Is there an age limit for the Moms/Sisters?
For me it would be reasonable that after 60 Moms either die or become Grandma. But I'm not sure how this system works. 😅
No. It feels like it could be a thing, given the conditions we see the sister candidates in and the violent fates many meet that Shirai purposely brings to our attention.

(Chapter 170 | Chapter 181.2 | TPN Light Novel 2: Moms’ Song of Remembrance - “Searching for the Skies of Freedom”)
But despite the oppressive nature of the farm system easily lending itself to the idea, there's no mention of a hard age or time limit for moms and sisters. Assuming they don't make any grievous mistakes, it seems like they're allowed to live as long as they're useful.

(Chapter 165)
Unless they're set up to take the fall for someone else.
The second light novel goes into further detail about how due to the very limited number of positions outside of headquarters, some sisters choose to retrain and pursue other roles in the system.
But even then, it doesn't seem like they're allowed to pass away peacefully in their sleep due to old age and have that be the end of it. Under this system, their ultimate fate is to become food.
On the flip side of things, Krone specifically mentions Isabella becoming a mom at nineteen is an extraordinary feat.
(Chapter 181.2 | TPN Light Novel 2: Moms’ Song of Remembrance - “Searching for the Skies of Freedom”)
This happens when Krone is thirteen or fourteen, and while we don't know exactly when Sarah became grandma between Isabella entering headquarters at twelve and becoming a mom, I default to her assuming the role when Isabella is around eighteen or nineteen and installing Isabella at plant no.3 being one of her first major actions as grandma that would best serve herself.
(Chapter 181.3)
Though with Isabella's scores she had enough justification to frame it based entirely on merit and beneficial to the bottom line of the farms if she booted out another mom prematurely.
(Chapter 181.3 | Mystic Code Book Chapter 1 Q&A)

I totally get why Goldy Pond is a fan-favorite story arc but having read what comes right after it I like the Cuvitidala arc even more. Depsite its short length it manages to pack in some fantastic moments. Here are my personal highlights:
-Spoilers Below-
Getting to see Phil again and see him struggling with being the only one who knows the truth while also getting a glimpse of what happened after the Grace Field fire was really nice. Plus, it's always great to see one of your favorite characters pop up again after not seeing them for awhile (at least in the main story, he shows up in a few side stories).
I wasn't expecting the writers to kill of Yugo but I think the way it was handled brought his character arc to a satisfying, albeit tragic, conclusion. He learns to be a part of a family again and he can't imagine going through losing another. Even if it means he won't get to see them again, he'll do whatever he can to ensure their future. The panels showing him reuniting with his family in what I think is supposed to represent the afterlife was such a bittersweet moment.
Andrew really made the most of his brief encounter with Emma and company. Seeing him with half his face blown off and the way he spoke to and about the kids was genuinely terrifying. Monsters eating humans is one thing but having a human refer to not only his fellow man but children on top of that as mere food, pigs to be slaughtered was next-level. The whole confrontation was really tense and the way Andrew goes out was the icing on the cake. Eaten by a wild demon. His attitude most likely came from his high status and while the more civilized demons may have respected him, status means nothing to a wild monster so he's just another meal.
Finally, there's the beginning of the next story arc which I'm going to start reading as soon as I finish typing this up. The Promised Neverland's story never fails to build intrigue and as always I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes.

182 Days of TPN - Day 99
Chapter 99: “Cuvitidala”
I dunno why Ray’s eyes aren’t colored black as usual in this volume but damn, he looks pretty like this too! And I can’t forget that big smile of his either, aww!
Mhhhmm yeah, it would make sense if Smee was the supporter since he’s so busy while at Lambda and therefore can’t really act out on his own with the many scientists and demons working there.
GF kids? Smart as hell. 28 year old man? Completely dumbfounded.
Even the GV kids are impressed. And I love how those from GF are all so interested to learn about new things, especially if it’ll help out their family’s goals. Isabella raised ‘em right.
Yuugo entering his protective father arc.
Emma definitely has a point that it would be smarter for Yuugo to stay behind and look after everyone living in the shelter. Not only to help protect them in case of any enemies show up, but to also assist with the daily shelter stuff like hunting and teaching them new skills. It’s also so sweet how the duo gives praise to Don & Gilda. It means so much to them they burst into tears!
They’re so thankful they’ll get to help out in the field alongside RE and I’m so happy this grants them some more focus. As safe and carefree as the shelter is, I wouldn’t wanna wait around day after day either.
With Paula up and moving again (huzzah!), we get this quick panel of the GP trio one last time before Zack heads out on the journey as well. I bet she and Oliver miss him when he’s away.
No one can be a perfect father figure right away like you, Lucas. It’s fun to witness Yuugo embrace his bunker dad side though, ain’t it? And our boy Rossi following Lucas’ suggestion and learning morse code just in case the supporters call back is so cute.
Favorite panel/moment:
Again, I love how confused and lost everyone from GV is when the GF kids are busy figuring stuff out.
This chapter is reminding me of the many reasons why I’ve come to love Yuugo. Even though he’s still concerned about the group that’s heading out to Cuvitidala, he decides to offer up a fair suggestion to them rather than dismiss Emma’s plan outright since he believes in her so much. Of course ya gotta love Gillian teasing him as usual too.

