the company i work for decided that its switching from the german formal "You"(Sie) to the informal "you" (Du) in all of our websites so now we have to scour the entire database to change it and i quite frankly hate that, not just bc the unecessary extra work but especially bc its such a weird and unecessary change

i bet its bc everything here is getting englishfied (both literally and culturally it feels like, when my new boss talks its half in english bc every second german word is just replaced by an english one despite there being perfectly fine words for it in german too, its so annoying) and bc they want to sound more personal in hopes of getting more clients bc 'company is your fwiend uwu!!', i know this here is the amercian tm site so you wouldnt understand really but i do not want to be greeted with 'du' by companies, no, thats too personal, you dont know me and im not giving you my data, stay away!!

i guess thats how i would describe it .. the formal you is like a polite distance, like someone you dont know staying outside your personal space, but when its the informal 'you' it feels invasive unless i told you you can call me that, and that goes double for companies

maybe its a small thing that doesnt seem important but i cant stand it, im just a little part time worker doing data work so i got no say in it but the companies founder also announced hes giving his post to his kids some time ago so ...... since then theres been alot of changes and new projects that solely aim to imitate whats popular and whats done by other companies, despite ours being one that is, or used to be, intentionally different, like, that was the POINT, but i guess chasing trends is just too appealing for CEOs

Weirdly specific but I love love how in panels where there’s a crowd/people, they never stay in the same place in two panels. They always move even if nothings really happening or if they’re not paying attention to the vocal point of the comic (mc & whitney). I still haven't recovered from Sydney actually oh my god. I went a little um. Crazy. On the snapshots. And I started trying to figure out which pose to do with who and if I should do something special with yooh because she's my ult bias but ultimately I was like well but I love them all. Hearts for everyone. So the first six were in Melbourne and genuinely every single one of them was magical and I don't regret a single bit of that money because I'm first of all so happy I got to thank all of them in person but also I'm going to treasure those pics forever but then Sydney was like. The Big one. You know. AND SHE PRANKED ME.

Man one thing thats kinda funny ab me is that i have issues with like. Telling apart people by features. Faceblindness moments. Features also include color though unless its too jarring a color difference (super white white or super black black) so when people are mixed or not on the sweet spot for me to be able to identify it. They just. Kinda dont have one. Like apologies bud i literally do not know.

I have a question! Do you maybe have any tips for a newcomer about what to post or do with their Blog?

OH GOSH, UH? I mean??? That really honestly depends on what you're tumblr for.

Like, I know that when I first joined tumblr around 2018 or so? I was a lurker for a while. like, "reblogged privately so I wouldn't be 'intrusive'" type of lurker. and then I started to talk in tags and reblogging more, and so I was a more active lurker. and then I posted art sometimes and I was becoming chill with sharing my stuff and being an 'art blog' that mainly consisted of reblogs! and then people I admired followed me and I shared more and then on and on until I got confident enough to just share my stuff whenever!

But that's just me! Some ppl only reblog! Some ppl only post art! Some ppl engage w/ their followers and some don't! Ur blog is ur own house so honestly, do whatever you want forever as long as you're respectful! Really all I can say for sure is, if gunna be posting: don't censor words tiktok style, don't use gradients for one word (breaks screen readers), and don't cross-tag into unrelated stuff bc ppl hate that.

And rehardless of whether you post or not: use the block button all the time if you need to (and if you don't want to see a blog at all, you can put that person's URL into the "filtered words" (not "filtered tags") and it'll always hide their posts), get a profile picture so ppl don't think ur a spam bot, and if you can: reblog stuff and/or tell your fave artists that u love their stuff bc no matter what they will appreciate that shit forever.

So. vague hand motions. just have fun and go wild. even if going wild is just being very quiet. and if anyone tries to stop you then attack them bad style o7

Theres a hilarious hypocrisy I notice of pibble rescue people who clutch their pearls over ear cropping dogs, who also go “awwww!” and absolutely LOVE when they see a big bully with cropped ears. They think they’re so cute. Okay uhh drawing tip let's see,,, I don't have many but my favorite is as long as you're happy with it, it's good!! It's your art, not anyone elses. "Good" art is subjective! Art is a form of creative expression no matter how good or bad, and that's what makes it special :3 same with writing, music, painting, and any other form of art.

Draw what makes YOU happy!!!

And if you aren't happy with where your art is currently at, don't give up. Improving takes a long time, finding a style you like takes a long time. Art takes a long time, and you don't ever have to be perfect at it. Art is solely for you to express your creativity, and I believe you can do it no matter your current level of skills
