspective but this is truly amazing for a comic from the 60's. Heroes and villains from the 60's never shut up. Even during fights, they are constantly monologuing and describing their moves as they do them so that the audience doesn't get left behind. Black Bolt doesn't do that. He fights The Thing for multiple pages and never makes a sound. That creates a mystery around the character that leaves the reader eager to see more. We don't know what his powers are, what moves he has in store, or what he wants. All we know is he's fast, he's efficient, and he's strong enough to take on The Thing.
This was a really cool moment of some good character work that I wanted to share. Unfortunately, it won't last too long, as Black Bolt's royal decrees are super goofy. Instead of learning sign language like a regular person, he just strikes a random pose and the Inhuman royal family make something up on the spot. I have multiple pictures of his poses to share at a later date (so follow to see them!). Oddly enough, him being goofy makes me like him even more.
Also Black Bolt's full legal name is Blackagar Boltagon. Just throwing that out there.

Yeah!
Sorry I'm not as active on here. I don't know what kind of black magic was put at the heart of twitter but that thing has me hooked
