A/N: I've never written for the silly teeth man before, but his personality came really easily to me - for some reason. Of course, as usual, these are all my personal headcanons for him, so please please please don't get mad at me if I 'got something wrong'. And also, this is written with afab reader in mind, but it can apply for any gender reader you like, as no pronouns or specific descriptions are used!

Warnings: Mentions of smut, and smutty activities. Apart from that, nothing but pure fluff and showman-style romance!

Romantic Headcanons for Caine!

(I couldn't think of anything I could write for platonic, I'm a lot better at romantic-)

Starting off, I definitely think that Caine is a romantic type. (What showman wouldn't be?)

Caine would favour you over all the other circus members, and deny it if he gets called out.

He would exempt you from adventures that you don't want to do, and instead take you out for a fancy candlelit meal at the digital restaurant shown in the pilot.

Think fancy wines, lavish suits or dresses, romantic jazz music played by a digital band, and candles. Tons and tons of candles just floating while you two eat the best digital food of your life.

And dessert? Angle Food Cake of course, made specially by him or bubble.

You'd dance to the music, ballroom style, with a few dips and extra special moves included.

Every time you would go out with him, he'd give you a gift. Maybe a fancy brooch, or a piece of jewellery encrusted with jewels and plated by gold.

Fancy outfits are also to be expected.

You'd be given the luxury of a larger, more secluded bedroom as well!

The bed would be adorned with silk sheets and a bed canopy, most likely in red to remind you of him.

And I'm not sure if you want nsfw, but the nights you guys would spend in that bed would be fun, to say the least.

He'd happily indulge whatever you're into. Ai's are always wanting to learn new things, after all.

He'd spoil you rotten, both in bed and out.

When it comes to affection, he's a good mix of a lot of different types of affection.

As stated above, he's a gift giver, but also big on acts of service.

He's a big believer in words of affirmation, but not too often. Don't wanna give you an ego. (Although with the way he treats you, I feel like you would already have one depending on your personality)

He would love calling you pet names. Traditional ones are his favourite, like darling, honey, lovely, dove, doll, etc.

When it comes to physical affection, he'd probably draw the line at holding hands and cuddles. Heck, even cuddles would be a bit too far sometimes. Maybe just an arm swung over your shoulder when you're watching a movie? Sure... you can lean into him as well, just not too far, okay?

And kisses are... a challenge. Depending on how you look in the digital world, kisses may be manageable. He has no lips over his teeth though, so if you really want to kiss him... uh, try your best. (Maybe just kiss his teeth?)

He'd definitely get flustered if you initiate anything or give him a gift, though.

Like he'd be all confident one second, and the next he'd be flustered and stuttering at your kindness.

He would also display your gift with pride for the whole circus to see!

That's the only thing the circus members'll see, though.

Caine would be fine being affectionate with you in private (if not too much) but in front of the others the furthest he would go when it comes to affection is pet names, or maybe flashing you a wink.

Not that the others really care though. I feel like they'd all be pretty indifferent to it, no matter how much affection you guys show.

If you bug him about it, he'd probably give in. Eventually.

Tadc Caine x werewolf reader

(Also reader the reader’s gender will not be mentioned)

(Also this is probably bad)

(btw the wolf form isn't just a wolf, it's a humanoid wolf)

(When people think of wolves communicating, they most likely think of howling. But wolves have an extensive repertoire of sounds. Whines and whimpers indicate friendly interaction but can also express frustration or anxiety. Growls and snarls are threatening or defensive.)

You sat on your bed thinking about your situation, excluding the whole being trapped here thing, you've had five outbursts already, all for different reasons. Two of them were just normal transitions, one of them was because Jax tripped you over, another was because he locked you in a room, and another was because Kinger scared you when he screamed. You've almost killed Jax six times already, if you don't sort this out soon you might actually hurt someone. You're also really glad that Caine hasn't caught on yet, you'd think he would of by now since he brags about having eyeballs everywhere, watching everyone's every move. If he did find out he'd probably put you in the cellar with all the abstracted beings. Thinking about that made you a bit tense, you could feel your wolf side awakening and trying to get out. You try to keep it in but you fail, and your tail rips a hole in your pants ruining yet another pair.

"$#!%" You got censored and grabbed your tail, you tried to stroke it to calm down, and it was working until you heard knocking at your door, this very much startled you because you didn't hear anyone walk up to your door.