...I thought this was going to be a legit scene until I started reading the dialog, lmao. But hey, thanks for reminding me who the important looking demon from the flashes was.
Top three isn’t too surprising, and it’s very good to see my boy Phil getting the respect he deserves. I’m surprised Krone made it into the top ten, but this popularity poll was probably running at the same time as the anime. Anna’s also a weird surprise for 5th place. I feel bad for Don and Gilda, though not even top ten. Glad to see Yugo up there, he’s a good character.

My favorite of the bunch:
(Chapter 92 Bonus Sketch)
Q: Please tell me why Paula always covers her mouth! A: I previously asked Demizu-sensei if she had a scar. It's a GP injury. I think there are a variety of reasons why people wear bandanas, such as it's not fun to show them, they don't want to scare people, or they just don't particularly want to show them. Adam didn't change his reaction when he saw the wound, so I think Paula was someone he could eat with without worrying about it. However, as for keeping it a secret from the other children, at least I don't think that will be the case after the collapse of GP.
(The Promised Neverland Art Book World | Chapter 111)
I also learned from Demizu-sensei at the time that the cloth that Dominic wears around his waist [during the Cuvitidala timeskip] matches the cloth around Paula's mouth. When I heard that, I suddenly felt Dominic's respect for Paula, his kindness, his closeness to her, and all sorts of other warm feelings, and I was taken aback and looked up to the sky. I wanted to show this story off-scene, but when I tried to draw it, it was difficult, and I couldn't draw it. Wanted to tell you this right now.
And for this bit:
Ray and Norman are both smart boys, but the nature of that intelligence is completely different.
I still really like @tempo-takoyaki's and @solitaire-dreams' meta of the differences between the full score trio's types of intelligence (and the strengths and weaknesses that come from that) based on the official site's IQ tests (found here).
Shirai and Posuka's answers to fan questions are here!
Here's the first batch! Part 2 will be released next week.

(the missing question asked which character Shirai sensei sees himself resembling to)
("colored door" implied the colored chapter cover pages. In japanese they're called "tobirae"/扉絵 which literally reads door art)
#such neat tidbits (the sibling bonding between GP kids and GF escapees ;w;)#also literally killing anyone who says Don is weak. come here I just wanna talk—#ALSO SUNNY THAT'S YOU!!!#please please please tell me someone asked wtf is the Noum clan transportation is at the beginning of Ch140#kicking myself for only thinking of questions after the Q&A besides trying ask about Norman's relationship with owls in the human world </3#TPN Interviews#TPN Meta#TPN Cast#Emma#Norman#Ray#Full Score Trio#Paula#Dominic#Adam#Don#Anna#Kaiu Shirai#Posuka Demizu#Goldy Pond Battle Arc#TPN 092#Cuvitidala Arc#TPN 111#glad I got my special edition copy of Vol13 with the interviews when I did#I switched to she/her pronouns for Paula but please correct me Shirai is giving us canon NB or genderfluid rep I'd love that for them

