India's First Female Detective -

Rajani Pandit (born 1962) is an Indian private investigator and entrepreneur from Maharashtra. Credited as the first female detective in India, in 1986 she started the Rajani Investigative Bureau, which by 2010 had grown to employ a staff of 30 detectives.

Also known as Lady James Bond, she has solved over 80k cases. She decided that she wanted to be a detective after finishing her college degree. Even during her college days she had solved a few cases. Her father used to work for the local police department's criminal investigation department and that probably served as an inspiration for her. Initially her family were against her career decision but in the end they gave up and agreed to support her.

Rajani Pandit had received 63 awards for her services and she still continues to work as a private investigator while narrating her struggles and dedication to succeed in her career, motivating young girls and proving that you can pursue any career regardless of gender and societal norms.

Her most difficult case = when she had to solve a murder. there were no clues or evidence. So, she decided to go undercover as a maid and worked for 6 months in the house where the murder had taken place. That is how she had solved the murder mystery.

Rajani’s work includes background checks, financial fraud, pre and post-employment check, personal investigation, etc. .

leverage episode commentary is so funny because the directors/producers/writers are always like "oh, here’s firstname lastname, we really liked her. she let us set her on fire and throw her off the side of a building. wonderful actress. saw her the other night on CSI, too."

What made this portrayal of heterosexuality so notable was not anything intrinsically subversive about its set-up (older, more powerful guy gets it on with younger, more attractive woman) but the refreshingly non-formulaic way it was represented.

Grissom and Sara disobeyed the rules of heterosexual romantic plot development by never hating each other, then deciding they were madly in love and instantly getting married. Instead they actually had both personal and professional respect for one another, and genuine shared interests (in, you know, searching hotel rooms for semen stains and peering intently at corpses). Obvious though this sounds when it comes to finding a compatible partner, it’s amazing how infrequently we actually get to see it.

CSI: Vegas 1x01 Legacy thoughts:

I don’t know any of their names apart from Max (who I like but I think she’s just Nice with not much else personality-wise) I like the Asian guy and the English girl very much, and I like Hugo as the new Doc Robbins / Super Dave. I am unimpressed they’re trying to manufacture a Grissom/Sara romance between the English girl and Folsom because they’ve already missed the mark (and introduced her boyfriend Mark) on what made Griss and Sara so special: that it was unspoken, unacted upon and entirely in subtext unless one of them said something directly that the other didn’t understand and it went on for 6 seasons but we didn’t KNOW how they felt, not really, but you could cut the tension with a knife. They’ve already told us in episode 1 that the English girl is deeply in love with Folsom and we also kinda think oh maybe this is reciprocated but we had a supervisor-subordinate reason for Griss and Sara as well as personal not being able to talk about their feelings. Here it’s like ok why not get together??

I’m probably being unfair but !!!!

I love the idea of Hodges being framed, so happy to see Jim back (and I heart Elvis), Grissom appearing at the end was just 🤌 and Sara was carrying the entire episode up to that point

cop shows have always been my favorite so my tolerance for copaganda is pretty high and i honestly feel like 911's is more ridiculous than full blown cop shows sometimes. i think 911 is confused about where it stands. it's trying to make commentary but it falls flat because their solution is always athena abusing her power. especially lately. she used to get suspended at least and then last season she threatened a man's life because she thought he may have hurt bobby and there were no consequences.

911 is honestly worse than any other cop show I’ve watched, and I’ve grown up on them all. All the Law and Orders, NCIS’, CSI’s, Criminal Minds, etc. etc.

The things Athena gets away with is wild and some of the most blatant copaganda I’ve ever seen.

Team Taka TV habits

(Did I do this already? I can’t remember lol)

Suigetsu chaotic is the only way to explain it. He’s that guy who knows everything about pretty much every show ever without having watched most of them. No one knows why he knows so much about CSI: Miami when he’s never seen it but he does. The shows he does actually watch are high action, high emotional stakes shows. Chronic talker while watching. You will have to tell him to ‘shut up’ at least 10 times. Once watched twilight ��for fun” and then talked about it for days afterwards. Is team Jacob.

