ACottonSock's Sims 4 Mods Masterlist
Tumblr media
I'm not well versed with The Sims 4, but after my recent video where I mentioned revisiting it after many years (like we're talking 2015/16), a few viewers asked me to put together my mods list because they want to enjoy Sims 4 too and had no idea where to start.
Last Updated: 12/17/24 - swapped out default eyes for the 'Atmospheric Eyes'. Added 'Auto Check Toddler & Infants Tweaks' by LittleMsSam.
Click "keep reading" to see the entire compiled list!
CAS and Default Replacements
Body Hair Replacement (Luumia Edition): Replaces EA's terrible body hair textures with Luumia's textures.
Default Replacement Cutlery: Replaces the EA fork and spoon textures with nicer ones.
CAS Room - Plant Lover: Really pretty CAS background room.
Atmospheric Eyes: Default replacement eyes.
Remove EA Lashes: Removes EA's chunky eyelashes so I can overlay my pretty ones.
Cumulus Clouds: Overrides the default clouds in the sky to be a lot high texture and prettier. I use 'Alfsi_clouds_cumulus02_mesh'.
Cherry Tree Override: Replaces the default cherry tree to a better texture.
Luumia's Body Hair: Body hair that appears in the 'tattoo' category. Looks very realistic.
Luumia's Vanilla Skin Default: A nice smooth default replacement skin.
Popcorn Ceiling Default: Changes the ceiling texture to be the classic popcorn ceiling.
Stand Still in CAS: Stops the stupid animations when Sims fidget around in CAS.
More Columns in CAS (4 columns ver.): Adds more columns in the CAS catalogue.
CAS Modifiers Bugfix: Supposedly fixes the receding chin issue that appears when Sims age up in CAS.
Gameplay Mods
MC Command Center: Adds greater control to your Sims 4 game experience and NPC story progression options.
MC Woohoo: Allows various common Woohoo options to be available as settings.
Small Vegetarian Overhaul: "Vegetarian" no longer has to take up a personality slot in Create a Sim. Your sims can have all three of their precious personality traits and still be a vegetarian if they want to be.
Enlist in War: Adds a new self-interaction to Sims to allow them to enlist in a war.
More Layoffs: Increases the chance of a layoff happening to your Sim.
More Names Variety (+Expanded Random Names): If your sims visit Sulani, San Myshuno and Mt. Komorebi often, the game will generate sims to populate festivals, streets and to take part in activities. These townies do not get their names from the same list you have in CAS (randomized) but have separate lists of culturally appropriate names. These lists are short (some only 10 names long) and you may have noticed some repetition or have grown tired of seeing the same names over and over again.
Better Elders Mod: Adds new social interactions, social events, and gameplay options for elders.
Dental Care: Sims can get cavities, have bad breath, need and receive braces, toddlers can teeth and teens can have wisdom teeth extracted.
Divergent Sims: Focuses on neurodiversity, self-esteem, mental health, addiction, evaluation, and treatments. This includes a detailed variety of 25 anxiety, developmental, learning, mood, neurological, personality, body, eating, and mental health conditions affecting infants to elders as well as 4 addictions affecting young adults and older.
Eye Care: Adds basic eye care to your game. Regular eye exams, contacts, and eyeglasses can help identify and then mitigate these issues. Laser Eye Surgery is also an option for some conditions.
Career Day Overhaul: Adds many new features to the existing in-game events. (REQUIRES: High School Years and XML Injector)
Magic School: Adds a magic school like Hogwarts! (REQUIRES: XML Injector)

My contribution to the "Early 2000s horror video game female protagonist" trend that's been circling around because of this new MC outfit featuring my MC and Caleb Xia 🫣
(HEADCANON BELOW!)

Tumblr media
It was supposed to be a peaceful retreat.
The mountain air was crisp, the scent of pine thick in the air, and the old retreat house—though creaky and outdated—offered a quiet escape from the chaos of school life.
Your first trip out of town with Caleb since you both became class representatives for your respective year levels—though in truth, you’d known each other for years. Since childhood, he’d always been a constant in your life. The boy who pulled your pigtails, the teen who scolded you for skipping meals during exam season, the young man who still called you Pipsqueak even though he now towered over you.
You’d hoped this trip would be something simple. Maybe a chance to share late-night stories, tease each other over campfire snacks, or even sneak in a quiet moment under the stars.
But none of that happened.
Not after a group of students broke open the sealed door in the basement of the retreat house.
And certainly not after the first scream echoed through the halls.
You searched for him the moment the chaos began—feet carrying you on instinct. You knew where he’d be, just like you always did. You knew you’d feel safe the moment you saw him.
And you did.
"Ca—Caleb," you panted, tugging at his shirt as you found him near the common hall, his brows furrowed as he stared down at his cellphone. “There’s no signal—none of the calls are going through—”
He didn’t even look up. “I already tried three different numbers. It’s the elevation, Pipsqueak. Nothing’s getting out from here.”
But then he noticed your trembling hand. And your face.
"Hey…what's gotten into you?" he asked, voice softer now, concern creeping into his tone.
You opened your mouth to speak—but something behind him made you freeze.
"Caleb," you whispered again, but this time your voice cracked. You didn’t even need to say more.
He turned—and saw it.
A student was staggering toward you, his steps jerky and unnatural. His head twitched at odd angles, and his body was drenched in sweat and a strange violet glow. His eyes weren’t on Caleb. They were locked solely on you.
"...such strong life force…" the student muttered under his breath. "Must consume her…"
"Shit," Caleb hissed, grabbing your wrist and pulling you behind him in a swift motion. “Come on.”
You had no choice but to be dragged by him.
And it was just like when you were kids—when he’d pull you away from trouble, ducking under fences, leaping puddles, racing ahead with your fingers clinging to his sleeve.
But this wasn’t some childish adventure.
This was real.
And people were changing—students, friends—turning into husks with blackened veins and crystal growths erupting from their skin. The hallway ahead shimmered with chaos. Furniture overturned. Doors slamming open. Screams blend into silence.
You couldn’t hold back your sob anymore. “What was he saying, Caleb? What’s happening?!”
“I don’t know yet—just breathe, alright? Stay with me,” he said, squeezing your hand tighter. “We’ll figure it out.”
But deep down, you could see it in his face. He did know. Or at least, he was starting to put the pieces together.
A plaque caught his eye as you passed by it in the retreat house lobby, something half-familiar from when he’d studied the site’s history for a class report.
“Bloomshore Sanatorium,” he murmured aloud.
“What?” you gasped between heavy breaths.
“This place—it used to be an asylum.” His tone turned grim. “For patients infected with Protocore Syndrome. It was shut down decades ago after reports of unethical treatment.”
You blinked at him in horror. “But the school turned it into a retreat center…”
“No. They renovated it. But they didn’t clear everything out.”
He kept moving, now dragging you with more urgency. “The basement wasn’t just a storage room—it was where they locked the patients away. Left them to die. All that metaflux—the energy—it’s been festering down there for years. That door the students opened…it wasn’t just sealed, it was a containment barrier.”
You stumbled behind him, heart pounding. “But why are they coming after me?!”
Caleb slowed just enough to look back at you.
His jaw clenched. “Because of your Aether Core.”
Your blood ran cold.
"You’ve always been different, you know? Special." He looked away for a second. "I think…I think whatever's down there sensed it. You’re a beacon. A flame in a place that only knows darkness."
You could barely breathe. But his hand, still holding yours, grounded you.
“I’ll get you out of here,” he said fiercely. “You hear me? I don’t care how many possessed freaks I have to fight. I’ll drag you through this whole damn mountain if I have to.”
You nodded, and that was all he needed.
He activated his Evol again—his eyes glowing faintly as objects shifted around him. Gravity pulsed with each movement, clearing blocked doors and crushing anything that lunged in your path.
You felt the pressure in the air change, the world bending slightly around his will as you moved forward—together.
But deep down, you couldn’t shake the feeling that this retreat had become something else entirely.
Not just a nightmare.
Not just a haunting.
But a reckoning.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The narrow trail leading to the teachers' quarters wound up a slope just behind the retreat house. The forest around you was dense, thick with the scent of pine and moss, the moonlight casting long, eerie shadows between the trees.
Caleb still had his Evol active, subtly manipulating gravity to ease your path—shifting branches aside, steadying the uneven ground under your feet, and even keeping a low, protective field around you both in case anything… followed.
You’d been walking in silence for a while, the air heavy not just from exhaustion, but from everything left unsaid.
Your fingers were still laced in his. You’d never seen him like this before—so protective, so tense, so unreadable. But now that the adrenaline was ebbing away, you noticed the strain in his shoulders, the sharpness in his breathing, the barely-there tremble in his hand.
“Caleb…” you murmured gently.
He didn’t look at you at first, but his grip tightened a little.
“You okay?” you asked.
A beat passed. Then another.
He let out a breath, low and uneven. “I should be asking you that.”
“You have been asking me that,” you said softly, a wry smile trying to tug at your lips. “But you haven’t answered even once when I ask back.”
He finally stopped walking, turning to you slowly. His expression was taut—caught somewhere between guilt and something more fragile.
“You scared me back there,” he admitted quietly. “I’ve… I’ve never felt fear like that before.”
You blinked, surprised at the rawness in his voice.
“I thought I was going to lose you,” he said, softer now. “And the worst part? I didn’t even know how to tell you what that would mean.”
You stood still, your heart hammering again—but for an entirely different reason now.
“Caleb…”
He looked away briefly, then back at you. “I know I joke around. I tease. I call you Pipsqueak and act like I’m always in control, but…” He hesitated, voice low. “I’m not.”
