We lost safety, which is the most important human right in my opinion. Read the sentence again, yes, Safety! Which we were deprived of for a whole year and half (570 full days!) and the days are still increasing !!

I lost my job and my home and suffered with my family from all the difficult circumstances due to the war .

Let me tell you what happened when we were bombed while we were inside the house and they pulled us out from under the rubble, me, my husband and my daughter, and I was pregnant too. I cannot describe to you the horror of what happened. We miraculously survived, and we lost our house and everything we owned there... including my phone, my laptop and all my valuable devices. Imagine that I am now without a phone! I am borrowing a phone from others so that I can tell you about our suffering and ask you to help for my children.

After several months, we removed as much of the rubble as possible, set up a tent on the rubble, and returned to live there.

As you can see, we cook food over a wood fire, if available, because there is no cooking gas in Gaza 😣.

Food here is very scarce, useless, and very expensive 😞!!

Sally just became a big sister to her baby brother Mohammed. Their mother Laila @laylaayman-blog2 has been fundraising trying to support their family through the awful conditions in Gaza, but it is hard for her to keep promoting her cause while taking care of a newborn, and donations have slowed as a result. The bombing doesn’t stop. The sky has turned red from the fire and explosions !

Just a short while ago, all water desalination plants across the Gaza Strip were bombed.

They dropped paper leaflets ordering us to evacuate... But to where? We don’t know. There is no safe place !!

From time to time, I hear the screams of children and women, then silence after the sound of an explosion... I don’t know where the sound came from, or if those who screamed are still alive !

An Update

For a while now, I have been helping my friend Akram fundraise on here, trying to raise the money for him and his brother to leave Gaza and attend school abroad, and more recently to help his family rebuild their home that was destroyed by the bombing. A few days ago, however, Akram came to me with the news that he has decided to close his campaign. The slow progress and constant effort left him frustrated and hopeless of ever reaching his goal. However, the money that was donated still made a difference, and he will find another way to achieve his dreams.

The good news is that his sister, Laila @laylaayman-blog2, has given birth to her second child, to the joy of the whole family. He is named Mohammed after his martyred uncle.

Laila is still fundraising so that she can provide her infant son and young daughter with basic necessities. Please continue to support Akram and Laila's family by donating to and sharing this campaign.
