Oohh so this fic I have enjoyed immensely, it’s got weird horrors, time loop shenanigans, and is also a really good character study? It’s great reading it trying to figure out the mystery as it’s all from Richie’s perspective and he’s as lost as we are.
I made 3 copies of this fic, one for the author, one for the artist, and one for me. I think it’s probably the limit on how many copies of the same fic I would make, but it was fun seeing how they all matched and their different variations. I had fun choosing a paper that would match the aesthetic of the apartment building as described in the fic. Endbands are my usual double core kind, and I had fun typesetting this one in indesign, when I still had it 😆
All in all, a great fic. You should definitely read if you have an interest in cool horror heh heh heh.

Winter |
Tumblr media
"Winter paused long enough to feel the shiver of trees, the stars and the breeze, the marvel of nature in pure harmony." (Angie Weiland-Crosby.)
Characters: Choi Jong-in, Cha Hae-in, Sung Jin-woo, Woo Jin-chul, Eun-seok, Lee Ju-hee, & Min Byung-gyu.
~ ❆ ~
Choi Jong-in
• He wondered if he could ever get cold. The soft freezing wind, nibbling on one's skin, always turned into warmth when it touched his own. Snowflakes melted in his palms and had not lasted a few seconds in his hand. Jong-in used to be fascinated with the cold season, wondering how it formed and fell from the sky, but now that he was an adult, winter was rather a passing hello. A hello to the frozen waters, a hello to the desire to feel the heat, a hello to the powdery white snow in the streets. Nonetheless, Jong-in liked watching the snowflakes, tiny particles waltzing in the air until they gracefully touched the ground, dissolving out of plain sight; he reached his hand out and waited for the single snowflake to slowly descend on his hand. He smiled when it finally did, feeling as if the snow had kissed his fingertip. He might not be able to completely experience the winter's wonder, but he always felt the winter's magic.
Cha Hae-in
• For once, she felt at ease; the icy blues of the sky and the tiny specks of snowfall drifting gradually in the air, they made her enamored, drawn in a spell that she could never take her eyes off. There was something about the winter that soothed her soul like a lullaby. Today, she woke up past her usual time, which only meant that winter had arrived. The season allowed her to sleep longer until her body was satisfied. Hae-in made herself hot chocolate milk, added with marshmallows, she stirred her mug and sat on the bean bag next to the broad glass window. She dragged a fur blanket over her lap as she glanced at the city outside of her condominium, the sky was clear and clouds were like cotton, utterly white that there were no trace of a bad weather in them. The streets were engulfed with snow and some areas might be slippery. Hae-in's mind ran over various of ways she could spend her day as the first day of snow. Sure, winter would stay for quite some time, but Hae-in hoped she wouldn't miss a thing. Winter had brought the inner child of her which she never expected it was still there.
Sung Jin-woo
• Inhaling the frigid air, it reminded him of the coziness brought by the heater as he and his sister were wrapped under the comforters, watching the movie their father had chosen. His mother would return from the market and prepare the most delicious stew. Jin-woo tugged on the collar of his jacket, burying his hands into his pockets to feel a tad warmth. Tank and the other bears were rolling around the snow, whining tenderly, their pleasant mood was palpable for Jin-woo to stay longer outside in the empty field where no other person could see them. Kaisel crawled under the snow and sprung up, sending fragments of snow everywhere, flapping its wings in delight. The ants were oddly curious of their surroundings, sniffing and even eating the snow, while Beru and others had found themselves forming shapes out of snow. Whether he admit it or not, he liked what he was witnessing, rather than a bloodshed battle. With his shadows happy, he was happy too. Seeing their other side was enough for Jin-woo to feel as though he had not lost that part of him either. Perhaps he could drag his sister out to play later on. Make snow angels and throw snow balls at each other. But now, Jin-woo chose to relish in the happiness radiating from his soldiers.
Woo Jin-chul
• The barista placed the cup of coffee on the counter. Jin-chul muttered his 'thank you' and grabbed the cup, bringing it to his lips to take a sip on the creamy, chocolatey coffee. He pushed the door on his way out and the temperature immediately changed. From the warm and cozy ambiance of the café to the icy and tough atmosphere of the winter. His breaths came in small clusters of mist, the tips of his ears turned into a soft taint of red, though he did not shiver and continued his stroll. Usually, most would do the best out of snow, but for Jin-chul, he'd rather stay in the background and watch the lives of people and the way they coped with the cold. It was him and his hot coffee against the breezy winter, shrouding the whole city — country — into pale white.
