As he gets home from working the night shifts, he notices how you’re always hiding an object from him in a rushed manner. He trusts you in your relationship (which took a long time), so he knows that there is no need to suspect anything like cheating.

As it got closer to the 25th, you let him know that you were working on a surprise for him and that it would be ready for when he gets home on that day. He goes through that day excited for what you were going to give him.

On his way home, he had picked up a bouquet of roses from a local shop to give to you. He always loved small messages, and they were the iconic flower for ‘love and romance’. Even if you didn’t like the flower itself, it was the meaning behind it that he was trying to get across.

Once he entered the door, he was greeted by you giving him a hug and a kiss. He always told you that this was the best part of his day because you made him feel at-ease after a stressful day of dealing with animatronics.

You were flustered when he handed you the bouquet because you hadn’t expected him to get you anything. Gift-giving wasn’t your love language, so it was a bit out of the ordinary to get each other presents. 

You sat him down on the couch and told him to close his eyes as you went to go get his gift. He bounced his leg in excitement, giving the same energy as a golden retriever dog excited to see their owner after a long day. 

Once you place it in his lap, he sees that there’s a few more things on the coffee table. It was some more of his favorite energy drinks as well as a new video game. The gift in his lap was a picture of the two of you. A little while ago, you had taken a picture of the both of you on a date and decided that it was frame-worthy.

He pulled you into his arms after setting the photo on the table. He placed a few kisses on your face before placing one on your lips. You thought he was acting so adorable that you couldn’t help but coo at him, and he was soaking it up.

You were so worried that Kate hadn't returned any of your calls in the past week and her mom was arrested yesterday. You had your eyes and ears on the phone. You've been watching the news channels so much lately that you didn't care about the gangs that spread terror everywhere.

All you wanted was a message that your girlfriend was safe.

Even you yourself were tired of torturing yourself by remembering your last fight.

Your eyes are filled with tears. Your nose twitched again. You thought your tears had already run out. You're so tired and worn out, but you haven't heard from Kate.

You left the balcony floor where you collapsed with a tired sigh. Maybe even if it was Christmas, Kate wouldn't be near her. Your heart clenched and you stood for a moment on the doorframe. You've been beating yourself up for days and thinking of possibilities that should never have occurred to you, but it had never occurred to you. You didn't even give a chance. Because that's not what your Kate does. She was someone who always loved to give her love and attention. She was never a coward, she stood up and never gave up.

But ... what if she gave up?

What if she's gone?

"No, no," you said, trying to console yourself. Blinking your tired and sore eyes, you tried to get rid of the scary scenarios in your mind. "She will be back."

Kate didn't come back that day.

And in the last three days ahead of it.

When Christmas passed, you apologized to your family and made the excuse that you were too busy at work. You also added that you are planning something special with your girlfriend. They never made it a problem since they've known Kate since you were kids, and they invited you both on their next vacation.

'If she's here,' you stipulated. You didn't even know if she was alive or not.

The cops weren't very helpful to you. After people who returned five years after the blip, there were so many reports of missing persons that no one was even going to be given priority. Of course you were pissed that Kate wasn't on the priority line, but there was nothing you could do. She was all you could do, she.

In your shared flat, the house actually belongs to Kate, it had been a day or so since she had packed some of her belongings into the suitcases. You never gave up on Kate, but standing in a house full of her memories for twenty-four hours was torture. Also, the thought of her leaving you was growing stronger with each passing hour. You just hoped she wouldn't at least do it unawares. Even though she was never like that in all the long years you've known, you both became different people as you grew up. Maybe it was because of her college friends; Could she have hit her head? But you talked to all her friends. Maybe it was because your last fights were so violent? But each time you won each other's hearts.

God... Then why? Why hasn't your girlfriend been around for the last week and a half?

Didn't you do anything? Or have you done something wrong? Forgot to take out the trash? Did you hurt her? Did he think she had given up on him?

Or ... Did something happen to her?

Your heart is tight, you tightened the cabinet doors you were holding. The scattered image you could see in the mirror made you grimace. You looked awful. You're so devoted to finding Kate that you can't even remember if you ate a few hours ago. You didn't eat. Your weight dropped, your face sunk, and you always felt sad. Maybe you didn't realize that much until now, but Kate was the center of your life. She was by your side all your childhood. You grew up with it.

But she is no more.

You sighed.

You took your backpack from your bed, which had been tidy for days, and started pulling the suitcase that had been standing by the door. You didn't want to leave here, but the loneliness began to feel very difficult.