"(y/n), I heard profanity," you hear a voice exclaim behind the door, you knew exactly who it was. Caine.

"£$%^ &*%$ £$?<> &*^%," you cursed again and got censored again, stumbling around the room, stubbing your toe in the process, swearing some more and crashing into the wall, thus making your wolf ears pop out.

"I was just going to tell you not to swear, but now I feel like I should check up on you," he says turning the knob. This alerted you, your wolf ears twitching. The door was slightly opening until you crashed into it slamming it shut again, with your now wolf arms. This made Caine jump and his teeth clenched together and his eyes flew out the back of his head. He soon regained his posture.

"NoOOoooOOoo! ThAt's fINe!" you try to reassure, your voice changing four times in that sentence.

You really didn't want him to find out about this, it would be so embarrassing, notably since you kinda like him, and even worse, him getting rid of you...You started spiralling, this made you transform more, clawed paws busting out of your shoes and your clothes ripping a bit.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!" you howled in pain, transforming was painful sometimes, especially if you were stressed. Caine got a bit worried thinking you were abstracting. He grabbed the handle and tried to open the door again.

"Are you sure you're quite alright my dear?" he asked trying to push against you.

"Yes! Quite sure," you snapped back trying to get him to leave, sadly it didn't work.

"GRRRRRRrrrrrrggggrrrrrggrgr," you started to growl getting a bit agitated, you were now fully wolf.

"Alright, I didn't want to have to do this," he declared, you saw him start to use magic on the door, so you ran and hid under a cover on your bed.

"But you've given me no choice," he said before the door exploded. He floats in and the door remakes itself behind him. Caine looked around expecting to see a trashed room, with you abstracted in the middle of it, but that's not what he found, what he found instead was a normal room with you huddling under a cover on the bed.

"Oh look, you've seen I'm okay and now you can leave," you said almost losing it.

"Are you suuurre you're alright (y/n), I've heard of humans frequently lying about their feelings-" you cut him off,

"yeah, I'm...I'm fine," you said shifting slightly as you did, your tail slipped out the back of the cover. Caine noticed this and floated over to it, to inspect. He lightly touched it, you could still feel it. You yelped and snatched it back in. Caines eyes bulged as he saw the big paw quickly come and go.

"You can go now," you said desperately. He flouted round to the front,

"(y/n), what's going on here?" he asked still a bit worried, but thankful you didn't abstract. You gripped the cover.

"Nothing's going on," Caine grabbed the cover,

"Let me see," he said, worry mixed with curiosity.

"Please don't," you mumbled before he pulled up the cover. All you had on was ripped shorts, everything else was fur. You covered your eyes, ears lowering.

"Don't look at me," you curled up, as your tail wrapped around your legs.

Caine's bottom jaw dropped (like in the pilot at the start). You peaked because the silence was killing you, you saw his surprised expression. Caine gasped as he got a glance at your eye, they were a beautiful gold colour.

You then scooted to the top of the bed trying to get away and hide more.

"W-what is this?" he questioned, you looked up at him. Now both your golden eyes staring into his heterochromia blue and green eyes.

He gulped he's never been this nervous before, it felt strange to him, it felt like you were staring into his soul.

"It's monstrous is what it is!" you spat with self-hatred, this led to him being able to see your teeth, they were very sharp unlike his.

"It's..." he started

"Horrible, dreadful, horrifying? you suggested

"It's..." he tried to think of what he wanted to say.

"Upsetting, bothersome, alarming?" you listed some more things.

"Gorgeous," he added, sounding less loud than usual. This took you off guard, you felt heat rise to your face, your pupils dilated.

You hugged your knees, tears in your eyes, *sniff*

"Y-you're just saying that," you said meekly.

"I assure you I'm not my.....dear, Oh gosh, are you crying?" he was startled.

"NO No no, NO I'm not!" your voice started to change again, as you rubbed your eyes with your fluffy arm.

"Golly, I'm not the best with human emotions," he said not knowing what to do. He floated over to the bed and patted your head, this felt nice.

"Your fur is so soft" he said in a gentle tone, unlike the usual booming voice he uses. It shocked him when he saw your tail start wagging. You started to make whining noises, and with one fast action, you grasped your paws on your snout. This made you really embarrassed. Caine decided not to mention it for your sake and tried to change the subject.

"Well, I don't think you're, horrible, dreadful, horrifying, upsetting, bothersome, or alarming," he said in quick succession, a bit too quick that you almost didn't hear him. You looked up at him, into his eyes making him nervous again.