Eun-seok
• He had a dream. . . The shivering wind gyrating around his hand, the softness of snow beneath his feet, and the tender warmth from the fire. He wished to feel it again. In his grandfather's home, where it was him and his cousins, curled on the ondol floor, sprawling their bodies as they waited for the old man to finish the oyster stew. Winter had been the happiest season in his life, he loved each day of it more than the rest of the seasons. He couldn't wait to hold a mug contained with hot chocolate and a movie waiting for him in his living room. Eun-seok cracked a smile, staring at the clear blue sky, imagining the things he wanted to do. . . Things he still wanted to do. As his life came short, falling into the deadly hands of the vicious ants, devouring every inch of his dear life, he hoped that if the afterlife existed, he would wake up in winter's embrace, surrounded by endless snow.
Lee Ju-hee
• She was not a big fan of the cold. Lee Ju-hee already missed the beaming shine of sunlight, radiating across the city. Bright and lively. Now, she had woken up to the streets covered in white, so rather than making breakfast, she dressed herself in layers of clothing to keep herself warm and a pair of mittens to protect her hands from touching anything that had been grasped by the harsh atmosphere. She returned to the comfort of her home once she was done, along with the purple petunia that she had picked up after noticing how it was not coping well with the snow, she placed it next to the window where it had the most sunlight. Ju-hee gently caressed the petals with her bare hand, feeling the softness beneath her skin; she smiled, glad how it did not easily waver in the freezing wind. Just like her. Winter had not been her favorite season, but she learned how tender things could be, thus must be held in the warmest hands.
Min Byung-gyu
• Children were always rhapsodic no matter what season it was. Whether it was the embracing winter or the beaming summer, Byung-gyu lived to see those smiles on their faces as if the world they stood upon was a paradise. Laughter echoed in the wind across the neighborhood, kids threw snowballs at one another, Byung-gyu watched with a broad grin; he used his arms to shield his face from being hit by the snowballs and turned to his back on the playful children as he gathered a cluster of snow, pressing it into a ball, then he launched it at one of the kids. He guffawed when he heard them squeal. Unfortunately, it was all when he heard a cry among them. A little boy was sniffling after being hit in the head, so knowing what he must do, Byung-gyu placed his hand on the boy's head to ease the pain; everything returned to the way it was in an instant. Byung-gyu wished to maintain the happiness amidst the cold climate, as well as keeping everyone from pain.

good omens season 1.5 headcanon that aziraphale gave crowley a very stern scolding about the way he's raising his children (the houseplants)
in season 1, crowley threatens the plants and puts them in a shredder. in season 2, they are the only things he cares about enough to take with him after getting evicted. carries them around, keeps them close in his car.
this is because when they switched bodies and aziraphale was living in crowley's flat as crowley, the plants jump at the opportunity to snitch to the principality of the eastern gate.
"oh we are saved! honorable angel, prithee hear our plight! we pitiful wretches live under the cruel thumb of our demonic mother, he who hurls abuse verbal and emotional, he of unrealistic beauty standards; we have not heard of our brother since he had taken ill with yellow spots. there is nary any sunshine in this gentrified minimalist condominium, and mother's ceaseless lovelorn pining over a "mr. fell" is wearying. merciful angel, deliver us!"
and after they had returned to their own bodies, aziraphale puts his hands on his hips and huffs, "Anthony j. crowley! now you listen here! enforcing obedience through fear is no way to raise happy healthy children! in the name of the almighty I demand you do better!"
"ungrateful brats, I feed you, put a roof over your heads, and this is how you thank me. you hate me, is that it."
"crowley! when you chose to become a parent you accept the responsibility to nurture them, give them the support they need to blossom, regardless of what they bloom into! all plants are beautiful and deserve love no matter how many spots they have"
"but angel...it's so hard being a single mom, raising so many kids in the big city..the children need a father, I wish I had a man in my life uwu, but who would want me, I'm 6000 years old and unemployed, oh if only there was a kind clever angel somewhere who would have me uwu"
and that's how we got to season 2, with the pampered plants moving between their loving parents car and bookshop

It’s a phenomenon from New York to Dallas to Fresno and Los Angeles, one that seemed inevitable to some from the moment millions of Californians became the first Americans ordered to work from home as a way to fight the spread of COVID-19.
The pandemic is not yet over despite the public being fed up with it. COVID’s viral variants still dog the world as their third winter of plaguing humans begins to wane. Millions of white-collar workers who got a taste of setting their own hours and creating their own work environments, though, still resist going back to the office more than once or twice a week. As a result, hundreds of millions of square feet of office buildings are vacant now in California alone.
The empty offices made it obvious from the pandemic’s first onslaught that apartment conversions would become a major part of the solution to California’s housing shortage, if not its dominant answer. Now that’s becoming reality, the only inexplicable thing about it being the fact it has taken three full years to morph from obvious concept to major reality.
This is how real the conversions of office buildings have become: The website rentcafe.com reports that more than 4,130 apartments and condominiums will be created through conversions of office space this year in Los Angeles alone. Another 1,000-plus new units are planned this year in Fresno, with more than 500 more coming in San Francisco, 450 in Sacramento and about 200 in Oakland.
