ive seen this pairing so much it’s a cliche now i think but i still love it

Ramattra does his own upgrades on himself. He designed and installed most of his equipment, appearance alterations, and his Nemesis form, all by himself. He doesn’t approve of anyone making replacements, regardless of it being a human, omnic, or cyborg.

But he would not be able to make this decision for much longer. In an attack out at sea, a ship was sunk along with him in it. Metal does not float, and he was not equipped with any device to assist him. This left him sitting like a rock at the bottom of the ocean inside the wreckage, the water shorting him out and leaving him lifeless.

Luckily a coastal rescue team was able to find him in the wreckage, and he was hauled away to your shop to get him back into working conditions.

He was put on a stretcher and slid onto your workshop table, covered in seaweed and smelling of fishy water. The salt water corroded at his metallic form, and his clothing was soaked and torn up.

“How do you expect me to get him back online?” You yelled in frustration at the rescue team. “Put it in rice?” One commented sarcastically.

“He’s not a phone, you dumbass! Oh, give me some space, come back in a few days.”

Parts were disassembled, some were handed off to an apprentice to be restored, and you worked on the electrical aspects for the most part. You noticed parts on his model that had been enhanced and added on to, a synchronized display of his own design and style within every feature. You worked around his modifications, and did the best that you could for him.

You admired the work of his tech, it was creative in ways you hadn’t thought of, and well calculated. The workmanship on the extra arms, the way that his metal was layered so it could expand to this second form, it was very interesting and impressive. You wanted to ask how he’d done it, and if he’d be interested in working on others with you in the future.

A week had passed, and you had to ask for extra time because you were waiting on a delivery for more parts to work with.

He was finally awakened, and you made sure to create a comforting place for him to find himself in. He was slow at first, a finger twitching, lifting his hand, moving his leg, then trying to sit up. “Good morning! Are you finding yourself in working order? Everything okay?” You greet from your seated position.

He seems confused, startled even as his optics graze over his shining metal form, his fingers clutching the different cloths on his body. “I kept your old threads for you, but I’m not much of a sewing person, I could only fix you, not your clothes.” You joke a little.

He is upset at the situation, although he couldn’t help himself in his time of need, he would rather perish than be so weak to have someone else repair him. He doesn’t know if he is more upset at himself or you.

He remembers little parts of the time passed throughout his week or so spent with you. He could hear your voice while offline, listening to you mumble to yourself or sing when you thought nobody was listening. Before, he would not have chose you of all people to fix him, but he was glad it was you at the end of it all. In a way, you felt like he was already a friend without a word exchanged.

“You’ve done a very good job… I thank you.” He speaks up after looking over himself. “It was a bit of work to figure everything out,, I’m really interested in these added pieces, did you do this?”

“Yes… before this, I had been the only one to ever make my upgrades. But I think I will continue to come to you from now on.”

You spend a lot of time with him discussing his parts, and what you’d done to help him. He’s very polite and answers all those technical questions you had building up over time. He has questions for you about any changes you made, and he’s grateful that you did your best to keep his ideas intact.

You learn his name is Ramattra, and you introduce yourself as well, also giving him your card.

When he comes back, he is always looking his worst, almost like he went out of his way to destruct himself for you to fix, you hoped that he wasn’t. When you asked what happened, why he was always coming in like this, he told you the same thing- defending his people.

You sort of put the pieces together without him saying it out loud- he was the leader of Null Sector. If you could even still call it that, apparently it’s just him now after so many losses.

It was you that went out of the way to make plans outside of your workplace. You took him out to an art showing, where you would look together at the pieces made by man and omnic. There were some artists there to speak as well, and that was really the reason you wanted him to be there. He seemed to really enjoy art, appreciating the way someone could put their struggles out there to make something beautiful and meaningful. He was motivated by the speeches, and he understood the message each conveyed. The date brought you together closer, and he wants to try his hand at making things for you.

He brings you things a lot, tools, other stuff that can help you in the workshop, snacks because he likes when you describe tastes to him. He brought you a sculpture of scrap metal that he’d welded together himself. You recognized some of these pieces from the floor of the shop, and thought it was funny of him to collect them for the piece. It was shaped like a crane, and you put it right where you could see it every day. He makes you more animal statues, in time, but the crane is your favorite.

