Panda Tower, Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding,
The top of the curtain wall system of the Panda Tower has a mechanical system that opens the façade units according to programmed angles and speed on special days, such as the birth of new Giant Panda babies, the return of Giant Panda from oversea facilities, and important holidays and festivals. The opening of the façade resembles the sprouting of a bamboo shoot. The interaction with the visitors is eco-friendly and uses clean energy.

Why does no one talk about this😭
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Though born in the USA, two young panda twins were returned to China along with some complications. The pandas were so addicted to crackers that they had to be given crackers along with their food and water. They also grew up understanding some English phrases, such as "come here" but couldn't understand the Sichuan dialect of Chinese used on the Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base.

❀ a small about me ❀
Hi, I'm booki or simply ki。
I'm in my early 30's
I'm a multistan and follow many kpop groups and have been since 2007.
My top three are seventeen, stray kids, and ateez.
I also love txt, twice, day6, itzy, nct, super junior, bts, shinee, exo, monsta x (and wonho), got7, big bang, sunmi, chungha, queen wa$abii, futuristic swaver, flowsik, psy, KARD, a handful of western artists, and some j-pop/rock/rap as well.
I'm based in the US (CST). My best friend is Sky (@/yoonguurt).
I love animals and my favorites are snow leopards, red pandas, and giant pandas. (Though I'm pretty partial to any kind of bear and anything raccoon or fox-sized). I don't have any pets currently but plan on getting some soon.
My dream job is to work in China at the Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Center but I'll settle for a caretaker at Seoul Grand Park Zoo.
I used to be big into anime but I'm more of a casual fan now. My favorites of all time are: Haikyuu!!, InuYasha, Fruits Basket, Sailor Moon, and Tokyo Mew Mew. I used to cosplay and attended anime and comic book conventions for 12 years. Suffice it to say, I'm a veteran when it comes to anime and k-pop.
If you couldn't tell, I love the color pink lol
Something to consider:
My writing blog is 18+ and minors are not welcome.
Obviously, I can't stop yall from reading, just know if you are a minor and I see you interacting with my content, you will be blacklisted and blocked. No exceptions. 18+ means just that. 18 and older. If you don't have your age listed on your blog, you will be blocked. If your blog is blank (i.e: no header, no icon, no title, no reblogs) you will be blocked. The tiny robots that live and work inside [tumblr] will assume you are a bot if your blog is blank. If you're just here to read, I understand but at least customize your blog so the content creators you follow KNOW that you aren't a bot.
Lastly, this website is about sharing content. It's not like Instagram or Twitter. Likes, while appreciated, do absolutely nothing to boost our posts. Reblogs do. Side blogs are incredibly easy to make here. I would know, I have far too many than I care to admit. Please, please, please reblog and leave feedback. It helps us creators learn what readers like and dislike. It also helps our posts reach a wider audience.

Volunteering in a Chengdu Panda Base: All You Need to Know
Tumblr media
The Giant Panda is the national animal of China and has a special place in the cultural heritage of the country. Records dating back to the Xizhou Dynasty, i.e. around 1027 BC-771 BC show that people in those days considered the panda as a special animal and as strong and formidable as the tiger. It is, therefore, hardly surprising that this endangered animal is one of the major attractions for anyone visiting China. If you are thinking of observing the giant pandas closely in their natural habitat, then you can do that by becoming a Chengdu Panda Volunteer.
Your Role as a Panda Volunteer in Chengdu
The panda reserves of China often need the support of eager helping hands who can assist in taking care of these animals. In Chengdu, there are multiple panda bases, such as the Wolong Shenshuping Panda Base, Dujiangyan Panda Ark, and Bifengxia Panda Base. These bases create a perfect environment for the pandas to thrive. They also accept volunteers who are willing to work on the panda bases and interact directly with the pandas. As a volunteer, you are going to clean the panda enclosures, feed the animals, and learn about the habits and behavioral patterns of the captive pandas.
One of the main benefits of volunteering on these bases is that it allows you to have access to places and areas that are not open to other travelers. Apart from exploring the unique natural beauty of the region, you can also learn a lot about the lifestyle and habits of the giant pandas. This could be an eye-opening experience for you. At the end of your stint on the panda base, you are going to receive a volunteer certificate that is going to recognize all the efforts you have made as a panda volunteer.
Some Attractions of the Panda Volunteering Experience
Take a look at the major attractions of serving as a panda volunteer in Chengdu.
While working as a Chengdu Panda Volunteer, you can have a closer look at the activities of the pandas and this will to help you learn more about them.
You can develop a greater level of empathy and understanding about the giant pandas and this is going to eventually enable you to love these animals even more.
While at the panda base, you can decide for how long you want to work on a day-to-day basis. You may choose to work for the full day or only half the day.
The great thing about the volunteer program is that it can help you explore areas that are otherwise not accessible to other travelers. Such an experience can be both thrilling and educational.
The panda volunteer program also provides ample opportunities to explore the unique natural beauty of the region. This is yet another good reason for signing up as a volunteer in one of the panda bases in Chengdu.
Conclusion
Interacting directly with the giant pandas could be a life-changing experience for you. If you are looking to learn everything about being a panda volunteer in China, you can get in touch with AbsolutePanda to obtain all relevant information about such trips.

Photo by @amivitale. Who is ready for the weekend? Here, A baby panda snoozes in the trees at Chengdu Panda Base in Sichuan Province, China. Pandas spend half the day eating, and sleep at least a few hours between each meal. Panda cubs learn to climb trees early to avoid predators while their mothers forage for food. Although their diets do not provide adult pandas with much energy, baby pandas are playful and love to explore. One of my images, titled, Pandas Gone Wild, is currently available in the @vital.impacts Winter Collection. The profits will help support the next generation of environmental storytellers too.
