I’m not sure if it’s Caesar’s Curse or just the American medical insurance system, but I was just told TODAY that why I couldn’t get my GCM (continuous glucose monitor) for a MONTH is because my insurance WITHOUT ANY WARNING decided to switch from one brand to another and stop covering the other brand. So, my parents thought I should refill my mom’s glucose monitor test strips (she keeps them for an emergency despite having a GCM), but HER insurance stopped covering the brand we were using. The cost of the strips out of pocket was $200 for 100 strips.
