Da-iCE Albums

Hello, I go by BubbleLove0815 and I'm new to Tumblr and wasn't sure if I was going to use this account to post stuff or not but decided to do a review type thing of Da-iCE albums as I'm a huge fan of theirs and this is the perfect place to post it. It's more of song by song other than the albums as a whole so it's long. I tried to not just put I love this song but with Da-iCE that was difficult so this took me a couple of days to do. As you will notice I mention Sota a lot, if this isn't obvious by my name he's my favourite. Even though it's an EP and not an album I have included REVERSi because it might as well be an album in my eyes.

Fight Back

Fight Back

I really like this song. Cut out the vocals and the music is actually really nice, like it's got an "epic" feeling to it which makes it pretty catchy for me.

Shout It Out

I love this song, it's an upbeat song. I'm glad it was chosen as their debut song. I love the Oh oh oh's.

Bomb

This is my least favourite on the album. I don't like the lyrics that much with the little I can understand. I'm not a big fan of the the glitchy thing going on in it either which I do like in their songs but not big on it in this one. However it is not terrible at all because the chorus and music is catchy so I can and will listen to it but most times I do skip it.

Noise

I love this song so much. Of what I understand of the lyrics it's a song about putting your earphones in, listening to music and drowning out the outside noise. I do this alot so it's very relateable to me. I find it's a very creative song. The live performance of it especially.

Toki

I do really like this song, it's really pretty. However, the acoustic version is far superior to me. The slower pace fits the song much better. I feel this orignal album version is a sped up remix and I don't like it as much. I hardly listen to it to be honest.

Hush Hush

I love this song, it's so happy sounding.

Did You Know?

This is a nice song, but only that. It doesn't stand out to me like the other songs on this album do.

Stay

I feel similar to this than I do with Did You Know? It's a nice song, it doesn't do much for me. However I do love Sota's high notes.

I Still Love You

This is a lovely ballad, it's really pretty.

Startin' Up

I do like this song but I think the chorus is better than the verses and the glitchy sound isn't my favourite thing in it.

Lost Love

Similar to Did You Know? and Stay, it's a nice song. I like it more though, it shows off Yudai's vocals more with a high note but that's it but it's more than what the rest of the album has done to show off his vocal range.

Every Season

Up To The Stars

The little bits of English lyrics makes it sound as if it's a motivational support type of song but could be wrong. However if it is, I really like the message to it. I really like the music and how the song sounds too. It's a good album opener.

Super Fiction

I love that Sky-Hi(From AAA) features on this song. I love his rap on this song.

Billion Dreams

I love this song. It's a motivational one again bit more of a relationship goals song, keep reaching out towards the hopes and dreams of the relationship's future even through tough times. The English version of this song helped me a lot to understand this song a lot more.

Everybody

It's an upbeat happy sounding song but it's saying when you get low in life, pull yourself together and live your it, reach your dreams thing again. In a much nicer way to how I have put it but it's basically that message. Again thanks to the English version.

Cynical Life

I love this song. It's one of my favourite songs on this album. I love the sound of it, it's got fun energy and enjoyable to listen to despite it being called Cynical Life. I love Sota's ow at the end.

I Got Your Back

After the excitement of Cynical Life this song slows the album down for me. It's not a bad song but not one I tend to listen to very much at all.

Hello

This picks the album back up. I love this song in all of the versions I have of it on Apple Music. I find it quite relaxing to listen to.

Mouchidodake

It's a pretty, slow song. It's not my most favourite Da-iCE ballady song though. I find the lyrics(English version) too sickly sweet young lovey dovey for my taste which pulls me out of the song.

Kirenaimamano Coat

A beautiful sounding song. It shows how Sota and Yudai can bring in emotion with their singing which makes you really feel it. Much stronger than any of the other songs on this album and Fight Back.

Back To The Future

This is a fun upbeat song. I really like the heavy beat in the beginning.

Every Season

I really like to listen this, it's a cute song and has a very calm energy which is nice.

