why are ai assistant chatbots now being universally implemented when they are all so utterly fucking useless. every conversation i have ever had with one has gone like this
me: (requests help with a specific issue)
chatbot: Great! Have you tried any of the resources on our website? (sends me a link to the help page)
me: that was actually the first thing i looked at and it didn't answer my question
chatbot: Aww, I'm sorry those resources didn't help! Would you like to speak with someone from our customer service team?
me: yeah, please, that would be great
(10 minutes of buffering time)
chatbot: It looks like none of our agents are available right now. Sorry about that! Please try again later, and in the meantime, feel free to check out some of our other resources :) (sends me the help page again)