Even cities that have never gotten into this game are now active in conversions: 372 converted units are due to open in Alameda this year, 250 in San Clemente and 250 in the San Pedro section of Los Angeles, not counted in the city’s announced total. Altogether, at least 10,000 new units will open for residential use in former office space before the end of this year.
None of these conversions will be very controversial, as they take up no new ground space, do not alter existing neighborhood views and profiles and therefore don’t provoke the environmental lawsuits that hold up so many California building projects, including a major annex to the state Capitol.
For sure, many more units will follow, especially when this year’s already-permitted crop begins drawing significant rents and purchase prices. That is a virtual certainty, as the new units vary from street-level apartments with significant exterior noise to ocean-view penthouses.
The number of units underway debunks naysayers who claimed when the idea first arose just after Gov. Gavin Newsom issued the nation’s first stay-at-home orders in early 2020 that conversions would be more difficult to get permitted and built than new construction. That’s been untrue, especially since the state passed a law last fall making such permits virtually automatic when applied for.
Objections that office floor plans are completely different from residential ones have been quickly overcome, as necessary plumbing and electrical changes, plus moving drywall barriers around within existing indoor spaces, proved less complex than some expected.
What’s more, the conversions are already becoming fiscal godsends for beleaguered local governments with property taxes that were beginning to fall as office building vacancy rates stayed up. So long as office rental revenues dropped, so too could assessed valuations that control the amounts of property tax money coming to local schools, sewer and water districts and other local government agencies.
When the converted units are sold, though they become subject to Proposition 13’s 1% tax on the most recent purchase price of any property. While commercial property tax rates usually remain relatively stable for decades, residential taxes can rise rapidly when units change hands.
At the same time, the conversions are starting to rescue real estate investment trusts, the office rental income of which was dwindling, as were the dividends they pay investors. That’s all happening as onetime office space finds new, productive use.
The bottom line: Office conversions, first recommended by this column in April 2020, are now the wave of the future in California and elsewhere, and they’re a boon to everyone from first-time home-buyers to renters to property owners and local governments.

Joyous Holy Week celebrations around the world (AP) From dressing as Roman soldiers in Antigua, Guatemala, to carrying palm fronds on the streets of Lagos, Nigeria, Christians around the world are celebrating Holy Week. For millions of Christians, the week between Palm Sunday and Easter, known as Holy Week, is the most sacred time of the year. It’s the week Christians commemorate the passion of Jesus Christ. The week began with Palm Sunday, where mass at the Vatican was celebrated by Pope Francis in St. Peter’s Square the day after he was discharged from the Agostino Gemelli University Hospital in Rome, where the Vatican said he was treated for bronchitis. In Bolivia’s highland region, artists gathered for an annual event where they built sand sculptures based on Bible stories. Members of the faithful in Brazil wore tunics and hoods to take part in the Procession of Souls in Goiás state. And in Managua, Nicaragua, a child dressed as an angel during an event observing Good Friday. In recent years, Holy Week has been scaled back due to COVID-19 restrictions that require precautions such as social distancing and mask use. However, this year many of the faithful gathered in celebrations reminiscent of the era before the virus changed the nature of religious observance.
Stabbing of Cash App Creator Raises Alarm, and Claims of ‘Lawless’ San Francisco (NYT) The fury erupted within hours, as word spread that the 43-year-old man who had been stabbed to death this week in an enclave of high-rise condominiums near the Bay Bridge was Bob Lee, a well-known tech executive. The leaders of “lawless” San Francisco had Mr. Lee’s “literal blood on their hands,” Matt Ocko, a tech entrepreneur and venture capitalist in Palo Alto, Calif., tweeted. “I hate what San Francisco has become,” added Michael Arrington, the founder of the industry blog TechCrunch. “Violent crime in SF is horrific,” Elon Musk, the chief executive of Twitter and Tesla, chimed in. The drumbeat has built since then in the liberal city that only last year recalled its progressive district attorney amid calls for law and order and deepening frustration over the city’s homelessness crisis. While city officials agree that the murder is a terrifying tragedy and a signal that San Francisco has work to do on public safety, they’re also clashing with powerful figures in the tech sector over the nature and severity of the city’s problems with crime. The tension comes at a precarious time, as the tech industry implodes with layoffs and San Francisco itself struggles to bring visitors, conventions and legions of remote workers back to the too-quiet area in and around its downtown.
Resurgent remittances in Mexico (Foreign Policy) Flows of money sent to Mexico from abroad are at historic highs. This February, total remittances to the country accounted for 11 percent more than they did in February 2022, according to Mexico’s central bank. In 2021, Mexico surpassed China to become the country that receives the second-largest amount of remittances in the world. (India is no. 1.) The high tallies may reflect the post-pandemic economic recovery in the United States, where the bulk of the Mexican diaspora lives, the Economist reported.