The words tumbled out, unsteady.
“I’m not in control when you look at me like that. I’m not in control when I hear your laugh, or when you fall asleep during study nights and I end up watching you longer than I should. I’m not in control when you reach for me like I’m the only person who can keep you safe. And I’m definitely not in control when I see people—things—trying to hurt you.”
You stepped closer, breath caught in your throat.
“I’ve loved you for so damn long I don’t even remember when it started,” he said, voice raw. “Maybe it was the first time you called me out for being too cocky. Or when you stitched up my hand after an injury from basketball. Or maybe it was just…always there, waiting for me to figure it out.”
You felt your eyes burn again, but this time, not from fear.
“You idiot,” you whispered.
His brows furrowed. “Hey—”
You rose on your toes and kissed his cheek, lingering longer than necessary. “I’ve loved you too.”
His eyes widened slightly—just for a second—and then softened.
Silence fell between you again, but it was a different kind of silence now. Warm. Full. Charged with something deeper than fear or survival.
“I was planning to confess properly,” he muttered under his breath, a faint blush coloring his ears. “Maybe during the bonfire. You know…less murderous wanderer classmates, more marshmallows.”
You laughed—a soft, tired sound that still made his chest tighten.
“Well,” you said, nudging his shoulder, “we can still have marshmallows after we survive this.”
He chuckled, then looked forward again. “Damn right we will.”
Together, you resumed the trek toward the teachers’ quarters—this time with your hands still intertwined and hearts a little lighter, even with shadows still trailing behind.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The moon had dipped further beneath the mountains, the path dimming into twilight. You were both nearing the final ridge that led to the teachers' quarters when Caleb suddenly halted.
His grip tightened on your wrist.
You followed his line of sight and gasped—a student stood several paces away, slouched, eyes pitch black with veins crawling like webs under translucent skin. His body twitched unnaturally, movements jerky and unpredictable.
It was Adam—from the third-year class.
“Adam?” you breathed. But he didn’t respond.
Caleb’s hand began to rise, Evol shimmering subtly in the air. “Back away slowly,” he murmured to you.
But it was already too late.
Adam lunged forward with unnatural speed, mouth whispering an eerie chant—something primal, hungry. You barely had a second to react before Caleb shoved you behind him. But Adam’s attack didn’t land on him.
It landed on you.
You felt a searing pain slash across your side as you pushed Caleb out of the way, taking the brunt of the attack. The world spun, pain radiating from your ribs as you dropped to your knees.
“No—!” Caleb’s scream cracked the air.
His Evol surged, more violent than you'd ever seen it. The gravity field snapped, slamming Adam against a tree with bone-crunching force. Again. And again. And again.
The air pulsed with power, thick and suffocating.
But Caleb stopped before delivering a fatal blow. His hands trembled as he stared at the bleeding, unconscious boy—still breathing, barely.
He cursed under his breath, then turned to you, dropping to his knees and scooping you into his arms.
“You’re okay. You’re okay, you hear me?” His voice broke as he held you close, pressing his hand against your wound.
“A-are you saying that to me or..saying it to yourself?,” you murmured weakly.
“You don’t get to joke right now,” he snapped, jaw clenched, voice cracking. “You saved me, Pipsqueak. You shouldn’t have.”
He didn’t waste another second. With you in his arms, he practically sprinted toward the quarters, using his Evol to speed his steps, push aside terrain, and keep your body weightless in his arms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The world was a blur of trees, dim light, and the pounding of Caleb’s feet against the forest trail as he carried you in his arms.
Your blood soaked into his shirt, warm, wet and terrifying.
He kept glancing down at your face—your lashes fluttering, lips parted, breathing shallow. The wound on your side had bloomed into a red, pulsing smear, and his Evol was the only thing keeping pressure against it, holding your body aloft to reduce strain.
His hands trembled.
“Stay with me, Pipsqueak,” he whispered through clenched teeth. “You’re okay. You’re okay. Just hang in there a little longer.”
But in his mind, it wasn’t okay. Not at all.
His brain was still reeling—reliving that moment when your body twisted around his, shielding him without hesitation. When he turned and saw blood—your blood—splatter across the forest floor.
His Evol had flared instantly, exploding outward like a storm. Gravity buckled around the possessed classmate, yanking him off his feet, slamming him against tree bark with a sickening crack.
But Caleb hadn’t stopped there.
He’d lifted the boy again, slammed him harder. Again. Again. Until the air vibrated from the force of his Evol, until bark split and branches snapped and the ground groaned beneath the weight of his fury.
"I could’ve killed him."
The thought still echoed violently in his mind as he ran.
"I would’ve killed him."
It had taken everything in him to stop. To freeze in place, panting, with the student’s body hanging limp in the air—barely conscious but breathing. It wasn’t the boy’s fault. He was possessed. Sick. Twisted by whatever the hell had been unleashed beneath the retreat house.
But Caleb had seen red.
All he could think of was you—falling, bleeding, crying out his name. He’d never felt that kind of rage before. Never lost control like that.
And now he was scared.
Scared of how close he’d come to crossing a line he couldn’t take back.
But even more terrified of the blood pooling beneath your ribcage and the way your fingers were starting to go cold in his.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The teachers’ quarters burst into chaos the moment he kicked the doors open.
“Someone help me—she’s bleeding!” he barked.
Gasps erupted, chairs scraping as teachers rushed toward you. Two staff immediately took you from him and started treating your wound, another prepping a med kit while another called the authorities through the satellite phone in the emergency supply box.
“What happened?!” one of the teachers asked him.
Caleb barely had time to register you being taken away from him, but prompted himself to snap out of it. “Students were exposed to a contaminated basement under the retreat house—infected with Wanderer energy, likely linked to Protocore Syndrome. One of them attacked her.”
“You’re sure?” another teacher questioned, eyes wide with disbelief.
“We’re the class reps,” Caleb snapped. “You think we’d lie about this?”
There was no arguing with him—not with his blood-stained hands and the injured girl still moaning softly on the couch.
“We’ll stabilize her,” a female teacher said firmly, pressing gauze to your side. “You’re safe now. Just breathe.”
After the teachers are done dressing your wound, Caleb crouched beside you, gripping your hand. He couldn’t stop staring at your face—how pale you looked, how weak your breathing sounded.
“Come on, Pipsqueak,” he whispered, brushing a strand of hair from your cheek. “Don’t check out on me now.”
His heart hammered in his chest.
This shouldn’t have happened. He should’ve protected you.
He turned when another teacher approached him, face ashen. “Tell us everything, Caleb.”
He stood, shaky but sharp. “Something was unleashed in the retreat house basement. A contaminated area—possibly tied to Protocore Syndrome or something worse. Students are changing. I don’t think it’s a virus—it’s more like possession.”
“You’re saying this is metaflux exposure?”
“Yes,” he snapped. “This retreat house—it used to be a sanatorium. There was a cover-up. The previous president forced the doctors to stop treating the patients but forbade them from telling others that they stopped the treatment so they can still get the government's financial support. The basement housed patients suffering from Protocore Syndrome. I did some research about this last year for my paper, I just wasn't able to get hold of its location." Caleb's mouth formed into a grim line,"Who would've thought that they turned it into a retreat house."
After Caleb's testimony, the teachers went to work securing all exits, and under Caleb’s insistence, began barricading entry points with shelves and reinforced furniture.
But he didn’t say why. He didn’t tell them the full truth.
That it wasn’t just random—that they were following you.
The flare of energy in your heart—the Aether Core you carried—was drawing the infected like moths to flame. But Caleb couldn’t risk letting the others panic, not yet. Not until he figured out how to protect you fully.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The teachers’ quarters had been locked down tight, furniture barricading every door and window, the sharp scent of disinfectant and sweat thick in the air. The satellite call had gone through, but rescue would take time. Maybe too much time.
Caleb hadn’t moved from your side.
He sat slouched in the chair next to the couch where you'd been bandaged up—sheets now soaked in crimson, your face still pale under the flourescent lights. Your breathing had stabilized somewhat, but not enough to ease the clawing tension in his chest.
He’d lost track of how many times he’d brushed his fingers against your knuckles. Just to make sure you were warm. Alive.
“If I hadn’t hesitated back there—”
He clenched his jaw.
“No… If I’d been faster, stronger… She wouldn’t have had to take that hit for me.”
His Evol twitched around him—little fluctuations in gravity reacting to the storm in his mind. A vase tipped on its side. Dust unsettled on the windowsill. He didn’t even notice.
The teachers whispered among themselves in the kitchen, but Caleb barely registered it. His eyes were locked on you, protective instincts simmering just beneath the surface, barely held back by self-blame.
“Why would you do that?” he whispered to you. “Why would you throw yourself in front of me like that?”
“You idiot…You brave, stupid, beautiful idiot.”
Your fingers twitched in response.
His breath caught.
“Pipsqueak…?”
But it was only a reflex. You didn’t stir.
Still, he leaned closer, resting his forehead against your arm. Just for a second. Just to feel you.
“I’ll keep you safe next time. I swear it.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sound of helicopter blades thudded through the night air like a godsend. The teachers rushed outside with flares, waving frantically.
Caleb didn’t leave your side until a stretcher was rolled in. Even then, he refused to let the medics lift you until he’d whispered one last thing near your ear:
“We’re getting out of here, Pipsqueak. I’m not letting this place take you away from me.”
Tumblr media
Sterile white walls. A rhythmic beeping from the monitor beside your bed. The faint scent of antiseptic and flowers—someone must’ve left a bouquet on the windowsill.
You stirred.