Ramattra tried showing his affection through gifts, and compliments, but he also enjoyed your touch as well. Your hands had been over every inch of him during maintenance, and it was something he could look back fondly on now. He hugs you whenever he sees you, and picks you up and carries you around sometimes. He likes to make you laugh, and he has a lot of fun when he’s around you.

You gave him a kiss against his metal cheekbone after a goodbye one night, and it ruined him. He honestly couldn’t stop thinking about it, and how to ask for more. It was probably then that it fully clicked for him on what was happening.

He would confess first, probably with hand picked flowers to offer you. He wants you to last forever with him, he wants to hear you laugh every day, and he wants your kiss every night.

He found a comfort in you that was too good not to lose, so he wants to keep you. He hopes that you feel just as affectionate as him, that you will give him a chance to really show you. He’s never had such a relationship before, it’s difficult to show you his love without human aspects, but he doesn’t have to convince you, you already love him just as much.

Another day, another Conan

Detective Conan 30th Anniversary Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur is finally here! And going there is the best decision ever!

To avoid people, I went there during weekday, and I took my AL for these... Also, it is the best decision I've ever made.

If you know me, I am obsessed (but not in the unhealthy way, just the good amount of obsession) with Detective Conan, especially with Shinichi. He is been my favourite character ever and I even dubbed him as my first husband. He is my comfort character, ever.

The exhibition is held at Pavillion Bukit Jalil. I want to purchase ticket for early exhibition, but I cannot. I really want to go to the opening ceremony. They have the mascot over there. Still, I get early bird promotion for purchased the ticket before it is started. Too bad that I have to go alone cause nobody really love Detective Conan like I do.

So, let's me tell you what I like the most for this exhibition. Bear with me cause I'm a little bit bias because, well, you know...

Of course it is started with the illustration picture from the manga and a word from Aoyama-sensei and along the way. I like went the show Conan's statue with how he always point out number 3 .

I went alone, so I had to be a little bit creative. And my brilliant brain gave me an idea. But, I do sometime asked someone to help me to took a picture for me.

As usual, they gave a pamphlet to complete the stamp. For that, they have small floating shelf for that. Using the shelf, I used my Apple watch to get me the best picture that I made to take.

The moments that I want to highlight like below:

From the section of Conan's Love, there are some picture that I like. For example like how they show love for Chihaya and Yokomizo being highlighted. Are they canon?

And about Higo Ryusuke, which is my favourite minor character in this show. I wish we have more screen time for this man!

But, of course, we do do have the infamous Shinichi and Ran's confession scene. They are so adorable!

They also have Kazuha and Heiji's love scene, but to be honest, Aoyama-sensei dragged this too long and made me lost interest on their love scene. I love them, but addition of Ooka Momiji, yeah, not really my cup of tea.

We also have the cute Conan's design for the Conan's Hannin, which show the case that Conan's solved. Who still remember this creepy man from the library's case? I almost got heart attack when I saw this. They put it at the very strategic place!

And the famous あれれ（A~re~re). It also mention that Conan's famous excuse which is go to the toilet~

So, as Conan's fan, of course I know all the cases!

And can you imagine how many criminals in Conan's world? (exclude the filter's cases). Let me show you....

Yeah, so many criminals and I can said some of them are justified to do the crime. Don't quote me on that. But some cases are just sad. Sometime, I cannot hate the criminals.

And do you know who being shot the most with a tranquilizer needle? Yes, you guess it right. It is Kogorou!

They also show how many needle tranquilizer that was shot by Conan, which seems less than I expected. I swear I thought it should be more!

And at the end of the exhibition, there are cutout board of all major characters of the Detective Conan, but I want to highlight these two.

Ran is just adorable as she is but Shinichi! They have no right to made him this handsome and dashing! With tuxedo as well!. This remind me on one fanfiction from Ao3 that I love but not complete yet. It is Interview Mania by @purplellamanator. I can imagine them, Tokyo Spirits player Shinichi go to the red carpet, being interview by host Sonoko, and then model Ran also being interview on TV show by, you know it, also host Sonoko... I am rambling but I said what I said!