"I think, you're quite....pretty," he said looking everywhere but you.

"Really?" you asked hoping he was telling the truth.

"Why yes, you look lovely," he said now looking at you.

He fully floated down to the bed, landing on it. Your tail now in front of him, he looked at it.

"May I," he politely asked being cautious considering what happened last time. You nodded without saying anything. He delicately stroked down your tail, it shined and glimmered.

"Your fur is so pretty," he said looking up at you, shocked seeing you looking down and, ears lowered.

You were glad he couldn't see you blushing through the fluff.

"I thought you were gonna...get rid of me.

He was shocked that you thought that, especially because of this.

Before he could answer, you started crying again, and quickly grabbed him, making him yelp, and shoved him into your chest. You were bigger than him when you were in your human-ish form and now that you were in your wolf form that was a bit bigger you were definitely bigger than him. You crossed your legs and he was sitting there in between them looking up at you. Your tail wrapped around your legs, tightening the space in between them. Caine was in a sea of fur.

"You know how you look?" you said no longer crying and getting a bit more confident.

Caine shook his head eyes wide looking up at your golden orbs. You smiled showing your 42 sharp teeth.

"Adorable"

Pomni, Kinger, Caine & Jax's reaction to their s/o abstracting

warning(s): angst, hurt no comfort, self-blame, "death" of the reader, implied "death"/abstraction of another character (spoiler: Kinger), hopeful outcome note(s): There's nothing incredibly heavy or detailed, just tread carefully if "death" is something you are sensitive to, please. The "hopeful outcome" implies that Caine will at some point in time be able to fix those who've abstracted. A/N: I was feeling particularly cruel and wanted to write some angst, this came to mind and I'll be honest. I made myself a little sad.

Pomni

She never saw it coming, of course, you were acting different lately but she didn’t think it would… lead to you abstracting…

It took forever for things to get some semblance of normalcy, and you being with her was a major part of it.

Sure the relationship in a place like this was a bit, weird, but you cared about her, and she cared about you.

You kept her sane and grounded, so when you were found abstracted? It felt like she failed you.

Ragatha tries to assure her that you aren’t completely gone. Like Kaufmo you’re being kept in the cellar. Caine claims the abstracted are being kept there until he can find a way to “fix” them. (Whether he’s genuine or not though, none of them know.)

It’s all empty promises though, she still feels like she failed you.

Kinger

Not again…

Kinger silently promised himself not again, he was fine being friendly with everyone else that fell into the circus, but he had no intentions of being more than that.

But then you happened, and while he was still in shambles from the time and the insanity spent here, you were there beside him. Like a knight in shining armor.

He hadn’t been around when you abstracted, in fact, he didn’t know you abstracted until there was yelling, and boom an abstraction was causing chaos.

Kinger didn’t know who it was until it was sent off to the cellar, actually, he didn’t know who it was until he realized everyone was present except you.

There’s a high probability that losing someone again, losing you, is what ends up being his own downfall. The other’s (not including Jax) try their all to get him to calm down but it’s not enough, it’s too late…

Caine

Of all the humans to be pulled in he never once got attached.

This was never supposed to happen, he’s incapable of love.

Caine does his best to keep the humans from abstracting, and as many eyes as he has over the place, there are always ones that slip through his grasp.

Of course, he’s not around when you abstract, it takes a bunch of hooting and hollering from everyone before he shows up and oh hey an abstraction.

At an immediate glance, he knows it’s you, abstractions never remotely look like the person they were before but he knows it’s you. You don’t recognize him as you lash out, of course you don’t, you can’t.

He’s unsure about tossing you with the others in the cellar, there’s nowhere else he can truthfully keep you without causing problems. So into the cellar, you go.

Caine visits you though, not for long but he does check in on you. Not that anything changes, but out of all the abstractions down there, he knows exactly which one is you.

You’ll be the first human he fixes as soon as he’s able to.

Jax

His s/o abstracted? Nice joke, though it’s in poor taste. You’re completely fine, he just saw you earlier.

Jax doesn’t believe it until he sees it, and seeing it absolutely ruins him. He’s seen countless others get abstracted and thrown into the cellar, but why, why does it have to be you?