Eyes fluttering open, groggy and dazed. The light was too bright at first, and your limbs felt heavier than you remembered.
But warmth encased one of your hands.
You turned your head slowly.
Caleb sat beside you, slumped forward in a chair, his cheek resting on your hand like it was his anchor to this world. His face was bruised with exhaustion, his hair tousled, and his lips slightly parted in sleep.
Your heart squeezed.
“Caleb…” you rasped, barely audible.
He stirred instantly.
His eyes snapped open and met yours—and the relief in them was instant, radiant, as though someone had flipped a switch inside his chest.
“Pipsqueak,” he breathed. “You’re awake.”
You gave him a weak smile. “You look like hell.”
He chuckled shakily, eyes misting over. “You should see yourself.”
His hand curled around yours tightly, grounding himself in your presence.
“You scared the crap out of me,” he said, voice cracking just a little. “I thought I lost you.”
You shifted slightly under the blanket. “You didn’t.”
There was a moment of silence between you—filled only by the beeping monitor and the soft hum of the hospital’s ventilation.
Then he leaned forward and pressed his forehead to yours gently.
“Next time,” he murmured, “let me protect you. Please.”
You smiled faintly. “Only if you promise to stop calling me Pipsqueak.”
“Never happening,” he whispered, smirking.
You both laughed, low and quiet—tired, but alive. Hope blooming between the bruises and healing wounds.
And in that moment, you knew something had changed. Something inevitable.
There would be more battles ahead. More chaos, more danger. But for now…you had each other.
And maybe—just maybe—that was enough.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The mountains were far behind now—just a distant shadow in memory. Weeks had passed since the horrors at the retreat house, but the scars lingered in ways only the two of you could understand.
Recovery had been slow. You still flinched at sudden noises. Caleb still had nightmares he wouldn’t admit to unless you were holding his hand.
But life was returning to normal… whatever “normal” meant now.
Classes had resumed. The news had spun the sanatorium incident into a full-blown investigation. The students who’d shown signs of Protocore Syndrome were now in containment, receiving medical attention. The rest of the retreat group kept quiet, either too traumatized or too skeptical to speak up.
Only you and Caleb knew the full truth.
And in the quiet moments—like this one—you remembered every piece of it.
You sat on the rooftop garden of the campus dorms, legs tucked under you as you watched the sky shift from dusk to night. The stars were faint behind the city lights, but they still flickered. You sighed and leaned back against the warm fabric of Caleb’s jacket behind you.
“You’re quiet,” Caleb said softly beside you, his gaze on the sky as well.
“Just thinking,” you murmured. “About…everything.”
“Still haunted?” he asked, teasing gently, but there was an edge of concern in his tone.
You shook your head. “Not by them. Just…how fast reality went back to normal.”
A pause stretched between you.
“I think about that too,” he admitted. “About how I could’ve lost you back there.”
You looked at him—eyes softer now, no longer guarded.
“But you didn’t.”
He turned to face you fully. “Only because you saved me first.”
You rolled your eyes fondly. “That doesn’t mean I get bragging rights forever, you know?”
“No,” he said, leaning in, “but it does mean I owe you. Big time.”
You smirked. “Oh? And how do you plan on paying that debt?”
He gave you a crooked grin, reaching out to brush a stray strand of hair behind your ear. “By staying beside you. By protecting you. Always.”
Your breath caught at the weight of his words.
“Caleb…”
He took your hand, threading his fingers with yours.
“I was stupid back then. Thinking I could just be your childhood friend forever. But when I saw you bleeding, when I realized I could lose you…” He exhaled shakily. “I knew I wanted more. I still do.”
Your heart thudded in your chest. “So what now?”
He leaned closer, his forehead brushing yours again—just like that night in the hospital.
“Now, I stop pretending I don’t love you.”
You smiled, eyes glinting with unshed tears. “Took you long enough.”
He laughed softly, pulling you into his arms, wrapping his jacket around both your shoulders.
And beneath the quiet sky, no monsters lurked, no Evol surged uncontrolled—only the gentle hum of possibility between your heart and his.
You leaned into his warmth, knowing this was the start of something new. Something yours.

note: Woooh, I think I got a little too carried away with this one. I was supposed to only do a silly little headcanon of CalebMC in a scary video game type of plot but got lost in the world I built just now. I hope you like this one just as much as I enjoyed writing it. Expect more headcanons inspired by Glint poses of the LIs with my MC in the future ;)

Restraints (Part 9)
Pairing: Sylus/OC (Ameris)
Summary:
Sylus watches Ameris get interrogated at the Farspace Fleet, and Ameris discovers news that changes her whole world.

A/N: Hey, hi, hello! My exams AND my back had other plans for me that didn't allow for focus and writing. Still in pain, very tired, but now I can actually focus on things, so at least there's that! And with spring term being a lot more chill, I should be more than able to update this more frequently. Hope you enjoy this instalment!
***
His plans hardly ever failed, yet as he watched Ameris’ adoptive brother pull her into an interrogation room through Mephisto’s eyes, Sylus couldn’t help but feel the stirrings of something he hated—hesitation, maybe even fear—curling cold and uninvited in his chest, because for the first time, the outcome wasn’t in his hands, and the thought of someone else holding her fate made his blood boil.
Ameris looked so small in that room. Not because she was weak—never that—but because the angles of the security cameras distorted her frame, made her seem swallowed by sterile metal and harsh light. Sylus’ mechanical companion remained hidden in the rafters, utterly still, its digital gaze relaying everything in brutal, clinical detail. She was strapped to a chair. Restrained. Hurt, maybe not yet—but surrounded. Caged.
His fingers curled involuntarily into fists, nails biting into his palms as Caleb—Colonel Caleb, the one with the Fleet’s star-pinned authority and a voice like a cleaver—spoke to her through the intercom. The walls gleamed with one-way glass, but Sylus didn’t need to see Caleb’s eyes to know what was behind them: betrayal, bitterness, some twisted sense of duty that made him think he could rip Ameris from the only happiness she’d ever claimed for herself.
“I’ll start asking the questions. Please cooperate.”
Ameris’ reply was calm—too calm. “Colonel, I’m a small fish. Why are you personally interrogating me?”
The words were light, deflective. But Sylus could see the tension in her wrists, which strained against the restraints, and the minute tremor in her jaw. She was bluffing, and bluffing well, but every second she stayed in that chair was a second too long. She shouldn’t have been alone in there. She shouldn’t have been taken in the first place.
“You deceived the entire fleet with a fake identity.” Caleb’s voice was mechanical, the script of someone who had already written the ending. “Can you really be called a small fish?”
Then Mia entered the frame. Sylus’s heart, if it could still be called that, felt like it had dropped into ice. Her. The one ghost he’d never quite been able to bury. She moved like a predator—slow, deliberate, already savouring the kill.
“Do you know what happens to people who pretend to be a Fleet officer?” Mia asked.
Ameris, to her credit, didn’t flinch. “Either I committed a more serious mistake than pretending to be an officer,” she said, sharp curiosity slipping into her tone, “or I have a secret that piques your interest.”
Gods, she was still trying to control the narrative. Still trying to protect him.
Sylus wanted to scream. Instead, he watched. Helplessly. Silently. As they entered the room, Caleb’s face registered in Ameris’s widening eyes—eyes she quickly veiled again beneath her usual poise. But not quickly enough. Not for Sylus. Not when every flicker of emotion on her face was a dagger twisting into his side.
“If you understand the situation,” Caleb said, placing his hat on the table like some polite executioner, “then let’s go ahead and have a nice chat.”
And then Ameris said it—broke protocol and cracked through the mask of calm, a split second of desperate recognition. “Is it really you? Ca—”
“Show some respect to the Farspace Fleet’s Colonel,” Mia snapped, her voice cutting through the room like a scalpel.
Ameris swallowed her words, her tone changing. “Sir, have we met before? You seem familiar…”
“You’re wrong,” Caleb said, low and flat. He leaned in close, whispered something the crow’s audio couldn’t catch, and whatever it was—whatever poison he poured into her ear—made her eyes shift, made her body still, made her play along.
Sylus couldn’t breathe.
Mia moved forward then, like a vulture, and began to pat Ameris down. Sylus had seen violence before. Had done violence. But there was something so intimate about this: the invasion, the humiliation, the false promises layered over every movement. She took the weapons. Stripped away the last of Ameris’ defences. Then she removed the glove.
Sylus already knew what was beneath it. He’d chosen that ring himself. Kept it with him for centuries, until he was sure it was time to give it to her. It wasn’t just a symbol—it was a vow, a rebellion, a future. And there it was now, glittering coldly under fluorescent lights as if mocking him.
“It’s just a ring,” Ameris said, her voice even. But Sylus saw the panic blooming in her eyes like frostbite.
Mia’s laugh was cruel. “He really thinks you’ll survive this.”
“Leave him out of this,” Ameris snapped.
“That’s the plan,” Caleb murmured. He stepped in to look at the ring, but Sylus could see it—clear as day—jealousy. Not duty. Not justice. Jealousy. His fingers touched the ring like it was something sacred. Something stolen.
Sylus stood so fast that the chair beneath him scraped violently across the floor. The bond between him and Mephisto severed with a hiss of static. He couldn’t watch anymore. Couldn’t sit and wait like a ghost in the machine. Rage warred with helplessness, pacing his mind like a caged beast.
He wanted to burn the whole Fleet to the ground. But for the first time in years, Sylus had no weapon sharp enough, no plan clever enough, no way in.
All he could do was wait. And that was the worst torture of all.
