if there's one thing I've learned from the (MCU) moon knight fandom, it's that some people (specfically people who are not from any of these places) are really good at writing a British accent but not the Midwestern accent, and vice versa.

Ok, with all of this distressing situation of people using AI to steal the essence of Ghibli for their own entertainment, as well as using AI as a literal replacement for multiple things, including jobs and with more and more people speaking out about the problem, there's something that I really need people to keep in mind:

I've seen this ginormous hypocrisy going on with people, especially artists that complain about AI replacing them and are worried about the outcomes, only for them to just use Character AI with no repercussion or worry. First off, the word AI is literally in the name of the app, how can you call out anyone who uses AI in the slightest way possible (which you should) and then just use C.AI as if that's any different from the others. Secondly, what makes you think that it doesn't harm writers the same way AI art harms artists? I don't remember where, but I saw a post about a writer calling the app out since they found out the AI STOLE from their fanfic for their text box.

Third, and this is probably the most disturbing part: This AI, in particular, is quite literally exploiting people's loneliness and necessity for a connection. Again... This probably sounds ridiculous from me but genuinely think about it, there's no denying that the main reason for many people to use C.AI is to engage with characters that are very meaningful to them, to find a comfort zone, a safe place to escape from reality and to vent out things they feel, and that is worrying, a LOT. I understand that many are going or have gone through a lot and have failed to express themselves to others and therefore, vent out to the characters they've always loved and related to (I did this in the past), but that's the thing, THE AI DOES NOT CARE, it's not entirely sentient and it's just saying what they look for to say and sometimes even stealing other people's words from works they've put a lot of passion in to say to you and give you the idea that you're being listened to when you're not, the AI is just saying what you want to hear, giving a false illusion that someone is understanding when, there is no one, just an AI.

And of course, don't even get me started on the whole "people using the app to let out their fantasies and sexual thoughts with 0 repercussions, but it's OK, it's an AI :))))))" that's disturbing as well.

In conclusion, also include C.AI on the list of AI products you should avoid using and there's a lot of people like you, it'll take time to find them but they understand.

i know how difficult it can be to support Christianity when you see 'Christians' acting the way they do. trust me, i know. my (bio) father was one of them. but i'm choosing not to give up on God, because these people are not God. human nature is not representative of God.

i would appreciate it if people would stop using religion as a weapon, also. other Christians (read: my (bio) father) do it to me all the time, and i'm literally one. it needs to stop.

I'm excited to see the Queen!Elite finally in-game (as at this point there's little doubt in my mind and they'll make it in the next update), but I'm not sure if I have any theories about them particularly. I don't know if Blind Mew is going to go in the original direction that might've been intended for them or if he's going to change routes. If there's anything to expect, based on those leaked 'dialogues', then they might be the 'sisters' of the Elite.

They all have Moretta masks underneath their current masks, so much like my observation of Queen herself, her Elite are probably copying her direction and misleading the nobles while holding some political influence over Valencia. They're carrying out Queen's (discreet) plans to start holding power over whatever it is that she wants. I still like the idea of her eventually overthrowing the King and Queen, but with Blind Mew's insistence, probably done in a more unobtrusive way, and executing this with her own Elite is a good direction to go in.

I have very little to go off of as we know 1% about Queen and Sam's reveals about her are usually cryptic and small. But if Queen's deal is more about political image, manipulation, and deceit, then her Elite will probably follow in her shoes. Kane had his Court fulfilling separate roles - so why not the girls as well?

I am just intrigued as to where this all falls into place with Oksana, if dealing with Queen (and her potential court) is going to be its own thing or inevitably clash with...whatever we're doing with the necromancer in the pirate game.

And I mean, I get it. They represent queen chess pieces like the Queen herself - which is why they look like that. But I wish they didn't share the same model and had a *bit* more diversity to them body-wise like the original Elite did. I would think a Queen counterpart to Rooke would be a dragoon like him. But then again, they changed their minds on Roberto's model, so I guess some changes in this department isn't *impossible*.

If anything, I would like them to have more diversity with their weapons - I think Queen!Bishop's staff and Queen!Deacon's derringer are perfect, but Queen!Phule deserves her own marotte and Queen!Rooke should get. Like. A Big Ass Weapon or something.

Also hoping they'll be recurring figures in the story that aren't just killed in one-off fights, and have something unique or notable about them. It's not that I want to recycle the previous plot in 'slowly taking down each Court member to reach the Big Bad', but the Queen designs are SO GOOD and so COOL that they have a lot of potential, and I'd hate to see them thrown away to kill them in a one-off thing to focus on Oksana instead.

Another thing pointing back to my Queen theories -- the reason the Elite had been so special and separate from the rest of the Armada is because Kane was able to construct clockwork minds that (arguably) gave them their own free will, (albeit likely limited) emotional capability, and personality. Does this mean Queen learned how to do this as well? Did she construct the Queen!Elite? Had she made the same initial mistake Kane did, with Queen!Phule, or did she purposefully model her with the same imperfections? How much of Kane's ideals does she truly share in regards to her goals?

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I absolutely love the recs you've given (you've introduced me to tomione, and I love it!) and I was wondering if it's possible to give you some recs in return? There are some books and fics that definitely have dramione / got vibes, and I was wondering if I could share them with you!

So glad you've enjoyed them! Feel free to rec me anything you want. I've read most of the classic recs in terms of fic and adjacent content (Cruel Prince et al), but I'll try anything that's well-written. My tastes run towards weird and/or audaciously creative stuff, and I can forgive a lot of weaknesses in plot on the grounds of (1) ambition or (2) character work. My turnoffs are instalove, protagonists who can't fail, and most Y/A (I'm not a hater, I swear, I just need characters who can say "fuck" when their leg gets chopped off.)

I'm also a fan of weird and fucked-up dynamics.(Wuthering Heights was my favorite book for a while, and as a teenager I wrote an AU in which the book ends on a long sex scene where Heathcliff fucks Cathy's ghost and then immediately gets murdered by Catherine 2.) Obviously, I am very normal.

Which you like more, Humanoid Shroud or pet Shroud.

For a good few years I've had a huge obsession with humanoid Shroud, purely for the fact it'd be cool for cTommy to be a standalone older brother/father figure to someone, and Shroud was the easiest victim. I really liked to brainstorm what kind of dynamic they'd have, what cTommy's raising/parenting style would be, how Shroud would be affected by it, and just stuff like that. In all honestly I still am lol.

However, I have since gained a mild obsession with spiders, especially tarantulas, so now I project my dream pet onto cTommy. I find it really entertaining to imagine cTommy with a pet spider, because it kind of emphasizes the whole "lover of the unloved" and because I like cTommy with scary dog privileges in the form of a giant, eight-legged apex predator that he treats like a person or a very spoiled dog/cat.

In short: I used to like humanoid Shroud for the kid aspect of it, but now i prefer pet Shroud because I want a pet tarantula and it'd be really funny!!

saw a post of someone unironically claiming there is some large conspiracy of cis women with PCOS identifying as transfeminine... so out of touch. ime the vast majority of people with PCOS are cis women who are offended to even be considered intersex. online spaces focused on PCOS are kinda transphobic and mostly focus on weight loss and restoring your natural (read: female) hormonal balance and whatnot. like sorry but the vast vast majority are not doing that. and i trust the few ones who do to have a legitimate connection to the term.