Lastly, of course I need to buy the merchandises! For me, it is affordable compare to online website (since some of these are Vietnam's product). With the purchase above RM100, you got free paper bag (since in Malaysia, you have to pay for paper and plastic bag. Even it is not free, I still gonna purchase it). The one from Japan is more expensive. But, I managed to purchase within my original target budget. I also have to buy expensive drink for the exclusive bookmark. Since I collect bookmarks all over the world, I closed my eyes on that. As long as I get the bookmark.

Also, I purchase the wrong T-shirt. I only notice it on the next day...

With this, I can confirm that I had a great and absolutely amazing time here. If I got another time and budget, I absolutely want to go here again.

Thanks for the organiser for bring my childhood here. I cannot express how grateful I am, cause lately we only got some famous animes exhibition like Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan. Finally, Conan is in Kuala Lumpur.

And how about my husband number 6, which (if I said it might be trigger to KaiShin's fan) is Shinichi's cousin? I got some idea for it since forever, but when it become canon on movie, I just laugh it off. I even asked my brother in Japan to confirm the rumor about the spoiler for me, since he went watch the movie before it come to Malaysia.

He got the whole section for his crime and handsome face! And his cutout board also dashing, but I wish they dress him with tuxedo with different color...

And although it is not my favourite section, I just want to upload this picture, the one from grave. Just to think only one of them still survive, pain my heart. Talking about Amuro, I wonder who will replace his seiyuu, since he being involve with the horrible scandal.

And lastly, all the casts are here. Can I just take these after this exhibition over? I probably don't talk about others, but they still have place in my heart. I LOVE DETECTIVE CONAN!

The Wall.

This is the wall everyone wants right now.

Concrete, flat, a muted gray. Sometimes with the imprint of boards, sometimes with those little indented holes, sometimes both.

Brutalist. Stark. Simple.

Fashion designers love to pose models using these as backdrops. Directors love to shoot in upscale home comprised entirely of concrete and glass. This is as hip and contemporary as you can get in 2025.

But whenever I’m scouting such properties and listening to creatives fawn over them, I always think back to the mid-2000s, when I first started scouting.

At the time, this was not the wall everyone wanted.

The wall everyone wanted was exposed brick.

We’d bring directors and production designers through Brooklyn lofts, and there was no greater selling point than an entire wall of exposed, crumbling, dilapidated brick.

Two or three walls? Exquisite. The height of cool.

“This is sick,” was the oft-repeated compliment bestowed by film crews upon seeing these expanses of red masonry. “Sick brick.”

Suddenly, properties owners throughout New York City were ripping down drywall in hopes of revealing that authentic brick soul lurking beneath. And hey, while we’re at it, why not get rid of the ceilings to see some pipes? Exposed pipes became almost as cool as exposed brick.

Then, something changed circa 2014: I started explicitly being told not to show any properties with exposed brick. It was suddenly considered dated and passe, like dressing characters in mid-90s baggy-wear in the 2000s age of skinny jeans.

Overnight, it seemed, brick was no longer sick.

Is it a decision we make collectively as a society, an unconsciously evolving aesthetic of cool we’re all in on without knowing it? Or is it foisted upon us by those at the top of the art and entertainment world, percolating through our culture until we can’t help but share an agreement on what is and isn’t contemporary?

All I know is that right now, concrete is sick. And so I’ll continue to scout such properties, all while staring through my viewfinder and wondering when the day will come when the gold I’m seeing will suddenly be considered as toxic as lead.

Hiveworks x InkBlot Partnership & Interview with CEO Jay Brown

Hiveworks is proud to announce our partnership with InkBlot! InkBlot is a new queer-run and artist-made social platform for creators and their audiences, with similar vibes to DeviantArt or Pixiv.

We are so excited to help an emerging platform by providing advertising support, working together to help the webcomic community grow with one of the things we do best.

We asked InkBlot CEO Jay Brown to talk with us more about InkBlot, its origins and its future.

How did the idea for InkBlot originate?

InkBlot started on a call with some friends of mine. I was upset and talking about how social media at that time (and unfortunately still even now) had been suppressing creators. Instagram was my biggest source for my other company selling my designs and merch. It still is, but the reach is minimal and nothing compared to how it was 4 years ago. Then, on top of that, DeviantArt hadn't been listening to its user base about an update they were rolling out. As a person that doesn't like to talk about it but be about it, I set to work making wireframes and getting ideas for InkBlot, building the prototype at my kitchen counter.

