Mickey (+ a little bit of Landry) headcanons
For most of their life, they had little to no control. They were the type to go along with the abuse to try to make it easier on themself, seething silently and hating the helplessness they felt
Maybe Bailey used to use them for their dirty work (hacking-related stuff), either personally or for Bailey's clients. It was either that or pay rent, and Mickey was such a recluse they would have been doomed if they didn't have this option, as much as they despised it
When they fled from the orphanage, all they could bring was a duffle bag full of belongings, but it's not like they had much anyway. Anything they had to leave behind they either gave to other orphans or disposed of- there's no way they're leaving any trace of themself for Bailey to stumble across
Landry gave them a lot of their current clothes, old hand-me-downs of theirs that were collecting dust (a lot were old band shirts, mainly rock*)
* NGL most of the stuff they gave Mickey was thrifted (or stolen), but some stuff was obtained first-hand! I like to think Landry used to travel a lot before they settled down here (pshhh nahh not cause they were on the run what are you talking about-) so they got to experience a lot of things most of the unlucky schmucks in this town would never get to see
Mickey was never really given the chance to form meaningful connections with others- the ones they did have were other orphans, and as each friend(?) disappeared one by one (because they couldn't meet Bailey's demands or otherwise), they stopped trying. it hurt too much
Unfortunately for them, they formed some kind of attachment to Landry. It's complicated, though. (Parental figure? Friend? Crime version of a coworker? All of the above?) Either way, they care for Landry, and they don't know what to do with these feelings
And PC as well. I think their feelings involving you are a bit less complicated, but, ehh,,, Keyword: a bit.
Cuts their own hair, but not often at all. They mainly care about the bangs, 'cuz they can't stand it when it goes over their eyes, the rest they just put up in a ponytail once it grows long enough. They never go to a hairdresser, but they do eventually trust Landry enough to help cut it for them, but asking for help is a problem in itself.
Used to have glasses a year+ ago, but they broke, and they haven't been able to replace them since. Their eyesight isn't terrible, but it still affects their day-to-day life a lot. (Thankfully their job just requires being close to screens, anyway. So it's not too much of a problem atm)
Always wears socks, they can't stand the feeling of dirt and crumbs getting on their feet, whether at the orphanage or the pub
However, they rarely wear shoes, could be a sensory related issue. Either way, if they do wear shoes, it's mainly Crocs (or whatever knockoff brands there are), and only if they have to go outside
They're asexual + nonbinary
Can NOT sit normally, at all. Sits a lot like L from Death Note. Alternative is criss cross
Has chronic insomnia. Unsure if they've always had it or if it was in relation to trauma, the lines get too blurred, anyway.
When they do sleep, though, it's usually sorta in a closed-off position, with their arms folded against them. Also sleeps in fetal position

okay wuwa first impressions, first ~3 hours or so
the good
combat is fun as expected, LOVE dodging mechanics and the jump attack is surprisingly a lot of fun too. swapping characters is purposeful and fluid and overall the combat so far is super satisfying.
