Ever since Zoey had shouted at her that morning, Deidre had felt thoughts of resentment growing towards the young woman before her. 

Zoey raised an eyebrow, defiant. “Get it all off your chest then. This’ll be your only chance.”

Deidre scowled at her. 

“You’re not here enough for Maddie. You just expect me to do it all-”

“I don’t. You just want her all the time. I tell you to take breaks! And also that’s what I pay you for!”

Deidre continued as if Zoey hadn’t spoken. “You’re a workaholic-”

“That’s not a bad thing when I’m setting up the only clinic in this town.”

“-you ignore your daughter-”

“No, I don’t.”

“-your girlfriend is a careless distraction and only wants you for access to your daughter!”

Zoey displayed a look of shock and almost laughed in her face. “Ros isn’t there for access to Maddie, she’s there for me!”

“You’re so blind and naive!” Deidre almost exploded.

“She just wants access to a baby, any baby!”

Zoey cut her straight “You mean like you are, Deidre?”

I've watched this thing so many times. It's just a delight from beginning to end. The colours, the whimsy, the characters, genuinely I'd put this up as best mcu movie (maybe competing with guardians but that's not a sequel soooo). It's fun and campy and heartfelt!

Guardians Vol 3 {original-Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)} *Spoilers?*

After the last few years for the MCU were hit-or-miss, Guardians 3 was a massive smash success that deserved all the praise, being even better than Guardians 2 and taking the spot of my personal favorite MCU movie of all time.

Guardians 3 is utterly amazing, with some of the deepest and most poignant tragedy, some of the funniest comedy, some of the coolest action, some of the most powerful emotional scenes, and some of the tightest scripting I've seen in movies. The character work, particularly in regards to Rocket and Nebula, is phenomenal, but all of the characters reach their perfect conclusion here, Drax gets to be a father, Peter reconnects with his family, Mantis becomes strong and independent, etc.

Guardians Vol 2 {original-Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)}

It's a fantastic sequel that follows up on all the threads from the previous movie. It has some amazing character development, hilarious comedy, and powerful action and tragedy.

People who ship Evan and Connor want to demonize her SO BAD. Like it is NOT her fault she's upset at her brother and having a hard time mourning the guy who was a dick to her - and this is as a Connor Murphy apologist. All the best Connor/Evan fics are where she and Connor slowly repair their relationship and he puts in the work

hey remember when ppl shipped evan with connor even though the WHOLE POINT of the show is that evan never actually knew connor and their entire "friendship" is an elaborate lie

She's the main love interest but people ship Evan with her dead brother so they make her into a jerk or a wingman and ignore the fact that the brother was abusive towards her

Gwen Cooper

she literally did nothing worse than the rest of the team yet so many people hate her guts and there is a literal gwen bashing tag for her on ao3. just cause she's a complicated character and confident and assertive and oh yeah she had sexual tension with jack harkness who ended up w ianto in the end. god forbid.

fans think she "gets in the way" of the canon m/m pairing of the series just because she has straightbait scenes with one of the two guys. when in reality she literally has a husband and has been nothing but supportive of her friends and their relationship 😭 she tends to be written as like super insensitive and spoiled and its unbearable 

An amazing, badass woman who has a complicated relationship with Jack Harkness, 1/2 of “Janto,” the ship she “gets in the way of.” People use this slight complication to decide they HATE HER and turn her into this vile, evil, vindictive person. She often tries killing Ianto (other half of “Janto”) in many poorly-written fics, simply so that everyone can realise how badly they treat poor, poor Ianto. This makes Jack fall harder in love with Ianto xoxo Mwuah Mwuah and Gwen is hated and killed. This occurrence is so common that it has its own tag on AO3: “Gwen Bashing.” The writing, again, is always very bad, and solely created to make people hate Gwen. She’s chill in the actual show though. Very supportive of the two men and their relationship, and is literally happily married. She is not at all like what people make her out to be.

have you seen this man. the fandom doesn't seem to grasp that he can have a "good" goal but still go about it absolutely the wrong way. he's not baby but he's not evil incarnate either, he's just 18. being 18 is just like that