Why couldn’t it have been literally anyone else? He didn’t give a shit about anyone else, the one person he cared for, and you…

Similarly to Pomni, he feels it’s his fault like he could’ve, no should’ve done more. Was he so wrapped up in everything else that he didn’t notice the signs? Why didn’t you talk to him? You didn’t, didn’t do that on purpose, did you?

For the first time ever, the others are genuinely worried about Jax, they all saw/know how much you meant to him. The two of you even spoke fondly about what the two of you would do if you got out of the circus.

For a while Jax becomes even more irrational and unhinged, they try not to hold it against him too badly, even when he oversteps. He’s grieving and none of them know just how long that’ll go on.

Jax isn’t quite the same afterward, but he makes sure that nobody else tries to worm their way into his heart.

If it’s possible, he’ll make sure Caine fixes you the second he’s able to. Even if Caine can fix only one person, it’s going to be you.

୨୧ I dont really think Caine would be really scared or creeped out by you at the start, because he's an AI so, his reaction would be a totally different than the others, i can see him complimenting you actually.

୨୧ When you first got into the circus, you were just so eerily... calm? it impressed him a bit since everybody freaked out whenever they got to the circus, thats the first thing that kinda got him curious, but he just brushed it off when he found out its just in ur nature.

୨୧ When you talk slowly and smoothly like those creepy characters, he would just get a bit impatient, Caine is a very eletric and excited robot, so i dont really think he would have much patience with you when you start talking.

୨୧ One thing that can annoy him a bit is the fact you were just so mysterious, you werent really present on the adventures and when you were you just would blend in the background and didnt really do much, it was like you were a digital ghost or something.

୨୧ He would question the others of why they were so creeped by you, like i said, your weird nature wouldnt really have an effect on him so its very likely that he wont get why the others are so scared of you.

୨୧ About how he reacts to your creepy hobbies; he just doesnt really finds it age appropriate, like, why do you have so many gory drawings?! why do you keep trying to decapitate Jax?? to use his head as a souvenir?! reader!! that is not age appropriate!

୨୧ He would try to drive you away from those creepy hobbies, only upsetting you and making you "calmly" threat him saying you would make him eat his own eyes, but it was an empty threat since you cant do much to the RINGMASTER of the circus, and it didnt really work but oh well.

୨୧ He finds your character unique because it can 'almost blend in the dark easily' and he says that because one day he went out in the night to just wander around since he's an AI and doesn't really need sleep and... thats when he saw you, putting a message with a cute bow wrapped knife in Jax's door... you looked really nice in the dark btw.

୨୧ The others praise you because whenever your in the same room as Jax, he shuts up for the first time and as long as you're present in the same room as him, he wont bug anyone and that makes everybody so much happier.

🚪Pomni x Reader 🃏

Pomni was afraid of what might happen to her in this digital world. She was afraid that she would become one of the frightening, crazed creatures kept in the local dungeon. However, she did not expect that the one who abstracts would be you. She saw you turn into a frightening monster and Caine sent you to the others. The others were planning your wake the next day and Pomni was sitting in her room crying. The realization that she had lost you was hurting her a lot

Early in the morning, she left her room but stopped at your door. Pomni couldn't find the strength to look away, but when the door opened and she saw you, she screamed. Pomni wasn't sure if she screamed in shock or joy, but the next thing she did was hug you. You were fine. You were alive. She pinched herself a few times, trying to figure out if she was dreaming or not, but it wasn't a dream

No one knew how it happened that you came back, because you remembered how you ended up in your room. You remembered how your mind went blank, and then you woke up in your room. It was a real miracle. Pomni was sincerely glad to see you back, squeezing your hand. You were one of the people she immediately became attached to and the last thing she wanted to lose was you

It won't be long before Pomni stops waking up from nightmares where you disappear from her life again. Every time after such a nightmare, she hurried to you, even if it was very late. She needed to see you again and make sure it was just a dream

Ragatha witnessed several of her comrades leave them, but seeing you abstract was especially hard. You were very close to her, perhaps the closest person of all in this digital prison. But you left her too. She didn't know what exactly had led to this, but the fact remained. You weren't with her anymore and it hurt her a lot

In the middle of the night, she was woken up by a scream that came from your room. The most frightening thing was that it was definitely your voice. Ragatha ran to your room while the others were trying to figure out what was going on. She knocked on your room quickly, but when you opened the door for her, she couldn't believe it. You were fine. You stood in front of her with fear in your eyes, but it was you, as if nothing had happened