i just pulled a bunch of characters off the gatcha (did not get jiyan........) so i'm gonna have fun seeing whose kit i vibe with, i like that they all come with their own tutorial thing. that being said i definitely think i prefer the melee characters, ranged ones like baizhi don't exactly feel as nice to play. gun characters are very hit and miss so far (pun not intended) like i don't like playing chixia but i REALLY like playing mortefi
also love the echos system, and how its integrated into exploring the open world and actually fighting enemies. i'm gonna have a lot of fun filling out this data bank lol. there's a wolf one i like using during combat
could also just be new environment syndrome but the city feels HUGE. excited to explore around
the bad
as many have already pointed out yeah the optimization in this is not great (i play on laptop for context). it surprisingly seemed to get better for me the more i played/explored. i have a guess it might be caching things in the backend so the issue is primarily with loading in new/haven't seen in a while assets, but even then there is a pretty consistent stutter to the game, particularly the more open world areas. luckily for me not enough to completely turn me off from playing
i think a lot of this is because their "low graphics" setting is like. not low graphics at all lol, its actually just turning certain settings on/off for you. i think being able to tone down the environment detail/the resolution itself would help their optimization a LOT (even though the game is beautiful, i would prefer smoother gameplay than being able to see every blade of grass lol)
another thing i saw people point out was the fourth line of text getting cut off in the subs. definitely annoying since i read faster than the characters talk. i would hope this is an easy thing for kuro games to fix though, and my impression is they're pretty good at responding to player feedback
picking up items seems. weird? in addition to the fact that picking up items causes stutters often (probably asset loading), it also takes a while for the item to actually disappear which does NOT seem to be tied to the lag, but rather is an actual delay, so it really breaks the immersion
auto lock also feels weird especially in multi-enemy combat. i for one will probably not be using it lol
the loading screens take forever. i'm gonna be seeing 65% in my nightmares
the neutral (i'll be honest most of these are kinda leaning bad too ajkfdla)
music is okay, i haven't heard anything special or notable yet
no large opinions on the story as of yet, tbh i've spent more time exploring than doing any story progression asdlkjafs
i like being able to run up walls but the animation itself for it feels very idk. unpolished? in general climbing feels a bit awkward
idk if my eyesight is bad but it's kinda hard to tell which items are interactable/you can pick up. things like chests are also very unassuming but maybe i'm just bad at noticing them right now since i'm just getting used to the environment
environment is quite detailed but tbh i haven't seen anything yet where i've been like WOW but i've also only been in like. 2 areas so far
while i do like the combat, the hit box/range also seems just a bit. off. idk how to describe it might just be a matter of getting used to things ajkdflsf
kind of in line with that the movement feels a bit delayed, like it isn't as snappy as i'd like
overall its not bad but definitely feels like it needs some polish. i agree with people saying it probably should have stayed in beta longer and gone through more QA/optimization testing because some of these things like the cutoff text feel very rookie mistake
all that being said, even though I guess this post is fairly critical/negative I am really enjoying the game for what it is 💕 the bad optimization/lag is definitely it's biggest problem, so I hope it's something kuro games will be able to figure out, if it's not something that improves as the game gets bigger (map/asset wise) that'll definitely be its nail in the coffin

Hi yokan!
Loving the latest chapters of the wolf III and was wondering if we will be getting any more chapters soonish?
If not don’t worry! I don’t want to add any pressure. Take all the time you need
Hi nonnie! Thank you so much, always so happy to know folks are still into the fic ❤️
I had been thinking about posting a ~~life update here, so thanks for asking I guess, cause then it gives me the excuse to do it 😂
I have been super overworked these last few months and that's not something I see changing any time soon. But that doesn't mean that I can't take time to write, just that I have less time to write. But the real problem lately might be the fact I seriously need glasses 🥲 My eyesight had been going from bad to worse over the last couple of months and I finally went to a doctor that confirmed I need glasses. But that was about two weeks ago and I only went to get my glasses made this weekend 😂 Why do anything if you can procrastinate instead? 💁‍♀️ After just a few hours in front of the computer things start to get difficult lol So I can't really sit here for too long, and those hours are usually taken up by work. Just writing this right now I can barely see my screen 😂 It's all just a blurry mess 🥲 HOWEVER.
Even with that minor issue, I have finished the next chapter of TW and also WAHNOLA, just have to edit them now. TW is very long, it's one of the chunky ones 🙃 But NOLA is a shorty. So I should get them done soon, hopefully. And hopefully my glasses will be ready this week and this will cease to be a problem 🙏
Thanks for your message and have a wonderful week!

How did Sheamus react to traumatised daughters glasses? When my brothers cat first saw me with mine she tried swatting them off my face, it was quite funny, but when I take them off and put them down she presses her face into them as if she was trying to wear them, always makes me smile.
And how was reader like adjusting to them, from personal experience, my eyesight gets worse and worse so my perception needs getting stronger every year (my eyes are so bad I have to get tested every year instead of 2) in big jumps and can cause headaches so bad I can’t move and my eyes get sensitive until I’ve adjusted to them and sometimes blinking hurts. How is reader like after getting them? How did she react to seeing Henry and Sheamus properly? Was she happier to see Henry or Sheamus better? Does she have to wear them all the time or is it for reading and watching tv ect? Does she get a frame that fits her aesthetic or are they some ugly granny ones?
