First con since April! I know that doesn't seem like very long, but it's a long time for me after averaging one a month for a while. Charlotte Con was a blast and a bit of a unique experience with the strikes ongoing but that didn't put a damper on ops!

Nate Torrence was a delight. One of my favorite parts of the weekend was listening to Rich fanboy over Nate TO Nate on stage - just absolute joy.

I love Drake so much, I wish I got to enjoy his presence at every con. The mini-moose brings me joy <3

I will forever call them "the kids" because they are almost young enough to be mine - such a delightful group of talented young people.

I had the joy of surprising my friend Christine with this op with the boys and the Impala. Her first Jared squishy hug <3

I do not like selfies at all so I always avoided the selfie pose, but I keep seeing other people's photo with the pose and they are always so flattering so I decided to use MishMish as a guinea pig and try it. Pretty happy with the results, I gotta say.

On the other hand, I apparently no longer even need to ask for my squishy hug... the moose saw me coming and just opened his arms <3

In all the times I've been to cons since they started offering ops with the Impala, I've never actually done them, but had to make an exception here for this exceptional restoration.

All in all Charlotte was up there among favorite cons, not the least of which was because of these wonderful ladies that I had the pleasure of getting to know.

Could you possibly do a Hiro x reader (fem or gn) where the Reader goes to their first comic con in cosplay with him?

Hiro is not a stranger to comic cons but his costumes are always kinda mediocre and simple. He doesn’t have hundred of dollars to blow on costumes and wigs or the sewing skills required to make any of them. So when you agree to go with him to your first comic con he gets an umph in his costuming because you can’t do his makeup for him.

You two are definitely the Beast Boy and Raven duo. They’re cheap easy costumes to thrift and give you the creative liberties to paint yourself a gray-ish color and put on dark eye makeup and paint your boyfriend green and glue on fake elf ears with eyelash glue onto him.

And he’s genuinely excited about it. Like it’s the most accurate of a costume he’s ever had and the best part is that he gets to share it with you.

“Okay, be careful. The paint is water activated so don’t get any water in your face.” You pointed.

He’s a little preoccupied trying not to close his mouth because the glue you used to put fangs in his teeth hadn’t dried yet. His jaw starts to hurt so he’s not exactly listening.

You’ve never known Hiro to be one that likes to take photos. In fact when he has to take family vacation photos he nearly cusses Tadashi out when he wants to take multiple from different angles and different lighting. But when you guys actually get to the convention in your costume he wants to take more photos than you do.

“Hiro we’ve been hogging this spot. We’ve already taken like a million pictures, I think we’re good.”

“Just-bear with me. Plus, this is my first convention with you.”

“We can take more next time.”

And bro would actually freeze. Like when Renolds suggested that Charlotte and George were a perfect match and George went ‘you think?’

“Wait-you’ll come to another one of these with me?”

You rolled your eyes. “Umm duh, this was hella fun. Of course I’ll come with you. I’ll come with you every time!”

Hiro isn’t one for pda but right then and there he start up assaulted your forehead by kissing it repeatedly.

August 20, 2023 - Cons, birthdays, and spite.

Supernatural briefly trends, most likely due to combined incressed posting from Misha's birthday, Charlotte Con, and Supernatural's desire to annoy delight Tumblr users.

On August 20, Misha turned 49. It was also the last day of Creation Charlotte Con 2023 [x]. These are the most likely culprits of the trend, though we shouldn't be underestimating the show's ability to trend for no other reason than out of sheer spite.

Regardless, a number of panels from the con can be watched here [x]. This includes Misha's panel [x] which at the end includes the clip of his getting a birthday cake [x].