***
Mephisto’s quiet presence was felt by Ameris as they forced her into an exam chair, Mia instructing the Fleet’s doctor to be careful with her. They needed her to be in perfect condition; if they ended up with “damaged goods,” there was no chance that Ever could use her. “I will never be a weapon for any of you.”
“Funny,” Mia smirked. “You think you have a choice.”
“Funny,” Ameris shot back. “You think you’ll win.”
“Oh… kitten, ”Mia let the word drip, deliberately cruel, like she’d peeled it straight from Sylus’ mouth. “I already have.”
Ameris clenched her jaw, eyes locked on Mia even as the doctor adjusted the restraints. She wouldn’t let them see her break. Not when she could still feel the faint static hum of Mephisto nearby, a quiet tether to the man she loved. He was watching. She could sense it like a prickle beneath her skin, like her pulse shifted to the rhythm of his breath.
She tilted her chin up, regal even in chains. “If you’d already won, I wouldn’t still be breathing.”
Mia chuckled as she leaned against the sterile counter, arms crossed over her chest like she had all the time in the world. “Oh, darling, this isn’t about your breath. It’s about his. How long do you think Sylus can keep breathing easily, knowing you’re here? Knowing he can’t reach you?”
A flicker passed through Ameris’ expression. A tremor. Barely there, but enough for Mia to press in.
“You’re his weak point,” she said, voice syrup-sweet. “You think he can play the long game while you’re in our hands? You think he can focus, plan, calculate like he always does when every second you’re in pain cracks him deeper than anything Ever could throw at him?”
“I’m not his weakness,” Ameris whispered, the truth like a blade she wielded with deadly calm. “I’m his rage. His reason. You don’t win when you threaten me—you sign your death warrant.”
Mia’s smile thinned. “You say that like it scares me.”
“It should.”
The doctor cleared his throat awkwardly, clearly wishing he wasn’t in the middle of this war of words. He focused on the screen, the readout scrolling as he scanned Ameris’ vitals again.
“Still elevated,” he muttered, tapping a few keys. “Adrenal levels holding steady, no sedative response.”
“She doesn’t need sedation,” Mia replied coolly. “She needs clarity. Fear tends to bring that about just fine.”
Ameris refused to look away. Even now. Even as her wrists burned and her body ached and exhaustion curled around her like smoke, she wouldn’t give them the victory of seeing her flinch. Mephisto’s presence hovered like a ghost just outside the light—no movement, no sound, but unmistakable. She hoped Sylus was still watching. She hoped he knew she hadn’t lost herself.
“Done with your scans?” Mia asked with the bored air of someone already expecting the results to bend to her will.
The Fleet’s doctor was silent a little too long. He squinted at the readout again, fingers twitching as he tapped to refresh the data. His brows knit. A pause. Then a breath.
“There’s… something,” he murmured, more to himself than anyone else. “I need to re-run a sequence.”
Mia arched an eyebrow, tone sharpening. “What sort of something?”
He hesitated. The quiet drew out like a held breath. “She’s pregnant.”
Ameris went utterly still, but only on the surface. Inside, the ground shifted violently beneath her ribs. Her stomach clenched, her vision swam. There it is. The thing she’d half-feared, half-hoped. That soft suspicion she’d buried beneath espionage and escape routes, ignored during stolen nights tangled in Sylus’ arms when her body had whispered hints and her heart refused to listen.
And now here it was, spoken aloud in the clinical hush of a Fleet examination room. Cold and real and true.
Pregnant.
Her first instinct was to curl protectively inward, but she was strapped down. Her second instinct was to cry—but that would mean surrender, and she wasn’t broken yet. Instead, her breath hitched once, sharp in her chest, and she swallowed the tide rising in her throat.
A hand pressed gently to the flat of her abdomen, as much as the restraints would allow. Sylus’ voice echoed in her mind—sweetie, he’d called her, soft and reverent, when he kissed her just beneath her navel one sleepless night. She hadn’t let herself want it, hadn’t believed they could have anything beyond the danger wrapped around them like a noose.
But the ache in her chest right now wasn’t fear. It was love. Fierce. Staggering. Terrifying.
“Oh, perfect,” Mia drawled, pinching the bridge of her nose as if she’d just been handed a paperwork error and not a living complication. “Of course. Of course the two of you couldn’t keep your damn hands off each other long enough to keep this simple.”
Ameris finally looked at her, eyes dark and wild. “You never stood a chance of keeping it simple.”
The doctor, suddenly extremely interested in not being in the room, began organizing his instruments.
“How far along?” Mia asked, every syllable ground through clenched teeth.
“Five, maybe six weeks,” he said, not meeting anyone’s eyes. “Just past implantation.”
Caleb hadn’t spoken yet.
Ameris noticed the way he was looking at her, at her hand still curled against her belly. A mix of disbelief, jealousy, and something far uglier coiled behind his eyes. Like the truth of her love for Sylus, their future—this child—was a personal betrayal.
“So he knocked you up,” Caleb said finally, venom bleeding into every word. “And you thought this was still a good idea? Infiltrating us?”
“This was never about you,” Ameris snapped, her voice hardening like iron. “None of this ever was. I have already died a thousand times over because it meant protecting Sylus. And now—” Her voice trembled, but she lifted her chin, defiant. “Now I’ll die a thousand more for this child.”
Mia made a disgusted sound. “Gods, you’re dramatic.”
“You want to use me?” Ameris spat. “Turn me into some twisted Fleet tool? Then know this—you’ll be hunting two rebels, not one.”
Mia stared at her for a long time, lips pressed thin, calculating. “We’ll postpone the chip implantation,” she said at last, nodding toward the doctor. “I’m not risking neural instability in a pregnant host. Ever won’t want that.”
“Ever can rot,” Ameris hissed.
The words earned her a swift slap across the face from Caleb—sharp and immediate, the kind that left a sting. Mephisto flinched subtly from his hidden perch, camera lens narrowing as it captured every angle, every bruise, every injustice.
“You don’t talk about them that way,” Caleb said lowly, jaw clenched. “You don’t get to.”
Ameris didn’t flinch. She bled from her lip and smiled. “If the leader of Ever wanted to own me so bad, why didn’t they come themself?”
Mia sighed, a drawn-out sound that echoed in the sterile room, her heels clicking sharply against the cold floor as she walked toward the door. Her words hung in the air like a thread taut with malice. “Restrain her properly. We’ll revisit this in forty-eight hours.”
She paused at the threshold, her gaze flicking back over her shoulder, the door half-open between them. “And maybe by then, you’ll understand exactly how little Sylus can do to save you now.”
Ameris didn’t answer. She didn’t have to. There was no point in responding to taunts she knew for what they were—bluster, a desperate attempt to rattle her. Instead, she let the words fall away like dead leaves, a flicker of cold contempt settling behind her eyes as she kept her gaze fixed on the door, now closing with a mechanical hiss. Mia’s presence receded, leaving a hollow silence in its wake.
The pressure of the restraints on her wrists was a constant, a sharp, insistent reminder that she was held here against her will. The straps dug into her skin, pulling tight with each shift, each slight movement. The metallic scent of the room clung to her tongue, bitter and cloying like the ashes of something long burned. Her body ached from hours of confinement, but it was nothing compared to the gnawing ache in her chest—the absence of Sylus’ touch, of his voice, of his presence. She could still hear him, almost—his laugh, his words—though it was nothing but a whisper of memory now, fading with each passing moment she spent in this wretched place.
The door clicked shut, the quiet hum of the machinery filling the void. She could still hear the faint sound of the doctor’s footsteps, distant now, retreating into the bowels of the facility. But the silence they left behind wasn’t comforting. It pressed in on her, suffocating, as though it were another layer of the chains that bound her.
Ameris squeezed her eyes shut, not in surrender, but in an attempt to steady herself. To push away the panic that had begun to creep in at the edges of her mind. She didn’t let it take hold. She leaned back slightly, feeling the cold, unyielding surface of the exam chair against her spine. Her body protested, stiff and bruised, but she remained still, breathing slowly and deliberately. The phantom warmth of Sylus’ hand on her stomach, the way he had pressed his lips there just days before, filled the emptiness of the moment. His voice, low and rough, whispered in the corners of her mind, but she couldn’t quite catch the words. She didn’t need to. She could feel him, feel his presence, even now.
Above her, somewhere in the dark corners of the room, Mephisto lingered, a shadow, a tether. Silent, unseen, but there. She could feel his watchful gaze, like a thread pulling at her, keeping her anchored. Keeping her from shattering.
She wanted to scream. The raw, unfiltered cry of frustration, of helplessness that threatened to break loose from deep within her chest. But no. That would be giving them what they wanted. So, she swallowed it down, forcing it into the dark corners of her mind where it couldn’t escape. She wanted to collapse into sleep, to forget the cold, to forget the threat of the Fleet closing in on her every second. But that, too, was impossible. They were too close. Too dangerous. And she couldn’t afford to let her guard down—not now. Not ever.
Instead, she stayed still. Too still. Every muscle in her body screamed at her to move, to do something, but she resisted. Because any movement now—sign of weakness, any hint of breaking—would be the beginning of her surrender. She would not give them that. Not even in this moment of raw vulnerability, when her body trembled with the weight of what had just been revealed.
Let them think they’d won. Let them think they had broken her.
But they didn’t understand. They didn’t understand what it meant to bleed for love, to carry the weight of something so fragile, so precious, that it could shatter everything—yet keep you standing, even when the world around you threatened to fall apart. They didn’t understand the fierce determination that ran through her veins, the love that fueled her every breath. The fire she carried within her wasn’t just for Sylus. It was for them, for everything they had built together. She wasn’t just a prisoner. She wasn’t just someone to be used or broken. She was a force in her own right.