We're seeing a cultural shift in how people interact with social media. How would you describe InkBlot's place in the future digital landscape?

InkBlot is certainly a social space for creators and lovers of the arts, and I think I like to really emphasize that it is a community space. It is first and foremost a space that will cater to a specific community and the supporters of that community. It is NOT Twitter. We will never be like Twitter, nor do we want to. There are estimated to be about 16 million people around the world that take part in the creative arts. This doesn’t include music, writing, animation, or comics (source? Trust me– jk Global Art Market). So with that being said, InkBlot exists for a large group of people, mainly artists, but also slowly expanding into other areas like music, voice acting, writing. That’s why we refer to users as creatives/creators, and I quite frankly don’t think it matters if we cater to a niche. This niche is huge and life is one big canvas. In this day and age, the internet is very hostile to creators, especially ones that cannot keep up with the algorithms that consume and churn ‘content’ at paces faster than creatives can make them. InkBlot is here to slow things down, have people enjoy the process and connect with others that do the same.

What is missing from artists' online experience that InkBlot aims to fulfill?

Community. The creative community has been shattered into so many different parts of the internet. We have taken residence in places that weren't made for us and still don’t even think of us. We are stronger together, and InkBlot is here to make a permanent home that is built by and owned by the community.

From an adult artist perspective, InkBlot's content guidelines are pretty clear and generous compared to other content hosting sites. What motivated this decision?

There is really nothing more important than keeping every part of the community. This includes the NSFW/adult spaces. The content guidelines are shaped to still allow for the freedom of the arts. You cannot say you are a space for the community, yet completely cut out a part of it. So many spaces have forced out the NSFW community and with it has also scorched the LGBTQIA+ community. There is something deeper here about this, but I won't write an essay. In short, it is important to keep all parts of the community regardless if it's SFW or NSFW.

Hiveworks is also a queer-run, artist-made organization, with a focus on webcomics. What is your perspective on the value of queer spaces online, particularly for creatives?

It is super important. In a world where queer folks are constantly ‘up for debate’ and our existence is a ‘political ticket’, we need to have a space online for ourselves. It is so very important to have a safe space in a world that constantly tries to erase us. Spaces like Hiveworks and InkBlot give people hope. It gives people a chance to connect with other queer creators and find that they aren’t alone. Making media that is queer is more important than ever right now. Even if it is just one person, it can save someone.

Speaking of comics, do you have a favorite comic (print or digital) or a recently read recommendation?

I am a big fan of Novae by KaiJu, Lies Within by Lacey & Golden Shrike by doeprince

For people who want to see InkBlot grow, what is the best way for them to support you?

The biggest thing is getting the word out about InkBlot and USING IT! Use it, even if it’s just once or twice a week. We need to know what people want to see, how it differs from what people use now, or if we should make it similar to those other tools. Of course, we are user-funded so supporting us through our Kofi or on-site premium works, too! Lastly, give us patience! Rome wasn’t built in a day.

The Frustration of Time Slipping Away

Like many, I found myself replacing boredom with endless online entertainment. Hours passed, and I had no memory of what I’d actually done. I had become the embodiment of tedium—a frustrating spirit craving action but too lazy to move.

Being blessed (or cursed, depending on the day) with the energy of an ADHD Pokémon, I’ve always struggled with routines. Not because I didn’t want them, but because they rarely lasted. And when they failed, my mood crashed with them.

But here’s the thing—I thrive on creativity. I love making things, and doing nothing? That’s what truly kills me. 🙃

So, as unpleasant as it was, I had to acknowledge that my life strategy needed a revamp. Plus, it was the New Year—the season when the spirit of introspection and yearly goals knocks at your door. (Mind you, I refused to open, but they ambushed me when I came back from the convenience store.)

As they narrated the oh-so-dreaded speech about self-improvement, I mindlessly scrolled through YouTube and stumbled upon a video titled Making My Dopamine Menu or something along those lines. I was confused. A menu for dopamine? But before I could overthink it, the spirits clicked on the video, and my world changed. (Or at least, it did four dopamine menu videos later.)