You closed doors that you left open. You're starting to check the windows for the last time. As you walked towards the hall, you heard low voices. Your heart pounded with fear and excitement. Could it have been Kate? Then who was the other person? You tried to maintain your composure.

Kate, who was arguing quietly with Clint, watched your arrival with longing. You stood at the entrance, looking at her expressionlessly. Kate wasn't used to you acting this way. However, she missed you so much that your actions did not go unnoticed. "Baby," she started to pace you.

But suddenly you took a step back, glaring at her sternly. At the same time, you didn't understand what you were doing. Kate hesitated at your movement. "Hold back." You said calmly.

"I know it's very confusing, but I'll explain everything to you-"

"I'm going,"

"You wouldn't believe what happened with Clint - What?" She didn't hesitate. "What do you mean I'm going?"

Your eyes touched the man she called Clint for a few seconds. "You stay with Clint. I mean, I'm going." You said keeping your calm. You weren't sure what to feel. "I'm sorry about your mother. Really. And if you have time, give my family some excuses, please."

"Y/N,"

"Thanks, Kate. Anyway. Nothing matters anymore, right? Besides, there's no excuse for me lying at the police station for a week and a half thinking something happened to you, right?" You mocked. "Oh, or it could be. I'm not worth it after all, huh?"

She gasped for thinking that way. Clint turned to Kate, realizing that the two of you were going to have a private conversation. "I'll be waiting downstairs." He left saying.

You looked behind the man with your mocking eyes. Besides being with the former Avengers member for weeks instead of being with you, she had even seen a message a lot. You couldn't forget that you slept in police stations at night. It's not that easy.

"Honey, I understand that you are angry." Kate began, but couldn't go on when you laughed nervously. Being angry? She really couldn't think that she was just angry. Disappointment burned all her cells. Weren't you justified in being angry?

"Anger? You think I'm angry?" You said with your voice getting louder. "Am I really angry? I've been running around for you for days, dead or alive, to find you. Just texting me was all it took."

"Everything happened so fast and dangerous. I didn't have time to tell anyone, I couldn't communicate with anyone."

"Then how did they arrest your mother?" ' you asked in a calmer tone. You weren't sure how to feel. Even being angry made you tired. Kate was tiring you out right now. Even if you're going crazy with longing, you can't ignore the part where you were wronged.

She didn't answer. Kate pushed you out of there as she started to put heroism at the center of her life. She didn't notice that. Right and wrong became the only thing that mattered to her as she faced the hero she had followed for years and fought back to back. Kate didn't really realize it, but she would understand that it was losing you. She had to set new priorities while you held her before her. Especially if he's going to keep doing this.

"I'm going, Katie," you said softly. You gripped your suitcase tightly and supported yourself from within. "Maybe it's your turn to think."

Analysis

So clearly I like starting with short sentences, as a majority of those are short sentences. I also have a tendency of starting in medias res or with something that's supposed to catch the attention of the reader.

+ looking at the first lines like this I'm noticing that I do seem to introduce 'important' themes/plot points from the fic in the first line

1. 'guilty pleasure' + the sentence is written in a way that has simon adressing the audience, like he addresses his followers in the fic

3. focus on sex, like how Ebb and Fiona's relationship revolves around it in the fic + Ebb is the one who pleasured Fiona, not the other way around, set up for how Ebb is always bending over backwards to please Fiona with hardly any reciprocation

4. Baz packing Simon's lunches is the trigger for Simon talking about his 'girlfriend' at work + Baz does something for Simon that is traditionally done by a woman for her partner, so he 'takes on' that feminine roll that Simon pretends he has in their relationship when he doesn't say that it's not a girlfriend he has but a boyfriend to his colleague,

5. simon technically knows the person the phone number belongs to because he wouldn't have a phone number from a stranger written down on his notebook, but he doesn't *actually* know who it is, which mirrors the way he thinks he knows baz but *truly* gets to know him through their text messages in the fic,

6. this one can't possibly be perceived by someone reading the fic, but when i wrote it i was giggling to myself because i liked the idea of having baz struggle with 'packing bags' a lazy metaphor for moving on (you know, that overused image of a packing your things and leaving a situation), because that boy LIVES with everything that has ever happened to him burdening him constantly, while having simon speedrun through 'moving on' because he just doesn't think about bad things (he doesn't think about Ebb's death until Baz comes in with all that literal and metaphorical emotional bagage for him -he literally packed something for Simon that is very emotionally-charged and brings back difficult memories)

7. Simon thinking coldly and rationally about a broken leg, because that's something he's used to (doesn't freak him out and anymore) and that he therefore knows (can tell that his leg is probably broken), which is a consequence of the way the Mage treats him like a weapon

8. the general notion of domesticity + setting up the sweet, fluffy mood of the fic

Here With Me Part 10 || Taylor Makar

Nine

As expected, Taylor had gotten an ‘atta boy’ response from Mark and an inquiry from his parents whether they were still on for their nightly phone call. It had gone about as well as expected when he called after Kelsey had left, he knew his parents were a little reserved about him being in a new relationship but his dad had certainly been impressed that Kelsey was pre-med. 