Sorry for the load of questions, I can also never get over the fact that Americas call the opticians ‘eye doctors’
Sheamus acts like they aren’t there. He doesn’t really care that she has them.
In the beginning, she’d get headaches and had a pretty bad migraine where Henry had to physically pick her up from the nurse’s office. As she’s gotten used to them, she’s had less challenges— headaches here and there along with strained eyes. (Bruh I have the same issue of needing to go every year— but this year my vision isn’t too bad and tbh I don’t want to plan an appointment because my glasses never fit right and that puff of air- I can’t).
She was a little insecure about wearing them. She took them off the second she and Henry got into the car after picking them up.
It nearly makes her want to cry especially when she could find her dad in a crowd and easily pick him out instead of heading towards some tall dude with dark hair. (Tbh I feel like Sheamus is post-glasses).
Yes, it does make her happier.
It’s supposed to be all the time but at home she takes a massive break from wearing them except to play video games with her dad or when they watch a movie on the flat screen.
I’m leaning towards aesthetic. She finds something she likes that looks good on her— it took two hours let’s be honest here.

Why don't you wear glasses? Your work primarily invloves looking at a screen and you can do permanent damage to your eyes without proper glasses. I'm sure you know all of this so....why?
Another of my old questions.
Glasses impair my ability to focus. I am not very tolerant of things squeezing my head, including glasses of any kind as well as any headwear. I prefer working as efficiently as possible. A small lack of focus can cause cases to take longer, and even a little delay is unacceptable.
I am also not anticipating living until the end of my natural life, so I doubt my eyesight giving out will be an issue.
Thank you for your patience with my answer.

Preparations
Since it is possible this may end up as my only significant social media account, I thought I'd put up a bit of an update.
I have never really used Tumblr in a conventional interactive way (though I do appreciate the likes and reblogs), but more as a place to put my writing.  Mostly that has been serialized superhero speculative fiction--the Doc Future universe--set originally in an alternate near future, now an alternate past. Fall and Call take place in 2013/2014 and Princess in 2012. I also post background bits, commentary, and a few short stories and novelettes (and Princess, currently a novella trying to become a novel.)
In addition to the table of contents pages for Fall and Call, I normally include a 'Next' link at the bottom of every chapter page and a 'Previous' link at the top to make navigation easier, and I have yet to add TOCs for Maker's Ark and Princess because neither is finished.
My Stories page is still up but needs to be updated. I have not tested how much Tumblr's editor has changed since I stopped posting regularly, and I was already using a workaround for tab-delineated paragraphs, so editing older stuff can be an issue 8-)
Many readers believe Fall is a stronger story when starting with the first chapter rather than the prologue, I have come to agree, and the revised version will be restructured to reflect that, so starting with 'Phone Tag' is recommended for new readers.  The issues with Fall caused by learning structure and pacing as I went along and not originally intending to turn it into a novel will remain until I do put out a revised version, either online or as an ebook, but I hope readers can still find the current version enjoyable.
Since there is no table of contents it is no longer easy to find the most recent chapters of Maker's Ark (currently here) or either the start or latest chapter of Princess (here and here), for which I apologize. I have always been better at creative work than maintenance of something that grew to be quite a bit bigger than I expected 8-)
Some bits of continuity are going to change, so if there is a conflict, go with what is written later if this matters to you.  I have been working on revising some of the earlier chapters of Princess which were causing problems later, and those will probably be the first writing I post when I resume.
In the meantime, enjoy what is to your taste, and you can always check back in timeline here for what you missed.  Also a note on format: I starting writing Fall with the intent that the online version be easily read on a full size computer or laptop screen. I understand that many now prefer to read on a phone, tablet, or e-reader, but this is the format I create for. I don't personally use a phone for reading because of eyesight issues, but I hope my writing is still enjoyable for those who do.
I don't yet have a schedule for when I will resume posting, and I don't want to disappoint anyone so I plan to just put things up when they are ready 8-) Edit: Link to latest Maker’s Ark chapter fixed - thanks to the reader that pointed that out 8-)
Take care, all.

How to Write Vision Impairments (from a vision-impaired writer)
In my experience, most books that include a vision impaired character has the character either 100% blind or just impaired enough for their vision to be perfectly corrected with lenses. So, here's some tips from a vision-impaired person.