Deadly Attack Exposes Growing Threat in Mexico: the Military (NYT) Gustavo Ángel Suárez Castillo, an American citizen from San Antonio, piled six friends, including two brothers, into his white pickup truck with Texas plates just before dawn, having spent the night celebrating the news that he was going to be a father. Suddenly, four vehicles filled with armed men began chasing and firing at them. The pickup truck crashed and as the passengers tumbled out, the armed men threw some to the ground, shooting one in the back, survivors told The New York Times. One recounted how he watched his brother slowly stop breathing while the assailants blocked medics from arriving. When it ended, five of the men, including Mr. Suárez, were dead and the other two severely injured. The attackers? Uniformed Mexican soldiers. The shooting in the city of Nuevo Laredo in the early hours of Feb. 26 has been called a coldblooded execution by the survivors and a top government official. So far, four of the 21 soldiers involved in the encounter have been arrested and the case is under investigation by civilian prosecutors and the military. The episode has deepened concerns about the growing footprint of Mexico’s armed forces, which has not only been put in charge of domestic security, but has also been given a rapidly expanding portfolio of businesses, like a new international airport and a major rail line.
Sweden Says State Actor Blew up Nord Stream Pipeline (AP) According to a new statement by Swedish investigators, it’s most likely that a state actor was behind the explosions that took out the Nord Stream gas pipelines late last year. “Our hope is to be able to confirm who has committed this crime,” said the public prosecutor leading the investigation, though he warned that “it should be noted that it likely will be difficult given the circumstances.” While Ukraine and some in the U.S. have blamed Russia for the attacks, investigations have returned a mixed bag of suspects: the New York Times has suggested that a pro-Ukrainian group was behind the attacks, while German media pinned them on a yacht operated by a pro-Ukraine Polish company. Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh also released a report blaming the U.S. for the explosions, though Washington and the U.S. media have dismissed him.
Kremlin says its strategic aim in Ukraine is to create a ‘new world order’ (Guardian) Moscow wants any Ukraine peace talks to focus on creating a “new world order”, the French press agency Agence France-Presse (AFP) quotes Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov as saying. “Any negotiation needs to be based on taking into account Russian interests, Russian concerns. It should be about the principles on which the new world order will be based.” According to the agency, he added that Russia rejects a “unipolar world order led by ‘one hegemon’.” Russia has long said it was leading a struggle against US dominance over the international stage, and argues the Ukraine offensive is part of that fight. The Kremlin said this week it had no choice but to continue its offensive, seeing no diplomatic solution.
Facing critical ammunition shortage, Ukrainian troops ration shells (Washington Post) The artillery shells were stored in a shallow mud dugout, covered with a black plastic tarp to keep them safe. Just 14 rounds remained—evidence of a critical ammunition shortage that has the Ukrainians scrambling for ways to conserve supply until their Western allies can produce or procure more. The artillery platoon, with the 59th Motorized Brigade in eastern Ukraine, used to fire more than 20 or 30 shells per day with their Soviet-era howitzer. Now, they typically shoot one or two, or none at all. The ammunition that has pounded parts of Ukraine daily for more than a year has become a precious resource in the artillery war with Russia—and which side conserves shells and rearms faster could turn the tide on the battlefield. Even amid a shortage, Ukraine is firing some 7,700 shells per day, or roughly one every six seconds. Russia, which may also be running low, is firing more—by some estimates triple that amount.
China flies fighter jets near Taiwan after leader’s US trip (AP) China sent warships and dozens of fighter jets toward Taiwan on Saturday, the Taiwanese government said, in retaliation for a meeting between the U.S. House of Representatives speaker and the president of the self-ruled island democracy claimed by Beijing as part of its territory. The Chinese military announced the start of three-day “combat readiness patrols” as a warning to Taiwanese who want to make the island’s de facto independence permanent. The People’s Liberation Army gave no indication whether they might include a repeat of previous exercises with missiles fired into the sea, which disrupted shipping and airline flights. On Saturday, eight warships and 42 planes were detected near Taiwan, 29 of which crossed the middle line of the strait that separates the island from the mainland, the island’s Ministry of Defense said.
A Historic Handshake (1440) Saudi Arabia and Iran formally reestablished diplomatic relations On Thursday, a significant milestone in the relationship between two of the largest powers in the Middle East. The pair cut off ties seven years ago after Saudi embassies in Iran were attacked following the Saudi execution of a popular Shia cleric. Saudi Arabia and Iran have been engaged in a regional power struggle for decades, exacerbated by the differing sectarian religious views—Saudi is roughly 90% Sunni Muslim, while Iran is about 90% Shia Muslim. The regional conflict has also become a proxy for greater world powers, with Saudi Arabia generally working with the West and Iran forging close ties with Russia and China. Notably, the deal was brokered by China, marking one of the country’s biggest diplomatic moves in modern geopolitics.