Though he was still basking in Kelsey finally being his, Taylor had to focus on their upcoming game at Fenway. He was excited to be skating in a game on outdoor ice but they really needed to win. 

Ultimately though, things were still not clicking and despite all the fanfare they left Fenway empty handed. 

Back on the bus headed home, Taylor saw a text message from Kels. He wasn’t sure what he had been expecting but a tastefully seductive pic of her underwear clad body had not been it and it left his mouth completely dry and his dick half hard in his sweats. 

Holy shit. 

His girlfriend was trying to kill him. 

Fidgeting in his seat, Taylor tried to get comfortable but that was suddenly a new level of difficult.

Waking up, Kelsey saw that Taylor had replied to her flirtatious text the night before. She hadn’t really gotten to wear lingerie for Taylor before and she was anxious to see what he would think of some of her not so standard pieces. 

Tucking more practical panties in her bag for after sex, Kelsey grabbed the bottle of warming lube Taylor had gotten her for her birthday and threw that in her bag as well before checking to make sure she had her phone, wallet, and keys. 

Slipping downstairs, Kelsey moved to grab her shoes and coat only to be stopped by her dad asking where she was going. 

Not yet ready to tell her parents that she was dating someone because she knew that they would insist on meeting Taylor immediately, she played it off that she was going to get brunch with one of her girlfriends with whom she had an arrangement that they would always cover for each other in lies to the parents with no questions asked. Though her dad didn’t seem to buy her casual wear as brunch wear Kelsey shrugged and declared that they were both feeling lazy this morning and that it wasn’t a big deal. 

Finally getting her dad off her back, Kelsey proceeded outside to clean off her car, finally texting Taylor that she was on her way. 

It was a little farther of a drive to his apartment from her parents, about 35-40 minutes, but when she got there the anticipation kicked back in. This was going to be the first time she was with Taylor now that they were together and she couldn’t wait to see if that changed anything between them. 

Climbing out of her car and grabbing her bag, Kelsey made her way through the little bit of slush outside before getting to Taylor’s door where she knocked softly. After a moment the door swung open and one of Taylor’s roommates appeared in front of her. She was fairly certain it was Lucas Mercuri but couldn’t say that for certain. 

“Hey T. Your girl is here.” He called out regardless of who he was and he motioned for her to come in. She felt his eyes on her for a minute before he just shrugged and murmured that she knew where Taylor’s room was and walked away. 

Making her way to the second bedroom, Kelsey nearly ran into Taylor as he was coming out of his room. 

“Hey.” He stated, his face lighting up in a smile. 

“Hey yourself.” She replied, pressing up to peck his lips softly. “You should uh make your way right back inside your room.” She added coming back down onto her feet flatly. 

“Right to it huh?” Taylor laughed but complied, backing up and closing the door once she was inside his room. With a closed door behind them, Kelsey pressed up and draped an arm around Taylor’s neck pulling him into a heated kiss. Pushing her jacket off, Taylor promptly dragged her over toward his bed, continuing to kiss her as he lifted her up onto it. 

Holding him close between her thighs, the intensity of the kiss continued to increase and Kelsey slid her fingers along the edge of his shirt pushing under it to lift up. As her fingers pushed up, Kelsey felt Taylor’s breathing start to shallow and she broke the kiss looking up at him. 

“Are you okay Taylor? You didn’t get hurt last night did you?”

His eyes weren’t showing pain and he hadn’t flinched at all when she touched him so Kelsey was left considering alternatives as to why his breathing would be shallow. All she could come up with was that he was anxious for some reason and she reached up pulling him into a hug, her fingers tangling into his hair. 

“You know we don’t have to do anything you don’t want to.” She whispered softly confused as to why he was suddenly anxious when this wasn’t their first time being intimate. 

Holding him for a minute, Kelsey pulled back finding his gaze more centered. Kissing along his jaw, Kelsey pressed a softer kiss to his lips putting control of the pace and intensity into his hands. As that kiss slowed she pulled back and shifted to slide up the bed, patting the spot beside her for him to come up too. 

“This is your show T. I’m all yours.” Kelsey whispered. With him sitting beside her, his back against the wall, Kelsey twisted and closed the gap, kissing him softly once more. 