Bokuno Kiseki

They bring in the emotion again for this song. Their vocals sound raw and vulnerable against the slower quieter music. It's a beautiful ballad to listen to.

Toki - Acoustic Version

I have mentioned I definitely prefer this version. I feel the slower pace and acoustic sound fits the tone of the song so much better.

Next Phase

I feel the first verse is a bit slow to get the song started but once the chorus kicks in it's a fun song to listen to, even with the yodally vocal type thing they have going on which isn't to everyone's taste.

Watch Out

I will always have a little connection with this song as it was the first Da-iCE song I ever heard. This song sounds upbeat and cheerful which it is, the mesage is positive but the lyrics in the English version are quite dark in places and I like that.

Step Back!

I love this song...a lot. It's got a sexy vibe to it which is different for them. I love the get it on's.

Chocolate Sympathy

Following on from Step Back! it's got the sexy vibe going on. I love this song so much despite how weird the lyrics are...well the English translation I found. I describe it as an adult song in desguise of child's play and that comes off as weird to me but throwing all of that aside as it could be a lost in translation thing I absolutely love this song.

Free Falling

This is such a cool sounding song, it's a rocky with drums and guitars and that's a big plus in my books. Their vocals add to the coolness with the way they sing. One of my favourites on this album.

Fantasy

Honestly this isn't one of my favourite Da-iCE songs. It's ok but it's a song I easily skip. I do like the music/dance break part near the end though. Sounds pretty cool.

Koigokoro

This song makes me feel so angry which no other song has done to me before. They bring so much power and emotion into this song, it's heartbreaking. It has me imagining getting angry and destroying stuff like they do in the movies. My hands start shaking. I think the anger comes from the point of view of the character. He's saying how much he's sad and misses this girl but if you listen to the lyrics it's his fault she's gone and it draws out this anger emotion inside of me. Thank you for the English version.

Reason

This isn't my go to Da-iCE ballad but I do really like it. Sota and Yudai bring in some really good emotion near the end.

Bond

It's an ok, cute sounding party with friends song but I don't listen to it very much at all.

Two As One

It's a nice song which I like to listen to every now and again. Nothing too special.

Paradive

Yes, the song is an upbeat summery and dancey with a nice MV but I do find myself skipping it a lot.

Into You

I think they did justice to this Ariana Grande song. It made me love the song. I find Ariana's version boring I'm sorry to her fans but it's true. Da-iCE have made the music more upbeat and I love the MV they did for it and the added in dance break is chef's kiss...it's so good. I hope Ariana Grande herself has heard it.

A Whole New World

Another cover. I love it. It's beautiful and it's definitely my favourite cover of the Aladdin song by far. It makes me a little tearful, it doesn't help that it was the first song Sota and Yudai sang together at Karaoke which adds on this feeling. I think of this version everytime I hear the song no matter who is singing it, be it the original or another cover of it.

BET

Bet

This song is so good. it's one of my favourite Da-iCE songs ever. I really like how the music sounds sparkley in places.

Fakeshow

I love this song. it's got a good beat and I love what I think is a violin but could be another stringed instrument of the same sort which is a nice touch.

It's Not Over

I really like this song. Sota's vocals sounds more agressive in places and I like that. I really like the dance break music near the end.

Flash Back

I love this song, it feels like it's got a bit more of a serious tone going on, like it sounds more "grown up" in a way of oh they really mean business which I think mostly comes from the MV but the song on it's own still feels like that to me.

Live Goes On

Of what I understand of this song it comes from their concerts. I haven't looked up a translation so I don't fully understand the whole song's lyrics but I do like it. They sing it as part of their encores and get the fans really involved in singing parts of it and I love that. It's a huge song for their fans.

Kimiiro

A cute summery song about a guy being shy around a girl he likes but trying to get with her. I do like this song.

Regret

I love this song. It's a different sound for them with it being a slow jazzy piano song. It's beautiful. It sounds as if it should be playing in a fancy resturant or bar.

