Happy Audio Drama Sunday! I've had a nice bit of time for listening this week so have been catching up on some favourites and new-to-mes!
First up, I finally caught up on @thesiltverses after dropping off for a couple of weeks and oh God this show simply continues to do it like nobody else. And I'm not just saying that because I'm in this week's ep (though I am, and doing rather marvellously if I say so myself. Nobody ever found so many different ways to say, "High Prophet!" 😉😂)
I also blasted through @redvalleypod, which I can't believe I didn't get round to before. Made me laugh out loud, often several times per episode, with brilliant moments of depth and darkness. Also got jumpscared by my cousin showing up at one point playing a side character 😅
Still working my way through @theheartpyre, which remains enormously good fun. If you like the CYOA elements of Travelling Light, THP are doing it on hard mode with a vote every episode 🤩 The characters are fab and I love how the world is unfolding as I listen!
As I mentioned in the intro this week's ep, I've also been working through Chaika's back catalogue, from @y2kpod. It's such a gorgeous show! 😍 Also, if you read our annotated scripts you know I'm a sucker for etymology, and the language stuff in Chaika is 😘👌
Finally, I've also been dabbling in some non-fiction podding with ADWIT (The Audio Drama Writers' Independent Toolkit), which shares tips and insights on writing for audio fiction! Only just started listening but already having a great time 💕 Don't think they're on Tumblr but please tag them if I'm mistaken!
How about you lot - what's been catching your ears this week? Any recs? Let me know!
Still currently one of the pieces I'm most proud of <3 I have a lot of uploading to do here to catch up to my other socials. Let me know what you'd like to see more of! I'm always up for anime and video game character suggestions <3
Do not repost/edit/etc without my permission. Thanks!
Umm so a while ago I started listening to a weird show I vaguely remeber called chaika, I remeber it being far to depressing to getthrough more than a couple episodes before I stopped but I've just found it again so urmm, wish me luck ig

Brief Audiodrama Sunday! As I have mostly been binging @thenightpost. Forever worried about the little pigeon folks.
I binged Chaika (https://y2kpod.com/chaika-listen/) on the suggestion of Audiodrama Raid. As I have said before, love being taught Nordic vocabulary for cosiness whilst also being emotionally devastated by the plot. The adorable friendlyness of the AIs somehow makes the loneliness of the MC more poignant. Someone write me a fanfic where Hygge, Trost, Lequ and Hera from Wolf 359 all compete in Bake Off or solve crime in a cosy village or something.
Also caught up on @hellofromthehallowoods - Jonah and Hector are back and making me cry again. Love a Parkdale Haunt cameo too, nice to know the Canadian Trauma Podcast Collective are still working collaboratively to make us sad about things.
I'm doing an eels live show next Saturday and I'm ABSOLUTELY FINE ABOUT IT MHM YEP DEFINITELY anyway….Have a VERY SPOOKY WEEK WOOOOOOO
It's audio fiction Sunday! This week's listening included the brilliant season finale of @doyoucopypod, a fascinating and horrifying episode of @thesiltverses, and several podcasts returning with exciting season premieres!