And that’s what they did for at least the next twenty minutes, they kissed. Kelsey played with his hair and Taylor’s thumb slid under her hoodie, brushing the soft skin of her hip in the smallest way. Eventually he shifted, pulling her onto his lap as he centered himself in the middle of the twin mattress. 

Straddling him, Kelsey ground down against him just slightly needing the contact. He felt so good and her head was swirling with emotion. He was hers and it had been a long time since she could say that. Plus, it certainly hadn’t felt like this with any previous boyfriends. 

Kissing him again she continued to play with his hair, sighing into his mouth as his hands slipped up her back under her hoodie until they reached her bra. 

“Kels is that…” Taylor mumbled against her mouth as his fingers explored the lace. 

“Why don’t you find out.” She breathed, smiling into the kiss while lifting her arms for Taylor to pull the hoodie off of her. 

He did, thereby breaking the kiss, and Kelsey watched as his jaw dropped seeing the red lace bra covering her chest. His eyes darkened as well and Kelsey shivered as he just looked at her half nude body, his expression full of want. 

“See something you like?” She teased softly, enjoying having his full attention like this and feeling his want against her thigh. 

“God Kels…” He breathed, his hands grazing lightly over her torso. “You’re so gorgeous. I just want to…” His voice trailed off as it got thicker and Kelsey threaded a hand through his hair again. 

“All yours Tay.” She reminded him, gasping as he wrapped his hands around her hips before carefully leveraging up to roll her underneath him. Spread out under him with him kneeling between her thighs, Kelsey looked up at him a little breathless. 

“Such a turn on T.” She giggled, loving how strong he was to move her so effortlessly. Pulling him down for another kiss, Kelsey slipped her hands down along his shoulders admiring how big and broad he was. Someone his size could be intimidating yet Taylor just made her feel so safe. Somehow she knew that he would never hurt her. 

This time when Taylor broke the kiss he trailed his mouth down over her shoulder, dipping down over her clavicle, and over the tops of her breasts. This was a new way of being kissed for Kelsey and she just tipped her head back against the pillow sighing happily at the way his mouth worshiped her. 

From the tops of her breasts, Taylor skipped down to her ribs and stomach, stopping at the edge of her sweatpants. “Can I take these off to look at you?” He asked softly, words almost muffled by her stomach. 

Brushing a stray strand of hair out of his face Kelsey nodded and raised her hips so he could slide the sweats off of her body. With Taylor getting the full picture, matching panties and all, she watched his adam’s apple bob as he swallowed hard. 

“I swear you’re not real.” He mumbled, his voice broken with arousal. 

“I promise I am.” Kelsey replied, crooking her finger for him to return within reach for her to kiss him.

“Do I get to see some skin too?” She asked, softly brushing her fingers against his sides, lifting the hem of his shirt just slightly. 

Sitting up a bit, Taylor tugged his shirt over his head and Kelsey sighed happily because yeah that was what she wanted. He was gorgeously strong and she certainly appreciated the view. His low groan made her smile and she drew him back in for a kiss. 

“That’s my boy.” She mumbled. 

Immediately Taylor’s eyes darkened and his kiss became fierce as he reached with one hand over to his bedside drawer presumably for a condom. 

“Fucking hell Kels.” He mumbled sliding a hand to tug at her bra just wanting the lace off of her now as much as he enjoyed it. Reaching to help him, she unfastened it from behind her back before letting him pull it off his body and tossing it onto his floor. 

With him now pressed chest to chest with her as his mouth dipped to her neck, Kelsey slid her hands to grope at his ass, admiring the gluteal muscles hockey had given him. Sneaking her hands under his sweats and boxers to feel his skin, she hummed softly. 

He had a great ass and she wanted to admire him fully sans clothes so she pushed at his clothing signaling that he should take them off.