Tonikaku Hey

Another one of my favourite ever Da-iCE songs. I've always loved this song from the moment I heard it. The English version is also so good, sounds silly to say as it's the same song but the song works so well in both Japanese and English. I love it so much. I feel like I'm going against what I said about not liking glitchy breaking of lyrics or music type thing before but this song has it but it fits really well into it.

Blackjack

This is such a vocal appreciation song. The high notes and falsettoy parts from both Sota and Yudai are honestly gorgeous. I love the whole song in general and repeats what I said about the glitchy vocals/music for Tonikaku Hey.

Bodyguard

I have so much fun listening to this song, it's another ultimate favourite of mine. I really like the violins at the beginning. Their singing also makes the song so fun to listen to. I love the "it's going crazy" from both Sota and Yudai. Love little spoken moments like this in songs.

Tokyo Merry Go Round

Entertaining carnival circusish sounding song. It's cute. I love how happy and energetic it is in places.

Itsuka

A stunning ballad with stunning vocals to match. I love the part where Yudai sings over Sota's long note, it's the first time I'd heard this happen in songs and I thought the effect of it was so beautiful and gives me chills.

FACE

Fake Me Fake Me Out

I really like this song. I love Sota's high note near the end. It sounds so clean and controlled, especially when he does it live.

Phoenix

I really like this song. The beat is good which makes it catchy. I love what sounds like "hey" going on in the background.

Flight Away

This song is cute and love that all 5 of them sing in it. I love all of their voices.

Yawn

This is a good happy song. One about being on holiday, taking a relaxing break from busy life with more of an opposite vibe to it with upbeat music going on which I really love about it.

Kumowo Nuketa Aozoara

Another classic Da-iCE ballad. A pretty one at that. I love the choreography, it's really pretty. Not that important but it's also their 15th single and that's my favourite number and I approve.

I Still Miss You

Such a stunning song. Sota's are some of my most favourite Da-iCE songs, he writes incredible songs. Yudai sounds really good and I feel it's a way of Sota wanting to support and show off Yudai's vocals.

Back To Back

This is a great song. It's cheerful and I really enjoy it. It's a song which in my opinion they always perform live really well. I don't know what it is but it always sounds so good live.

Damn it!

This is a fun song to listen to. I love how they don't actually sing "damn it" it's dame which sounds like damn it.

Welcome!

This song is cute, it such a happy song. It makes me want to smile when I listen to it.

Say Goodbye To You

Another gorgeous ballad. It's classed as a Yudai song but Taiki took part in writing it too but like I Still Miss You, Sota sounds really good in it so Yudai's also wanting to show off and support Sota's vocals. I love how I get this feeling from these 2 songs and how much they idolise eachother's vocals.

You

Such a beautiful song. The music is really nice. It's really comforting to listen to.

SiX

An incredible sounding song. It's such a good opener for this album. It's another fan song, in the lyrics it mentions songs on this album in it. It also has lyrics release the sixes right now in it which are the fans(Rokumen meaning 6th side, the fan's name).

EASY TASTY

I love this song. It's so poppy and cheerful. It's about a one night stand so a little bit saucy but it's a good song. I love Sota's ah so tasty whisper, it's my favourite part of the song for obvious bias oshi reasons.

Dreamin' On

I liked this song when they released it. It's for One Piece but I didn't like it for the anime as I'd never heard of it before. I only listened to it from a Da-iCE fan point of view. I do still like it, it's not a bad song at all but it's another one I skip a lot.

Time is Life

"I'm breaking free" reminds me of the High School Musical song I'm not going to lie but I love this song. It's so happy and positive. They all sing in it which is a bonus. I love when they all sing in songs.

Found it

I love this song so much. It's a Taiki song and I love Taiki songs. I really like the sparkle sounds at the start.

amp

I love this song, it's got the sparkley thing going on again and with headphones it switches from left to right and I love this so much.