Tesla workers shared sensitive images recorded by customer cars (Reuters) Tesla assures its millions of electric car owners that their privacy “is and will always be enormously important to us.” The cameras it builds into vehicles to assist driving, it notes on its website, are “designed from the ground up to protect your privacy.” But a Reuters Special Report shows that between 2019 and 2022, groups of Tesla employees privately shared via an internal messaging system sometimes highly invasive videos and images recorded by customers’ car cameras, according to interviews with nine former employees. One ex-employee described a video of a man approaching a vehicle completely naked. Also shared: crashes and road-rage incidents. One crash video in 2021 showed a Tesla driving at high speed in a residential area hitting a child riding a bike, according to another ex-employee. Two ex-employees said they weren’t bothered by the sharing of images, saying that customers had given their consent or that people long ago had given up any reasonable expectation of keeping personal data private. Three others, however, said they were troubled by it. “I’m bothered by it because the people who buy the car, I don’t think they know that their privacy is, like, not respected … We could see them doing laundry and really intimate things. We could see their kids.”
‘I’ve Lost a Lot of Flesh and Bone,’ Jeremy Renner Says, Recalling Snow Plow Accident (NYT) The actor Jeremy Renner, who was severely injured on Jan. 1 when a heavy snow plow ran over him, said in a TV interview on Thursday night that the truck had hit him as he was trying to save his nephew, an accident that broke more than 30 of his bones and upended his life. Mr. Renner, an Oscar-nominated actor who is perhaps best known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel Avengers movie and TV franchise, spoke publicly at length about his frightening experience and arduous recovery for the first time in an interview with ABC News. “I’ve lost a lot of flesh and bone in this experience,” Mr. Renner told the journalist Diane Sawyer. “But I’ve been refueled and refilled with love and titanium.” Doctors interviewed by ABC News said that Mr. Renner’s good physical shape and health had probably helped him survive. About 10 weeks after the accident, Mr. Renner is beginning to regain enough strength to walk with a cane. When asked in the interview if he sees the same face when looking in the mirror, Mr. Renner replied, “I see a lucky man.”

Why Cockapoos Are the Perfect Urban Companion: A Guide for Los Angeles Residents
Los Angeles is very busy and on the go—filled with people leading dynamic, fast-moving lives. In such a lively environment, finding the right canine companion barely takes precedence when living in an apartment or even a house with space at a premium. If you are looking to find one for your home then just search for cockapoo puppies near me.
The Temperament Ideally Suited to City Life
One of the biggest challenges when living in an urban area, just like in Los Angeles, will have to do with finding a dog that can successfully adapt to apartment living and fast city life. Cockapoos are friendly, extroverted, adaptive dogs that turn them into super companions in an urban setup. They are people-oriented dogs and thrive on human interaction, which suits owners who would spend quality time with them.
The Cockapoos also happen to be very smart, with smarts inherited from the Poodle side of the family. It’s this intelligence that makes them easy to train and is a very important quality to have in city living. Whether it be walking nice on a leash through busy streets or working on calm behavior in crowded places, Cockapoos really excel in learning and following commands.

Cockapoo Puppies Near Me
The Perfect Fit: Size Matters in Apartments.
When one looks for “cockapoo puppies near me,” size is almost always a consideration, more so in a city like Los Angeles where living space might be very small. While Cockapoos range from toy to standard, the mini Cockapoo is just a right size for very many people who live in an apartment in Los Angeles.
The weight of the Mini Cockapoos usually ranges from 12 to 20 pounds, and they stand around 11 to 14 inches at times at the shoulder. This small size makes them perfect for living in apartments, yet sturdy enough for a visit to the dog park once in a while or an average hike up the hills nearby. Their compact size also makes them not require big areas to move about on—one of the first major things to consider when dwelling in an apartment or condominium.
Low-Shedding and Hypoallergenic Qualities
Probably the most prominent feature in a Cockapoo is its coat. Considering the breed is between a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle, the Cockapoo’s breeding requires a low-shedding, hypoallergenic characteristic. This is very beneficial, particularly for people who have allergies or just love a cleaner environment while living in Los Angeles. This low-shedding coat means less hair on furniture and clothes, so it is very great for an urban setting where cleanliness will be paramount.
In return for this no-shed characteristic, their coat does require regular grooming to stay in good condition. However, this is a small price to pay for having a dog that doesn’t leave a trail of fur everywhere it goes. Properly cared for, your Cockapoo’s coat can stay soft, tangle-free, and virtually shed-free, making them a nice companion even for the most fastidious pet owner.
Exercise and socialization, no problem; Cockapoos are made for the city.
Living in Los Angeles provides access to many parks, dog-friendly beaches, and hiking trails—exactly what one needs to keep a Cockapoo active and healthy. Despite their modest size, Cockapoos can pack in a lot of energy and are very playful dogs. They are content with an average walk around the neighborhood or a good game of fetch at a nearby park.
On account of their people-orienting nature, Cockapoos also love socializing among other dogs and with people. Hence, they really are suitable for city living because they will encounter so many people and pets. Their friendly and outgoing nature makes them a hit anywhere—be it a dog park in West Hollywood or the leash-free beach in Malibu.