As it turned out, you didn't know why you returned to your normal state. You didn't have any memories from the moment your consciousness went out until you woke up in your room. Ragatha didn't know if you did something or if you were just lucky, but she was glad that you were okay again

Ragatha started trying to spend more time with you. She didn't want to lose you again, but she wasn't sure if she could prevent it. That's why she tried to at least spend more time with you, not knowing what might happen in the future

🐰 Jax x Reader 🗝

Jax treated many things with caustic indifference. He did not participate in the commemorations of many, but he was shocked when you became the one who abstracted. You and Jax were close and often spent time together, but now all this will not happen. Jax didn't show it, but it hurt. The realization that he had lost a loved one made his heart ache

He sat in your room and hugged your pillow. It was hard for him to accept that you were no longer there. It was like it was just a huge glitch in the digital world. He dozed off with his back against the wall, but woke up to a soft touch on his shoulder and your sleepy voice. You asked him what he was doing in your room. Jax opened his eyes to dispel this illusion, but you were really in front of him

He leaned forward, hugging you. You were real, you were alive. Jax didn't know if it was a dream, but if he saw you in a dream, he didn't want to wake up. It was hard for Jax to admit it, but he was attached to you and didn't want to feel the loss of you again. He asked how you ended up in the room, but you said you didn't remember either. It's like the last few hours have disappeared from your memory. Perhaps it was even better, because you didn't remember how you abstracted

Jax wasn't going to let that happen again. He wasn't sure exactly how, but he intended to protect you. You were his ray of light in this digital circus, and he didn't want to lose someone who made him feel better

🎭 Gangle x Reader ���

Gangle was so glad when you appeared in her life. She was comfortable with you and didn't worry about anything. You protected her from Jax and kept her company. But your quiet time together ended when you abstracted. Gangle, upon learning about this, could not find a place for herself. It was as if a piece of her heart had been taken away from her. She was sitting in her room, unable to find the strength to leave

Sobbing could be heard from her room and she felt just awful. Your voice outside the door brought her out of her mourning. She raised her head, not understanding how this was possible, but hurried to open the door. You were standing right at her door. You were fine. Gangle couldn't hold back the tears and hugged you. She didn't understand how this was possible, and even if it was just a dream, but she was happy to see you again

When Gangle calmed down a bit, you told her that you had no idea what had happened. You remembered how your mind shut down, and then you woke up in your room. You didn't remember how you got there or what happened. Gangle told you in an uncertain voice what happened, causing surprise on your face. All you could say for sure was that you're glad you're back to normal

Gangle was afraid that you might abstract again, so she often worried about you. You were there for her so that she wouldn't worry so much, because you didn't want her to be distracted by her anxiety. You intended to be close to each other and try to protect each other from what might happen

👑 Kinger x Reader ♟️

Kinger has been seemingly the longest in the digital circus. He had seen many people lose themselves, but he was still relatively normal. Your appearance in this strange place made him happy, because he had a person with whom he became close. Despite all his oddities, you stayed by his side. He felt calmer around you. But that calmness collapsed like a house of cards when you abstracted

The fact that it happened to you knocked him out of his rut. His anxiety increased and he was more nervous than usual. However, he let out a real scream when he saw you. You walked out of the hallway where your rooms were, as if nothing had happened to you. He hid from everyone in his Impenetrable Fortress, perfectly hearing the joyful voices of others. But it was hard for him to believe that it was really you and not an illusion that his mind had created. Kinger was really afraid that if he believed that you were real, you would disappear

All you hoped for was that Kinger wouldn't avoid you

He opened the entrance to his fortress for you, where you sat quietly together. No one could explain how you got back to normal, but Kinger didn't want to figure it out. He was just glad that you were back

🖕 Zooble x Reader 🦿

Zooble rarely showed emotions such as sadness. They weren't insensitive and upset when someone abstracted, but the fact that you became the one who abstracted especially hurt them. They could not have imagined that losing a loved one would be so painful

For Zooble, you weren't just close. You were someone they liked to spend time with, someone they trusted. They intended to have your wake, but something happened that no one expected. You came out of your room as if everything was fine, and you didn't understand why everyone was looking at you so shocked, as if you had died and risen

Zooble told you about what happened to you. Their story shocked you. You had absolutely no memory of what happened to you, but you understood that there was no point in lying to them, especially about such a serious thing. But now Zooble felt much calmer, because you really came back