Revolver

I love this song and how it sounds. The guitar is a good touch and their vocals sound aggressive in a good way that it fits the song really well.

Love Song

I have an emotional connection to this song. I was having a rough day and found out they had dropped this song, when I listened to it and watched the lyric video and saw how it showed countries where their fans lived I just cried and that feeling has stuck with me. It's such a gorgeous song in itself too so with the video showing some form of fan appreciation paired with it broke me and I still carry that feeling with me when I listen to it.

It's a beautiful love song. The music is gorgous and their vocals are stunning, especially Sota's long note at the end.

CITRUS

I wasn't keen on this song that much when it came out due to how the chorus sounded but my feelings have changed over time and I've grown to really love it.

Special One

This song has always reminded me of a Jackson 5 song. It's cute and the vocal runs are awesome.

Melody

I knew this was a Taiki song from the moment I heard it even though this was different from his previous songs. There was something about it that screamed Taiki and I was right he wrote this song. It's one of my favourite songs on this album. Their harmonies are beautiful.

I'll be back 2020

This is their pre debut song which they rerecorded alongside other songs. I love it. However I feel there is a beat missing at the end. I've gotten used to it but I'm always thinking there should be another beat.

REVERSi

DOSE

The heavy bass beat is so good in this song. I really love how the start pulls me in with the beat and the breathy sounds.

Clap and Clap

I love the message with this song. It came out during covid times and I heard the rules for concerts were strict in Japan, you couldn't sing loudly or shout out in any way but you could clap. This is such a fun song and makes me smile everytime I listen to it. I love howl at the end.

SWITCH

This song is such a show tune. It's so flashy and epic sounding. I love the guitar in it and they literally do a catwalk in the choreo. I love it so much.

Break out

This is a pretty song. Like with the music not the whole song as a whole. I find the music really pretty to listen to. I also love how both Sota and Yudai singing "mama" in their falsetto high ranges.

Sweet Day

This is such a cute comforting song. It's a lovely love song. I can't say much else about it.

NIGHT OWL

This song is stunning. It's got this dark sensual feel. It takes me places. Their vocals are perfect. It's so beautiful.

Honnehajoke

This song makes me smile. The piano and the trumpet throughout makes it sound so fun.

Promise

This song is so powerful to me. I literally hold my breath all the way through. I get to a stage where I'm like I haven't taken a breath for awhile and force myself to. It's a beautiful heroic song. The MV made sand look so beautiful.

Kartell

This song brings out their more rockier side again with the heavy beats and guitars. It's very jazzy in places too which I love.

SCENE

Scene

I absolutely love the marchy beat to this song. Their vocals are pretty insane with the high notes going on. It shows what they can do with their vocals and I love that so much.

Funky Jumping

This song is really good. I love Sota's more aggresive vocals. The rap section is so good. Even though I love both of them rapping Yudai is such a good rapper.

DANDELION

This is such a beautiful song. With what I understand from the lyrics and lyric video it's got such a positive message. Even if you don't feel strong enough due to certain things happening in life you are. Dandelion is a weed and weeds and plants look fragile but they are strong enough to grow through hard concrete. It's a keep going, don't give up type of message which I love. I enjoy the upbeatness of it even though I would say it's pretty ballady. I love listening to this song, it's so pretty.

Chase

I love Yudai's "Hey, tell me what you want" at the start. I don't know if I should descibe this song as really pretty but to me it is, it's the music paired with their vocals makes this song that way to me.

Pioneer

I love this song so much. It's all 5 of them which I love with any song. They are bringing back the sexy vibe again. The marchy beat is awesome and they rap in it.

Star Mine

This song is awesome. It's a happy upbeat sounding song but in reality it's full of anger and I feel it coming through with the slightly agressive vocals and god damn's which I love. I love it so much. Yudai's rap is yet again so good.

Kenranna Finale

This is a nice song but it's my least favourite song on the album. However I do like it a lot. It's very show tuney again with the trumpets.

