Reposted from @good.great.god To help us determine which kind of woman we are, we’re going to look at two lists. 👀 One is a list of women the world deems outstanding, and the other list is the characteristics of a godly woman from various scriptures, i.e. a woman of the Word. Worldly women have to work fastidiously to get to where they are and maintain it. Life is all about them. Any woman who chooses to chase after fame, money, and possessions is worldly. Based on the Bible’s definition, a woman of the word is holy, temperate, and loving. She is a discreet woman who is faithful. A woman of the word is a virtuous woman-Proverbs 31:10-31. She fears the Lord and walks in wisdom. The Bible says that men look on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart (1Samuel 16:7). A woman of the word focuses on having a clean heart, a sober mind, a submissive spirit, and a surrendered will. 👉🏻 Read, study, and apply the Bible to become a woman of the word👈🏻 The more time we spend with Jesus, who is the Word made flesh, the more the Bible soaks down into our souls. When it’s in us, God’s word will naturally pour out of us. That is how we are transformed from women of the world to women of the word. We learn the word of God and live it out!🕊 1 John 2:15 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. My first year being a Wife: What was once only a vision is now an actual tangible experience, I️ have learned and I️ have taught, but there are no rules to this role, like most things in life, experiences are the greatest teachers. So let me be clear, I️ am still learning! What has no second thought though is this, I’m really blessed and this was one of the greatest decisions I️ ever made, even in moments of human fear. Spiritually, there has always been great peace. “Perfect love cast out fear” -1 John 4:18. What no wife never told me is everyday I️ would literally feel myself changing, becoming a wife and joining my entire lifestyle with my husband forced me into womanhood in a different way. I am constantly being tested, but I always feel extremely loved and protected. I️ always tell myself “I️ got this” but what is inevitable is “God got me, God got us”. There is no challenge we don’t overcome, wow, I️ really get to go through everything in my life with my best friend❣️
