Sadie smiled at the familiar sight of James sitting on his bed. He looked at her and smiled back. Even though his eyes had lost their usual sparkle, his smile still felt like home. “Hello, you,” he said.

“Hello, you,” she said too. “Please excuse the loungewear; I thought comfortable was best,” she chuckled.

“Hey,” he winked, gesturing at his own clothes, “This is what we do, right? I wasn’t planning on going out tonight.” “Good, me neither,” Sadie said as she sat down next to James. It felt familiar and soothing to sit here, on this bed, next to him again, yet it also brought on an almost overwhelming sense of sadness.

Sadie sighed deeply and then looked at James. His eyes were locked on her, too. “Hi,” she said.

“Hi,” he replied, his eyes looking downcast.

man being mostly housebound/frequently bedbound sucks majorly but i am proud of myself for creating a pleasant environment in my room. like yeah i have to spend most of my time in bed but at least i can plug in my fairy lights/light my scented candles/look at the cute prints i hung on the wall/luxuriate in my comfy blanket about it. if you have to spend most of your time at home like me i'd highly recommend investing in creating a nice environment for yourself if you can!!