H?NTO

I really enjoy listening to this song, it's so fun. In the Da-iCE twitter community I've seen it's about cheating but we won't go there because the overall sound of the song is so enjoyable.

Nuretta Ballad

What a gorgeous song. As much as I love Sota hitting all these crazy high notes in songs I equally love his low calm tone and he has it in this song too, it's so pretty.

Comedian

This is my favourite song on the album. It feels so summery and light but there's a dark sinister edge to it which I absolutely love. Without translating to me it's basically a why be so serious song but could be so wrong.

Highball Boogie

This is such a silly song, it's fantastic. It's about going out and getting drunk. I love how fun and unserious it is.

Answers

This song makes me cry...a lot. Not always but most of the time. When I first listened to it I cried a little but moved on and was like yeah such a beautiful song but then one day that changed when my brain decided it was like them giving me a warm hug and now it breaks me. It's my fault it makes me cry but it such a heart wrenchingly comforting song for me now.

TAKE IT BACK

The first time I heard this song I wasn't keen on it. This changed when the dance practice came out. I loved the chreography to it so I kept listening to it and it grew on me and now I love it, it's such a good song.

I wonder

Such a cute, cute cute song. I love the bouncy music and the finger clicking type of sound in the beginning.

Ride or Die

This is another song I wasn't keen on at first but it grew on me very quickly, quicker than TAKE IT BACK. It reminds me of a 4*Town(Disney boygroup from Turning Red which they recorded a Japanese version of Nobody Like U for) song which I love, it's like they got inspiration from the 4*Town songs. I like how the song stops and starts again and the music's pace changes from fast to slow.

Your Turn

This album is interesting, it flipped on me with the songs I thought were my favourites. This song was the one I was like yes this is the Da-iCE I like after listening to the album for the first time, this has changed. This song has slid down the list. It's a good song still but not in my most favourites. The opening beat is really nice which pulled me in the first time. This song to me feels like a calmer version of Kartell in places.

I'll be your HERO

I really love this song, the music is very beautiful to me. It's very calming to listen to.

Nainmononedari

I really like Sota's whispery talk part so much. He also sounds "whiney" with the high nai nai nai parts but it works with the song and it's not annoying to me, it's a good thing.

A2Z

This song took a bit of time to grow on me due to the auto tune effect on their vocals. It put me off at first but I really enjoy listening to this song now.

My baby

I'm going to come out with it and say this is vocally their best song ever and that's a huge thing to say because their vocals are awesome on all of their songs but I absolutely love both Sota's and Yudai's vocals in this song, they sound so beautiful to me.

Imitation

I do like this song, I enjoy it, their vocals are good and I love how sing at the beginning and the end but it's not one of my favourites on this album.

Never

I've heard this is the least liked song on this album by fans but I generally love it but it's far too short. I feel I get really getting into it and then it ends. I really enjoy the music, vocals and the way the song builds.

atmosphere

It's so nice to hear Sota and Yudai singing in a claquepot(Taiki) style because I obviously love claquepot's music so much and having him do this song for the album was really exciting. I love Taiki's la la la's or is it claquepot? apparently Hayate is involved with the vocals but I can't hear him.

Whale Tail

It's a beautiful sounding ballad but knowing Yudai's way of writing songs there could be an added sexual message to it being called Whale Tail. I haven't been brave enough to translate the lyrics yet.

Story

This is another one of their more rockier songs. I really enjoy the change up in it, how it starts rocky, then slows down and near the end gets this dance beat type of music.

Aware

I love the guitar in this song and how heavy the music gets, very jazzy rock which I love.

Codependency

This is very show tuney again. I have heard it's come straight from SCENE era and I agree. The upbeat theatricalness to it would totally fit on SCENE but I love it on this album too.

Entrance 6

It's a Pioneer sounding song. They all rap in it and the sound is so different for them but it's so good and it works so well. I'm so glad they recorded a song like this. I love Toru's voice, he sounds great with his talky whispery rap. This is one of my favourite songs on this album because it shows how good they are in trying new things.