They wanted to turn her into something they could control. But they couldn’t. Not now. Not ever.
Ameris exhaled slowly, the weight of her breath pushing back the overwhelming tide of fear. She wasn’t just fighting for herself anymore. She was fighting for everything that mattered to her.

Summary - When you kill someone on duty for the first time, Natasha is the one being here to stop you from falling.
— — — — —
You haven’t been a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent for long, barely more than three years. It may seem long for some people but, in that kind of job, it is not. Although your training ended up a long time ago, your teammates are still calling you a Rookie because even after years of duty, you still have a lot of things to learn, some the hard way.
You guess this nickname will stick with you until a new recruit joins the agency. It has been three years that no one passed the entrance exam so you are still seen as the newest addition which pisses you off sometimes. It is frustrating to not be taking seriously just because you are a bit less experienced than your teammates, some of them only been on the agency for one more year than you but are acting cocky with it.
However, despite your teammates’ attitude, you are convinced you are right where you are supposed to be : even if some days are rough, you love this job. Honestly, you never planned to join the agency but now you are here, you don’t want to leave.
You have always dreamed about becoming a police officer, not some kind of governmental spy. You ended up here thanks to a bit of fate and, mostly, thanks to the help of one of your professors. At the police academy, you were doing great, you were among the best of your promotion, that is why Mr. Andrews suggested you to take the entrance exam for the S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy. Before that day, you had never heard about the agency, but you still decided to give it a try, it was the least you could do to thanks him for everything he did.
Surprisingly, you succeed the exam and earned a place at the academy, alongside with two of your classmates. You weren’t sure it was what you wanted to do, but it was probably your only chance to give it a try so you went to the academy, thinking you could always leave if it doesn’t suit you. Yet, it has been the best decision you made.
Surely, you doubted it sometimes, thinking about quitting because the training was so hard, both physically and mentally, that you thought you couldn’t take it anymore. But you stayed, not being alone helped you a lot so, even if you doubted a lot your decision, you never regretted it.
Until today.
One day was enough to change everything. The first rule in the job is that you know nothing. Every mission is different, every mission could go wrong at any moment, it is impossible to be prepared to what it could bring to you. After three years of duty, you tend to forget about that rule. Up to now, everything went smooth, except for a few injuries you got, you were lucky.
It was supposed to be a routine mission, not much different than the previous ones. Your team was supposed to take back some important documents, so you needed to infiltrate the hotel the guys who stole it were staying.
“I get it”, you whisper in the communication device.
But when you are about to leave the room, you hear the voices of two persons. You don’t have much time, so you decide to quickly hide under the bed, you wish there was a better place but all you can do is waiting here, praying they won’t notice your presence. However, it seems fate is not on your side tonight.
After maybe ten minutes of waiting that felt like an eternity, you eventually feel someone pulling you from under the bed by grabbing your legs. You may be a qualified agent, but they are way more experienced than you are. You were listening to their conversation but yet, you couldn’t have guessed they knew you were here the whole time. Racing heart and irregular breath are the signs of panic, but you can’t let those take the control of your body, fear is a synonym to death. Take a deep breath, think and attack before they can.
It is quite easy to escape the man’s grasp because he wasn’t expecting you to be so fast. But the man wasn’t the problem, it was the woman with him. She was aiming that gun at you while you were fighting with her mate, not shooting yet because she could’ve killed him instead, but as soon as you stand up, she doesn’t hesitate anymore.
It was a reflex.
She missed the first bullet because of the circumstances, because she couldn’t clearly target you so the bullet passed closed enough. Except she doesn’t look like someone that misses an easy shot and you don’t look like someone who wants to die so you shoot first.
It was a reflex.
It is the first you kill someone on duty. Three years of duty during whose you ensured that you wouldn’t kill anyone. You get them out of the way, you hurt them, sometimes you knock them out like you just did with that guy but you never took a life. But tonight you did, for the first time. Tonight, you didn’t aim for that woman’s leg but for her chest, right where her heart is, she died almost on the spot. It feels awful.
On the way back to the base, you are silent. Your teammates don’t even notice how quiet you are tonight. The two sitting on the front of the car are talking, the last one is humming some music. The mood is light because the mission was a success: you did bring back those documents. So why aren’t you joyful? You don’t know, but tonight you don’t feel like joking, laughing and jumping around as you usually would.
Tonight, you won’t celebrate with your mates because there is nothing to celebrate. A woman died. It doesn’t matter which side she was on or if she was aiming that gun at your head because you shoot and it makes you no better than the people you despise. When you joined the Academy, it was to save civilians, to make something good about your life, you wanted to feel useful and make a difference. So from the moment you became an agent, you avoid killing people. A part of you knew that, one day, wouldn’t let you choose but you didn’t think much about it; if after three years you didn’t kill anyone, it’ll may stay that way until you end your career.
Oh, how naive you were.
Maybe you are too gentle for that world. Your mates kill people and you never saw them hesitating, so what’s wrong with you? Can’t your mind just shut up? It is not that a big deal, is it? It is supposed to be your job, you did what you had to, right? So why does it still feel wrong?
You are a person that easily slip on other people’s shoes. Those people called villains are nothing more than people that got lost at a moment in their lives, people that were failed by the system or made a wrong choice, does it mean they deserve to die? Some of them, maybe, but definitely not that woman. She was barely older than you are, she had a whole life to live but she will never get you because of you, because you decided she didn’t deserve to live.
It is something your superiors often blame you for: your inability to shot when it is needed. It is not because it led to failed mission, but because it caused you a lot of injuries that could have been avoid. They never understood why you were so reluctant to do so, sometimes they are angry, sometimes just disappointed. But tonight you eventually did exactly what they are expecting from you. That’s what you are repeating to yourself but it doesn’t make you feel any better, if you hate the idea of disappointing Agent Romanoff, your superior, you probably hate your actual situation even more.
This moment is playing again and again on your mind, making you oblivious of your surrounding. The sound of her body falling is covering your mates’ voices. The way her chest raised one last time before she stopped moving, the way her eyes were wide open and the blood. Everywhere. On the ground, on her suit, on your hands. A bit of your own, but mostly of her, who knew a body contains so much blood? Not you.
When you are finally back at the compound, the redhead is here. Even if you are not a trainee anymore, you are still a rookie until they decide otherwise and she will probably be your mentor for a few more years. And being your mentor means that wherever you are, she is. Today was your first mission alone. Well, you weren’t really alone, you had your usual team by your side but she wasn’t here. At first, she didn’t want to let you go, wherever she is, you are, but she let herself be convinced. This mission couldn’t wait more, neither could the emergency call she got.
The mission was easier than some you did by the past, she knows you are capable but still, she can’t get over that strange feeling, being scared for you security. She knows she can trust you but can she really trusts your mates? She is stressing over the fact that, for the first time, she isn’t here to protect you.
She is now regretting her choice, it was irresponsible from her to agree to such a demand. She has no idea what exactly happened during the mission but she heard that things didn’t go as smoothly as they were supposed too. She is pacing back and forth on the garage, waiting for your team to come back. She tried to get more information from Fury, but he doesn’t know much more than what he already told her.
A few hours later, the team is eventually back. When her eyes catch you, she is relieved: you seem fine. Her relief only lasts a moment as she quickly notices something is off with your attitude. You ignored her, didn’t even looked for her as you would usually do.
“What happened?” she asks to one of the agents that was on the mission. She grabbed him by the arm, forcing him to look at her, she is taking the whole situation seriously.
“She fired”, he replies, shrugging.
The man doesn’t really understand why it is such a big deal to you, after three years, you should be used to that kind of things happening in a mission. However, Natasha immediately understood.
She rushes to find you but it is already too late. She can’t find you on the locker room, neither she can on your dorm or on the common areas. It is on the shared bathroom that she eventually finds you. She can’t help but being worried. She was really young when she killed for the first time, but she still remembers how it feels, years don’t take away the guilt and the disgust. The difference is that she never got a chance to think too much about it, she was raised to kill, it felt almost normal after a while, she got used to that feeling You, however, are not of that kind. It doesn’t matter how skilled you are: you are not a murder.
“What are you doing?” she asks, frowning when she saw you here.
Scrubbing. That is what you are doing and the only thing left in your mind, you are just obsessed with the idea of cleaning your hands. So you are scrubbing. You are scrubbing until the water turns clear but it doesn’t, it stays red and bloody. It seems there is always more blood on your hands.
You are so focused that you didn’t even hear the woman coming in. Your ears are ringing and your vision is blurry because of the tears in your eyes, the only thing you can see clearly is the blood, all this red. You are using a nail brush in hope it would help you get it of the dirt? but it doesn’t. It just hurts.
A pain that you ignore.
A pain that you feel like you deserved it, like it is the only way to get those memories out of your mind, even if it is just for a moment, you are glad to be able to focus on something.
However, Natasha is not. As soon as she realizes what you are doing, she steps in. She turns the water off, wrapping her hands around yours to make you stop, as her attempts to talk to you failed. She slowly takes the soap and the brush from your hands, putting it on the sink.
For a few minutes, you remain silent. You don’t even dare to look at her in the eyes, how could you? The guilt and the shame make you avoid her gaze, a part of you being scared about what she could say or think. Maybe she sees you exactly as you do right now: pathetic and horrible.
“Let’s clean those wounds”, she eventually says in a quiet voice that surprises you because you thought she would be angry and yell at you. Or maybe it is what you wished she would do. It is easier to hate yourself when people do too.
But she doesn’t.