What is a Dopamine Menu?

A dopamine menu is a structured, yet flexible list of activities designed to bring joy, productivity, and self-fulfilment into daily life. Instead of mindlessly scrolling or getting stuck in analysis paralysis, you have a menu of engaging options tailored to your interests and needs.

Why I Needed One

I knew I needed something fun to pull me out of autopilot and steer my attention toward what truly matters:

My growth

My well-being

My present (because let’s be real, she holds at least 45% of the responsibility for my future)

I wanted to give meaning to my days, to remember what I had done yesterday, to reconnect with my inner child, and—most importantly—to create. So, off to my board I went.

How I Created My Dopamine Menu

1. The Theme (Yes, a Duck—It Could Have Been Worse)

If you haven’t noticed by now—I like ducks. They are CUTE. Shut up.

Naturally, my dopamine menu design took inspiration from an old coffee trailer project template I had. I wanted something fun yet structured, visually pleasing, and easy to follow.

2. The Three Sections

Much like a well-balanced meal, my dopamine menu has three categories:

• 🥖 The Bread (Starters) – Quick activities to kickstart my mood, mostly in the mornings. These prevent me from doom-scrolling or staring into the void. Fun fact: boredom is just your brain asking for something better.

• 💖 Sour Hearts (The Main Course) – Activities for when I have too much time or that oh crap, I forgot I had time realization. These keep me engaged in things that align with my future self.

• ☕ Have a Sip Dip (No Time Stamp Needed) – Evening activities that don’t require a strict schedule but still add value.

Gardening almost made the list, but for now, I’ll settle for studying it. Who knows? A menu update might be in order soon.

3. Structuring My Time

To avoid decision fatigue, I incorporated a weekly/daily schedule alongside the menu. This helps me stick to my dopamine plan while allowing flexibility. I even developed optional habit tracker templates for those who want to join me in this experiment (feel free to download and adapt them!i added the link by the end of the ramble).

The Impact of My Dopamine Menu

Since implementing it, my life has transformed:

✔ I stay on top of things. ✔ I always have a general idea of how I’ll spend my time. ✔ I’m less bored. ✔ I’m more present in both my life and the lives of those around me. ✔ My room is less of a disaster. ✔ I remember where I left my things (mostly). ✔ I engage more deeply in activities. ✔ I’m far more productive. ✔ I’m less impatient. ✔ My mind is actually at peace—like, truly peaceful.

Even the smallest achievements, like cleaning my room, feel fulfilling. meaning, until I discover a better strategy, this is the one I’ll stick with.

The Fluidity of the Dopamine Menu

One of the best things about the Dopamine Menu is that it’s not a rigid, unchangeable structure—it’s a living system that grows and adapts with you.

Take gardening, for example. Right now, I’m more in the phase of learning about it rather than actually digging in the dirt. So instead of forcing it onto my list as a daily activity, I’ve placed it in the realm of “future possibilities.” But when the time comes—maybe next month, maybe next year—I can update my menu to reflect that.

The beauty of the Dopamine Menu is that it respects your evolution. If an activity stops exciting or inspiring you, swap it out. If you discover a new passion, make space for it. If life circumstances change, let the menu shift with them.

The goal isn’t to lock yourself into a set routine forever—it’s to create a system that supports your energy, curiosity, and joy at any given moment in time.

So, don’t be afraid to erase, rewrite, and redesign. Your Dopamine Menu is yours to shape. 😊

Dimension Dyfenders Update!! (9/20/23)

HEY, HEY, it's September! You know what that means! (read the above)

Hello D.D fandom, hello followers, mutuals, friends and hello people who curiously stumbled upon this post. You all know who i am, but for those who don't, let me introduce myself. My name's Comet. I'm the co-creator and main artist in the indie webcomic series Dimension Dyfenders! As of right now, i'm attending art school and trying my best to work more on the webcomic while also attending on my studies and get better grades. Now, you might ask, "Comet, what's going on with this series now?", "Why haven't been there more pocket adventures minisode 1 parts lately?" Well, i got the answers right here! First of all, let's start with the most obvious one... The Pocket Adventures situation.