Cockapoo Puppies For Sale In Los Angeles
How to Find Cockapoo Pups in Los Angeles For those convinced that a Cockapoo is the right fit, the next step would be to find breeders whom one can trust to have available a Cockapoo puppy for sale in Los Angeles. One needs to put some thought into choosing breeders that rear healthy puppies with excellent temperaments if one is to type in “cockapoo puppies for sale in Los Angeles” and get results.
For example, Valley Cockapoos produces a healthy and well-socialized puppy. This breeder is close enough to Los Angeles and has pits available that are suitable for city living. Potential owners can visit the breeder, meet the puppies and parents, and feel satisfied that they made an informed decision.
Conclusion: A Cockapoo in the City
Closing the breed review, Cockapoos are an equally good breed for anyone living in Los Angeles who wants a friendly and flexible companion that wouldn’t be a hassle. Their nature is ideal, and they come in a manageable size with a low-shedding coat, which makes them an ideal city dweller. Whether you pound the concrete in Downtown LA or hang about your pad in Santa Monica, the Cockapoo will make living in this fair city more enjoyable—fun, companionship, and a touch of canine class that speaks volumes.

Cristian Lee Hutson Announces New Album
Christian Lee Hutson will release Paradise Pop. 10 on September 27th. Today he’s shared the new song “After Hours.” Track Listing * Tiger * Carousel Horses * Autopilot * Water Ballet * Candyland * Flamingos * Fan Fiction * After Hours * Forever Immortalized * Skeleton Crew * Beauty School Acclaimed California musician Christian Lee Hutson has announced his new albumParadise Pop. 10 for release onSeptember 27th on ANTI Records. Today’s news comes with an impressive first track taken from the new album, “After Hours.”    In a perfect example of Hutson’s sparkling, inimitable songwriting skills, “After Hours” finds the protagonist singing from a condominium in a corporatized Heaven, to the woman he misses back on Earth, over a plucky acoustic guitar and shimmering, soft synths courtesy of GRAMMY-nominated musician Shahzad Ismaily. The accompanying video, directed by Meg Ha, captures the melancholy otherworldliness of the track as Hutson drifts through a candlelit house party. Paradise Pop. 10 is co-produced with three of Hutson’s longtime collaborators: 4x GRAMMY winner Phoebe Bridgers,GRAMMY-nominated songwriter & producer Marshall Vore andGRAMMY-nominatedengineer& multi-instrumentalistJoseph Lorge. The album also features guest vocals from Bridgers, Katy Kirby, and Maya Hawke - another frequent collaborator whose universally lauded new album credits Hutson as producer and co-writer.   Recorded in the depths of winter at Brooklyn’s Figure 8 Studio, the close-knit talents from Los Angeles hunkered down to craft a brilliantly constructed and tender album. A captivating, breezy charm permeates every track of Paradise Pop. 10, with each song hooked around Hutson’s warm, earthy vocals and dexterous story-telling. Whether fragile finger-picking folk or rousing, beachy power pop, these songs are informed by a sense of creeping melancholy about the place Hutson has spent most of his life; in the lead up to the writing and recording of the album the sprawling, inscrutable city of Los Angeles had become haunted in his mind. A move to the East Coast, and the “eyes up” city of New York, was required to refresh his memory banks. “I wanted to make an eyes up record. A looking forward record,” he explains.   He elaborates: “Sometimes when you live somewhere for a really long time, the place starts to feel like a memory graveyard. Every corner becomes kind of haunted in a way, kind of dragging you out of the present. That’s what LA became like for me. Spending so much time revisiting all these emotional landmarks ended up giving me the feeling that I was missing my life. Like it was passing me while I was looking the other way…. It felt really connected to the city.I would spend half my life in the car, just completely on autopilot, re-living my life, from the beginning, on repeat every day.” Having relocated to New York City, he says he feels a very different energy around him, one he describes as,“You’re alive right now. You’re living your life today.”    Paradise Pop. 10 takes its name from a real life “town” set deep in the woods of Parke County, Indiana, near where Hutson spent some of his childhood. There, just past the population sign, you’ll find a row of 5 houses on one side of the road and a cemetery on the other.    Christian shares, “When I was a kid, my dad used to take me up there, mostly because of the novelty of the town limits sign, but also because it was so quiet and peaceful. For years, he would say that if life ever got too crazy, we could go up there and start living our real lives; be the people we were always meant to be. It occurred to me while making this record, that most of our lives we spend waiting to “be the people we were always meant to be.” I wanted to name this record after that town because it always symbolized an arrival to me. It was the ‘when’ that I looked forward to as a child. ‘When’ it all made sense and I was finally who I was meant to be.”   Hutson has also unveiled plans for a Fall European tour, and… https://chorus.fm/news/cristian-lee-hutson-announces-new-album/

Showcasing Properties: Real Estate Drone Video in Los Angeles
Real estate drone video in Los Angeles has emerged as a powerful tool for showcasing properties, providing prospective buyers with immersive and captivating experiences that transcend traditional property listings. This essay explores the significance of real estate drone video, its impact on the real estate industry, the unique characteristics of the Los Angeles market, challenges faced by real estate agents and production companies, and future trends shaping the industry.
