what camera would i theoretically be?
was originally going to go with a plain old gopro, because the gillion tidestrider brainrot is REAL and I wanted to think of something stereotypically youtuber that works as an underwater camera, but then I did some digging and ended up with this instead:

The Olympus OM-D E-M1 II!!!!! A really high quality midrange camera, used for observing underwater creatures pretty often :-) that's you 2 me
#i make yet anothet post just for me 👍#we have mail :]#that red case is just the outer shell for a camera#its not the camera itself. just the protective gear and stabilization track for the cameras underwater#but i picked that case specifically too ^_^

I got a refurb canon rebel t7 as a wedding gift last year and have several good lenses (Tamron something for landscape, and a canon 55-250 mm for zooms) both of which are second hand from camera shops, but I was wondering what exactly do you recommend for a birding setup? Preferably dedicated amateur-friendly, and not national geographic level! Also I'm limited to the t7 for at least a while. The 55-250 is blurry at max zoom but I can get decent pictures with good lighting and a stationary subject and I wonder if better lens will help. Thank you!
Hi! I'm gonna be honest, 85% of my wildlife photos on this blog were taken with my Canon Rebel T6i and a Canon 55-250mm. It is not a professional level lens but it is extremely versatile and was my go-to for years and years. I would highly recommend it as a budget lens for pretty much everything!
I would personally stay away from the Canon 75-300mm. It's a decent lens but you get a lot of distortion and I found the image stabilizer lacking. I used my 55-250mm much more than my 75-300mm.
My current set up is a refurbished Canon 7D, which I really like so far, and a Sigma 150-600mm. You can definitely get better lenses (and better cameras) but for where I'm at in terms of skill, usage, and budget, it's pretty much perfect. I'm really excited to get out more this year now that I have a really solid set up!
#a note that most of my non wildlife photos on this blog are taken with my sony set up#i have only just started using the sigma 150-600 this spring#so most of my photos on this blog were taken with my 55-250 and cropped#im not sure what youre looking for in terms of budget#but most cities have facebook groups for selling and buying used lenses and gear#so take a look there if youre interested!#and a note that the canon rebels with an i at the end (t6i t5i t7i etc)#tend to have much better image stabilization than the ones without an i#if youre mostly photographing at full zoom without a tripod#imo its worth 'downgrading' to a t6i or t5i just because your photos will be less blurry#your mileage may vary of course#ive only used like 4 cameras in my whole life#but im soooooo excited to use my new to me canon and my big lens more#my wildlife tag is#find me where the wild things are#if you want to see some examples

my characterisation of carlos is based off that bbc sports interview from his toro rosso days where his answer to the question "are you better looking than your friends [who are all spanish]" is "i think we're all pretty ugly, the spanish" like why would you say that 😭😭😭
#CARLOS YOUR SELF ESTEEM BACK THEN WAS 🚮#such a typical response from someone who doesn't back themselves#and then he pivots the response to favoring the asker 'not as pretty as the british'#tom's face when he looks into the camera after carlos rags himself and his friends says it all like#can u believe what this guy is saying with a straight face 😭#carlos is so privileged and sheltered rich private school kid#u can take that kid and give him moderate success in his dream career and put him in ferrari n all of that but he still has that dog in him#tying this back to: carlos wanting multi-year contracts/stability as proof that a team wants him and believes in him#bc if his team does then truly he can and SHOULD believe in himself...#but without that contract he's one of many in the ensemble of drivers that get rotated in and out#i'm not deliberately woobifying him btw this is just my take on how different carlos is nowadays vs toro rosso days#and how he's not that different at all#anyway self confidence and self esteem are two different things and you can have plenty of one but not the other