Now, Pocket Adventures hasnt been online as of late, no next parts were being published, and im very sorry for that. The cause for it is the loss of motivation i had, which made me not work on it for a long while. Even when making new panels i feel extremely tired. Feeling like i should do something else (heck, i feel insecure about its panels when i draw them!) But fret not, that doesn't mean Pocket Adventures is getting cancelled. We still have loads of plans on the table and we can't wait to roll them out. But for now, we're taking a break due to IRL situations for example, art school. We, the team, have lives outside of making d.d content. We need to get our degrees and, well, try to survive life. But no worries, because I got plans to get back on D.D P.A Minisode 1 and finish it completely once winter break hits. As long as my motivation gets out of its hibernation phase. But still, i can't wait for you all to see the conclusion to minisode 1. (I just hope you dont mind if i jump right into the 'new designs' in the next pages)

Speaking of minisodes, I've been thinking of releasing minisodes only once a year than every saturday. Though this decision is not final yet. I don't want clout, in fact, i just wanna do what I love. Create stories and comics for everybody to enjoy. But if you guys would love for a minisode to release once a year or once in 3 months, let me know your opinions! Your criticism helps this series, especially its production, grow better!

Now, for the second and final question you may have asked… Thing is, Nothing has changed! But well, if you know me on my social media for my recent Crash Bandicoot fanart, then you might notice that Crash 4: It's About Time, especially it's artbook (and concept art by Nicola Saviori)... Has affected my artstyle, DRASTICALLY. So. The characters, of course, have went through some changes. I'd like to call this new artstyle... "The TFB Effect". As a matter of fact, Dimension Dyfenders (both its miniseries and full series) is going to have a brand new, more cartoony, zanier than ever artstyle! Don't believe me? See for yourselves. Starting with the main ones!

I decided to add a little bit of the good ol' Squash and Stretch to the characters to make them stand out more in the next comics. So of course, some of the colors have changed, especially designs and bodytypes. Oh, and not just that, our heroes have some new stuff, too! For example: Knockout's Dyfender Element is now refered as "Quantum Strenght", Paintdrop's is called "Cosmic Creativity" and Speedrunner's is called "Light Speed". Neat upgrades, eh? (Still, criticism is accepted.) Anyway, notice that in the first picture above there's something that says: "Dyfender Mode", right? Well, if you see that, that's because we are introducing something brand new to our heroes. Called: Omni-modes.

Now, "what are Omni-modes?", you may ask? Well, Omni-modes are modes that are set on the Dyfenders' Dy-watches, you may see that the Omni-Modes are, of course, the Dyfenders' alternate hero forms, to help them take on a mission in a different, more suitable form. When the day needs to be saved during night time (and rarely past bedtime), they activate Night Mode. For sunny beach days but still wanting to make sure nobody figures out their secret identities, Acqua Mode will be at their service. There are tons of different Omni-Modes to be shown (Especially, Pride mode, which was shown on this year's pride post.) So, yeah. Omni-modes will be shown in both the miniseries AND the full series!

Oh! And refering to characters, we can't forget about our main bad guys! Oh, you know, the Dajo-Crew? They got a bit of a make over to fit to the current artstyle! (ft. the updated height chart):

Now that we got that out of the way. let's just head over what will the future of the series look like as of right now. Starting off with the full series and pocket adventures. As said before, Dimension Dyfenders' artstyle changed. But that doesn't mean everything changed, things may be different (the more cartoony artstyle and the sillier tone), but nothing about the series has changed! And that means..

MORE POCKET ADVENTURES IS HAPPENING, THAT'S RIGHT! MORE D.D CONTENT COMING THIS WAY!

As for right now, D.D Minisode 1 may still be in development as we speak, but one thing that's completed right now is the script! Now that its finally finished, all thats left, is the panel and comic page-making (hopefully you wont mind the sudden character design changes, though.)! But in the meantime! We got some sneak peaks for not just one of the panels from the next minisode 1 pages, but also a never-seen before panel from the next minisodes of pocket adventures! (notice: some of these are not final and may change in the final product.)

That's not all! this franchise has got some new stuff coming in during it's run. We got so many plans, but this is the only thing we can show about said plans:

As you can see, you're gonna see some new characters in pocket adventures. While in the full series, you'll get some new characters too. Except... New baddies will be only in the full series, while in the miniseries then later in the animated series... You'll get to meet some new allies! So, keep your eyes peeled for them! And we hope you like them as much as we do.