So this Christmas my girlfriend got me this cool adapter that lets me adapt Canon FD lenses to my Canon EOS R. So basically I can use vintage film lenses on my mirrorless. Honestly I’m in love with vintage glass, I have only a hand full of them, but I never spent more than $50 on any lens and the images that come out are amazing. I had a couple of my photography buddies completely blown away that I’m using vintage lenses. Here are two of my favorites, my 50mm f1.8 and my 135mm f2.5. Both super clean, take amazing photos, the bokeh is butter and you can’t tell if this is a modern lens or a vintage lens. My 50mm is a perfect for not only portraits, but great for street photography. My 135mm is perfect for nature and wildlife photography. Not something I do a lot of, but would definitely love to do more of it, but mainly because I own a 135mm for it. I hope to get a 300mm one day as well. Now there is some cons and pros for using vintage lenses. Pros are, not as expensive as modern lenses, like I said I never spent more than $50 on a lens. There are some great ebay deals out there, there are some very expensive FD lenses, that run in the $1,000’s, but those were for making movies. You’re not buying cheap plastic, all these lenses are well made and made of metal. You don’t have to use Canon name brand lenses, as long as it has the FD mount, there are other brands out there that are nice in price and still have the same image quality. Now for the Cons, all the lenses will have to be manual focus, now that is pretty obvious to a lot of photographers, but this is something a lot of photographers will not like and will miss autofocus. Taking videos, there is no auto stabilization, so you will need a gimbal and you will have to manually focus as recording. It can be done and I’m sure that will not bother others, you can buy an adapter with built in autofocus, but that’s $300 for that. Another thing is shopping for the right lens, now I normally recommend ebay, just make sure you read the description. Since these lenses are old, they can develop dust in the glass and fungus. Also I have read where some actually have mold in them, but message the seller if they’re description is vague on the lens. Another con is these will make your weather sealed or weather proof camera not weather sealed or proof. I definitely learned that the hard way one photoshoot. I got a little moisture on my sensor one day when it was raining, thinking I would he good because I’ve shot before in the rain with my RF lens and was completely fine. Now for the last con, some of these lenses are heavy! My 135mm is super heavy, because they are made a of metal and not the cheap plastic you spend $1,000’s of dollars on. So trying hold focus on hold the lens is a sometimes a struggle. I linked the adapter up top of this post and they sell other adapters for other cameras as well.

-Are you serious @GoldenD3er?" some random person answered about a joke he would do to his worst enemy.    -"Of course @Ashen_Demon, that's one of many of ideas in my head. Nice nickname by the way"     

 --Next stop: Riegan Av. --- announced a voice in the megaphone   

-Oh, so soon? - he asked himself while keeping the phone. Once in the street, Claude stretches his legs, enjoying the view of a calm city in the evening, but the travel wasn't over, he opened again his phone and asked for an Uber, there were buses that could take him home, but there was something important to do and little time to do it.

Once in the car and in the privacy of the back seat, he pulled out again his phone, logged out of twitter and entered again, this time with another account: Username: @Fallen_Star. 

It was a special account where he follow profiles a bit more… spicy. For example, artist drawing fictional characters with less clothes than the original designs, people posting links to mature fanfiction of famous books and movies, and his favorites, people showing their photos in daring postures and outfits.

There was something alluring, seeing people without embarrassment or doubts, showing them to the world just how they like without worries, in poses and clothes that made his imagination run wild, it always aroused him without fail, sometimes even more than her girlfriend.

Some months ago, somehow he won a Christmas raffle of a famous woman , the prize a “Sexy Christmas pack”, including the most basic stuff but the most funny for him was normal black underpants with just a little image of a deer, as a reference to Santa’s sleigh, but it didn’t had any christmas decoration or figure on it. “It was the only thing I could get in time” was the answer thought a direct message while thanking her for the gift. “And tell me, could we see you using that?” she asked “If you want I could share it in my account, you know I’m a big star here babe, one retweet from me and you’ll be really famous ;)”

The idea resounded in his head for the next days, could he really became as famous as one of the many account he follows? He considered himself handsome, and constant exercise in the university gym made his body well formed, but could he endure to show his face and exposed body to the wotrld? … “Well maybe not the face…”

It was amazing how the internet works, one day you are a no one, then a bit of luck occurs with a raffle, you publish a photo of yourself with a simple deer mask and an underpants with a little deer, and the next day you have more than 1k followers asking for more.

At first the photos were only aimed to his torso, but with every new entry and upload his shyness began to fade, leading to more spicy photos highlighting more private zones.

Using his photograph knowledge thanks to his classes and having a wide apartment made easier to create unique scenarios and fresh material, keeping him busy and especially fun.

Once in the apartment, he immediately changed for that day session, the classic deer’s underpants combined this time with birthday’s accessories.

“Al right, let’s see – he said out loud checking the material in his laptop – We’ll use these ones, the birthday hat seems nice right in my… and the color it also alright, a bit blurry but it will work. Now, let’s write the special message…”

Her cellphone sounded, showing the new notification, the bus was almost empty and there was no one close to see her screen, so no need to wait. She was hoping for that special announcement since weekend, “please be good, please be good” she thought before reading.

Some minutes later he heard the door closing, he left some minutes pass and stood up, heading to the dark room and getting everything ready to some quick shoots before going to school.