Blindness and vision impairment is a spectrum.
It's not 100% blind or perfectly corrected with lenses. I'm legally blind, but I'm still able to see a fair bit of stuff and I wear glasses. My glasses don't actually do much in the sense of correcting my vision - instead, they give me depth perception, and my lenses have prisms in them (more on that in a few).
"Legally blind" does not mean fully blind. It's just used as a way to define how much vision loss means you shouldn't and/or can't work, drive, or other things that seeing people can do without thought. In the US, 20/200 with best correction is considered legally blind, which basically means you can see 20 feet of what seeing people can see at 200 feet. It's essentially 10% of working vision.
There's a lot of visual aides!
A lot of people think that the only type of visual aides are screen readers, Braille and the white cane (also known as the "blind cane").
There's actually a lot more visual aides! There's things such as talking clocks, bleedthrough-proof "markers" for boldened writing, boldened lined paper for easier seeing of the lines, large print calendars, amongst other things. I personally use have a backlit, large print keyboard to help me type and I have 2 magnifiers that help me when I have to read regular-print things. If you know Braille, you can also get stickers to put on your keyboard to help you type that way too!
Not every blind person is born blind.
This may seem obvious, but a lot of blind people lose their vision progressively through life. This can be from genetic conditions, or it can be from things like cataracts. Personally, I was born with vision issues, but it's been aggravated by my nystagmus (explanation soon), so I'm slowly but consistently losing my eyesight.
Ways to write blind characters
Like most disabilities, don't make it their entire personality. This doesn't mean don't ever ever mention it, just don't make it something that is constantly talked about or it's the only reason their friends stay with them. If you want a well-written blind character, look at Toph from ATLA. She's blind, yeah, but it isn't her entire character. People's reactions to her is also pretty accurate, especially where her friends would sometimes forget she's blind (I've had this occasionally, even with my spouse - I don't act blind, so people tend to forget about it until a situation where I need aided because I don't make it my entire personality, nor do I harp about it constantly).
Let them have aides other than the "typical" ones. Like I mentioned earlier, there are a ton of aides out there past screen readers, Braille, the white cane or seeing eye dogs.
If the character is in the lower economical classes, there's nonprofits out there that will help you get aides and training. That's how I got my white cane and other aides! And, typically, these nonprofits ask for nothing in return, except that you return the equipment in the case of your vision gets better or you move out of the nonprofit's district.
Don't make it a big deal. Don't make a big scene happen when the character picks up their white cane or grabs their seeing eye dog, or just mentions "hey, I'm kinda blind" (can also say "vision-impaired") "so I can't really see that". Just have the other character be like "oh okay". It's really like that type of exchange in the real world. There's very few instances where someone will be like "yeah right" or "oh I'm so sorry" and begin pitying/babying.
Your character should have a solid, medically explainable reason to their blindness/vision-impairment. This probably sounds pretty obvious, but there's a lot of things that can cause vision loss or legal blindness. I have a nystagmus, which is basically a fancy medical term to say I have uncontrollable eye movements. These movements can be subtle or extremely obvious. Most of my fits are extremely obvious, and I've sat for over 2 hours before with nonstop movement of my eyes. My eyes shake horizontally (left and right), but the eyes can move vertically (up and down) or in a circular path. This can cause severe headaches.
Remember when I mentioned my corrective lenses have prisms in them? This is one technique that doctors may use to try and help lower the activity of a nystagmus. I have 5-7 prisms in my left lens and 7-9 in the right lens (this is actually a really high amount of prisms and my lenses are super thick because of it). Most nystagmus' have a viewpoint called a "null point", in which the nystagmus's activity drastically decreases (it may still be present, but the severity of it lessens). For me, that is the far right gaze (looking out of the corner of your right eye, like you're trying to see to your right but without turning your head), and the prisms in my lenses attempt to force my eyes into the far right gaze even when I'm looking straight.
Most of all, do your research. Nothing is worse than having a character written in a poor manner, and it's obvious when someone doesn't do their research.
I might do this again for some of the other disorders/disabilities I have, but yeaaaa.