Now, D.D has never shown a sign of stopping, even during hiatuses, so im happy to announce that more Pocket Adventures will be on their way after Minisode 1 has completed production! We're thinking of putting the upload dates on hold (which means, minisode 2 is delayed until further notice, sorry guys.). So please be patient when waiting for new minisodes.

And speaking of patience... I think I got a little something to keep you guys busy with while you wait... Introducing…

DIMENSION DYFENDERS TOONIES!

Now, you may be wondering: "What is THIS?" D.D.T (Dimension Dyfenders Toonies for long), is a brand new miniseries of comic strips that comes out during the weekends. (Starting in October, the end of september, or during the holiday season! No promises, though.) It's a little something i can make up while you guys wait for the next Pocket Adventures Minisodes. Oh yeah, here's one of the cover for it, too! It's not much, but i know you guys would go NUTS for it:

This will be about how the Dyfenders handle their superhero and school lives in everyday situations. (No worries, the action isn't gone. There might be some strips about school, but there will be more strips about their superhero lives, guarantee!). It's also about what The Dajo-Crew does when they aren't invading dimensions, get into some shenanigans at the castle and also when they plot evil schemes. some strips will be either original with a new short story or a recreation of old strips from phase 1 (not a final decision of course, but you can tell us if you like this idea)! One thing to point out is that some of the strips might take place before some minisodes, now thats another thing to notice, right? And that's the only "spoiler" I can give. So, sorry, no more! OH! And for any of you voice actors reading this who are like: "Wow, i wonder when this series will get a comic dub / animated series. If i'm lucky enough i might be able to voice act for it!" … Boy, do we have a treat for you all. Which will be posted in a few hours. both on bird app, bluesky, insta and on here!  The only thing I have to announce is that during the d.d stuff's production and during art school, i'm not gonna be online on social media. (until during normal/long weekends and festive days.), but no worries, the series is still alive and kicking, even when there aren't posts about it for a few months! Though, in some days, i'll be able to make and share some art for it! You're all in for a wild ride for these months and for 2024! Oh, and about Dajo's account. I'm planning to bring it back. But, Dajo is currently busy conquering Dimensions, but I can assure he hasn't abandoned Sinstagram completely. You'll see more of his influencer side, too. Both in his Sinstagram and in the upcoming strips! (And perhaps in some mini– OOPS! TOO MUCH!) That's all for now! I finally have enough of the Holy Trinity Of Creative Projects (motivation, time, energy) so I'm now collecting references and inspiration for Farangis' design sheet!

The chapter was!!! Gieve going to give Bodin a “little greeting”. Hope he's the one to do the bastard in.

Ahh I'm so excited to see what you come up with for Farangis!

I was reading the chapter with very wide eyes, that's for sure. There's a lot that I love about it, and when the simulpub's widely available online I'll sit down and make a post with some thoughts. But yes, that scene with Gieve leapt out at me because it very much does feel like it's setting up for him to be the one to kill Bodin, and honestly I'm up for that.

That single panel flashback to Shapur's fate is accompanied by a line from Gieve where he now appears to regret not having shot Bodin back then — a mistake he now seems intent on correcting. A quick death by an arrow is better than Bodin deserves, but it's the right choice. To torture him would be to stoop to his level. And in taking him out with one swift, decisive action, the Knights Templar will have been effectively decapitated.

Gieve killing Bodin here fits with the theme of things coming full circle, which we're seeing a lot recently in the manga. It makes sense from that angle, and will almost certainly also lead to a scene where, rather than finding out that Gieve shot Shapur, Isfan hears that he was the one who killed Bodin. Perhaps this time he'll hear it from someone other than Gieve, whereas Gieve keeps quiet about it (he's not motivated by the thought of a reward, and he isn't looking for gratitude either). In the end, they may not ever be best friends but it would bring them a lot closer to reconciling their differences.

There's also the fact that (vague novel spoilers incoming) in Book 16, the very final novel, Gieve was responsible for effectively defeating an entire army with only three arrows, by aiming at one of the horses pulling a chariot, then taking out the driver, before finally sending an arrow right into the forehead of their leader.
