Bregan D'aerthe Still on a mad BG3 kick… so here I am doing more FR stuff in my spare time! Redid an old Bregan D'aerthe piece from 2010. Tried for a "Randomly stumble upon a hidden area in the Undercity Ruins only to be greeted in the dark by an unusual collection of brigands led by an even more unusual drow" type scene, because lord knows I desperately wanted that to happen.

Modelled Jarlaxle's face after Richard O'Brien (because if you're as old as I am and you've seen him on The Crystal Maze… you'll know why I can't imagine anyone else as Jarlaxle).

Ah, it's been a while! I recently finished the entire "Legend of Drizzt" series and immediately fell in love with all the drow. (And perhaps a certain human assassin.) It’s my personal headcanon that after being alive for almost 6 centuries and having to be so prepared and put together throughout all the bullshit, behind closed doors Jarlaxle is the most casual and comfortable person alive.

He’s not always so fancy and well put together. He’s TIRED. He totally lounges in clothes that are old and probably have a stain or two just because they’re so much more comfortable than his normal peacock-like outfits. When he can he takes every opportunity to quote Regis about the joys of lounging around all day.

He probably held onto a shirt that has a hole and a bloodstain just because it was Artemis Entreri that stabbed him and he misses Artemis so he held onto the shirt for memories. Let this sappy old man be a sappy old man!! Robert Anthony Salvatore please give Jarlaxle a break!!