now and then i think about how much more kaiu shirai had to tell and they didn't allow him. how he had to suffer the consequences of working for jump, where how much money you make determines everything. in in an earlier interview he said that he wanted the promised neverland to have 25 to 30 volumes. and now it's finished with 20 volumes and it's been two years but the thought of it still haunts me because i just know that he wasn't okay with it. he had more to tell. he wanted to, if only they let him. i know it from how many side stories there was that we couldn't see the end of. from the way so many things still remain a mystery. i just know that we could have so much more. we could see more mind battles, a more complicated demon society, more action in Cuvitidala Arc, more conflict, more of the perspectives of side characters, a more effectful Ray in the last few arcs, Ayshe actually having that character arc we were so sure we were getting, which then was thrown away entirely. we could have a Lambda Arc, we could see more about Smee and how he helped Norman make an escape out of Lambda. Barbara, Cislo, Vincent and Zazie could have more depth as characters and we could see how they bounded with Norman. we could have a more complicated final battle in the Imperial Capital Arc, where instead of everyone suddenly agreeing with Emma, some of them still standing on the way and making it more difficult for them. like Ayshe betraying everyone last minute to take his revenge from Norman, or Barbara and Cislo and even Gillian and some of the Goldy Pond kids disagreeing with Emma's plan. them actually having opinions. Isabella's death could actually make sense, maybe. in a way that would make us cry for good without feeling deep down that it's so dumb they kill her off like that. we could have a longer Human World Arc, too, where everything went slower and made more sense. We could have so much more. And I think it's obvious from the way they kept releasing extra chapters after the manga's finale, that shirai wasn't fucking done yet

⚠️SPOILER ALERT⚠️
Episode 11 Season 2 of The Promised Neverland
When Emma convinced Peter Ratri to live with them, I thought there will be an intense hostage scene that will result to Peter and Isabella’s death but to my disappointment only one of them died. I love Isabella but her death in the manga signifies her most crucial character turning point in that story so when they removed it = face slap🤦♀️ . However, I still like this scene because we got to see Peter’s relationship with James Ratri and finally know about the promise made 1000 years ago.
When they were about to leave for the Human World, Emma surprised the other children that the trio along with Barbara, Cislo, and Zazie will stay behind to change the Demon World. I thought there was some hope left to redeem this franchise — A fresh start to properly animate GP, Cuvitidala, King of Paradise, Seven Walls, Imperial Capital Battle Arc. 💭 So, their plan was to revive Norman first and then animate the skipped arcs. Hmmm... I think that’s a good plan. I can’t wait for Season 3... 😍👌🦉💭 Damn! I was dead wrong... What the hell was that montage at the end???

It was like watching a slideshow made by an elementary student. I bet it’s an overview of Season 3 if they decided to make it but I’m pretty sure this is the end. Oh my god! What a horrible way of ending this beautiful story!
NorEmma shippers probably got their hearts broken with this..

Because mine was shattered! Who the freak is she??? Norman was cold and unapproachable in the Manga when he was the leader at the paradise hideout so... why is this girl hugging him. Is your name Emma??? Do you have a short orange hair? Did you lose an ear? No??? Then gurl, get your hands off that boi! ✋
Oh wait... My bad! She apparently has two ears again??? 🤦♀️