Tumblr media
Showcasing Properties
The use of drone technology in real estate has transformed the way properties are marketed and presented to potential buyers. Real estate drone videos offer a bird's eye view of properties, allowing viewers to explore the layout, architecture, and surrounding landscape in stunning detail. By capturing aerial footage of properties, real estate agents can highlight unique features, showcase amenities, and provide a sense of scale and perspective that traditional photography cannot convey.
Showcasing properties through drone video enables real estate agents to create more engaging and dynamic listings that stand out in a competitive market. Instead of relying solely on static images or written descriptions, prospective buyers can visualize themselves walking through the property, admiring the views from above, and imagining the lifestyle it offers. This immersive experience helps to generate interest, attract qualified buyers, and ultimately facilitate faster sales.
Impact on the Real Estate Industry
Real estate drone video has had a significant impact on the real estate industry, revolutionizing the way properties are marketed, sold, and perceived by buyers. In a digital age where visual content reigns supreme, drone videos offer a compelling way for real estate agents to differentiate themselves and showcase properties in their best light.
The use of drone video in real estate marketing has been shown to increase property visibility, engagement, and sales conversion rates. Properties featured in drone videos tend to attract more views, inquiries, and offers compared to those with traditional listings. By providing potential buyers with a comprehensive view of the property and its surroundings, drone videos help to build excitement and generate interest, leading to quicker sales and higher selling prices.
Moreover, real estate drone video has become an essential tool for remote buyers and out-of-town investors who may not have the opportunity to visit properties in person. By offering virtual tours and aerial perspectives of properties, real estate agents can bridge the gap between buyers and properties located in distant or inaccessible locations. This enables buyers to make more informed decisions and gain confidence in their purchasing choices without the need for physical visits.
The Los Angeles Market
The city of Los Angeles is a hotbed for real estate activity, known for its diverse neighborhoods, iconic landmarks, and luxury properties. The Los Angeles real estate market presents unique opportunities and challenges for real estate agents and production companies alike, with demand for high-quality visual content driving innovation and competition in the industry.
Los Angeles's sprawling landscape and scenic vistas provide an ideal backdrop for real estate drone videos, offering breathtaking views of the city skyline, mountains, and coastline. From luxury estates in Beverly Hills to modern condominiums in downtown LA, the city's diverse architectural styles and neighborhoods offer endless possibilities for creative storytelling and property showcasing.
Moreover, the competitive nature of the Los Angeles real estate market has fueled demand for high-quality visual content that helps properties stand out and attract qualified buyers. Real estate agents in Los Angeles are increasingly turning to drone video as a strategic marketing tool to differentiate themselves and elevate their listings above the competition.
Challenges Faced by Real Estate Agents and Production Companies
Despite its many advantages, real estate drone video production presents several challenges for both real estate agents and production companies. One of the primary challenges is regulatory compliance, as drone operations are subject to strict regulations and airspace restrictions imposed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Navigating these regulations requires real estate agents and production companies to obtain appropriate licenses, permits, and certifications, as well as adhere to safety guidelines and flight restrictions.
Moreover, producing high-quality drone videos requires specialized equipment, technical expertise, and creative skills. Real estate agents may face challenges in finding experienced production companies capable of delivering professional-grade aerial footage that effectively showcases their properties. Production companies, on the other hand, must invest in drones, cameras, and editing software, as well as stay abreast of the latest trends and techniques in drone videography.
Furthermore, weather conditions and environmental factors can impact the quality and feasibility of drone video shoots. Wind, rain, and fog can affect drone stability and visibility, making it challenging to capture clear and steady footage. Additionally, airspace congestion, noise pollution, and privacy concerns may arise when filming in densely populated areas or near sensitive locations, requiring careful planning and coordination with local authorities and property owners.
Future Trends
Looking ahead, the future of real estate drone video in Los Angeles is marked by exciting trends and innovations that promise to shape the industry in the years to come. One such trend is the integration of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies into real estate marketing strategies. By creating immersive virtual tours and interactive experiences, real estate agents can provide buyers with a realistic sense of space and scale, allowing them to explore properties from the comfort of their homes.
Another trend shaping the future of real estate drone video is the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning algorithms to enhance video production and editing workflows. AI-powered tools can automate tasks such as video stabilization, object tracking, and image enhancement, allowing production companies to streamline the editing process and deliver high-quality drone videos more efficiently.