On the contrary, she is sweet and caring, an attitude that is rarely hers, Agent Romanoff not being someone showing that she cares the usual way. She is usually demanding with the people she cares for but she understands that tonight you don’t need that. Right now, what you need is someone by your side, someone to guide you through that situation.
So she makes you sit on a stool. You don’t protest, there is something good in not having to think about what to do next. She comes back with a few seconds later with medical kit. She sits in front of you and, in silence, she starts to take care of your hands. You scrubbed them for so long and with so much pressure that the blood at the end wasn’t the woman’s anymore. It was yours because the brush scratched your hands.
“Here we are”, she says once she is done. She cleaned your wounds with alcohol and then applied bandages on your hands. She seems to want to add something, but she hesitates. “Do you want to talk about it?” she eventually asks.
You shake your head, no. You don’t want to talk about it, you don’t want to hear about it, you don’t even want to think about what happened today. If it was possible, you would like to erase this day from your mind or turn back in time so you can change the outcome, but you can’t.
Natasha sighs but she doesn’t push, she knows it is not the solution. Instead, she guides you to her quarters.
“It is not my room”, you remark when you get here. It is a one person room, one of the privileges of being a superior.
“No, it’s not”, she acknowledges, “but I am not leaving your side.”
“You don’t need to do that, I am gonna be fine”, but she doesn’t let you go. As you try to leave the room, she firmly hold you by the arm. You staying here wasn’t a question, not even an invitation, it was more of an order.
“No, you are not. And after what happened I don’t trust you, at least not tonight”, she tells you and she is not joking at all. She has that serious expression and you know she won’t take no as an answer. You want to be alone, but deep down you are relieved you won’t spend the night alone.
She helps you take off your suit. She then helps you to put on some of her clothes, a short and a t-shirt, so you are ready to go to sleep. It is already late, midnight was long gone. She guides you to the bed, it is a bit small but it is just for one night and you don’t seem to protest, you just let her guide you, your mind being far away.
The two of you are leaning in the bed in silence. Her chest pressing against your back, her head near to yours. She is holding you firmly, as if she was scared you could run away. You stay in that position for a moment before your voice breaks the silence.
“I- I don’t even know her name, I barely saw her face and-” you eventually say, feeling the need to let a bit of what is in your mind out. You are exhausted, but you can’t even close your eyes to try to sleep, those memories and thoughts keeping you wide awake.
“it’s okay”, she whispers in your ear. She is not sleeping either, too worried about you for that. She already knows that she is going to stay awake the whole night to keep an eye on the woman she is holding in her arms.
“No!” you yell. You can’t stand how calm she is. “No it’s not, how could it be okay? I killed her. I killed a woman and I don’t even know who she was.”
“It happens, sometimes, you have no choice”, she continues to talk in a quiet voice, soothing you by stroking your hair. She knows nothing she could say right now would make it easier. You need time and support, all she can do is being here and let you know she is.
“I do, I should’ve aimed for her limb or…”, you start, but you can’t even finish your sentence. You feel your throat tighten, your voice broke on the last few words.
“You did exactly what you had to. You did exactly what you had to stay alive. I know it is hard but you will get through it, okay? And I am gonna be here, with you, the whole time”, she whispers again in your ear, her voice calming a bit the storm in you.
This is how you eventually fell asleep. In the comfort of the arms of that woman, with a feeling of security. The way her hand is brushing your hair calming your mind until Morpheus accepts you in his realm. The words she is whispering in your ears are helping to ease the guilt and the hate. However, Natasha won’t sleep. She is going to stay awake the whole night just so she can be here if you wake up needing her, no matter what time of the night it is, she wants to make sure you are not alone because it is the worst in situations like this.

I love the new chapter. I was reading it during lunch and smeared my food across my sleeve, because I couldn‘t stop looking at the screen You’re a master at crafting tension.
My heart goes out to Galois and Cas who seem to be at their lowest point yet. I am in so much grief over the pain they had to endure. It hurt to read! :-(
I‘m actively rooting for Draxum and especially Raphael and TC to find them soon. Cas especially is in a vulnerable position. I doubt you would depict anything outside the tagged warnings, dear author, and her being female likely is not a plotpoint yes but Cas doesn’t know that . In her position I would’ve had multiple nervous breakdowns already, she is probably keeping it together for the sake of her younger brother
Leonardo is such a clever boy, but he can still learn a lot from Agent Bishop, who is (even though Leo temporarily managed to corner his king) arguably superior in all intellectual aspects. I hope Leonardo can take this as an opportunity… a type of involuntary internship? I‘m wondering if he had enough time to study Bishop‘s behavior if he could one day in the far far future go toe to toe with him
You have me gripped by their dynamic and their dialogue. Agent Bishop seemed to initially view him solely as an asset but eventually realized that Leonardo, if given the slightest opening, will become a player in his own write. I doubt Bishop would come to show him more respect in the future but the fact remains that something has changed in their relationship, which is always great in character dynamics and especially when paced out so well
I really hope to read more of them and their dramatic selves! They almost remind me of early Draxum and Donatello although in a different way (I might be thinking that only because I binged these scenes only recently… still what I noticed is that you are extremely skilled at crafting parallels)
Narratively I‘m wondering if Galois might get sold before Draxum and co can find him? Because it would make for great stakes and advance the plot into a entirely new direction but simultaneously would be a huge shake up in the balance of the war. From what I can tell it would force Draxum to:
1. hide the fact his greatest weapon has gone MIA from everyone outside his innermost circle (TC, Raph and only his most trusted rescue and search personnel)
2. face the possibility of losing his son and the war simultaneously
either and both would be amazing and I wish I could witness his reaction. I’m wondering how all this could lead to Galois regaining his memories but either way I‘ll be thrilled
ps: yes Agent Bishop is attractive but in the way Ilay from the Passion universe is attractive… I won’t delude myself thinking the man is fixable but nevertheless I shall enjoy the problems he creates
I‘m hoping Raphael is doing okay and Draxum won’t resort to taking his stress out on the boy. Raphael doesn’t deserve to feel even more guilt and heartbreak and something tells me Draxum is not the best legal guardian to be around right now…
lmao thank you so much and I apologize for any stains on your shirt.
Uh. I will be honest, there is going to be some minor sexual assault and harassment, if not in the next chapter then in the one after that. There's no outright intercourse, but there is groping and the scene where they see a doctor does include an exam that's more invasive than necessary. I will include warnings before the chapter though, so you can skip Gale's section if that's too much for you.
Cass being a woman doesn't really factor in because most of these people really aren't attracted to her, humans look weird to them anyway. It's solely about the power they have over them. But yeah, especially with her history in foster care and hanging around some very shitty people, (grew up in a poor area, was involved in gang shit, and her parents were both junkies) this is all stirring up some very awful emotions and it's really just focusing on Gale that's holding her together.
Involuntary internship, oh my god. I might have to add that to the story tags, that's amazing. That's like the spiritual inverse of consensual kidnapping.
We're kind of at a point in the story where I could take the story completely off the rails and just do something wildly different for many chapters, with Leo in Colorado and Gale being held in some rich dude's basement. And like, I do have ideas, but for the sake of readability (and finishing this story within my natural lifetime) we won't be doing that. This isn't the rest of Book 3, hopefully this plotline only takes up a few chapters. But who fucking knows with me.
But yeah, no one is to know that Galois is missing. Most of the people Draxum has searching don't even know, I haven't decided yet what he told them but he's keeping that a very close secret for now. His enemies and even his own allies would pounce on him the moment they knew. There's very, very few people he trusts not to stab him in the back or use the opportunity to buy or kill Gale themselves. Plus he has Cass to worry about too, and most of his allies would absolutely let Cass die even if they'd return Gale to him, would probably be confused why Draxum would even care about keeping her alive in the first place.
I might release a oneshot of Raph's pov covering the events of the next few chapters. (or what Draxum & co are doing over the next few chapters, we're not actually going to see most of it) Draxum isn't like...nice to be around right now, no. He's not exactly taking his anger out on Raph, he knows that wouldn't be right, but he's going to average like five minutes of sleep a night until Gale is back home and he's going to lash out at people.
This is actually kind of a turning point in their relationship. Both in good ways and bad.

Can I get some advice from both a teacher perspective and a kind adult perspective? I've always been a good student and labeled as "gifted" so obviously I got gifted kid burnout, as one does. I'm naturally smart enough that I can study for exams one day to even 40 minutes before and always come out with a score in the 90s, I think this is also because I listen very attentively in class. But here's the real problem, I have some pretty bad depression and I very easily fall behind on homework and actually studying consistently because of it. I honestly live in my head a lot if that makes sense? Anyway, I'll miss something or forget a unit or not study as well as I'd like (which is inevitable, I know what I do isn't sustainable), and when I forget something I feel (excuse my language) really fucking stupid about it. Not to mention frustrated because I KNOW it's my own fault. I do quite well on tests and exams because I prioritize them but I feel like I'm not as good of a student as I used to be, I'm just a good test taker. Basically: because I don't do work, school gives me anxiety. I get anxious, I refuse to go to school (I don't miss too many days but enough to suffer). When I miss school obviously I fall behind and have work pile up. My anxiety regarding school makes me want to avoid anything that has to do with it, including my work. The depression doesn't help. I don't do most of the work, I feel stupid and embarrassed (people seriously have no idea what it's like to go to school and have to look your teacher in the eyes, in front of your whole class, and say you didn't do your homework. I'm ashamed because I know I could easily bang it out in like an hour and I'm the only fucking person in my AP classes that doesn't do their work. It's not fun to feel incompetent. I'm not avoiding it for fun or because of laziness, I promise. It's not like I exclusively don't want to study and do homework, it's depression. I don't want to do anything. I don't even want to leave my room and sit in the living room. I just want to rot.) and the cycle repeats. I don't know what to do Cas :( I'm 15 and I'm scared. I don't want to be useless and unsuccessful because I can't suck it up and get off my ass.