Preparing the wake didn't make sense anymore and Zooble spent even more time with you. They didn't talk about it openly, but now they have a fear that they might lose you. Abstraction seemed like something far away, but now they were afraid that it might happen again. Therefore, they tried to spend as much time with you as possible, I hope that this can somehow help prevent you from abstracting again

🎩 Caine x Reader 👀

Caine saw how one by one the players abstracted. He didn't treat it as something serious, like a lot of things. But it was different with you. He liked you, even though it shouldn't have been. But when you abstracted, he felt something that he hadn't felt before when it happened to others. He felt the pain of losing a loved one

All he could do was hide you with the others. He would have liked to change everything, to get you back to normal, but he couldn't do anything. But when he saw it, he thought it was a system error. It was only when he touched you that he calmed down. You were really alive, although he saw exactly how you abstracted

Neither you nor Caine knew how it happened. You didn't remember how you abstracted. You only remembered how your eyes started to darken and your mind started to shut down, after which you woke up in your room. Caine understood perfectly well that it was strange and he could not explain what had happened, but decided not to think about it, because it was much more important that you were there again

He discovered an understanding of what he felt for you and now he wanted to tell you about it. Caine didn't know if what happened to you would happen again, but he hoped that he could prevent you from turning into a monster and not lose you again

+ gummigoo and princess loolilalu!! Hooray! i think i might have written something like this a long long long time ago buuuuuuuut with episode 2 out and more info on some characters, i decided to remake it... if i have written this before..!

Notes: reader is GN but post mainly focuses on the canon characters

CAINE

Very obvious, and he's not going to waste too much time flirting with you before he asks you out on a date. He gives you special attention compared to the other circus members and always checks in on you first. He's open to flirting, but he doesn't go overboard with it... he's got to keep it family friendly, you know! Boggles at you if you return the energy, before regaining himself and hitting right back with a line. Doesn't hold back any punches when trying to impress you, it hits its peak when he tries to ask you out. It can get... overwhelming...

POMNI

Poor girl. She's so awkward around you, she doesn't want you to think she's some loser. Even though she kind of is already/j. Tries to make conversation with you to get to know you better and to just spend time with you. She's... clumsy... in the sense that she stumbles over her own words and seems more on edge when you're around. You might even think you did something wrong to make her act so tense around you. Not at all confident when asking you out, actually you might be the one to ask her first just to get the tension done and over with. She tries her best not to seem rude or put off by you, she's just clamming up is all!

RAGATHA

Similar to Pomni she's a little awkward, but she keeps herself composed much easier. Yoinking the fact that she practices her words before talking to someone and using it here. She hypes herself up before knocking on your door to check in on you. Very attentive to you and your needs, she subconsciously puts your wants/needs above her own... call her out on that because there's going to come a point where it's going to come to her detriment. Makes you things every now and then, cannot accept anything in return but she will try. Asks you out when she feels the time is right, and even if you don't feel the same she tries to move on with the friendship as normal unless you want some space.

JAX

When he's crushing someone he's the type to tease them and lightly bully them. "But Admin, he already does that," You might say. And you wouldn't be wrong. I can see him leaning more into it, though. So if you notice him getting onto you more than he did before.. well you might just assume he's being a jerk. He thinks love is gross, as immature as it sounds. Cooties mentality, so he does what he can to try to smother those feelings. On top of that he hates the idea of being vulnerable, giving him all the more incentive to try to destroy those feelings. Oddly enough, he still tosses pickup lines your way if he notices it gets under your skin. Is it mean? Yes, but let's not forget that Jax IS mean...

KINGER

It's hard to tell when he's crushing on someone simply because he's so... Kinger. But some big signs to let you know that you're on his mind is him hovering around you more and more as time passes. He's already lost his wife and deeply scared that something is going to happen to you. Actually, that fear might push him to tell you how he feels fairly quickly. It's nearly suffocating, and he needs that peace of mind that he can at least tell you how he feels before anything hypothetically happens. Strikes up conversations whenever he can, a lot revolving around his own interests because that's what helps keep him grounded and in the present moment... but he wants to hear you talk to! A bit of a flirt, surprisingly, but he's very polite about it.

ZOOBLE

Its hard to read zooble sometimes, but they make it easy by being forward with you. They come forward when they realize they have feelings for you, and that said feelings aren't just a dud and won't pass easily. Very accepting on whatever you answer, but I can see them needing some space from you if you reject them. It doesn't mean the friendship is over, Zooble just needs time to get those feelings out. Similarly to Jax, they don't like being vulnerable like that. Unlike Jax, they want to get it done and over with sooner rather than later. Not a flirt, but they will become more... noticeably relaxed and open around you. At least by Zooble standards.

