First day of thesis work aaaa!

It actually wasn't that exciting in terms of the lab work I got to do, but it was exciting in terms of... everything else lol. I did the first synthesis and left the whole thing to crystallize (thesis supervisor said to forget about the solutions - apparently, they crystallize better when you aren't thinking about them ahaha). The entire day was a great challenge for my social anxiety and I'm very happy with how I handled things :) I'm exhausted though. I think I'll sleep supremely well tonight

just had a dream about a zombie apocalypse but it wasn't gritty survival or anything like that. sure, i specifically was kept under super tight protection for whatever reason (maybe i was immune or smth, idk) but it was more carefree or relaxed than anything else. bittersweet, if i were to put a word to describe the dream as a whole. a moment that i think is gonna really stick with me is that zombies broke into the base, and even though everyone killed them all, the integrity of the base was compromised, so we had to leave. instead of packing up and leaving and never looking back, we took a few pictures together. we left some inside the base to be discovered. by the front door, someone left a note that said, "thanks for all the good memories and the protection. hope you serve someone just as well or even better in the future, because I dare to hope we have one. and maybe, one day, you will no longer be thought of as a base, or a compound, but a home." and then i woke up with a tight feeling in my chest.

I took it out of the bathroom because I think it might be a reaction to the humidity after my shower, but idk how to return it to its normal state if that's even possible.