Hi! I completely understand where you’re coming from and I’ve definitely been there. I think what’s important is to come up with some strategies that break you out of that anxiety-depression cycle and help you stay on track. Once you find strategies that work for you, they can go with you into adulthood too. Now is a great time to test out some of those strategies- does it help to make lists? Take breaks? Reward yourself with food or small activities? Body double with others? Study in or out of your house? Take notes with fun pens or on the computer? Study with others or alone? Use apps to help study?
I challenge you to try one new technique a day. Don’t overwhelm yourself, just use the next few weeks to be an active learner about how you learn and how you study. Be gentle with yourself and remember that you’re still young and you’re still learning ❤️
Also if you find something that DOES work, tell your teachers. Most teachers are willing to make small changes to assignments if you’re making an active effort to still learn.
I hope this helps and I believe in you!

Dean loves cakes.
And this I think is a universally known truth.
And he's also a decent cook, if we have to be honest, but if we really have to find something that he can't cook, well that's cakes.
Today is your birthday, his beloved little sister, whom he still finds hard to believe has grown up enough to be 19 years old, yet just today he had gone to the supermarket to buy candles, since the nine had now been lost since you celebrated your nine years many years ago and the one they had used the year before for your 18th birthday had melted after Cas had used it as a Christmas candle, thinking it was a badly made candy cane. As a matter of fact, the cashier had smiled at him when she had seen his purchase, along with all the ingredients for the cake she is making, and had asked him how old you were and he in turn, trying to be cordial to the old lady had replied that you would be 19 the next day, today. The lady had smiled even more and told him something like, "It's bad to see one's children grow up so fast, I guess all you would want is for your little girl to still be little." Those words had upset Dean a bit because: first, he had not thought he looked so old that he could have a 19-year-old daughter (Cas, in fact, had spent hours trying to convince her beloved husband, who had been staring at himself in front of the mirror, that he didn't actually look that old and that the lady probably couldn't see that well); second, that indeed perhaps those words were true.
You were born out of a one-night stand, had with a woman in some state that he doesn't even remember, of his father; in fact all Dean remembers is that one day, when he was in his early twenties, his father had walked through the motel door with a bundle of blankets in his hand, and inside in that comfortable chest was you. His life had improved with a simple little human, in fact that day had changed his life, and for that it was the best day of his existence.
Sam had been leaving him for a while, and he had never felt so lonely as he did during those years, and then you had come along, and everything had improved so damn much. Sam had learned about you from a call at two o'clock in the morning from his brother as soon as you had arrived, and immediately asked him to come over to find out about the new addition to the family, and loving you immensely from the first time he had held you in his arms, and found out that Dean was already going crazy not wanting to miss a single thing with you and buying every baby thing he saw in the supermarkets.
For a long time he had been trying to keep you out of his life, leaving you with Bobby and a few other trusted people, but then he couldn't keep you away from himself anymore, coming to see you every chance he got even driving days at a time without stopping, because you were always his light, his tender little reason for living.
Over time you had grown and become a great hunter, having great teachers.
You have always been related to both of your brothers then, but with Dean there has always been a special relationship, you have always been accomplices, each other's halves, and because of that until he met Castiel, Dean was convinced that you were his soul mate.
And it hurts him to see you grow up, to see you become an adult, you his sweet, innocent little girl making drawings to hang on Bobby's fridge with you, your favorite big brother and a gutted monster on them. (Dean also will never confess it to you, because he is too used to not letting on how he feels, but he still has in a box in the back of his closet all the things you gave him when you were little, a box full of mementos, candy, labels and especially all those drawings, wanting to somehow trap little baby you).
But coming back to this moment, we left our Dean intending to read the recipe for your favorite cake, thinking it was very easy, much easier than the website would have you believe. So he takes the ingredients he had bought the day before and begins our great hero's adventure against the most treacherous monster of all: the bakery.
A few minutes pass and already the oldest Winchester finds himself covered in flour, butter and something he cannot recognize, and all having not even opened the flour yet, and for that he does not understand how it was possible.
Cas at the door lets out a small laugh as she looks at her busy husband, who upon hearing it looks up and gives him the middle finger.
"Are you still sure you want to do this? We all know you're not a bad cook, but when it comes to pies you're not exactly the best person for the job." Confesses the angel, approaching Dean, then trying to wipe his cheek before leaving him a kiss in the small area he had obtained.
"She deserves it. I-I have to make her a cake, I have to do something to show her that she is very important to me, she is my little girl, I love her." The man says, gradually shutting off his voice, hoping her husband would not hear the last words, still ashamed a little that he might look weak in her eyes, even though she had now seen him in all his lowest moments and had loved him even in those moments. Cas shakes her head, as we all are doing after all, and looks at the man she loves enough to deny her past and embrace a new present, dreaming of a wonderful future.
"And just tell her what you told me? Don't think I'm not happy that you want to bake her cake, I'm convinced it's a wonderful idea, but it would be even better perhaps if you bake the cake together. She loves to bake, especially cakes for you, why not do it together this time?" Proposes the shorter man of the two, looking into the eyes of Dean who was currently holding back tears, feeling for the umpteenth time as wrong, useless and incapable as when after a hunt gone wrong his father scolded him and beat him until he almost fell unconscious after yet another beer too many.
"Precisely because of that, I have to do it for her. I know perfectly well what it's like to have the need to make sure you do everything to make others feel good, without thinking of yourself, and I don't want her to feel that way too, that the cakes she bakes for me are a duty. I want to return the favor, and for once do it to her." Winchester counters, trying to hide his distress from the piercing blue eyes of the angel he loves so much.
"Then let me help you." Cas begs him, taking his still soiled hands, not caring that he too is now covered in flour, before wrapping leave them to wrap his arms around the waist of the man who had stolen his heart ever since he had seen him in Hell, causing him to plummet, literally dare I say it, from his home.
Dean doesn't find the strength to answer right away, but shakes his head vehemently, before saying in a low voice that he had to do it alone, that he couldn't be helped or the guilt would grip him for who knows how long. This time it is Cas's turn to shake his head, commenting as loudly as all the Winchesters he knows thus emphasizing that John is not for a dick's sake like his sons by reiterating once again the eternal hatred he feels for that existing being who had helped bring his favorite siblings into the world, highlighting how they were frighteningly the same: stubborn, proud, and stupidly and bravely the most selfless and good people he knows.
The sweet and affectionate scene between the two, to the detriment of us poor readers, is interrupted by a voice, yours, which you cannot help but comment on the angel's words.
"Well my dear, you have bound yourself to us with a bond worse than a pact with Crowley himself by marrying that old man." You laughingly comment, looking around the kitchen a bit as you wonder what happened: whether a bomb went off or your brother and his husband decided to have crazy sex while cooking themselves a romantic dinner.
"What happened here?" You ask, then rest your eyes on Dean's red ones, which had let go a few minutes ago in a silent cry on Cas's shoulder.
The angel mumbles an excuse and runs out of the kitchen, leaving you alone, and you immediately hug your brother, not knowing what else to do.
"Sorry, I don't know what else to say. Sorry for not being what you deserve, I wanted to make a cake to celebrate your birthday, but I couldn't even make a fucking easy cake. I am a terrible person, I failed, just like dad failed. I wanted to be better for you, I wanted you to have everything I didn't have, and I feel like shit because I couldn't do it." Dean confesses tearfully as he clutches your figure in your mighty arms, and you can't help but cry in turn and hold him even tighter to you, and sob against his chest.
"Don't even joke about it, you have always been, are and will always be great. You are the only reason I didn't run away from Dad, because I wanted you, and I love you so much, that I can't leave you even for a second because you are a fundamental part of my happiness." You answer, in a voice just loud enough for him to hear you. "I love you, because of what you do and what you are, not because of what you feel obligated to do."
"I love you too little one, much more than you know." He confesses in turn. You stay like this for a while in each other's arms, doing nothing and enjoying each other's presence, until you propose something.
"How about we go see a movie, maybe one of the cartoons we like so much, and then tomorrow, since it's my birthday, we'll all have a cake together, with even those two assholes behind the door who are trying to hide." You comment, seeing Sam and Cas come out of the corner where they were hiding.
They, a little guilty, apologize but you say it's nothing and together they all went to see a movie together, like the beautiful and happy, if a little unfortunate in some (many) cases.
Now the story does not end here, but how about giving these poor people some privacy, I think they have suffered enough already. I hope this little story, good continuation and good research to the next fanfiction to read, from your prophetess Chuck-no sorry Becky is all, with love, to our next fanfiction.

Anime Update V3 3
Vinland Saga S2 - Arnheid went to see her husband in captivity. Wrong move. Gardar used her presence there to lure one of the guards to them and then bite out the guy's throat. No shitting, this was probably the most graphic thing I've seen depicted on this show! He convinces Arnheid to cut the ropes binding him so he can kill all the other guards and make his escape. Back at the farm, a talk between Thorfinn and Einar further establishes Thorfinn's desire to never kill or resort to violence in any conflict ever again, and to find some way of sufficiently and significantly atoning for every life he took, like creating a place where "no one needs a sword." Einar sas that such a place must be beyond man's reach, prompting Thorfinn to finally remember it: Vinland. He needs to go find Vinland!