I need to sleep but adult same age mobrei is haunting me again... Reigen applies to Minori’s company in a desperate bid to escape his current job, and by some miracle, actually lands the job. It's much higher class than he's ever had to deal with, but he adapts and survives, as he always has. Maybe... Mob’s and Reigen’s first meeting is by complete chance, out of the office as Reigen smokes a cigarette all by himself in the night. He's having second thoughts, maybe this isn't what he actually wants, he should just quit while he's ahead and use up the money he's saved from both jobs to find something else- maybe even his own office. Reigen can't stop thinking and that's when Mob wanders into his line of sight and his life, snuffing out the cigarette still dangling from his lips with a curious look.
Reigen doesn't realize just who Mob is and ends up talking to Mob for a good long while, the both of them slowly easing into each other the entire time. Mob says that he should give the job more time, to come in the next day, that he's sure he'll find something worth it for him. Reigen doesn't even know it's the end for him already as Mob watches him go, his eyes focusing on his every movement.
Reigen comes in the next day to Minori introducing him to Kageyama Shigeo, the oldest son of the infamous Kageyama family. Mob is already smitten and is absolutely Terrifying looking as he just stands so damn tall over Reigen’s questioning, slight uneased form. Reigen can't even meet Mob's eyes and he thinks that it's so very cute and endearing. Reigen is practically a little piece of sunlight, and Mob decides to keep him close because his kindness, wit, expressiveness, and goodness alone is more than enough to burn the embers of possessiveness alive in his chest. Reigen’s sure he's already made a fool of himself already and that Mob is just being a smug asshole by stringing him along until he finally fires him. Why else does Mob ask for his presence so often? From meetings to everyday work, Reigen is always called at least once or twice per day.
Mob just is so fascinated and endeared by Reigen... and wants to keep him so close and all to himself ^-^ and Reigen is so overwhelmed because this is so much attention that he's never had before. Not only that, but it's Kageyama Shigeo, how can he not be anything but a ridiculous fool around him? It doesn't help that Reigen truly cannot tell if what Mob is thinking, but he always listens whenever Mob calls for him once again...
#mob meets reigen and is instantly captivated by him... and then that turns into endearment. possession. and love#I like to imagine that mob def uses his power and influence to learn everything about reigen and his life#he knows everything that happened in his life. he stalks him whenever he's not at the office. he consumes as much as his time as possible#I wonder if mob would sneak cameras into reigens apartment so that he can keep an eye on him on his days off#...he also wants to make sure that reigen is all alone and lonely. which he very much is. and that makes mob so happy#reigen not even knowing how to ask his fellow coworkers if their boss has ever invited himself to their own apartment#minori def only calls reigen by kageyamas boy at a certain point because mob is damn Attached and obsessive#I wonder if mob would purposely sabotage his apartment in some way or manipulate things so that reigen has to reach out for help#oh my goooddddd- mob calls shou in for a favor. shou fucking burns reigens apartment to the ground.#reigen has nothing. genuinely nothing. and mob rushes onto the scene all worried and comforts reigen#mob says that reigen can be at his place until he's able to get another apartment... but oohhhh all of the other apartments are so expensiv#reigen feels so guilty over intruding on mob like this and he rly doesnt deserve it- but mob just says he can make it up to him#mob clapping to himself because yyaayyyy reigen has nothing else anymore ^-^ he can give reigen anything and everything#just so long as he Stays. and reigen is so so fucking starved for attention. affection. and stability that he falls for it#OKAY GOING TO SLEEP NOW IM SO TIREDDDD

watching supernatural is like if you could watch a television show that removed one medication you took in the morning per episode
#yeah i take mood stabilizers but whats the point if its just going to get destabilized by poor special effects#and the worst sideburns conceived by god or man#and tantalizing queerbait(ish)#and awkward standing around for 30% of an episode#and zooming in on someones distressed face as they pant into the camera and lingering on it uncomfortably long#and dean#supernatural

Capture Every Move with Precision: Why Video Stabilizers, Sports Cameras, and Wireless Lavalier Microphones Are the Ultimate Trio
Content creation today is no longer just a hobby—it's a skill, a career, and often, a full-on lifestyle. Whether you're capturing fast-paced action, filming a documentary, or creating behind-the-scenes vlogs, you know that great video isn’t just about what you shoot—it’s how you shoot it. And for creators who move as much as they film, three tools are reshaping the game: the video stabilizer, the sports camera, and the wireless lavalier microphone.