Karin has three shows she watches annually and knows by heart. Anything she watches has to have at least one character for her to hyper fixate on. Doesn’t enjoy mystery shows because she always figures out the mystery 15 minutes in and says it takes all the fun out of it. Usually likes shows that are character driven and smart. her “guilty pleasure” (which she’s not guilty about but Suigetsu says she should be) is super sappy romance dramas.

Sasuke Tends to watch movies more than TV. Secretly enjoys Suigetsu’s running commentary but won’t say it out loud. Has a bad habit of starting shows and then never finishing them not because he lost interest but because he just forgot about it. Is pretty much down to watch anything at least once. Has fallen asleep in the most intense parts (which Suigetsu filled him in on later). If you’re sitting next to him on the couch he will fall asleep on you.

Juugo doesn’t really follow any mainstream shows. Likes to watch documentaries and home renovation shows. Occasionally watches the food channel but only the shows that introduce different foods from different areas or teach you how to make something (he doesn’t care for cooking competition type things). Likes to be cozy on the couch when he watches so he watches the most in autumn/winter. Is usually the one sitting next to Sasuke on the couch.

I’m so jealous of the people who have all of the CSI books (I have 3 so far, including the companion book), all of the games and all of the series DVDs… I want the commentaries so bad…… I’m probably gonna get more stuff soon but I wish I already had everything CSI related. I’m normal about this show and I feel like I’m annoying everyone on my insta about it LMFAO

MHA Vigilantes episode four, with commentary by me:

- WHAT THE FUCK pervy villains groping women??

- are these guys related to Segway because it's basically the same Quirk

- "they're just weirdos" yep

- I really enjoy these smaller vignettes, including the more small-time villains, makes the world feel fleshed out and "normal" if that makes sense

- one of my big criticisms of MHA is that it escalates too quickly into world-ending shit and we don't take time to explore everyday life with Quirks and heroes and villains, so this is nice

- Knuckles is cold-blooded, just clocking Segway during practice

- the animation is honestly beautiful, the smooth action, the light blush on people's cheeks, the vibrant color - all really nice

- I want a delicious strawberry and cream crepe 😭

- holy shit she injected him with THREE doses

- preying on those with mental illness again I see

- Knuckles I am concerned for you

- not because of this villain, but because of your attitude

- UM what is happening here with the bee villain girl?? I'm guessing she's luring him somewhere to drug him, but the vibes are real dicey

- Ingenium tiiiiiime

- it's kinda fun to see a hero like this with a team, where he has to be carefully dispatched to trouble, like sending in SWAT or something

- ouch failure

- I confess, I still don't quite understand why Ingenium was targeted by Stain, I know it was sort of a wrong place, wrong time thing but still

- I guess I need to acknowledge that Stain was just imperfect in his zealous pursuit of his ideals, and he saw the world in very black and white terms

- anyway where's Stendhal I was promised a cool ponytail and a mask that makes no sense for his Quirk

- okay well Tensei is fuckin dreamy these animators need to stop it

- HIS EYEBROWS ARE ARROWS omg do you think he shaves them like that or it's natural

- BABY TENYA HITTING THE TREE my heart ❤️

- a world where Segway is Ingenium's sidekick is so beautiful, probably too much to hope for

- also Koichi can go up walls, which is probably very difficult for Ingenium, even if Slide & Glide doesn't have the same speed/power as Engine

- YEAH KOICHI WHY DON'T YOU GET YOUR LICENSE WHILE WORKING gosh that would be reasonable

- I've always maintained that I would probably be Quirkless in the MHA universe because that just makes sense to me considering my life, but I think that working in hero support would be very interesting

- where is my CSI/911/Law & Order style MHA spinoff about the cops and support staff in a Quirk society

- laughing over here at Segway casually tripping that villain
