Aussergewöhnlich lange musste ich 2021 warten bis es endlich wieder auf Motorradreise ging und dies auch bloss für 10 Tage. Die Offroad-Pisten der Westalpen waren das Ziel, dazu sollte die ganze Ausrüstung und Technik auf Praxistauglichkeit für den anstehenden Südafrika-Trip getestet werden. Tag 9 Col de la Cayolle

Das war eine gemütliche Tour über den recht flach ansteigenden Cayolle mit vielen Pausen. An der Passhöhe war totaler Frieden, so gut wie kein Verkehr, nur vereinzelt ein paar Radler, eine sehr entspannte Atmosphäre mit schöner Hochgebirgsaussicht. Nach einem kleinen Plausch mit anderen Radlern gabs noch den restlichen Proviant von gestern. Der französische Radler mit seinem 30 Jahre alten Bianchi Rennrad (Heldenübersetzung) hat sich sehr gefreut als ich nach einem Foto gefragt habe und mir das Rad direkt in die Hand gedrückt. Dann ging’s wieder ab ins Tal. Die Straße war echt kurvig und nicht sehr gut…Löcher, Rillen, alles dabei. Dann Pause und Kaffee, lecker essen und ein Eis. Weiter ging’s, dann Pause am Bergsee. Hui war das kalt 🥶 🤏. Schnell rein und wieder raus, dann ein ausgiebiges Sonnenbad. Die restlichen 20km waren schnell geschafft. Das Dorf Guillames ist irgendwie so gut wie tot. Die 80er Jahre Hotelanlage sieht so aus als wäre hier nie was geändert wurden. Das lebt hier scheinbar nur noch von der Route Grandes Alpes. In der letzten Kneipe im Ort hatten wir einen mittelmäßigen Burger zum Abendessen. Jetzt gibts im braun gekachelten Wohnzimmer/Küche noch französisches-Trash-Fernsehen vom feinsten 🙄. 65km 1200hm