Navigating Lazy Eye Treatment, Digital Eye Strain, and Squint Eye Treatment: A Comprehensive Guide
In today’s digital age, our eyes face a barrage of challenges, from constant screen exposure to underlying vision conditions like lazy eye and squints. As adults, we may often neglect these issues, assuming they only affect children. However, the truth is, eye health concerns persist throughout our lives, demanding attention and proper treatment. In this guide, we delve into the realm of lazy eye treatment, digital eye strain, computer vision syndrome (CVS), and squint eye treatment for adults.
Understanding Lazy Eye (Amblyopia)
Lazy eye, medically known as amblyopia, is a condition where one eye develops weaker vision than the other, often due to a lack of proper visual stimulation during childhood. However, contrary to common belief, lazy eye can affect adults too. While lazy eye treatment for adults may be more challenging, it’s not impossible.
Treatment Options for Adults:
Vision Therapy: Through a series of exercises and activities, vision therapy aims to strengthen the weaker eye and improve coordination between both eyes.
Use of Corrective Lenses: Prescription glasses or contact lenses can help correct refractive errors and alleviate the strain on the weaker eye.
Eye Patching: Similar to its use in children, wearing an eye patch over the stronger eye can encourage the lazy eye to work harder, improving its visual acuity over time.
Combatting Digital Eye Strain and Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS)
With the proliferation of digital devices in our daily lives, digital eye strain and CVS have become prevalent issues among adults. Prolonged screen time can lead to symptoms such as eye strain, headaches, blurred vision, and dry eyes.
Strategies to Alleviate Digital Eye Strain:
Follow the 20–20–20 Rule: Take a 20-second break every 20 minutes and look at something 20 feet away to reduce eye fatigue.
Adjust Display Settings: Optimize screen brightness, contrast, and font size to reduce strain on your eyes.
Use Blue Light Filters: Invest in blue light blocking glasses or use software to filter out harmful blue light emitted by screens.
Proper Ergonomics: Maintain a comfortable viewing distance from your screen and ensure proper posture to minimize strain on your neck and eyes.
Seeking Squint Eye Treatment
A squint, also known as strabismus, is a condition characterized by misalignment of the eyes, where one eye may turn inwards, outwards, upwards, or downwards. Squints can occur in adulthood due to various factors, including underlying health conditions or neurological issues.
Treatment Approaches for Squints:
Corrective Lenses: Prescription glasses or contact lenses may help manage certain types of squints, particularly those caused by refractive errors.
Botulinum Toxin Injections: In cases of muscle imbalance, injections of botulinum toxin (Botox) can temporarily weaken specific eye muscles, allowing the eyes to realign.
Surgery: Surgical intervention may be necessary to correct severe or persistent squints. The procedure aims to adjust the length or position of the eye muscles to achieve proper alignment.
Conclusion
In the realm of eye health, proactive care and timely treatment are paramount, regardless of age. Whether you’re grappling with lazy eye, digital eye strain, or a squint eye treatment, seeking professional guidance from an optometrist or ophthalmologist is essential. By incorporating lifestyle adjustments, therapeutic interventions, and, if needed, medical procedures, you can safeguard your vision and maintain optimal eye health for years to come. Remember, your eyesight is a precious gift worth preserving.

Clear Vision: Top 3 Optical Stores in Bhubaneswar
Vision is one of our most valuable senses,  yet it is frequently disregarded until problems arise. More than 2.2 million people have a visual impairment of some kind, and surprisingly around 80% of these situations may be avoided or managed. The importance of maintaining good eye health for both our general health and daily functioning becomes evident. Due to digitalization and long work hours, there has been a sharp increase in the number of persons experiencing eye issues. As Bhubaneswar is an emerging city, the growth of digitalization is also happening, and the work hours and screen timing are also increasing. Due to many lifestyle changes, the proper diet of food and many other factors are also there which lead to eyesight problems.
Tumblr media
Here is a list of suggestions that will help people for having or improving eyesight:
Right food habit
Adopting healthy eating habits isn't just about feeding our appetite, rather it is also about fueling our eyes so that the world appears sharper and clearer. Including the right food habits that will clear vision and improve eyesight is essential for maintaining a good and healthy lifestyle. For better vision, eating a variety of nutrient-rich meals can help keep your eyes in the best possible condition.
