In 2020, Australia conducted a survey on the amount of brumbies (feral/invasive horses) destroying the lands in north New South Wales. They found around 14 thousand invasive horses living in the land. They estimated this number would grow by 20% per year in coming years unless something is done.

Today that means 29,030 horses destroying the landscape, causing permanent damage to native species and grasslands.

When confronted with this statistic the pro-brumby lobbies said quote “we don’t trust the scientists”

Been seeing a lot of arguments about feral horses in Australia with the two sides being the removal of them as a feral, invasive species because they destroy the environment and the other side wanting to keep them in the wild because of...actually I don't know why they want them to remain other than they like horse which isn't a reason.

Personally I'm all for culling for food or captured and for them to be re-homed and sent to live on farms and ranches as companions, work animals and as animal ambassadors. Invasive pigs, rabbits, camels and horses gotta go cause Australian ecosystems need to be preserved and allowed to recover from damage.

This boys name is Caspian, and he's a Kosciuszko (Koz-ee-oss-co) brumby; Australia's wild horse. We need to protect these babies, that the government wants to cull.