Nonetheless, you have to stop hugging Norman!!! 😡

..You already know what I’m gonna ramble on about, right? What’s got us manga readers feeling a little bit like this? Yeah.. I have words.
Yes, I’ll be chatting about possible future spoilers, so scroll past now if you wish, but if you frequently check the usual tpn tags anywhere today (or over the next few days), I’m sure you’ve become quite familiar with this guy already, so.. here we go.
Let me start off by saying that I was beyond excited when we first found out we were getting a second season to this series. Having read the manga, I had high hopes that the anime would do so well, given the first couple arcs that follow the escape from Grace Field. From the very beginning, most of us figured it would touch upon the demon forest, the B06-32 shelter, Goldy Pond and quite possibly Cuvitidala. Of course, that was before we learned that this season had an episode count of 11 and would include some anime-only scenes, so we started to have some doubts. The new opening threw us through a loop as well, as a bunch of us speculated exactly how much this season was going to cover in terms of story and what chapter it would end off on. I was still a bit skeptical, but I put some belief in thinking we might be able to at least reach Goldy Pond. The more I thought about how many chapters this season could adapt, I remembered that Fire Force (another shonen series that has its fair share between action scenes alongside some calm, lighthearted ones) managed to fit 90 chapters into it’s first season, which was a total 24eps. I then thought it was possible for TPN’s second season to reach ch96, or maybe even ch101, since the total ep count for both s1&s2 would be 23. The upcoming arcs (GP especially) are undoubtedly more fast paced than the entire first season, which was very dialogue heavy, so naturally these action scenes would take up less time and require fewer episodes to show off. I won’t bash the second season for leaving certain scenes out and/or changing them (as the first season did this as well, albeit less noticeable), but the obvious ones come to mind. The full snakes of alvapinera scene? It was good to see the escapees overcome their first outside world obstacle on their own, sure, but overall it isn’t too important. Isabella’s scene at the gate with Grandma Sarah? Disappointing yes, but I figured they could always include that sometime later in a future episode.. at least, that’s what I’m hoping for. I can forgive the anime for those changes at the moment.. but after what episode 3 decided to pull? Oh no.. now they’ve done it!
I’m sorry.. but who exactly thought this change was a good idea? The anime-onlys must think we’re going crazy right now but c’mon, CLOVERWORKS! Are y’all for real right now?? Yeah they never even announced his voice actor beforehand like they did with Sonju & Mujika before their debut, but damn it! Also, don’t take my word for this, as I only just heard and not completely sure about the credibility, but apparently after ep4, the rest of the season will be like.. original? And I’m not sure how to feel about that if it’s true? I’ll take whatever content we get because yes, I love this series to pieces and want it to last as long as possible, but after waiting almost a full two years to see these wonderful kids animated again.. I just wanna continue on with the story we all know and love, darn it. I know Shirai is overlooking this season and giving his approval or whatever too, so that’s comforting at least.. but still, I just wish we knew this a little sooner, rather than have us find out this way by cutting out one of the most anticipated characters of this entire series! (for the time being anyways.)
Yeah we didn’t see him this episode, but he’s around.. somewhere. No one else is around to write on the walls like that, let alone get into the shelter without a pen. (i also noticed it doesn’t say “poachers” anywhere, so that’s a bit odd too..)
I just hope that whenever our man does show up, whether it be this season or not, that it follows the manga because his introduction is fantastic and his interactions with the kids are so amusing. Honestly, he’s too important to cut out entirely. The same goes for the Goldy Pond arc, which I saw some others worried about too. It’s at Goldy Pond (ch73) where Emma and another man, who we’re also anxious to meet, both find out about how to cross over to the human world via the four premium farms, the supporters, and project lambda7214.
I also saw some people concerned about Mujika’s goodbye to Emma this episode and how upon giving her the necklace, our demon friend didn’t hint at The Seven Walls at all, which is why Goldy Pond suddenly becomes that more important for us to see because it’s also there where the place is mentioned, not only by the many secret files from the pen’s cap, but from Minvera himself (ch72).
Come on now, Goldy Pond arc also does wonder for Emma’s character and appearance. It’s here where we see just how serious she is about changing the world and saving everyone she possibly can. Even if she has to fight crazy, killing poachers, she’ll do it. (also one of those poachers becomes very helpful much later in the story, so there, yet another reason we can’t skip this arc.) Though this all gets me wondering if GP will still get blown up on Jan 29th.. oh season two, you raise so many questions.
Now, could this season completely change some of those scenes even further? Of course, they’ve already done so with other bits of information. Ray figuring out the demon’s weakness in ch62 during the trip to Goldy Pond? Sonju already explained it.
The letter from Minvera that we learn about in ch56 which was originally hidden in one of the manuscripts from the shelter’s archive room? Conveniently pinned to the wall in plain sight!
I didn’t notice this when I first watched the episode but remembered just now while skimming through the manga yet again, but the episode didn’t have Gilda list off the coordinates to Goldy Pond that Minerva noted in his letter.
So how will the duo find their way there? Well, you already know.. and since GP is such an important arc, that’s another reason I believe our beloved man will show up.... eventually.
Going back to the changes now, but it’s Dominic who reveals the secret room behind the piano instead of our favorite father figure.
Although this room, which is supposed to be a full stocked armory, is completely bare..
Like.. hello? Where are all the weapons?? Are they gonna make these kids go out and raid a bunch of the other fake/dummy shelters for weapons or something? which.. actually sounds interesting and fun now that I think about it.
I also noticed that the conversation about the mass-production farms Sonju mentioned back in ch50 was also cut, but I can see the anime easily adapting it into a future episode somewhere, since said farms are mentioned again in ch56, courtesy of the shelter’s many books.
For now it just seems.. I don’t know, a bit easier? like I recently spoke about how Ray had to figure out how the pen worked in terms of coordinates and yet the anime just had the pen show a simple map, then Sonju flat out told them how to efficiently kill a demon, and the phone that allows them to contact the supporters? Oh, they found that instantly, whereas geezer had no idea such a room even existed in those 13 years he lived at the shelter..
Have I spoke too much by now? Probably. None of the changes bother me too much, aside from the geezer’s obvious absence, but I’m still looking forward to the rest of this season, as I’m sure it’ll give more spotlight to some of the other kids aside from Emma and Ray. Season one just did so well with sticking to the manga that I guess we all got caught way off guard, huh?