GANGLE

Shy.. and awkward... I know I keep saying the girls are awkward, but Gangle is going to give Pomni a run for her money with how much of a mess she becomes. Doodles you a lot, becomes more cagey about her sketchbooks and papers because of this. Follows along with whatever you suggest you two do for the day, and doesn't protest all that much because she wants to make you happy and perhaps even impress you. Definitely fantasizes about some fanfiction-esque scene that leads to the two of you ending up together... it's actually a little... pathetic... and it's unlikely to happen like that, and knowing a certain circus member.. cough cough Jax.. she's probably not going to get the chance to tell you herself on her terms...

LOO

Very straight forward and confident when asking you out, and she takes it with grace if you don't feel the same. Similar to Caine, she gives you special attention! She might even give you some special privileges in her kingdom... definitely gives you some pointers that she's developing some feelings for you. A great listener, wants to know just about everything about you and she's going to let you rant and ramble about anything you want. She responds too, by the way. She doesn't just listen, she keeps the conversation going. Leaves you gifts every now and then!

GUMMIGOO

If this is post... everything... and he was allowed to stay, having a crush on someone so soon actually distresses him a little bit. He's just learned that he's an NPC and everything he knew prior to... everything.. was fake.. it all feels too sudden. The stress translates into frustration, so you may fall under the impression that he's upset with you. He is.. but only a little, for making him feel like this. But a bulk of it is towards himself and his circumstances. If this were any other time or if he didn't have the knowledge he has now, he would be more open and even attempt to flirt and tease you. Sad stuff.

For Pomni, she is just as anxious as you, though while she has started to cope with it a lot better for a few months, she can relate to wanting to escape and get out of the circus just as much. The first few interactions are awkward, but after hanging out with them, and you understand her scenario, you both grow to relatable friends and might look for the exit together while trying to go with the flow of the adventures and curious to hear about her adventures, though won't reveal some Out of Bounds secrets early on so you don't recklessly go looking for it fearing of being Abstracted.

Since Ragatha offered a hand to you, you saw Ragatha as a sort of mother figure, if not that, a really good person to go towards for advice or comfort away from the chaotic scenarios that happen in the Circus. While you have confirmed that you mostly rather be left alone to do your favourite activities, you'd start to panic if anything happens to your close friends, especially to Ragatha and she'd respect your space and boundaries the most, even in a bad mood. If there's something the others don't understand about you, you tell them to Ragatha and passes it on towards others, though might raise a eyebrow on Jax knowing him.

Depending on the type of person you are, you either going to relate to Jax or you're going to hate him. Jax is a snarky jackass that would purposely lead you into danger or screw you over or pull pranks. You'd rightfully call him out and would lose your cool towards him, though if you manage to catch some rare instances that he's depressed or in a low mood, you might be able to strike a conversation with him when the mood is calmer, though he tries to hide it. Jax when the façade breaks would probably speak his frustrations about this place and you'd understand his feelings and probably wanted to hang out with him if the adventures started to get boring and stale and cause a tiny bit of trouble. (Not too much to his extent.) Though you know it doesn't excuse the few times he pranked you and left you panicking and overwhelmed and messing with your pattern and routine with dealing with the Digital Circus.

Gangle is probably a member of the Digital Circus that you'd would probably feel the most empathy for and relates to being the joke of the group. Gangle is the most fragile and emotional of the group and to see someone step up and be there for them would be a mood bringer. You'd would be the most apologetic if you ever broke their comedy mask and would help out in repairing it and probably talk about your hyperfixations and some funny stories to try and cheer Gangle up. Though depending with your relationship with Jax, you'd 100% protect Gangle like their life depends on it, because that's not what friends are for being bullies to each other or respectfully tell him to stop.

Kinger is something that is absolutely hard to crack and understand personality wise and difficult. Being the most paranoid and unpredictable member of the group, you could see themselves as Kinger if Ragatha didn't come to your aid and had to adapt without help. You'd probably be scared about Kinger's absent minded and slow reactions to your presence and be scared of them screaming or wielding a shotgun, though tried to calm him down and be there for them regardless of how you feel about him. Depending on the episode canon by the time of writing this (30th September 2024), it is unknown if Kinger would ever talk about Queenie or even mention about her towards you.