Reduction of Screen Time
Reducing screen time doesn't mean going without using it rather, it means striking a balance and giving our eyes a break that they need. Screen time reduction can be put into practice by establishing clear guidelines, taking regular breaks from screens, and doing non-screen-related activities like reading books or going outside. It’s necessary to reduce the periods spent staring at screens can strain the eyes, which can hurt and cause long-term damage.
Exercise your eyes
Particularly in the digital age we live in today, where we spend so much time staring at displays, eye exercise can help preserve and improve vision. In every 20 minutes, take a 20-second break and focus on something 20 feet away. This lessens strain and aids in the relaxation of the eye muscles.
Get enough sleep
Getting enough sleep is essential for preserving the best possible health of the eyes because it gives the eyes the time they need to relax and regenerate. The eye strain from extended screen time and other daily activities can be repaired while you sleep. Lack of sleep can exacerbate pre-existing conditions involving the eyes and could cause long-term harm by increasing eye strain, weariness, and dryness.

What Parents Need to Know about Digital Eye Strain in Children
It has been reported that nowadays, children spend more time before screens than before, which causes parents more problems. The internet has made their lessons accessible through the web and homework, and so has the internet, which has become a part of children’s lives.
Conversely, they enjoy playing games online and interact with friends through social media. The technological advantages of this gadget are abundant, but remember, it also has the power to cause harm to the eyes of our children. Eye strains are one of the most common symptoms of visual disorders that include discomfort, vision issues as well as the development of more serious eye-related problems. As a parent, you must be aware and knowledgeable about the symptoms of digital eye strain, and finally, you must implement measures to ensure your child has good vision.
Tumblr media
Understanding Digital Eye Strain
Digital eye strain is a disease that is becoming more common. It occurs when your eyes get strained from prolonged use of digital devices. If you’re looking for something for a long time, especially anything with screens like phones or laptops, your eyes find it difficult to focus, leading to strain and discomfort.
Some common symptoms of digital eye strain include:
Headaches
Blurred vision
Dry, itchy, or burning eyes
Neck and shoulder pain
Sensitivity to light
Preventing Digital Eye Strain in Children
Follow the steps listed here to prevent digital eye strain in your children:
Encourage regular breaks: For this, you can follow the 20-20-20 rule. Ask your child to take a break after 20 minutes for at least 20 minutes and look at anything 20 feet away.
Adjust screen settings: Ensure the screen is visible and it is slightly below the level of a child’s eyes. This is the best eye level for a child. To cut the glare and eye strain, turn down the screen’s brightness and contrast.
Promote good posture: Remind your child to use the right posture when he/she is on digital devices such as tablets or computers. This will prevent the neck and shoulders from straining.
Limit screen time: Put strict restrictions on your child’s screen time. Follow this specially before bedtime, as it stresses the Child’s eye.
Importance of Regular Eye Check-ups
Besides taking preventive measures at home, organizing eye checkups for your kid is imperative. An eye care professional can examine your child’s eyes, diagnose any vision problems, and give tips on how to deal with digital eye fatigue.
Tumblr media
During a routine eye exam, in addition to the usual prescription, the optometrist may also suggest foods that help improve eyesight, such as those rich in Vitamins A, C, and E and omega-3 fatty acids. These nutrients should be part and parcel of your kid’s diet and help with overall eye health.
Conclusion
Symptoms of digital eye strain is the primary factor that has brought about children ‘s health problems nowadays due to the fast-paced technological development of our world. While helping your child’s eyes get healthy, do not forget to check their eyes with regular eye exams. This will establish that the eyes are healthy and that the visual acuity is strong. Vision Wellness: Navigating Common Eye Challenges in the Digital Era
In our digital age, where screens dominate our daily lives, our eyes often bear the brunt of constant strain and stress. From the common “lazy eye” to more modern concerns like digital eye strain and computer vision syndrome, our eyes face various challenges. However, with the right knowledge and treatment, these conditions can be managed effectively, ensuring optimal eye health and vision clarity for years to come.
