why does my fic have only one published chapter how can it have more without me actually having to do anything. please.

#insert talk tag here #chapter 2 is getting fairly close to done it’s just at the point where i’m like sobbing and crying abt how close and yet how far it is #this fic is ending up having long chapters too like i was not expecting ch2 to be as long as it’s shaping up to be. like it’s not THAT long #but also idk it’s very much a chiller chapter? chapter i did not originally plan for and then added to slow the pacing a bit and develop #the intrigue a bit more? it’s a connecting chapter. lots of smaller scenes. idk #for a bit more than a year there i just wasn’t writing anything w/ substantial length like at all. so it’s nice. wish it didn’t take so long

ok it's rly stupid but discacc chapter 42 felt so weird writing not for anything in the chapter but bc i wrote it outside of my normal active chapter document. for the most part. LIKE i have this one document that i use for writing all my discacc chapters and HAVE since like way way way early on. like since chapter 2 ish early on? bc things were getting too long it was freaking out the doc & also it's easier to copy-paste new chapters into ao3 if i just have that chapter there. so i have my main fic thing (well, multiple, since discacc is too long to fit into one document lmfaoo) & then i write new chapters in this active chapter doc & then copy paste them into the main thing once im done

EXCEPT

so 42 was originally a part of 41. it was all gonna be chapter 41. and i wrote like 4.6k words of it in active document with chapter 41. then decided it was gonna be its own thing, so i just plopped that bit into its own document to cut it from the active chapter doc. but then. when it came time to continue it in chapter 42. i just. didnt move it back to the active chapter document. i just kept writing in separate document '42'.

and idk there's just smth that feels so WEIRD about that. like it wasn't a normal discacc chapter or smth. which is kinda stupid but idk. like i couldve moved it back over at any point. but i didnt. bc i was already there

anyways im looking forward to writing again in "DA active chapter" doc aka the RIGHT doc for discacc writing. thank you very much

Guess who’s back!! I know it’s been a bit— starting uni has been uh . hard but yknow fish yaoi persists. This chapters been stewing for awhile, so I’ve added some detail ramblings/clarifications below :D

The poster seen in the first panel was actually designed/painted by pearl. The background characters are mostly twt oomfs cause I didn’t wanna draw just boring silhouetted people. Also, etho didn’t genuinely believe bdubs would get fired because of etho being boring (although the idea did stun him momentarily), bdubs was just poking fun at him and etho was pleasantly surprised enough by bdubs snapping back he went along with the suggestion. Originally he thought of this as helping himself but seeing bdubs happy affected him more then he’d like to admit. The whole point of the chapter was really just the classic “oh… oh” moment :D p.s. don’t question how he’s blushing while being cold-blooded shhh

Next chapter will be them talking more i’m sorry to any action or horror enjoyers, hopefully it’ll be out faster then this one was 👍 and tysm to everyone who’s been supportive it means a lot :]