Zooble is the most rude and irritable member of the group, while she might be off to do her own thing and not partake in adventures with a soft side to newcomers, I believe that Zooble might be a member that might take a long time to bond with, but maybe an alternative to Jax and wants to let off some steam if Ragatha isn't available and just say a bunch of censored swears. Though you might feel a bit sad if Zooble told you to !#@? off or insulting you and gives them space. Zooble might believe that next to Kinger, you might be the next member to be abstracted knowing how you're coping with living here, just to break out their persona would try to understand and help you.

Caine is definitely the most uneasy member to hang out with, being the know it all and so forth running the circus. You might call to him to ask any questions or any rules and logic you need to understand living in the digital circus and write it down in notes, though might use that information to Pomni for understanding and finding a way out. While Caine is generally cheerful and willing to help you, you can't help but sense there's something uncanny about him outside of his strange appearance. Just the understanding of the concept of Abstraction sends shivers down your spine despite him telling you not to worry about it too much and motivates you to leave even more. Bubble appearing out of nowhere would startle you and probably pop them without Caine's permission via instinct and habit if they kept interrupting you.

Dang it didn't take long for the requests to come in haha, but yessss I'm eager to write for TADC now!! (just note my hcs/interpretations of the characters will change as more episodes come out).

When you first arrived to the circus not long after Pomni, Caine was worried that you were going to freak out over trying to find an exit (that definitely does NOT exist).

So he just cuts to the chase and states you're stuck here forever. There's no exit doors or hidden portals or secret keys, so you can just give up on returning to your old life altogether.

But you don't look scared in the slightest.

Confused? Yes. Certainly.

However once you've taken in all this information, you just stand there with a smile and a relaxed posture--a display that concerns Caine a lot.

"They seem happy, boss.." Bubble whispers. "Is that a good sign?"

"Not sure. Never seen anybody react this way. Maybe they're just holding it all in and pretending to be fine when they're really no--WOAH, stop the presses!!!" His eyes bulge out of his head/mouth(?) as he sees the tears running down your cheeks. "You're crying more than Gangle does on Tuesday! Is it true that you were masking your emotions????"

"..huh? What..oh no!" You laugh and wipe away the tears, before explaining to the ringmaster that you were indeed very happy.

You spoke of how sad and dull your life was outside of this game.

It was your escape, a comfort, and you've been a huge supporter of its development over the years.

Even in your sleep, you never stopped thinking about it--you always had dreams of being in this very circus, having loads of fun with the other characters and joining their wacky adventures.

So to learn that (somehow) you became a permanent part of the game is literally a dream come true!

Of course, you weren't expecting the presence of the Abstracted and Pomni's constant freakouts, but you couldn't be happier.

Caine was surprised that you remembered so much of your old life (whereas poor Pomni couldn't even recall her own name).

But he sees you're content with starting a new life here in the Digital Circus and grins, eager to plan some exciting fun and games for you to enjoy.

He will, however, make a point to pair you with Pomni so you could help her calm down and show her that being in this virtual world wasn't so bad.

It's probably not the best idea, though, as nothing you say comforts her.

"I mean, your old life could've been really bad and-"

"But what if it was good? What if I had tons of friends and a great family and a successful job and.....oh god..what if I had PETS?!!!" She wails. "Who's gonna take care of them?!!!"

Had she remembered at least one little bad detail from her old life....persuasion would come a lot easier.

But Caine encourages you to keep trying anyways.

★ Omg you love Bubble. Fellow little guy. The bond you have as fellow creatures is unmatched. Not a single thought forms as the two of you munch on apple slices and orange juice. Both of you are on the same level.

★ Caine gives you special privileges to hunker down and ignore everything. Not feeling like existing? It's okay! Just go relax, there's always tomorrow. Needing a minute for yourself happens, Zooble is the same.

★ Sometimes mind go burr and need to walk in circles. Imagine little storys. Great fun. Caine doesn't know what HD's are but apparently you've got 80 of them. Good job!

★ Your a little overstimulated? No problem, there's some weighted blankets in kingers room. And Ragatha has some noise canceling headphones if you need them. Take as long as you need!

★ Jax is an asshole, he will always be an asshole. Even if you got the mighty tism. The worst thing he's done to you is change the blankets on your bed to something that gives you the ick. Love cotton? Haha. You're getting velvet.
