Lately I’ve been playing exclusively in my kids’ creative world where I’ve been building things in for them to explore. We named it ‘The Nine Realms’ because right next to spawn I built this floating hub. I call it ‘Himinbjorg’, after a reference to the home of the Norse god Heimdallr, and each of the 8 rainbow-colored-towers has a command block that will teleport them to a different far-off biome, or “Realm”. Each Realm in turn has a command block that will teleport them back to Himinbjorg, allowing them to explore and play in a variety of different biomes without having to physically travel there.
I’ve been searching for a way to set up a simple command block shop for my (BedRock) Minecraft Realm, so I wouldn’t have to fiddle around with scoreboards or anything like that - and I finally found a guide for one that works in 1.19! It checks for how many levels you have and removes a certain amount and trades you an item for it. I wanted to share it for y’all.
I watched Lizzie's ”building a sunflower druid grove” video and as the biggest sunflower enthusiast on earth, i had to draw her as a sunflower druid :]
I was re-watching the Ryloth arc and I couldn't help but notice,
I love how Obi-Wan's arm immediately goes to block Cody, he extends his hand out and it's not in the form of a fist, it's flat, it's an attempt to block as much of Cody's chest as possible. Cody takes a full step back to, mainly to get into position to shoot. But he's preparing himself to move behind Obi-Wan, who'd need enough room to swing his lightsaber to block blaster shots.
Obi-Wan's first instinct is to protect Cody, his second is to ignite his lightsaber. Obi-Wan protects Cody before protecting himself and others. His lightsaber would give enough cover for all his men, but his body would only cover Cody's.
In the second frame, Obi-Wan puts his hand on Cody's gun first before turning off his lightsaber. Now, he does know what is about to come out of the grate before his men do, which is partially why he wants to stop Cody. Cody putting down his weapon would signal to his men that there is no danger, however, turning off his lightsaber would do the exact same thing. But he chooses to stop Cody first.
After Obi-Wan puts his hand on Cody's gun, notice how long he looks at Obi-Wan. Cody's guard is down, he doesn't keep his eye on the grate like his men do, he doesn't even try to keep his blaster aimed, also unlike his men. Cody doesn't break contact with Obi-Wan until he does, it's in that moment we understand how much Cody trusts Obi-Wan with his life.
the fact that there’s an entire arc in tcw dedicated to how giving someone your lightsaber shows trust in a romantic connotation and codywan has not one, but TWO scenes with this drives me up a fucking WALL.
their relationship is built, inherently, on the mutual trust and respect they have for each other, and this is just. an extremely beautiful way to show that.
especially with Cody handing Obi-Wan the saber with the emitter facing himself. he fucking loves and respects and trust Obi-Wan so deeply and that is what makes their relationship SO refreshingly good
Obi-Wan propped up on one elbow. Cody was just about to fall asleep, but the sudden movement, the dip in the mattress, made him wake.
“Cody?” Obi-Wan whispered. Cody hummed in response.
“Would you still have fallen in love with me if I was a non-human species?” Cody frowned, opening one eye to look up at Obi-Wan, surprised at the question.
“Of course, it would still be you.” Even in the darkness Cody could see that there was something like relief on Obi-Wan´s face, but it quickly disappeared.
“Even if I was a wormish species?” Cody´s confusion was growing, as was the almost anxious, worried tone in Obi-Wan´s voice as his questions became more ridiculous.
“If you still had your personality, of course,” Cody simply said. It was the truth. Obi-Wan got quiet, and Cody hoped it was the end to this weirdly specific conversation. But just when he was preparing to attempt to fall asleep again, Obi-Wan inhaled deeply, letting himself fall back on the mattress. Now it was Cody´s turn to roll over, looking at Obi-Wan. “What is it?” he asked, gently.
“What if I´d been a Hutt?” Obi-Wan asked without looking at him. Cody couldn´t help but snort.
“Well, I strongly doubt that you´d be a Jedi in that case, given their physiology. So we most likely wouldn’t have met.” Obi-Wan smiled a little. “But if we had… Then I´d still love you.” Obi-Wan closed his eyes, humming.
“That´s sweet of you, dear,” he said. “There has been a huttese Jedi, just so you know. It was a long time ago and it didn´t end well.” Cody frowned again. Or did he ever stop? Even if he´d tried, Cody couldn’t have predicted a single turn this conversation took. What had moved Obi-Wan to ask this? What was he worried about? All of those questions would have to wait until morning, as Obi-Wan started gently snoring next to him. Cody shook his head in amused disbelief before going back to sleep too.
