I find it highly amusing how in situations where the ninja are separated/it's just the OG four, Kai and Zane immediately assume control/start spearheading the team because apparently no one else is sane enough or in the right mind to do so.

Your honour, they literally have one of the best dynamics in the show, with how they're probably the most protective people in the team. And it makes me mad how this is overlooked by the fandom and the show.

“My point is: It’ll be generally difficult to sell an original creation if the audience isn’t familiar with them. So you have to slowly introduce them first until the audience does!”

I'm so fucking tired of nearly every emoji creator having some form of drama attached to them. It's gotten worse this year. So much worse. This space has become so toxic and hateful when it should be loving and uplifting. All the ones that actually are loving and uplifting either go ignored yet post away or give up after a few months and just disappear with an abandoned blog or randomly deactivate.

I want to preserve content and provide for those that need it, but there's so many creators that I just can't turn a blind eye to shit for anymore that this blog would be basically empty if I stopped platforming those bad apples. This shit is why I'm so goddamned burned out. This isn't even a community anymore. Just a popularity contest of "who can I hurt more?", "who can steal the most?", "who can recover from the most cancellations?" (looking you in the eyes Custom-emojis). I'm over the middle school/high drama of it all. Why can't y'all just create art in peace and help those that need this for accessibility? Why make it a fucking thing?

I'm so disappointed and ashamed of so many of you. I'm 25. I'm too old for this shit. A chunk of y'all are too old to be acting this foolish. Get your shit together or you just might see my retirement soon. I'm done with y'all.

Okay.

I am being super, ultra cautious about how I'm wording this, but am going out on a limb here.

As someone who literally helped to care for her much younger brother (I had solo custody of him one night per week during his teens, I fed him, supervised homework, did his laundry, got him ready for school, made his lunches, all that jazz) I am just slightly familiar with what it's like to step in to be a guardian for a younger relative.

I'm reading Reborn. I'm reading basically all of Dick and Damian's appearances. I'm...not seeing a parent-child relationship here. I see mentoring and supervision, yes. I appreciated the "I was trying to have a night off" moment in Streets of Gotham. But a lot of this is just big brothering or vigilante mentor stuff.

I fully, 100% believe Dick and Damian bonded during their period together. I also believe they had a little family unit going on between Alfred, Dick and Damian. I respect people reading whatever interpretation they want to read of this material.

But from what I see on the paper? I think calling it parental is a stretch. Damian's in kincare, folks. On paper? Damian's physical needs are being provided by Alfred, his vigilante mentoring is being provided by Dick, as far as I can tell he's not even in education, and we get precious few insights into what's happening during daylight hours. (Especially, ESPECIALLY as I really have not seen Damian receive, well, boundaries outside of the field. Or consequences for his actions. Or...really, any active parenting)

Dick's looking after Damian, sure. But he's not Damian's parent.

And that's perfectly ok, not everything has to be reduced to a simple traditional nuclear family ideal.

Sub Coryo rarely uses his words to express his feelings for you directly. Instead he would just show up with a perfectly wrapped present.

Since he's a poor college student it's always above his means and you suspect he has spent his whole food money for the rest of the month just to bring you physical proof of his affection, wrapped in shiny paper, adorned with a red satin ribbon and a white rose from his grandma’s garden.

First few times it happens you scold him for his irrationality, but soon you notice that it brings sadness to his lovely eyes. Coryo is a proud and ambitious boy with a big dream of becoming an important politician one day and some weird views that come with it. Everything related to his external image including these small fancy gestures seems to be excessively important to him. 

And you learn to accept him just the way he is, never making him feel inferior in public, sometimes even playing the quiet and pliant girlfriend in a company of important people, whose respect and opinion is highly valued in his eyes. Then you drag him to the side, gently bite his lip, pull him by the hair or even make him suck on your finger while no one’s watching. It creates a little short circuit in his brain and you just love to see his adorable confusion.

You are accustomed to accepting his presents with a soft smile and a little kiss. And you always keep in mind to invite him over for dinner every single night for the next couple of weeks or so, making sure to pack some leftovers for him to bring back home the next morning. 

“You have to eat to keep those big brains working, baby” you always tell him before giving him the food box and pressing a small kiss to his cheek.