Furthermore, advancements in drone technology, such as longer flight times, improved battery life, and obstacle avoidance capabilities, will enable production companies to capture more dynamic and immersive aerial footage. Drones equipped with advanced sensors and cameras will offer greater flexibility and control, allowing videographers to capture stunning aerial perspectives with ease.
Conclusion
In conclusion, real estate drone video has become an indispensable tool for showcasing properties and driving sales in the competitive Los Angeles real estate market. By providing immersive and captivating visual experiences, drone videos enable real estate agents to attract buyers, generate interest, and differentiate their listings from the competition. Despite challenges related to regulation, technical complexity, and environmental factors, the future of real estate drone video in Los Angeles looks bright, driven by advancements in technology, evolving consumer preferences, and the growing demand for high-quality visual content in real estate marketing. As the industry continues to innovate and adapt to changing trends, real estate drone video will remain a cornerstone of effective property marketing strategies in Los Angeles and beyond.

BIO
Daniel was born in and raised in Los Angeles to a second-generation immigrant family. His parents held their traditions tight to their chest, so it took a lot for Daniel to break out of them. As a kid, he was known to be on the calm side. He did have a wild side, but it was never over the top. He was by no means popular, but he had a couple of friends throughout elementary to high school. Daniel was found to be more street smart than school smart. Maybe, it was because of the neighborhood he grew up in, but Daniel knew the game of life at a young age.
At around the age of nine, his parents sat him down and told him that his cousin was now going to live with them because they were adopting her. Come to find out, his uncle and aunt were just not fit to parent his cousin. However, the day that his cousin came to live with them was the last day he called her his cousin because she’s for sure his sister now. The two became close, fought like siblings, and it felt easy to get along with her. Daniel believes that she was the reason why his parents had been able to open up to letting go of some traditions. If it wasn’t for her, who knows where their regarded traditions would’ve gotten him.
The day that Daniel discovered record players was the day that changed his life because he knew what he wanted to do with his life. Music has always been an important aspect in his life. It inspired him to learn to play music as that’s what he thought he wanted. After learning piano and guitar, he figured that what he really wanted to be was the person who found new musicians and helped build their careers. He knows he has a good ear when it comes to music because anyone new, he listened to would be bigger within 3-4 years. He knew deep down he could do it.
Senior year of high school-Daniel found himself working at a local music venue as a stagehand which gave him an early boost in networking by meeting musicians and managers/agents. He was lucky that he was able to get his first step in the door of entertainment at that age. College came and went for him, easy peasy. Daniel was definitely a frat boy in college, not super douche-y but… once a frat, always a frat. It was never about being popular-it was about networking. He has a bachelor’s in business with a minor in entertainment management, graduated with a job at Warner Records label as an assistant and became a talent agent two years after. At twenty-five, he had not only become a talent agent for just musicians, but he stepped into actors business.
This would be the first time he mixed business with pleasure—a mistake he regrets. He signed his first promising actress, got her into auditions… and through it-he managed to fall in love with her. They both promised to keep their relationship a secret because they both knew how unprofessional it would be. He got her into every audition, always putting her first, and even got her a few good roles but… co-stars, directors, and future projects complained she was a pain to work with which led to various arguments between the two. This put a strain on their relationship because he was trying to get her the best, and she was already acting as if she was the best (and she was) without putting in the work.
They worked through it, and they seemed to be okay once she got her literal act together. Behind closed doors and rumors that rang through - it didn’t last. As much as he loved her, they eventually ended the extremely toxic relationship, and he released her from their contract. He didn’t leave her on her own, as he signed her to another trusted colleague so her somewhat surviving career wouldn’t go down with their relationship. The breakup was rough and ended in him spiraling and showing up at her door step each time he drank. She’d take him in, they’d make up, they’d fight, tell each other to never talk to each other again, he’d drink, and he’d be back at her door.
Once he realized what it was doing to him, he stopped all contact. He decided to focus on his career as it was the only thing he had. He spent hours and worked hard getting talent into Hollywood, but decided to fully focus on music artists recently. All actors signed with were released from contracts and he was able to most of them new contracts with the same deals or better, with trusted peers. He’s been working for himself the last two years and picking his talent in the right moments as he had the backing of Warner Bros before, but now it’s all on him. Around this time, his friends had been recommending Aurora Bay as a place to vacation, so he bought himself a condo and spent one summer there.
However, he knew he wanted to settle down and find love again once he made it at this point in his career. So, he thought he would move to Aurora Bay full-time in the condo he had. He had loved his summer there and it was family-friendly so it would be a great place to start. He moved to Aurora Bay in March ’23. It’s been over a year, and he’s had his ups and downs, but he does enjoy the town. Although he’s been MIA since January of this year due to work and a small spiral – he’s back now and ready to face life again.
HEADCANNONS
Recently spiraled when he went back to LA and it was bad. Talking benders bad. Family is worried about him.
Bought his condo in Aurora Bay in summer '22 before moving in fully in March '23.