People who are like "he's an irredeemable psychopath who became a serial killer just because he has daddy issues" piss me off. People who are like "he's the only person who ACTUALLY cares about the Protagonist and all of the Protagonist's other friends are fakes and users" piss me off even more. He's a foil for the entire main cast. He has faced all of their traumas with none of the support. He believes that he's responsible for his mother's suicide, and that he's unlovable. He was abandoned by everyone. He made some bad decisions when he was like 14, and his abusive father manipulated him into being a hitman. He lies all the damn time, so you can't really tell when he's being genuine or not. He's a double agent who befriends you and then tries to kill you, believes that he's succeeded, and shows absolutely no remorse. He dies to save your life (and then gets sorta resurrected and then dies again to literally save the world). It's complicated! He's complicated!

Gwen Cooper

God forbid women do anything. Gwen Cooper is a classic victim of fandom misogyny, a complicated kinda fucked up female character who is ultimately a hero, and people act like she’s the antichrist because she’s about as fucked up as every other man in the cast. Gwen’s main crimes are cheating on her then-boyfriend (with another male lead character who weirdly does NOT get any hate for participating in this affair) and having a very emotionally intimate and sexually tense (but never actually sexual) relationship with Jack Harkness, who also has a boyfriend in Torchwood (this is the classic “she’s getting in the way of our ship!!!! Situation, despite the fact that Gwen and Jack literally never do anything together and Gwen is never anything but supportive of Jack’s relationship); perhaps Gwen’s most morally grey action is confessing adultery to her boyfriend and then erasing his memory when he reacts poorly, but I must stress that this is about on the par of the shitty things other men in the show have done (hide dangerous aliens in the secret base, sacrifice children to dangerous aliens, use alien cologne that makes people want to fuck you in a way that is at best DUBIOUSLY consensual, etc). Meanwhile, Gwen also gets hate for things that are NOT morally grey, namely, being an outspoken woman with a strong moral center. She is the HEART of her secret organization, she is the MORAL CORE, and because that means she has the AUDACITY to criticize her male coworkers, she’s a bitch. There are over 100 works on ao3 tagged “gwen cooper bashing,” and even more untagged that bash, demean, belittle, or simply ignore the existence of THE MAIN CHARACTER OF THE SHOW!! Gwen bestie you’re so fucked up and I love you and I need more people to appreciate that.

Gwen is a paranormal investigator who accidentally joined the worst polycule on Earth. The Torchwood fanbase (especially the one at the time) really hates/hated her, despite the fact that her coworkers were equally as bad if not much worse than her. Maybe she did a bit of cheating and maybe she’s kind of mean but have you considered: she’s the most beautiful girl in the world, she’s a bad bitch, and I love her? God forbid women do anything

*most notably the albums Welcome to My Nightmare (1975) and Welcome 2 My Nightmare (2011), the 1975 TV special The Nightmare with Vincent Price, and the 2000 Neil Gaiman graphic novel "The Last Temptation" A lot can be interpreted about Steven and a LOT depends on which version of him is being interpreted. Ultimately, he's a little boy (or an age-regressing adult) who has nightmares of increasing severity and maturity. He kills his abusive father in the song When Hell Comes Home. Some people will interpret Steven as the main character and um. murderer. from Along Came a Spider (2008), but some don't. Given that he's not strictly a movie or book or game character and is instead mostly portrayed through music, he's much less defined than other characters in this event might be. Also this character involved Vincent Price putting Alice Cooper on a leash and I think this counts as propaganda.

Deidre could hear Zoey’s daughter gurgling on her playmat behind her in the nursery and her heart hardened a little. How much she wished she hadn’t done what she did.

Althea had her arms folded across her chest and she glanced at Zoey before she spoke to Deidre “Have a seat Deidre.”

Deidre refused “I’d rather stand.”

“I-I...I need to tell you both something.”

Althea turned her entire body towards Deidre. 

Whilst she was irritated with the elder woman, she felt a prickle of concern towards her. Deidre looked like she regretted everything she had said and done, and yet Althea felt a swoop in her stomach, as if a massive bombshell was about to be dropped in their midst. 

Deidre really didn’t want to say what she needed to say. She was terrified and didn’t want to see what reaction she knew was coming. 

With a heavy sigh and with tears falling from her eyes she said the unforgivable words “I...I took Maddie last night.”