Lazy Eye Treatment:
Lazy eye, clinically known as amblyopia, is a condition where one eye has reduced vision due to abnormal visual development in childhood. While traditionally believed to be treatable only during childhood, recent advancements have shown promise in treating lazy eye in adults. Lazy eye treatment typically involves a combination of vision therapy, eye exercises, and sometimes the use of eyeglasses or contact lenses to correct refractive errors. In severe cases, surgery may be recommended to realign the eyes or remove obstructions to vision.
Lazy Eye Treatment for Adults:
Contrary to popular belief, lazy eye treatment isn’t limited to childhood. Adults with amblyopia can still benefit from various interventions to improve their vision. Vision therapy, which involves a series of exercises and activities designed to strengthen the weaker eye and improve visual acuity, is often recommended. Additionally, using lazy eye treatment for adults like patching or occlusion therapy, where the stronger eye is temporarily covered to encourage the weaker eye to work harder, can yield positive results.
Digital Eye Strain and Computer Vision Syndrome:
With the increasing use of digital devices such as computers, smartphones, and tablets, digital eye strain and computer vision syndrome have become prevalent issues. Symptoms include eye strain, headaches, blurred vision, and dry eyes, among others. Managing these conditions involves a combination of ergonomic adjustments, such as proper lighting and screen positioning, taking regular breaks, and practicing the 20–20–20 rule (taking a 20-second break every 20 minutes to look at something 20 feet away). Additionally, specialized computer glasses with anti-reflective coatings can help reduce glare and minimize eye strain.
Squint Eye Treatment:
Squint, also known as strabismus, is a condition characterized by the misalignment of the eyes. Squint eye treatment depends on the underlying cause and severity of the squint but may include corrective eyewear, vision therapy, and in some cases, surgery to realign the muscles that control eye movement. Early intervention is crucial to prevent complications such as double vision and depth perception issues.
Conclusion:
In today’s digital age, maintaining good eye health is more important than ever. Whether it’s addressing age-old conditions like lazy eye or tackling modern-day concerns like digital eye strain, there are various treatments and strategies available to preserve and improve vision. By understanding these common eye conditions and seeking timely intervention from eye care professionals, we can safeguard our eyesight and enjoy clear, comfortable vision for years to come.

Eye Care - What You Need To Know
A good eye care routine should play a very important role in everyone's life. Without a good set of eyes, you end up missing out on so much life has to offer. If you're lucky enough to be blessed with good eyesight, don't take it for granted. Follow a proper eye care routine with the great tips in the article below. Eat your vegetables. Living a healthy life is all about eating the right foods and avoiding the bad ones. Leafy green vegetables are packed full of Vitamin A and Vitamin E, which are very useful vitamins that help the body preform many of its necessary functions, such as repairing and replacing dead skin cells, thus preventing wrinkles and fine lines. When selecting an eye care professional, do not skimp when it comes to doing your homework on each prospective doctor's qualifications. Check their educational background, certifications and licensure to ensure that everything is as represented. Doing these things will help you feel confident when it comes to entrusting the health of your eyes to someone new. Avoid frequent eye strain, for the long-term health of your eyes. While the occasional squinting isn't going to do much harm, if you're doing it on a daily basis, your vision could be in danger. Experts recommend getting an exam to determine if your strain is due to needing glasses and to otherwise go easy on your eyes. Keep your eyes protected when dealing with hazardous situations. In certain types of unclean or hazardous environments, you should keep your eyes protected by wearing safety goggles. These also include certain sports. Activities like lacrosse, ice hockey, or racquetball can cause eye injuries, which is why you should wear helmets that have built-in face masks or sports goggles. Northridge . Sunglasses are great when it comes to protecting your eyes from the sun, but when you're on the job and need to protect your eyes from sawdust, debris, or sand make sure you wear tougher eye gear than just a pare of goggles. Goggles are a must-have for anyone working in these kinds of environments. Avoid glare when possible, including that from your electronic devices. Glare is a concentration of bright light, so you know it is not good for your eyes. If you are using your device where glare is an issue, you should purchase an anti-glare screen protector for your laptop, phone or tablet. Avoid looking at your computer screen for too long. Take a break every half hour to give your eyes a rest from the strain. Staring at your computer can cause dry eye because you do not blink as often, so make an effort to blink every 30 seconds while you are at your computer. Saline solution should always be kept available at home. Also, always wear Northridge when you are at work. Many people do not wear eye protection while cleaning their home. If a cleaning agent gets into your eye through splashing, you're going to want to have that saline solution at the ready. If you wear contacts, make sure you take care of them properly. They carry a greater risk of causing eye issues because they sit directly on your eyes. Make sure to clean them properly daily. Make sure your hands are clean, and that you are using a contact solution that is not expired. Never clean them by putting them in your mouth. Make sure to consume copious amounts of Vitamin A during the course of the day. Vitamin A is great for helping to reduce the inflammation and irritation that you may feel, which can cause dryness. Foods that have high sources of this vitamin include carrots, chicken, potatoes, spinach and sweet potatoes. Be careful with computer use. If you use a computer a lot, you could be damaging your eyes. Make sure that you take a break from looking at the screen every half-hour. You can also be sure to position yourself so that you are looking down to see the monitor. These simple steps will help preserve your eyes. After reading the above article, taking care of your eyes should be a top priority. You realize most of the things in life are accomplished with your eyes, so why not take advantage of this very special gift. Use the tips in the above article to ensure that you have good eyesight for the rest of your life.

