Alright but concept for an Arcane au.

Things go similar-ish, but during season 2 act 1 Ambessa actually takes over Piltover more directly, with the help of the other major noble houses, and she ambushes and attempts to get rid of Caitlyn, Vi, Jinx and Sevika during their fight.

Seemingly most of them die, and Ambessa starts to transition both cities into Noxian colonies, but then Jinx comes back from nowhere, and though she's more covered, her colors and pigtails are obvious and starts causing problems for the Noxians, which leads to a heavier resistance from Zaun and from the less terrible parts of Piltover.

The twist is that despite it looking like Jinx, in actuality it's Caitlyn disguised as Jinx. Jinx and Vi were both hurt bad and are recuperating, and Sevika impressed upon Cait the symbol that Jinx could represent, so they both worked together to essentially make Cait into Jinx, so she may try to inspire people.

I just imagine Caitlyn wearing a full face mask that's painted neon pink and blue (Maybe the story is Jinx's face got hit hard during the attempt of her life so she hides it), dyieng her hair light blue and into pigtails, and using make up to mimick the pale skin where her skin is revealed, while Sevika tries to train her in how Jinx would act.