Hunter x Hunter - After Killua ends up not only sparing Ikalgo but saving him, telling him he's cool and that they might've been friends under better conditions, he goes ahead and becomes the target of two aquatic Chimera Ant siblings (with one of them voiced by LittleKuriboh) as they throw fish darts at a special board that project the darts to skewer different parts of Killua's body, and it really seemed like Killua was a goner for a while, even after he turned the tables and decapitated the twins (which they're still alive after, don't worry!), he's at risk of dying until, wouldn't you know it, Ikalgo comes along to save his life! Some good deeds do get rewarded! The other episode I watched focused largely on Gon's sketchy alliance with Meleoron, who claims he wants to kill Meruem for having killed his father figure, and we see Meruem's off playing games with humanity. And I mean literally, he is challenging humans to different human games after learning the rules in record time, beating them, and killing them. And now he's to play Gungi...against a blind girl??? And the current ED credits suggests this goes somewhere pretty big.
SHUFFLE! - Summer is apparently fast approaching in this anime's world, which seems so foreign to me when we're currently in the midst of a cold winter season. The students all study for their final exams and undertake them, with Sia getting some help from Rin. There's also talk of rainy days and memories of when Sia met Rin.
Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works - The grand finale looms ahead, so you know what that means - the Rin/Shirou sex episode!
KonoSuba - This episode just kept changing gears on me, setting itself up to be about Darkness wanting to join Kazuma's party but Kazuma being resistant to her because he can see how masochistic she is and doesn't want another weird girl to put up with, then it centers on Kazuma learning the "Steal" ability from this white haired Yuffie Kisaragi-esque thief girl (and Kazuma can compulsively only swipe panties off from girls because of course he would), and then out of fucking nowhere, flying cabbages start migrating towards the civilization and all warriors are called to fight them so that they can be eaten, complete with casual and silly exposition on this little harvest season from Aqua, and Darkness shielding other knights from the cabbages' blows because she loves getting hit repeatedly. So Kazuma ends up accepting Darkness for a harvest job well done.
Symphogear XV - Episode 2 again does this thing where we're at one point in time but then flash back to what happened to lead up to it, only this time the past timeframe was last episode's present, where at least we're treated to some peak Kirika/Shirabe goodness, and they even manage to get the better of one of their new adversaries. S.O.N.G has taken in the mysterious Annunaki mummy they found in Antarctica, and Fudou is very displeased with his son and his workers as of late. Then Tsubasa and Maria do a joint concert that, as I'd expected, gets attacked by another new enemy and geezus, this psychotic freak actually managed to put Carol to shame in the heinous department, creating several casualties and even butchering an innocent child right in front of Tsubasa. She escapes justice for this and Tsubasa feels like a failure, as though she just lost Kanade all over again. Times are certainly getting bleak!
Eureka Seven - While Holland continues to grapple with his self loathing and how horribly abusive and irresponsible he'd been with Renton, the moment of dread comes when Renton opening up to his new dad Charles and outing himself as Adroc Thurston's child gets Charles to start prying more about the Nirvash and how things were like with Gekko State, and luring Renton right into a military sky assault where he comes clean about him and Ray being mercenaries for the Federation out to destroy Gekko State, and Renton's absolute devastation is itself devastating to watch. He seemed so close to a healthy home environment and a real family he could live peacefully with only to have the illusion broken, which conveys to him that no matter where he goes, warfare and his prior involvement in it will always follow him. Hence the episode's title being "Paradise Lost." Ray and Charles, to their credit, still love Renton like their own child and give him the choice whether or not to leave them. And he does.
Gintama - None this week.

CAS - Activity 6 March
The month of March I dedicated to a mixture of activity consisting of going to the gym and playing football. Over the course of the month I attended the gym for a total of 12 hours while played football for around 18 hours, which adds up to approximately 30 hours of activity over the course of four weeks.
I played in two matches, one against a team from Modlin called Joga Bonito and a local rival from ChoszczĂłwka called DKS. We came out victorious in the second confrontation, while barely losing in the first match, mostly due to a lack of an appropriate number of substitutes.
Due to a few changes in my personal life, I had to fundamentally reshuffle my entire schedule somewhere I the second part of March, which proved to be a struggle for the first few weeks, however, by the time April came this new approach helped me cope with the preparations to upcoming IB exams.
The main positive of taking part in so much activities, averaging around 1 hour every day is that I feel energized, healthy most of the time and have a well structured work-life balance. Nevertheless, in certain scenarios this much time spent on sports leaves me tired and exhausted, especially on week days, which is something I unfortunately have not found a solution towards, however, this is something I hope to improve upon in the future, potentially by working on my sleep schedule.

short reflection on progress with each of the Learning Outcomes
Identify their own strengths and develop areas for personal growth: These medical posts under the creativity strand were probably the most developed areas due to cas. While i developed significantly both in sports and service here i see the most improvement. My posts developed significantly and the account itself got more and more followers. The creation of these posts comes easier to me now and the final results are better.
Demonstrate undertaken challenges, developing new skills in the process: I have broken my leg long ago while skiing and didn’t want to ski ever since. Two years ago i went skiing again for the fist time after the accident demonstrating the undertaken challenge. The new skill developed is obviously my constantly improving skill to ski. This was generally a wonderful experience that got me to overcome my fears and Achieve something i was scared to even ting about.
Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience: Me and Bartek work together to create our raszTV presentations. This includes a lot of planning as we have to plan the time we will make the presentations together and also plan out who is going to be responsible for what in the process of sending the presentations of other people to our psychology teacher who is responsible for putting them up on screen.
Show commitment and perseverance in their CAS experiences: The experience that demonstrates my perseverance highest is my running journey which started with my personal project and continued ever since. It is very difficult to continue practicing a sport regardless of what life puts on you and how you feel at the moment. No sezon and no exam has changed my approach to running.
Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working Collaboratively: The part of my cas experience that shows my collaborative work best is when i was making the raszTV presentations with Bartosz panek. This was teamwork between the two of us as well as our psychology teacher as she is responsible for putting it up on the screen. Furthermore, we also have to collaborate with our friends and peers because they are also interested in putting u their presentations on the raszTV. We have to email them deadlines and requirements like a bibliography. This experience was wonderful and has taught me a lot about working collaboratively.
Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance: an example of my cas that demonstrates engagement with issues of global significance is my creativity medical account. This post i created based on the heart attack. It is a common problem and spreading knowledge on the risk factors and how to help a person that is currently having one is very important when it comes to the safety of our society. Besides that it also teaches me a lot about medicine and enchances my creative abilities when making eye pleasing medical posts.
Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions: This presentation demonstrates the ethics of my choices and actions as the posting of such presentation will most likely influence some lives of future MUN - attenders. Furthermore when it comes to the ethical aspect i also had to ask people that were mainly present on the pictures for consent for posting their photos on raszTV. The delegates in the background gave written consent before the mun started that allowed us to photograph and distribute their photos.

Family dynamics anon
I am so happy rn they changed the 14 subjects to 6!!!!!! Instead of having history geographic and be it’s own subject philosophy be their own subject with big ass books that made me depressed by just looking at them they took out geographic and combined history and philosophy together same goes with chemistry physics and biology all combined in one normal looking book math no longer has 30 lessons just 15 government French is now also going (I call it that cuz private schools add more subjects so we already take Al French and Al English)
And arabic they gonna add more reading lessons which is great news cuz that means I can butcher the grammar cuz and I’m speaking for most arabs grammar is literally just them wanting us to fail and it used to be HALF the grade last year the Arabic was to 40 grammar is 15 of those grades and it’s wasn’t even half a page I have basically gave up on trying to learn it and just focus on reading lessons cuz they are the other half they also added a month to the school year so instead of 3 we get 4
Why they did all of this is cuz we have a new school minister in Egypt and the last one was pretty shity like he let teachers just not teach at all kids in public schools would be lucky if they were even let into the classrooms for the last two years before he was fired exams were being leaked left and right and the tests were so fucking hard my mid term 9th grade history test had a few questions about something a lesson that was taken out and tests were being swapped people would pay money to get someone to take someone’s test and write their child’s name on it i know two people who had this happen to them unfortunately so i hope this year it’s different
Also Moral of the story im praycuz this is just a miracle by allah that they started this change with my year 🙏 cas I ain’t failing this year I’m telling you now!! ✊
Awww I'm so excited for you! This is wonderful, and I believe in you!!! Keep me updated, I can't wait to hear how amazing you do!

Learning outcomes reflection
LO1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth Through my cooking and baking activities- for example baking the chocolate cake - I became more aware of m ability to follow the processes with preseicion in the recipies. I also realized I needed to improve my attention to presentation. LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process Tutoring Maks in preperation for the primary school exams was a challange. I had to learn how to adjust to his pace, rethink how I explain concepts. Over time, I devleoped new teaching skills.
LO3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience I planned my workouts and cooking sessions, setting goals for improvement and deciding how to track progress, for example noting the weights. LO4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences I have stayed consistent with long-term service, so the math tutoring sessions, which required real perseverance. Despite often schedule changes I stayed comitted to helping. LO5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively The tutoring was a form of collaboration - it taught me to work with someone younger, and adjust based on feedback. Maks and I worked together toward a shared goal, adn over time I can say i have seen immense progress in his skills. LO6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance Throughout my journey, I engaged with the issue of educational inequality, which is a global concern present in nearly every country. While my tutoring of Maks was a local act of support, the broader significance lies in the value of accessible, personalized education for students facing academic barriers.
LO7: Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions In tutoring I began to reflect more on how my actions affect others. It was done through the responsibility of teaching and the consequences upon others that I inflict with my actions.