This trio has become essential for athletes, adventurers, vloggers, and mobile filmmakers alike. Let’s dive into why they matter, how they work together, and what they bring to your content when precision, motion, and crystal-clear audio all need to be captured in one take.
Video Stabilizer: Because Shaky Footage Isn’t a Style
We’ve all been there—you get the shot, the lighting is perfect, but the footage wobbles like it was filmed during an earthquake. Even minor camera shakes can make great content look unprofessional. That’s where the video stabilizer steps in.
Designed to eliminate unwanted movement, video stabilizers use mechanisms (mechanical or motorized) to keep your camera steady as you walk, run, pan, or tilt. Whether it's a handheld gimbal or a mount on your gear, this tool ensures your footage flows smoothly—adding that cinematic feel viewers love.
For sports and outdoor creators, stabilizers aren’t just helpful—they’re essential. Imagine running down a mountain trail or cycling through a city street while keeping the horizon level and the frame focused. Stabilizers make it possible.
Key benefits:
Fluid, shake-free video even during fast motion
Smooth transitions and pans for cinematic quality
Increased control and predictability of each shot
Works with phones, DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, and even action cams
It’s the kind of tool that transforms everyday movement into intentional, high-quality footage.
Sports Camera: Designed to Keep Up With You
Now let’s talk speed. If you’re capturing action, you need gear that’s as fearless and mobile as you are. That’s the entire philosophy behind the sports camera—compact, durable, and built for the extremes.
From surfing and snowboarding to mountain biking and parkour, sports cameras are engineered to handle the elements while still delivering crisp, high-resolution video. They're usually waterproof, shock-resistant, and versatile in mounting options.
The modern sports camera isn’t just a recording device—it’s a storytelling partner. You can mount it to helmets, handlebars, chest rigs, drones, or even pets. And with high frame rates, they capture buttery-smooth slow motion that makes every flip, turn, or landing look epic.
Why creators love it:
Ultra-wide angle lenses to capture immersive views
4K or higher resolutions with excellent frame rates
Rugged design for real-world challenges
Small, unobtrusive, and travel-friendly
Pairing a video stabilizer with a sports camera? That’s how you get action footage that’s not only dynamic, but also polished enough to use in professional edits.
Wireless Lavalier Microphone: The Audio Game-Changer
So you’ve got smooth footage and stunning visuals—but what about the audio? That’s where the wireless lavalier microphone comes into play.
Tiny and easily clipped to your shirt, this mic captures clear, direct sound without picking up all the background noise. Unlike shotgun mics or built-in camera audio, lavaliers follow your voice—even if you move. That makes them perfect for interviews, voiceovers, tutorials, or live vlogging in busy, noisy environments.
The wireless part makes it even better. Without cables tying you to a camera, you get complete freedom to move, perform, or explore while still sounding professional.
What it brings to your workflow:
Consistently clear audio, even from a distance
Minimal setup time—just clip and go
Perfect sync with video from sports cameras or phones
Ideal for creators who talk to the camera on the move
For athletes, fitness instructors, field journalists, and vloggers, it’s the easiest way to sound like you’re recording in a studio—no matter where you are.
The Trio in Action: A Creator’s Toolkit
When you combine these three tools, you unlock a production setup that covers the full spectrum of what makes video content watchable:
The video stabilizer keeps motion smooth and easy on the eyes.
The sports camera ensures you never miss a fast-moving shot, no matter how extreme.
The wireless lavalier microphone guarantees that your voice is heard, loud and clear, no matter where you’re filming.
Together, they deliver a clean, professional look and sound—without requiring a crew or a full production studio.
Final Thoughts: It’s Not About More Gear—It’s About the Right Gear
In the world of content creation, versatility and quality matter more than having the most expensive gear. The combination of a video stabilizer, sports camera, and wireless lavalier microphone proves that with the right tools, you can elevate your content, tell better stories, and engage your audience—whether you’re filming from a mountain ridge, a busy street, or your own backyard.
You don’t need Hollywood budgets to get Hollywood results—you just need a toolkit that moves, records, and speaks with you.