Must-Have Eye Care Tips And Tricks For Everyone
Are you worried about your eyesight? Perhaps in light of recent events, you have a reason to be concerned. No matter where you are in life, proper eye care is essential. Follow along so that you can learn some great advice on how to properly care for your eyes as you get older. If you are in the market for a new pair of glasses, you can often find cheap yet stylish frames online. Some places even offer a pair free or discounted if you are a new customer. All you need is your vision acuity number that you receive from having an eye test performed. Sunglasses are important in the summer, but they're just as crucial in the winter. This is because snow reflects a great deal of light. Even the clouds are out, the sun's rays are out and can be harmful to your eyes. Keep your eyes protected from the sun. You should wear quality sunglasses to protect them from UV rays. If your eyes are frequently exposed to UVB rays, your risks for macular degeneration and cataracts increase. Try picking a pair of sunglasses that block between 99 and 100 percent of UVB and UVA rays. Don't stare at the computer screen too long. You can end up with issues like eyestrain, blurriness, headaches, dry eyes, and decreased distance focus. Try taking breaks every 20 minutes or so by looking 20 feet away from the screen for about 20 seconds. This can help you rest and re-focus your eyes to reduce or prevent those eye issues. Don't strain the eyes for too long. When you strain your vision and focus on something, such as a computer or television screen, you typically forget to blink as much as you should. When you don't blink enough, it means your eyes are getting the lubrication they need, which can lead to more serious problems. Get healthy today. There are a lot of different aspects behind "getting healthy" and they all have a direct relation to the health of your eyes. Eating healthy will provide your eyes and the skin around your eyes with the vitamins they need. Exercising will increase blood flow and lower pressure around the eyes. Visit a vision specialist at least once a year for a comprehensive exam. Even if you can see fine, there may be issues going on. If left undetected, some of them can create huge problems down the line. Properly treated, you may be able to avoid vision challenges that were headed your way. Be sure to not only get your vision checked every year, but have a comprehensive exam. This often includes other tests which peer inside the eye to check for conditions such as glaucoma or even diabetes. The sooner you catch these issues, the easier it will be to treat them. Always take out your contact lenses before you sleep. Contact lenses that are left inside the eyes for too long will harbor bacteria growth. You should remove your contact lenses every night and disinfect them properly. Failing to do so will just set you up for more frequent eye infections. To diminish puffy eyes, use slices of raw potato. Cut the potato into half circles and place over your closed eyes. If you prefer, you can grate the potato and place in some Muslin cloth, then squeeze excess liquid out and place on closed eyes. Leave either on for 15-20 minutes for best effect. Quit smoking to keep your eyes healthy. Smoking boosts the chances of getting macular degeneration, optic nerve damage, and cataracts. If you have tried to stop before but have restarted, start again. The more you try to stop smoking, the more likely you are to be successful. No doubt your body is going to fall apart as it ages. Therefore, Eye Doctor is of the essence that you take necessary steps to ensure you take good care of your body, eyes included. The information presented to you should be sufficient for you to get a good start with proper eye care.
